1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet to use? on: May 29, 2019, 04:16:19 PM
I consider one of the most used and safe wallets in cryptocurrency - MEW, because there you can store all the tokens in the format erc-20 and ether, which is quite enough to feel comfortable
MEW is not really safe though, it is mediocre at best but if you give an additional security measures to it can best any desktop wallet out there which in this case ofcourse accept Ethereum and ERC20 tokens. as for example Trezor and Ledger can be used through MEW, that alone is enough to tighten your security however there's a case in the past about the DNS hijacking that happened to MEW so it's strongly advised for people to use the desktop installed wallet of MEW.
1722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts to invest. on: May 27, 2019, 10:06:36 AM
if you are good at choosing altcoins that still have very cheap prices but have the potential to be expensive it doesn't matter but if you don't have that skill I advise you to invest in ethereum because prices are more stable and won't fall in a short time
choosing altcoins at low prices is now very much on the market. but choosing cheap coins that have the potential to rise is very difficult. because too many coins are falling now and it's very difficult to raise their value.
if we can't find this kind of coins , maybe investing in major altcoin such as eth, eos, bnb coin, ripple . ltc could be good alternative for us.we have much choice in this market about coins.and if we want to pick silent giant its very difficult to find, maybe need alot of research.
Its not hard to find the slient giant or the sleeping giant rather because we always mention it at all times . the sleeping giant that im talking about is the bitcoin and i know that everyone agrees with it since bitcoin is the only giant crypto in terms of price , popularity , usage and many more  but your suggestion above is also good . they are all a good alternative to bitcoin
It's steadily waking up though, I mean when people heard about cryptocurrency what comes to their mind first is bitcoin, it's not that people don't know bitcoin potential they are just really doubtful about it, same thing when internet first appeared, If what you mean with sleeping giant is the fact that bitcoin has gone through rough bearish market, well, that's okay, lets hope new ATH to come so that we can finally call it a waking up giant.
1723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A New Bitcoin Rival Is Coming? on: May 27, 2019, 09:53:12 AM
it has nothing to do with bitcoin it will surely be a centralized altcoin maybe I would say more similar to ripple, it will never worry bitcoin...
That's obviously, people are using bitcoin for one exact reason, DECENTRALIZED and the fact that no company or government owns it. there's no way coin that's created by facebook, a big company will pick bitcoin users' interest, well maybe there's some people but using coin issued by facebook is as bad as using paypal, that's only my guess though.
1724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does exchanges do differently for IEO? on: May 27, 2019, 04:45:42 AM
In my opinion the most important thing is to see who made the IEO, if it is a big exchange that has good credibility and reputation then I can say that they will not commit scam because if they do then their exchangers will be at stake and they may not want do that because even without scam, they can get a large income from their own exchangers even every day
If it's not in a trusted exchange, it will still look simply as a ICO then been listed in exchange fast. It's good to be listed in exchange already since some old project still unable to find exchange where their coins can be listed. But now that they start in exchanges what we need to think is how long that project can last in the market as well their team and goals in the future.
That's the point, the main selling aspect of why IEO seemed to be more legit than an ordinary ICO is the fact that it's listed by the popular exchanges meaning that they have been inspected by the exchanges, that includes document, developers identity and many more.
It's not a rocket science that more people will definitely put the trust into IEO rather than ICO, however whether the project will be succesful or not that's an entirely different matter.
1725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big Merchants Now Accepting Bitcoin on: May 26, 2019, 10:44:49 PM

The mass adoption of Bitcoin for businesses and others is our hope
Hope for what ? For the pump/bull ?  . These mass adoption are only optional because bitcoin and cryptos can perform verry well with or without them  . Have you noticed before when cryptos are not yet popular ?  There are still a demand for them and the price still sky rockets  .

Despite the fact that what you said is true, bitcoin could still holding on even if there's only minor merchant accepting it, however as satoshi has said from the beginning that bitcoin was created as a meant for currency and currency is used to buy something, used for trade so there's nothing wrong in hoping that mass adoption will come for bitcoin, it's simply because more bitcoin users will have the conveniences to pay goods without the need of converting back to fiat.
1726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BItcoins supply infinite?? on: May 26, 2019, 10:30:09 PM
Interesting question. Technically they do.
lol NO, technically the amount of bitcoin will be created is finite, practically it is infinite for us people who lives at early stage of bitcoin development, but it will eventually reach 21 million anyway so that's kinda obvious.
There's nothing we can do about that since that's already decided from early on and we are talking about decentralized currency here.
1727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 61-year Old Chinese Grandma Convicted For Stealing Electricity To Mine Bitcoin on: May 26, 2019, 09:56:29 AM
Of course, an elderly person is a pity, I think there are pitfalls in this story, maybe a grandson or a son did this and the grandmother took the blame. And it is not clear how she stole electricity from the state, the article does not describe.
that actually does make sense, I mean it could be that grandma took the blame for someone else just as you said since it's just by nature for the parents to protect their child if we are talking maybe it's that grandma's relative or simply her family.
However as the family has reimbursed the funds I guess it will be fine, but im pretty sure the police will still be looking after that grandma lol.
1728  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin hit 100k in 2020? on: May 26, 2019, 08:20:07 AM
Bitcoin's potential is very high but reaching $ 100k I think it's very heavy. and it must require some time to arrive at the right time, so I think $ 20k is realistic for the increase in bitcoin prices when 2020
If the things around bitcoin is quite positive I think that's possible and ofcourse that'll likely take a long time to happen however it's still possible, more realistic approach is maybe $20K and that alone is enough to get more people pumped just like you said it's more realistic, maybe people should chill a little bit.
1729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The used of Bitcoin in Africa on: May 25, 2019, 09:08:34 PM
Bitcoin is the last thing that AFricans need, many o them don't even have the technology infrastructure to implement bitcoin payments at stores.  The real problem is the wealth inequality and as long as other countries keep using Africans as cheap labor nothing will change.
It is sure the last thing for majority of them if we are seeing how the technology progress there, but it is an undeniable fact that currency in africa, more specifically minor country inflates really bad that people there will always trying to seek something with means to save wealth, that's why sometimes bitcoin is a lot more expensive there.
1730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bear market season change to bullrun? on: May 25, 2019, 08:01:17 AM
That is business for you. Seasons changes. In business, we have 4 major faces, Depression, recession, recovery and boom. Many saw it coming while many did not. Buying now is good but buying at the bear market was better.
If I recall correctly I've seen those phase as you mentioned in some kind of trading graphic however it seems that thing proved to be true although not entirely true though.
However, it's such a fresh air that the pumping which everyone have awaited finally arrive and that's certainly a business opportunity as you said.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we should belive Crypto? on: May 25, 2019, 05:06:35 AM
As you know risk of loss is every where and in every business, so if you hold and have Bitcoin and other altcoins than you don't need to worry because in 2019 will be good year for crypto.
Not really sure about that though, this last few months is certainly a good time for crypto considering the price is increasing more than %100 for majority of the cryptocurrencies however we're still a long way to go to be able to say that this year will be the year of crypto meanwhile something could just happen like a year ago when people are fascinated with bitcoin due to the new ATH but ended up screwed because they are feeding on their greed.
1732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets be careful on what we are investing on: May 24, 2019, 10:30:30 PM
Fake project is one major prevailing problem facing cryptocurrency world. Currently, many projects are out there to defraud people in different ways. some after ICO  the will disappear while some will enter exchange and forget investors there.
I think that is why theres something called IEO where the exchange will requires verification for any of the upcoming project that wants to use their service so that the legitimacy of that project will be known by people, that also what contributes to the popularity of IEO simply because people judge it as more legit than ordinary ICO
1733  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will happen if BTC hit 1.000.000$ on: May 24, 2019, 09:32:01 PM
If bitcoin reaches a price of 1 million, there will be a lot of scam in crypto and it is possible that the government will be more assertive about the ownership of bitcoin.
The government will be more likely to push the taxes to whoever have the bitcoin considering they can become a really good ta
xation object I mean ez money for the government, however the bitcoin users will also face the difficulty of high transaction fee and will undergo many verification by government which is pain in the ass.
1734  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallet Hacked? on: May 24, 2019, 12:55:55 AM
Can hardware wallets like Ledger Nano be hacked and their coins stolen?
all systems still have loopholes to be hacked including hardware wallets, but hardware wallets have a smaller hacking potential than wallet software
Actually back in the past these hardware wallet have some kind of holes that's leaked around but fortunately this problem can be sorted out by the company, mainly it's a hardware problem that can cause such serious cases however it's still a fact that a hardware wallet is a lot more harder and need so much resources to be hacked than desktop or even browser wallet like metamask.

The 2 factor authentication that was built in to the hardware wallet is enough giving the hacker a hard time not to mention the encryption, unlike for example MEW that can got the DNS easily hijacked in the past.
1735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: sick of high fees Ive moved over to alts on: May 23, 2019, 03:28:19 PM
Actually, I'm more interested in who you are sending the bch and bitcoin sv to?
As far as I know, no one uses it or wants it.
It's only traded and is totally speculative.

BTC on the other hand, actually has use cases that are pretty widespread and useful.
So fees, fees, fees, its part of the tech.
If you are annoyed with it, than steer away from micro transactions and only use it for bigger ones.

Or you could switch to one of the generation 3 blockchains like iota, nano, or byteball.
Out of those, I like nano the best.
Once you use it, your eyes will be opened, you can never go back to normal blockchain again lol.
Exactly, Bitcoin SV or BCH are jokes, there are no people that really wants it considering that these two are just rip off from bitcoin and dont really have any use cases because they are not widely accepted as means of payment unlike bitcoin which has already become a universal means of payment in cryptocurrency.

The fee itself is actually already does make sense, even paypal is a lot higher than BTC but no one complaints anyway. There is also lightning network that could speed up the transaction and make transaction cheaper.

People could however still choose to stick using lower fee but giving away speed, the transaction fee increase because people are pumped up to move their coin in fear of missing the train.

1737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BNB the Next Bitcoin? on: May 11, 2019, 12:54:30 AM
These platforms have completely different functions. You do not compare the tractor and Lamborghinny? Yes, and that and that has a wheel, wheels and the engine, but intended for completely different things.
That's what im thinking right now how more and more people being so crazy to create a non sense comparison between the different platform that worked on the different technology. this is a joke thread Cheesy
1738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Huobi vs BNB on: April 05, 2019, 01:00:56 PM
there is a big gap between HT tokens and BNB. BNB has a huge influence on a global scale. most users of HT tokens are Chinese. I prefer to make deals on BINANCE.
Because there was a lot of manipulations in the chinese exchange site, binance was having a lot of actual volumes and that's real. Binance will always become a winner from the various views. We are talking about the number 1 exchange site in the world for crypto.
1739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH will go back to $1 this year here is why.. on: April 05, 2019, 12:55:51 PM
I'm glad that you are not posting here anymore you have not logged in since November 2018 and is good news to the community, another one less idiot here who posted crap without offering good analysis,I think because of this post you have take a vacation here in this forum, make it permanent.
Op already inactive for a few months and i thought that he was using another account. Hawaii has created FUD to some icos and this was a big joke if he was accusing ethereum and created FUD to ether. I have seen some people look similar to him in the past.
1740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protecting Your Computer? on: April 03, 2019, 11:09:01 PM
I use the Linux Ubuntu operating system. This helps me to protect myself from viruses and other unpleasant programs. I can open any sites and letters without fear of getting a virus on my computer.
I think that Linux is the best operating system in terms of security. And I am very grateful to its creators!
I was putting linux OS for my raspberry pie to store crypto and that gives me more convenience rather than use any other offline or online wallet. Because it's too rarely to find someone that interested to develop the malware for linux. that's the best solution too and i agree with you
