I've calculated and it's not worth the space unless you have massive HDDs to do plotting. Cheesy
ofcourse its better to keep it empty, right? not in use? gathering dust?

can someone point me to an updated mining set up guide?
all of these sperate threads are just freaking confusing. And im in the industry for 5 years already!!!

What OS?

Crowe's windows guide is still relevant, just ignore the section about the wallet.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ytq47AmQZ1rzjoFuMW33c82JkuJ1L61Pdp95ZLbi3-k/edit?pli=1

If you need wallet help this is a relevant quick start guide with pics http://burstcoin.info/d/pdf/wallet_v1.2.pdf

Also if you run into references on editing your run.bat for java versions ignore it, 1.2.3. autodetects your java install.

But yeah we need better tools (some are even in the works like dawallet's win wallet which is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=731923.msg11742790#msg11742790) and updated guides
http://burstcoin.info/guides/

thanks. that's the manual that was confusing, cause its all over the place.
Ill try to get some autoinstall script done for linux/centos

Hi Guys,

I have an idea, it's actually related to something I do for another business.

Would anyone be interested in an Burst asset backed by a share in UK property, likely a small tenanted family home
or HMO (house of multiple occupation) a shared house with 4/5 people paying rent.

A share of the rent is received monthly in GBP £ and this would be converted back to burst and paid to the burst shareholders.
After 2/3 years the property would be sold and we would share the capital + capital gains (increase house price).

So you get regular monthly rental income, plus a complete payout a the end.

To do this we would need to raise at least £500 / $782 and that's about 4,500,000 Burst

I can provide much more detailed information but I just wanted to get a feel for the potential interest.

Would you be interested in this type of asset?

Only if everything is super transparent regarding the legal documents, the identity of the asset owner and so on.
"Fool me once - shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me"

just saying, people will need proof of eevrything, and staying anon is out of the question if you plan to run an asset like this.

Hello crowetic,

Please do not bring me into this. All I got was a message with a content I, at that point, judged relevant to a heated discussion going on here for weeks.

I perhaps will make another assessment in a few weeks and come to different conclusion as I admit to have acted in haste, but today I still see it as relevant to publish as it actually give other possible explanation than have previously been posted. I think that is especially important when things I formally did not know or believe is pointed out. Generally I hold that as a vital principle when dealing with people. The human history is fully of misjudgments and errors corrected with time and reason.

Due to the unstable situation this has caused, I have put my work with my Twitter on hold but hoping to resume soon.

Warm regards,
Karl

Maybe you shouldn't post shit that's outwardly bashing people without proof, if you don't want to be involved.

But it's obvious you're just another shill of this whole psychotic ball of nonsense.

THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT PSYCHOTIC NONSENSE. THIS THREAD IS ABOUT BURST, LET US KEEP IT THAT WAY.

NONE OF THIS IS A PR STUNT EXCEPT MAYBE BY A SINGLE PERSON WITH 4-5 PERSONALITIES. WE KNOW THIS FORUM IS FULL OF THESE KIND OF SOCIOPATHS.

PLEASE EVERYONE, QUIT WITH THE BULLSHIT HERE IN THIS THREAD, IT IS NOT A THREAD FOR BULLSHIT, THIS IS A BURST THREAD ONLY.

seriously. enough is enough, if you want to get into this with me, MAKE ANOTHER FUCKING THREAD. Like I said before.

I don't think this drama is anything good for BURST, and that's what I'm after.

Also, in all honesty everyone here knows who I am, and that I've never done anything except what I say I will, and I've never once lied to the community, stolen, or done anything underhanded. If you feel like you would rather trust an obvious thieving psychopath, go ahead, but I'm really over the bullshit internet drama. If this is how you want to live your life, leave me the fuck out of it, because I'm not that guy. Just let this thread be what it is intended to. Silence the bullshit. Thanks.

^^ What he said.

And I appreciate this not being one of the many Self-Moderated threads. SO the bullshit is sometimes an indicator that the teams are trying to be honest and not trying to hide anything. Sometimes.

Difficulty is going down Smiley

Bitladen still mining as before
http://burstcoin.eu/charts/addresses-by-forged-blocks/day

It's a great time for new miners to mine!

Question for the newcomers, are you a potential miner.

Whats stopping you from mining?

Lost, confused, don't know where to start e.t.c

the last pages of the thread are throwing me off from mining.
I was very excited about POC, but wtf is this shit with PR and devs?

To be perfectly honest, all of this - while very unfortunate - is absolutely nothing compared to some other crypto stories out there.

Also, none of this should reflect on the tech and burstdev. You can blame us for the latest shortcomings, but dev's hands are clean.

Ok, so what is the situation with coin distribution and mining distribution?
newcommers come in with a max of 4TB space to mine with (talking about newbies to crypto, that are not willing to risk more money on hardware; the regular folk)
what would make them want to mine BURST at THIS point? besides, that there are smart contracts (not the only coin btw)

In other words - can you try to convince me (im in this business for a long long time now) to start mining BURST.

Wouldn't be wise if you would hardfork the coin reactivate the POW for let's say 1 more month with the same rewards with POS and increase block spacing to 60 seconds so it wouldn't affect estimated total coins?
New algo would be an attraction to this coin but with such a small POW period it lost the interest no GPU miner, standalone windows miner has been developed for it. Longer POW would deffinitely increase the interest in the coin. Just sayin...

Right now is just another POS coin nothing new

Totally agree. Cpu coin with such short pow? Forget it.

Can you try to keep this thread alive please? With the hashrates falling so fast im reconsidering the intentions of the team, cause everything was set up on a hasty manner. I would expect domains and social stuff to be secured and deaigned prior the announcement date so you'd look professional at least.

I have the feeling this coin is an sleepy one, just mining for some days, to get a good stash, and sit around to see whats going on here

I had this feeling when it came out, but the devs being so quiet after launch is disturbing.

Hello,

Those 68k coins, which I promised to bittick were sent (he just wrote me PM). This is our last gesture to old FAIL holders.

Cheers,

And it is MUCH appreciated!
Thank you for the understanding and support!

MDOGE was launched and its stuck on a huge block, going to take a powerstation to move it along

Im not asking about crap coins Smiley just some coins that would seem to  have a better roadmap or features than this one. Im still worried that some of these coins may be announced just to misguide the hashing power elsewhere a little, while the ones in the know, mine the right scrypt coin Smiley but i guess that type of play is very 2013/2014 Smiley

why is the dev a newbie?
i would like to see who is really behind this coin.

Each of us are all fairly well known in the crypto world. However we arent trying to bank on that to convince people to join the SPEC or CryptoWatcher Community. The newb account is just to consolidate everything into this project.

Those wondering if they should join us, should do so based on merit. Our entire idealogy with this project is to

A. Keep it simple B. Create tools that people will actually use and completely understand. C. Dont Over Promise

Im sure Im leaving a few out, however our goal is to see CryptoWatcher through until its managable by a small team and then move on to the next SPEC orientated project. Placing administrators in each project as they roll out. SPEC is the binder for the group of projects we have planned.

Each person who happens upon the project will have to determine for themselves if its something they want to participate in, in some fashion. We have understood from the beginning that this is not something we can or would try to control.

The fact is, we are going to "Create" Its what each of us likes to do, what we always have done as a hobby and professionally. We are just getting started, but it should be fun for sure.

Thank yo for the reply!
I too love coming up with concepts and seeing them through till they become alive. However, this is crypto world, and even-though privacy is valued, integrity is important as well when it comes to new coins popping out.

I am sure there would be an increased level of trust if we know who is behind the projects.
For all I know now, you could be WoLong after intense english lessons Smiley (you get the gist)

I am willing to help with marketing, resources and ideas (im full of them constantly)
