1821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did Bitcoin REALLY Hit The Bottom? Are We There Yet? on: January 23, 2019, 10:46:14 AM
You seem to advertise the exchange nauticus. No one knows when the market will turn. How long can we discuss this?
It can't be determined but it will be so long until this guy will create another thread to shilling for NTS coin. I have seen a bunch of similar thread that created by this guy in the past. When there will be no any feedback again and i believe he will create a new thread in the future.
1822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee - has offcially lost his mind! Exiled, plans to run for the campaign on: January 23, 2019, 10:42:59 AM
Cryptocurrency promoter John McAfee, announces that he is charged by the IRS, flees US, heading towards Venezuela and still plans to run for the presidency. It's good though, he gets some attention towards crypto markets..haha

Article: https://blockmanity.com/news/john-mcafee-on-the-run-after-irs-charges-for-felonies/
I can imagine how much money he has been getting it by promoting the ico. Each ico must pay 100k - 500k dollars for each advertisement through his twitter. i'm not getting any surprise when see he was getting charged by IRS.
1823  Other / Off-topic / Re: will bitcoin give surprise, ?? on: January 23, 2019, 10:41:27 AM
Experts say we didn't even hit bottom yet.
How they can determine the bottom price of crypto? why make you still believe their opinions while the fact that there was a bunch of their prediction regardnig to the future of crypto getting failed, trust yourself is much better than someone else.
1824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP competing places with ETH? on: January 23, 2019, 10:39:30 AM
Too fast and short XRP reclaims its position from Ethereum. I am still hesitant to invest now, the market is still not good. More often red and no significant changes. How do you respond to this? Will you still survive to buy several altcoins? Thank you in advance.
I also made a pause for investment, in December I bought Ethereum and XRP coins, and now took a wait-and-see position on the growth of my assets. I believe that if a couple of months will see some fundamental changes in the market, you may have to drain coins.
Ethereum has planned the hardfork to be implemented next month and this will definitely change the fundamental of ethereum but not sure about ripple. the price of ripple looks very stable compared to the ethereum and just waiting the next news.
1825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Dapps will ever outnumber Apps? on: January 22, 2019, 07:25:00 AM
After increasing blockchain speed, dapp start coming to our live very fast.
For me big future behind IOT, there is need total security to prevent control by 3rd persons technics in your home, dapps give this opportunity

But not all of platforms are understand about what's the deficinition of decentralized apps. I guess it needs the more research to get the more potential from the dapps and blockchain. It's not easy to implement it dude.
1826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Coinbase Telegram Group existed? on: January 22, 2019, 04:54:30 AM
Hello everyone,
I researched and found out that coinbase has no Telegram chat support, but one day, I see this group https://t.me/coinbase_chat, they talk about Coinbase Information and support everyone here enthusiastically.
Is it a real Coinbase Group?
It's not an official coinbase's telegram group. If CB has its own group and it might have informed to the all of users through put the telegram icon to the website. If there was no a telegram icon and that means coinbase doesn't have a telegram group.
1827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2019-01-21]Ethereum’s important upgrade postponed to late February on: January 22, 2019, 04:52:27 AM
I thought it will only take up to a week but that's for real?

Are they trying to go along with the hype of ETF's result?
To make sure there will be vulnerbility in the code is much better rather than put the speculator as their priority.
There were hundreds of platforms are running in ethereum blockchain and that means this fork must safe from any vulnerability.
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MYCRYPTOBANK.IO - CRYPTOBANK FOR CRYPTOCOMMUNITY (preICO 16/07/2018) on: January 22, 2019, 04:47:01 AM
The ongoing ICO has been completed, with a maximum of 795,500,000 inventory tokens
how much has been collected, has it reached the target. I can't find the detailed information
Interesting, but the site shows that the main sale will go for another 13 days. And 795,500,000 is MAX SUPPLY TOKENS. It is interesting to know how much money is collected at the moment.
why in sales, the total results of the acquisition were not announced publicly, making people curious about the existence of this project
I ever seen the team has announced if they have already acquired more than 3 millions dollars from the crowdsale but they are cloosing the table of raised funds after that. Just curious about what's the reason for that.
1829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DECENT Announcement - Decentralizing Content Distribution on: January 22, 2019, 04:45:43 AM
Stop feeding the troll who has dedicated his life to DCT.
Lol just curious about how these trolls are getting paid by DCT. Man, so many investors are expecting a big gain from this project but this become the next fail platform. But those early investors are never did sold their shares in a very high profit.
1830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 51% Attacks on: January 17, 2019, 02:35:44 PM
many experts say that 2019 will be the year of attack 51 percent and in this year there will be a lot of losses for coins that work with proof of work
Because they are not preventing asic to dominating the hash power in the network and that's their fault to not put their focus to prevent it before. If that happens and they regret it and do a hardfork. That looks so amateur for me personally.
1831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lesson from bear market on: January 17, 2019, 02:34:26 PM
the most important thing is, when the price reaches the highest, we must immediately sell, do not wait to rise higher, because it could happen that it drops dramatically. and when the market falls, it's a good time to buy. this is a very important and valuable lesson, not only theory but also experience directly in the crypto market.

No body sell at the highest price as no one knows which is the highest price. When there is a pump in a coin and the coin is moving up, it seems that it will go further up. We become greedy and do not sell. Then after some time it starts to decline and we regret that we did not sell at highest price.
Because when the reach the highest price and they are expecting more than it and they have no time to sold it. The only lesson that we can take from this case just always try sell when it reaches a high price and don't be a greedy person.
1832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video call for KYC verification on: January 16, 2019, 10:58:05 PM
One of the most common platform that is used these days for kyc is, civic app. They use like video capture for kyc and it is a safe platform, because only the ash of your document is saved. So you have no reason for panicking.
There are others who also provide similar service, but I do not trust all, most especially when it comes go that form of kyc.
No sure about that but still many, many platforms are doing it manually. I have used civic and it's easy to do that. but the problem is when it takes a very long time to process our KYC. This should be fixed.
1833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook is Developing a Cryptocurrency on: January 16, 2019, 10:56:07 PM
I'm glad to see Facebook and a host of other top organisations getting interest in Bitcoin, Blockchain and cryptos. It brings so much joy to my face. Facebook had always had a thing for Crypto but Can't just take the bold move because of the regulatory processes and requirements around it. Seems they're finally going all in. I just hope other Companies follows suit.
It's just a rumour and you should check it through use various press. It's clear if there was someone spreading this rumour around the crypto holders. facebook has been using various payment system but they are not having any interest to create their own crypto.
1834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptopia Fee Shares?? on: January 15, 2019, 11:16:36 PM
How does this work?  You just hold CEFS and however much you hold on the exchange you get a certain percentage of fees paid based on how much of the CEFS you hold???

yup, just hold on exchange and get dividends the first of the month
see calculator here: https://www.cryptopiashares.com/

I just got one and feel this is one of the most underlooked and undervalued exchange coin out there.

would love to see this go back to its 10k value +

I love low supply coins and feel this one is a keeper with only 6300 supply!

How is this working out these days?  What's the current return and how do the payouts work?  I'm assuming you accumulate dust for hundreds of coins in your Cryptopia account on a monthly basis?

Well today everyone who invested in CEFS is in a bad spot... with the "hack" and all. With that being said... Cryptopia volume has been down the drain for quite some time now, and CEFS has lot a lot of value even versus BTC since I made this post some months ago. I didn't invest and would have been a bad choice, hope nobody saw this and got burnt.
The latest hacked case of cryptopia can be considered as the main thing to make that shitty exchange site will declare its bankrupt. Cryptopia's volume has been drained by the hackers. it will be so difficult to recover.
1835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Constantinople Hard fork to be delayed on: January 15, 2019, 11:12:58 PM
The much anticipated upgrade to Ethereum network is set to be delayed yet again to a yet to be known date due to critical vulnerabilities discovered on the to be implemented upgrade, according to Coindesk.

Smart contract audit firm ChainSecurity flagged Tuesday that Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 1283, if implemented, could provide attackers a loophole in the code to steal user funds. Speaking on a call, ethereum developers, as well as developers of clients and other projects running the network, agreed to delay the hard fork – at least temporarily – while they assessed the issue.

Participants included ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin, developers Hudson Jameson, Nick Johnson and Evan Van Ness, and Parity release manager Afri Schoedon, among others. A new fork date will be decided during another ethereum dev call on Friday.

Discussing the vulnerability online, the project’s core developers reached the conclusion that it would take too long to fix the bug prior to the hard fork, which was expected to execute at around 04:00 UTC on Jan. 17.

Called a reentrancy attack, the vulnerability essentially allows an attacker to “reenter” the same function multiple times without updating the user about the state of affairs. Under this scenario, an attacker could essentially be “withdrawing funds forever,” said Joanes Espanol, CTO of blockchain analytics firm Amberdata in a previous interview with CoinDesk.

He explained:

“Imagine that my contract has a function which makes a call to another contract… If I’m a hacker and I’m able to trigger function a while the previous function was still executing, I might be able to withdraw funds.”
It's better rather than nothing, we know first update in the last year has been successfully implemented. It might get a little delay because there must be another stage to check the possibilities of another vulnerability in any EIP.
1836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I'm NOT Buying Ethereum... on: January 15, 2019, 11:06:46 PM
Intro:

Back in 2017 it looked as if Ethereum was on its rise to becoming a dominant crypto in this sector, then the crash happened...After the big crash the entire crypto market took a hit, but Ethereum seemed to take the biggest hit out of any top 10 coin in the market. Ethereum was eventually "gapped" by XRP. Recently Ethereum has been fighting back to reach 2nd place in the cryptoverse, but here's why I think this will prove to be ineffective.

Ethereum:

The biggest problem with Ethereum is ICO's. ICO's are becoming a thing of the past and STO's are starting to takeover. This could save Ethereum from plummeting further, but the issues is with the fact STO's won't be as big of a craze as ICO's were. STO's require REAL results, while ICO's were just ideas and white papers. STO's require REAL investors with a BIG net worth, while (most) ICO's allowed anyone to invest. The main issue is that not many people will be able to buy into these STO's. There also won't be as many of them as ICO's. I think STO's could actually be successful and potentially great for this community, but their impact on the ETH price won't be near as great as ICO's were.

Where We Are Today:

There are still tons of quality projects out there that have the potential for big rises. Bitcoin is the leader in this market and one can assume will always have some type of value regardless of fundamental uses. Nauticus has been generating a lot of buzz recently with their launch and there's potential for their NTS token to do well within this community. Certain STO's are making great strides in the market and appear to be legitimate projects that should further legitimize this community. WEAK PLAYERS are bailing on crypto & this is GREAT. We want all of the scammers OUT of this community, so that quality projects can soak up the money that is left behind.

Projects mentioned:

Bitcoin - (self explanatory)

Nauticus - https://nauticus.exchange/

Ethereum - (self explanatory)

STO's - https://www.listico.io/sto/list

Disclosure:

Do your own research...be smart with your money  Grin
That's so sad anyone who have invested in nautius has already lost more than 50% from the ico price in the bitcoin terms. This is pure a garbage thread to shilling for nauticus. are these STOs registered in SEC? not even one of them. ethereum is utility and you should know the differences. jajajajaja
1837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Coins are a great LONG-TERM investment ???? on: January 15, 2019, 09:39:40 AM
Hey folks,

what do you think, which tokens are a great investment for 5-10 years?

All people tend to speculate on short-term moves but I am more interested in tokens that will go up x times over the next couple of years...

so to say, the Amazons and Googles of the crypto world.

Which coins are REALLY GROUNDBREAKING in your eyes and why?

I mean Bitcoin started the whole thing but technically there are so much better, safer, faster, more anonymous coins that should take over in the long run.

Please share your opinions
And what you do not like ripple, see how he dropped the ether and showed all the power. Well, of course, and it is worthwhile to take the fork of Zilliqa ether and Zerox.
55 billion is ready to be dumped by ripple team to the market. It's very known as centralized coin and then zilliqa is even better than ripple. Just the matter of time until ether takes the second spot again.
1838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why each and every ico is failing.??? on: January 15, 2019, 09:35:58 AM
I am observing since last six months...each and every ico is failing drastically...even the most succesful ones which got funded within the time limit...when enters the exchange their price is dropping by more than times....investing in ico these days meaning throwing away your money
Investors no longer believe in a favorable outcome and it is easier to buy ready-made tokens, which are rather quickly dumped than to wait and take risks. Both trust and interest are falling.
The trust and interest from the market to the new coin. Remember this becomes a very important thing to prevent the price gets dump to the bottom. That's why any trusted ico must build its community.
1839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IS This the Longest Bull Run For an Altcoin in 2018 ? on: January 15, 2019, 08:48:21 AM
It's a scam coin have you seen the cock suckers who work for etheera I wouldn't trust them even if my dick was in there mouth
Don't mind it a shit scam coin which only gained a short term pump with the daily trade volume less than 2k and when it gets a flash pump and the volume less than 25k and this is absolutely shitty coin but has already dumped to the bottom.
1840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ultimate Guide to Small Market Cap Cryptos Part 3! on: January 15, 2019, 08:36:40 AM
There's a lot of gems out there at the moment, it's just sifting through a giant pile of garbage that takes effort. Hopefully this guides helps narrow down the hunt a little :p.

BBS
But just curious about what's your reason to include the deeponion and melonport in your list. So far if you are seeing about the fact that deeponion has no future. It's a bit risky to take small caps coin in these days.
