2281  Other / Meta / Re: Is word to word copy paste allowed ? on: December 21, 2022, 06:47:27 AM

Almost all his posts are like this, so why was he not reported?  Why was I given the report?  Since you have caught my post copy then why not catch his post copy?  Does he look like your brother-in-law or did you see me if you didn't see him?  If you could report us both.  Why did you report me alone?

Unknown Op

Please check all his posts.

OP, you are in the same locale as this user, and now you know how you can and should deal with posts whose information is simply copied from the Internet, albeit with an additional link. Just send a report to the moderators. In addition to that, you can do as LoyceV advises; this post was not written in a language spoken by people in the Pakistani section.

In this case, you can report it for not being in the local language, which isn't allowed on local boards. I reported it just now.

And secondly, this user publishes posts in a thread "Wall Observer"; this thread does not get much attention from moderators, and probably, as an exception, everything is allowed there, even plagiarism Angry. Just read this thread.

2282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Finally got my boss to pay me in Bitcoin on: December 20, 2022, 06:48:35 AM
OP, what's the problem with buying bitcoins on your own? I don't see the point in doing extra work for this in terms of teaching or explaining to your superiors that you prefer bitcoin payouts. You do not know how to acquire on your own, so as not to be dependent on someone? In addition, does your boss have to keep any kind of documentation, does he pay everyone in bitcoins, or are you the chosen one?
I, having the property of being a skeptic, see your story only as a fantasy with the hope of receiving merit. Fishing and nothing more.
2283  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A way to make it. on: December 20, 2022, 06:24:03 AM
I dont really have anyone to talk to.. I lost my USD that I had saved up .. I kept it on FTX.US.  If I tell anyone who isnt into crypto.. they say im a loser for trusting crypto.. if I tell anyone else they say im a loser for trusting ftx.

Throughout the whole thing(3 years) I have worked a super low end job.. 14$ an hour.. but the business needs me and I am fairly happy.. But I would like a way to make money... I tried alot of different things but nothing has worked.... I am a sincerely good person.. I have some skill in programming.. but people constantly try to take advantage of me.. and im afraid.

Low-paying job...$14 an hour?
Dude, are you sure you chose the right place to be pitied?
2284  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: December 20, 2022, 06:19:02 AM

I find this idea very interesting, the inclusion of the ID of the users who are voted for.
It is true that it will be more work for those who vote, but it will guarantee the votes for those who change their username.

It might even be easier to collect votes with that information.

Considering how many years he waited for the fulfillment of his desire, I do not think that this idea will be relevant. On the other hand, I know another user who managed to change his nickname twice, to whom the admin was favorable. What dances with a tambourine other users should take to convince the admin to change their nickname can only be guessed at. Therefore, changing nicknames to numbers, I think, would be just extra work for the one who will calculate the results.
2285  Other / Off-topic / Re: My story and where it is now..... on: December 20, 2022, 05:55:39 AM
Health is the only value that we have, but unfortunately, we understand this only when it starts to go away. How many people in our time do not appreciate the fact that they are healthy, but spend money on things that destroy them? I agree with LoyceV; everyone has big or small problems, and it's not worth talking about them.
But on the other hand, I am grateful to you, yahoo62278, for your sincerity, total love, and dedication to this forum. If you talk about your illness, then it is important for you, and I understand the reasons very well. I sincerely wish you to stay strong, don't give up, and love life. Despite everything, believe everything will be fine with you, and with this motivation, you will defeat the disease.
We will all pray for you, asking God to help you through this test.

Stay strong!
2286  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Shall we create a small chat room to communicate? on: December 18, 2022, 10:14:08 AM
There are several concerns about the creation of such a group. The OP hopes to communicate in this group of people who are registered on the forum, he writes that the entrance will be free and free, that is, not only people from the forum can be participants, since anyone who wants to can enter the group. Any person who thinks that he is corresponding with a user from the forum can fall into the hands of a scammer, who simply uses the nickname of the person from the forum. It has already been here on the forum, and there were complaints.
Therefore, open communication here on the forum is the best option, without groups and separate conversations and agreements outside the forum.
2287  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why people are always in a sinkhole situation on: December 18, 2022, 06:06:46 AM
Many people are not educated and have no sense of danger in terms of financial fraud. Elderly people, trusting scammers who are very skilled at persuading them to invest their money in Ponzi projects, become frequent victims. And, of course, greedy and lazy people who decide that one day they can get rich doing absolutely nothing. Such people are not sorry. Everyone should have their own head to assess all the risks, and if people are too lazy to conduct their own investigations, then the scammers become their teachers.
2288  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just can't get my eyes off my wallet. on: December 18, 2022, 05:45:13 AM
OP, the more you judge yourself for this habit, the more and more often you will check your balance. Let it go; want to watch? Watch; honestly, you're not the only one doing this. Especially during the growth of bitcoin, a lot of users regularly check the balance of their wallets.
On the other hand, by spending that time learning about bitcoins, once you become interested, you will gradually come to understand that when you hold bitcoins in the long run, worrying about the state of your wallet becomes unnecessary.
2289  Economy / Reputation / Re: It sucks that 1xbit still runs on: December 18, 2022, 05:05:26 AM
OP, can you stop the wave of scams going on in the world? The same can be said about this casino. As long as there is a demand for such gambling sites, this or that casino will exist, there will be deceptions, and there will be people who are willing to be deceived. Every time a reasonable person invests money somewhere, he should learn more about who he trusts. Yes, casino ads are very common on the internet, but it's worth a little tinkering and hitting a few bottom links in a search and discovering that the 1xBit site is a scam.
Do people who go to play there do it?
One thing always surprises me: people playing in a casino are usually greedy, but as with their greed, they allow themselves to be so stupidly deceived and give money without hesitation or regret.
2290  Other / Meta / Re: theymos! Please use the forum account on Twitter to tweet on: December 18, 2022, 04:42:30 AM
Try to transfer this problem to yourself. If you are not interested in the contents of the account, and you have been inactive for a long time, will you activate it only because of the threat of deletion? What will follow next? Again, a break of several years? To keep an account alive, you need to maintain it regularly, but I don't see the need to grasp at straws with the "just keep an account, just in case" rule.
But I agree that a lot of new people would come to the forum if the admin's Twitter account regularly posted news from the forum. But maybe those who come here in other ways have better abilities and, as a result, achieve more.
2291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next generations on bitcoin on: December 17, 2022, 12:58:06 PM
I always laugh at such long-term forecasts. OP, you don't know what will happen to you tomorrow; you don't know what will happen in an hour, but you fantasize in the amount of 50–100 years. Do people forget that they are mortal? Why do you care? Anything can happen in a hundred years, even something you cannot imagine today because new discoveries will be made after your death. Therefore, go down to earthly life and live, save your bitcoins today, and leave the future to your generations; they will figure out what to do with it.
2292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A day with an ally. on: December 17, 2022, 12:35:30 PM
OP, since this is not your first attempt at promoting bitcoin in your area, and after this post, and onward to other cities, you definitely need to change your occupation. I don't know what you do, but you will make a good coach. I sincerely begin to envy such enthusiasts for promoting bitcoin live in your country. Smiley
2293  Other / Meta / Re: Is word to word copy paste allowed ? on: December 17, 2022, 10:19:01 AM
I often report such posts as "low-quality posts." We all need to understand, and I often write about this, that just looking for articles on the Internet is not a big problem. Because the Internet is available to everyone, and we are free to surf it, transferring information to the forum, which is sometimes incorrect, is not worth it.
If no one responds to such copy-pastes, moderators will simply delete them. I see it from experience. If there are no answers, the report is good.
To stop this behavior of those who come here copying, simply ignore or report these posts.
2294  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Chilling Realization on: December 17, 2022, 07:40:00 AM
Any telegram groups or YouTube channels that deal with prophecies are aimed only at personal interest. Their motto, "Subscribe, like, and join a paid group for guaranteed predictions," has become so popular that if I meet something like that, I immediately conclude that these are just other couch analysts.
Even if a person has a good nose, why would he reveal all the secrets? The "money" button is not available on the Internet, but there is only our own experience and practice to tell whether the decision will be correct or not. Therefore, if there is no experience, just be a holder; the ability to be patient is the same experience that will subsequently lead to the expected result.
2295  Other / Meta / Re: Gambling Signature Trap Trolls on: December 17, 2022, 06:37:28 AM
If you see that the topic is self-moderated, just pass by. Topics cannot be deleted entirely if the author does not violate the rules. And this can either be plagiarism or a low-quality post. Usually, such posts are complete copies of other people's articles, but with a link to the source. And even in this case, the moderators will not delete the topic because other users have answered it.
And also, the topic can be moved to a section where signatures will not be visible, and accordingly, managers will not pay for these posts.
As a result of what has been said, do not post on self-moderated topics.
2296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is that guy still rummaging the dump? on: December 16, 2022, 02:41:03 PM
As described earlier, James Howells bought bitcoin for next to nothing and kept his hard drive on his desk. After spilling liquid on the desk, he decided the hard drive was defective and threw it away while cleaning.
Didn't he mine those 7500 bitcoin instead of buying it?

Oh yes, thanks for the correction. Russian sources talk about buying, and I honestly always thought so. But now I've found a deeper story about the lost bitcoins, and yes, you're right, Howells mined those bitcoins on his gaming laptop. (I hope this is a true story)

2297  Economy / Economics / Re: FTX CEO says company engaged in 'old fashioned embezzlement' under SBF on: December 16, 2022, 12:58:04 PM
According to the news that broke the story, the SBF faces a total sentence of about 115 years in all eight criminal cases in which he is charged.
SBF is not being released on bail, which he offered in the amount of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars, for fear that he might escape. Therefore, since he has nothing to lose, he continues to tease the audience, exposing himself as an even bigger idiot. And I would like to hope that being in a prison with poor conditions will fulfill its mission of repentance for what they have done.
2298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 16, 2022, 06:45:26 AM
CZ can't say otherwise. It is convenient for him that people trust the exchange. Had he been elsewhere, he would have said otherwise. This is his business and nothing more.
As for users who will not be able to manage their funds by keeping them in their wallets, they can be metaphorically compared to people who cannot drive a car. People have to agree with the rule that if you can't drive, you can't drive, and you will bear the consequences. If a person loses his keys and passwords from his wallet, it falls only on his shoulders.
2299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is that guy still rummaging the dump? on: December 16, 2022, 06:01:49 AM
@landheer I believe the guy threw the disk away on purpose not by accident, he had this old drive he didn't need and just disposed of it disregarding the "experiments" he made with btc which when he threw the disk away were just worthless bits.
Am I wrong or did he do it by accident?

As described earlier, James Howells bought bitcoin for next to nothing and kept his hard drive on his desk. After spilling liquid on the desk, he decided the hard drive was defective and threw it away while cleaning.

He probably could have made most of it back working a part time job and buying crypto all these years instead of digging in the dump.

I also thought about it. Also, given that he still attempted to hire a team to search, he most likely spent a significant amount of money, to his detriment. Although, knowing you are a millionaire and that your millions are stored in a dump can have a negative psychological impact.
2300  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First terms I followed up before I bought my first bitcoin. on: December 16, 2022, 05:40:10 AM
The title of the post implies some kind of personal performance from the author. But it's just copy and paste, and yes, the OP insured himself by giving a link to where he copied everything.
OP, you not only copied someone else's article but also lied that you yourself did something.
Looks very ugly. Do not forget the OP; the Internet is a big garbage dump, and in order to copy something from there, you need to at least read and understand what you are copying.
