1444  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-04-03 examiner.com Dutch bank defaults on physical gold deliveries on: April 05, 2013, 01:50:14 PM
This is serious, very serious. A bank not delivering the gold that the people bought means that the crysis is moar serious than what we know. And show how people can't just invest in gold and trust it. Either you physically hold it in your home, or it is just paper. And well, keeping gold at home isn't exactly a good idea
1445  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is this a coincidence? on: April 05, 2013, 01:44:22 PM
Any normal person has enough brain to be able to manage the decimals without problems.
1446  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction Fees as Marketable Security? on: April 05, 2013, 01:42:52 PM
Yup, of course the fee will be collected by the miner that put your transaction in a block. Miners mine because it is profitable  Smiley
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The press turns against us? on: April 05, 2013, 01:39:36 PM
Naah, they only care about profit and market share, an article that speak about bubbles and hacks attract moar readers than a normal one  Smiley

1449  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are we forced to buy whole bitcoins? Why can't we buy 1/2, 1/4 etc? on: April 04, 2013, 07:31:44 PM

I know an individual can. I'm asking if a group can buy half a Bitcoin and split if 4 ways and if so how would we do it?

1452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction Fees as Marketable Security? on: April 04, 2013, 06:52:52 PM
Every transaction have its fee. Miners find a block, receive the new bitcoins, insert transactions and get the fees for these transactions. As long as bitcoin is used around the world and there are transactions, miners receive the fees.

1455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I say it again: REDUCE THE FEES! on: April 04, 2013, 06:34:55 PM

1456  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instascrewed on: April 04, 2013, 06:26:33 PM
The only decent online wallet is blockchain.info, because you can backup your wallet and because everything is done client side. If the service disappear, people have the backup and are fine. If someone don't have a backup? Yeah well, nothing is idiot-proof  Wink If you don't backup your wallet it is your fault.

1458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I say it again: REDUCE THE FEES! on: April 04, 2013, 04:44:12 PM
Oh c'mon, things to do
1)reduce the DEFAULT fee in the client. It was set when price was 10$, not 100. Today the default fee is too high, but most people don't know that and don't change that.
2)increase blocksize, so we aren't stuck at 7 transactions per second or less. Moar transactions per block means moar profit for the miners even with lower transactions

Said that, transactions are required to pay the miners for their work! Eventually miner will be paid only with transactions, no more by generating new bitcoins. So, stop whining and start paying fees for your transaction! Of course not exagerated fees!
