2281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: jgarzik goes berzerk in #bitcoin-dev, wtf? on: December 01, 2012, 08:15:57 PM
I have a question: what would happen if a iran guy in iran make a new bitcoin client and we download and use it? US drone will bomb us? We are terrorists?
2282  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2012-11-30 Calvinayre.com - Bitcoin presented to Casinos in Macau on: December 01, 2012, 05:59:10 PM
Great, this fascist country block me from reading the website linked by DeathAndTaxes

Censorship all the way

2 seconds later Google>copy-paste the link>copy cache>i'm happily reading it.
2283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meanwhile in Macau..... on: November 30, 2012, 09:46:15 PM

2285  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to create second wallet under the same OS on: November 30, 2012, 09:36:45 PM
Yeah.

Note that a single wallet.dat file can have tons of different private keys
2286  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Kosher Money? on: November 30, 2012, 09:12:25 PM
I have no idea. I am no expert about superstitions
2287  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to create second wallet under the same OS on: November 30, 2012, 09:11:22 PM
Use MultiBit, problem solved.

The standard client allow you to switch wallet only if you close the client, manually swap the wallet.dat file and start it again...
2288  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin-qt.exe has stopped working? on: November 30, 2012, 07:19:00 PM
About uninstalling bitcoin: note that bitcoin has only 2 folders: the one where you have bitcoin-qt.exe (with the daemon and src subfolder) and the one inside appdata/roaming where it store the blockchain and wallet.dat

So to "uninstall" it you just have to delete these 2 folders and that's all  Wink

Always backup wallet.dat
2289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: jgarzik goes berzerk in #bitcoin-dev, wtf? on: November 30, 2012, 06:07:22 PM
But it's "illegal" only for USA. And anyway are we sure it's "illegal"?
2290  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Donate to Wikipedia with Bitcoin on: November 30, 2012, 06:05:36 PM
I wonder who showed us the potential of gold...
2291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: jgarzik goes berzerk in #bitcoin-dev, wtf? on: November 30, 2012, 05:46:32 PM
It's page 8, the probability was almost 1 anyway  Wink and what we are doing is not a secret, everything is open
2292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: jgarzik goes berzerk in #bitcoin-dev, wtf? on: November 30, 2012, 05:40:10 PM
What happened is like banning someone because he is saying the racial laws are wrong during the hitler dictatorship, because otherwise the regime would go after you...
2293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: jgarzik goes berzerk in #bitcoin-dev, wtf? on: November 30, 2012, 05:26:26 PM
This is even more scary than what i tought  Undecided
2294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: jgarzik goes berzerk in #bitcoin-dev, wtf? on: November 30, 2012, 05:22:31 PM
But why stopping the discussion?  Undecided
2295  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Donate to Wikipedia with Bitcoin on: November 30, 2012, 05:20:29 PM
Or maybe no. They don't need our bitcoin, then why should we give them to them?
2296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: jgarzik goes berzerk in #bitcoin-dev, wtf? on: November 30, 2012, 05:12:52 PM
Censoring people leads to 5 page long threads discussing the very topic you wanted people to be silent about.

It's called the Streisand effect.

He can simply disagree and say that I, as a Bitcoin core dev, do not support this.

Hard to disagree with this.

I agree with it too. There was no need to ban anyone, his personal and public disapproval should have been enough.
+1!
2297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: jgarzik goes berzerk in #bitcoin-dev, wtf? on: November 30, 2012, 03:42:33 PM
Point is, do you guys realize that the bitcoin client can be easily downloaded from the website? And it does not state "if you are from iran do not download" lol

banning someone because he wrote an article?  Undecided That sucks, a lot.
2298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: jgarzik goes berzerk in #bitcoin-dev, wtf? on: November 30, 2012, 03:30:47 PM
Didn't Iran invent language? They should not have exported that.
I am sure it's illegal to use language because iran invented it. We are all criminals.
2299  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Donate to Wikipedia with Bitcoin on: November 30, 2012, 03:21:13 PM
So merchants pay fees to bitpay so that bitpay can give money to wikipedia for 0 fee even if wikipedia DO NOT want bitcoins.

This is so retard...
2300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: jgarzik goes berzerk in #bitcoin-dev, wtf? on: November 30, 2012, 03:17:40 PM
jgarzik is quite right. The SHA-256 algorithm is property of the US and export regulations for SHA-256 expressively forbid exporting the algorithm or products based on the algorithm to Iran.
Lololol. So US will invade europe if we europeans give bitcoin to iran?  Cheesy

I have a awesome idea: stop hosting services in US.

Seriously, iran people are humans, it's not like they are aliens or zombies
