2281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 12, 2022, 04:22:05 PM
Valencia are still unbeaten for six weeks in the La Liga. Today they were close to defeating Rayo Vallecano actually but it ended in a 1-1 draw. Rayo Vallecano's streak is much worse now. They haven't been winning any game for twelve weeks in the league. This must be really alarming for them now. There are still many weeks left for the end of the season. And they are still under the risk of relegating from the league now as the gap with the relegation are is six points currently. They must find a way out quickly.
Rayo Vallecano did well in holding down Valencia in the game, for a team without a win in 2022. Fans would have expected Valencia to have taken the maximum points inorder to hold on to thin hopes of Europe but again, they disappointed but good thing is they were able to stretch their unbeaten run of form in La Liga to six matches.

So, the financial terms for the Mbappe and Haaland deals are finally announced - and they are out of this world.

Since Mbappe is free to leave without compensation to PSG, Real is offering a 100 million signing on fee plus a 50 million euro yearly salary - meaning that the 5-year deal costs 350 million Euros.
Haaland is just a bit less expensive - City's offer is 70 million for the release clause, 80 million agents' fees (including signing bonus) and a much lower salary than Mbappe's - 30 million euro per season. The value of the whole package? 300 million euros.

Top clubs can pay this, though. But I don't think any player is worth this much compared to the rest.
Mbappe to Real Madrid is a general desire of most football fans but as the day goes by, it get slimmer and slimmer. I won't be surprised if Mbappe decides to stay at PSG after this season though. Although, Real Madrid will do all they can to lure him to sign for them because signing him will be a good deal not only in the pitch but also financial basis.

Looks like Brentford are back to their winning ways, after humiliating Chelsea with a 4-1 away victory and they beat Westham United who are competiting to qualify for europa League next season with a 2-0 win. If Brentford can continue this remarkable wins, they would surely be among the top 10 teams on the league table. Their next fixture is Watford who are ranked 19th position on the league table, Watford are in the relegation zone, they are definitely going out of the premier league this season after a poor starts in the beginning of the season.
Since Christian Eriksen joined Brentford, they have won every single game he has started and played 90 minutes, looks like he is their good luck charm. There are other good players in that team, Toney who already have 19 goals contribution for them this season. You've got to admire the zeal and tact shown by the Brentford players, the players in the team seem to believe in themselves and rallying  behind each other hence their recent winning records.

Most of the peoples feeling Japan is no competition for Germany and Spain may be it is right but still in last few years few Asian countries are working hard for improving their quality in soccer and Japan is one of these countries as now they have very strong league and few players are joining European Leagues which giving them some good technique and experience for having better quality.

German and Spanish players are enjoying with their best system and long tradition in soccer which is very helpful for them all, but surely in next few years these Asian teams could be more experienced and better in quality which will give them some better respect in soccer community.

Currently, Japan has no chance for going into next round in presence of Germany and Spain because these are much superior.

The fact that Asian teams (for example, South Korea) have shown phenomenal progress in the last 20 years is undeniable, but everything is known in comparison and Europe also did not stand still at this time. Therefore, even with the increase in the level of teams from this region, the actual gap in the class has not changed much, it seems to me. I think that having got into the group with Germany and Spain, Japan can only rely on the mistakes of these teams, but not at all on "its own strengths". I will certainly write this outcome in my betting calendar - it seems to me that it will be a easy +20%.
If South Korea could beat Germany four years ago I think Japan can have a go against Spain or Germany too. Just probably, most football fans are clearly underestimating Japan because obviously we can't compare the level of football in Europe to that of Asia but again football is a team sport and the team that seemingly want it more always come up on top after 90 minutes. I don't think Japan can top that group but I would give them a chance to qualify as runner-up.

It is really interesting to hear that Real Madrid are after Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe at the same time now. Because I don't think that the financial rules of the league will let them sign them both. Because they will need to pour a lot of money for their demands. But maybe they are seeing Haaland as the alternative to Mbappe now. There is no guarantee for Mbappe to join them yet. But if they sign even one of them, it would strengthen them incredibly much.
Mbappe is Madrid first option because he is free and obviously hasn't been asking for unreasonable commissions like Erling Haaland plus he also has a better injury record. Real Madrid are only worried about cost when it comes to signing Haaland not because Mbappe is better than him. Its all about which player will make them spend less, maybe Haaland should just sign for Manchester City.

This is not just an understatement of Villarreal but indeed Bayern Munich did it in the second leg, bad results always happen in the first leg right
Bayern Munich does this almost every season the first leg target is playing safe the target in the 2nd leg is to destroy the opponent
I'm not surprised if Bayern Munich will go to the final again well usually they lose in the final.
There are several times that Bayern Munich was defeated in Leg 1 and they can win in Leg 2. They are only conceded 1 goal in Leg 1, they are still very possible to qualify for the next round. Villareal isn't a too weak team, they proved it by winning the Leg 1. But with the capability of Bayern Munich, we can predict that Bayern to win with big scores in Leg 2. Moreover, the Leg 2 will be held in Bayern home, it is their advantage.

We can't compare Bayern Munich to Villarreal. We all know how strong and able Munich are. But, Villarreal is not a team to underrate, their performance in the first leg said it all. I have this feeling that Villarreal will probably play the second leg defensively, which will possibly result to them drawing the match. Bayern have to be extra careful, because any slight mistake caused by them in the match, will lead to Villarreal kicking them out of the UCL.
Bayern Munich are miles ahead of Villarreal no doubt. Villarreal are currently struggling in the Spanish La Liga languishing in the sixth position but they have been nothing less than exceptional in the champion's league. I don't think Villarreal will sit back defending in the second leg though if they do I think they will be punished by those Bayern forwards.
2287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: April 11, 2022, 05:45:58 PM
I think, Argentina group is very hard to others group. I think, any two team can be qualify next round. Mexico, Poland and Saudia Arabia very strong team. But Argentina played very well their last many matches.I think they can be qualify for next round. They have some good player and they are top form in. Waiting for what happen exactly. What do you think? Who can qualify group C for next round?

Argentida should pass first in the group, without major difficulties.
Saudi Arabia should be in last place. It can even try to make life difficult for the other teams, but I don't think it will go forward.
Thus, the second place in the group will be disputed by Mexico and Poland. I think Polonia has better arguments to be in second place, but I think Mexico will be playing very well and have a great chance of being able to overtake Poland.
Mexico and Argentina are in the same group for Qatar 2022 makes both of them the two favorites to qualify from the group but that fixture between the two countries will be clearly a revenge match. They seemingly have history together at the world cup. Poland will be hoping Lewandowski will be able to replicate his Bayern Munich form for the national side or else I don't see them getting out of the group.
2288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 10, 2022, 05:09:13 PM
Raheem Sterling has given Manchester City a lead. I think I was wrong to criticize him today. Great goal from Sterling, Manchester City has come on top once again. This fixture is a game of goals, I don't think this is the last goal in this fixture.

There is no goal, it was clear offside. The match can go both ways, I'm sure we will see at least one more goal. Both teams are not okay with draw and want to win.
Maybe it's time for Mahrez. Both teams didn't make any substitutions yet. And just right here Klopp made his move. Jota out, Diaz in. Let's see how Pep will react to that. City may be ok with draw in last minutes because they are already leading the league.
I didn't see that coming, VAR cancelled the goal. It wasn't a clear offside,  the pass was intended for Sterling and he wasn't offside.
The only best scenerio for Liverpool is a win. They need a win to be on the top of the table, they have more difficult games to play. It's interesting Liverpool are giving us a title fight. Manchester City can live with a draw. Pep should have replaced Raheem sterling sooner, he has been guilty of most chances missed. Both coaches know there is still more goals in the game
2289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 10, 2022, 04:54:21 PM
As previously predicted, the duel of two Premier League title contenders Manchester City and Liverpool will be fierce. Both teams want to come out victorious in this match in order to dominate the standings while increasing the chances of lifting the Premier League trophy.
The second half had just begun, the Manchester City players were immediately surprised by a quick goal from Sadio Mane and put Liverpool out of pressure. after successfully equalizing 2-2, Liverpool players look very aggressive, so far Liverpool are still pressing Manchester City with several opportunities.

Raheem Sterling has given Manchester City a lead. I think I was wrong to criticize him today. Great goal from Sterling, Manchester City has come on top once again. This fixture is a game of goals, I don't think this is the last goal in this fixture. Both teams are giving it all they got, this game will decide who will be the champions of the premier league. Though I expect Manchester city to win, Liverpool isn't making it easy for them.
2290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 10, 2022, 04:42:53 PM
Both teams are up against each other this is proper head to head stuff. Liverpool is looking like the most comfortable team in the second half. They are finding more chances as they put more pressure on Manchester City. D. Jota should have scored that goal. He should have done more better, a little more power on that shot and that would have been the third goal for Liverpool. Manchester City is trying to up their pressing game

2291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 10, 2022, 04:37:21 PM
The more goals Manchester City scores the more frustrated Liverpool will be. I'm not confident with where Gabriel Jesus is playing, he's not very prolific. He has scored a goal but that's not enough. Raheem sterling is having a bad day, Pep Guardiola should substitute him and bring someone in who has his head in the game. Liverpool just scored, Mo Salah with a great assist. It's 2-2 and it's game on. Liverpool is putting pressure on City
2292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 10, 2022, 04:22:43 PM
Manchester City has won the first half, momentum is on their side. Raheem sterling hasn't been his best today, he hasn't been as good as other City players today if not he would have made the most of the chances. Liverpool is having a tough game, they have a lot of work to do in this fixture. The coach has much work to do talking them back into the game. The players look disappointed, the distrust is showing on their faces.
2293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 08, 2022, 10:47:41 AM
I think Chelsea team collectively were poor against Real Madrid. Mendy was a major culprit if you ask me. After he conceded the second goal, it's expected he would do his best not to concede another. Look at how easily Karim Benzema found the back of the net three times in a row. Romelu Lukaku had a chance to score and he missed the opportunity, he couldn't even control the ball. He is not a prolific player in Chelsea.
2294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: World Cup qualifiers.. on: April 08, 2022, 10:21:56 AM
What he would have played immediately second half began is Osimen, Ighalo and Sadiq. There was no how we wouldn't have gotten another goal.

Austin Eguavoen thinks coaching is jumping up and down and shouting instructions to players on the pitch. He does not understand that technical drawing is part of it. Maybe he sees foreign coaches when they draw on papers and think they are only drawing players for Fine and applied Art class and that they are wasting their time. All members of that bench should be sacked. I discovered he was not capable to handle the Eagles when we lost to handicapped Tunisia at the AFCON.

Coaches like Austin Eguavoen make me want to hate local coaches, that guys doesn't know what he's doing. The last time Nigerian went out of the AFCON shamefully was when he was in charge same as not qualifying for the world cup finals. I strongly want local coaches as I believe they're our best bet in getting the best out of the players since they'll understand them better instead of foreign coaches but we should actually give opportunity to coaches with great tactic and not merely based on high ranking.

We don't necessarily need a local coach. The fact that you're from a country doesn't mean you understand the type of Football of the nation than someone else from outside. Coaches should be irrespective of nationality, we should pick a good coach who can improve our game in a progressive direction.

The ROI is ridiculous, that's all the red flag you need to hit the block button. In my experience, eight out of ten newbies fall prey to the scam first before asking the right questions. It's hard to resist quick, easy money. I hope OP has not given the scammers any money. If you already sent the $100, take a deep breath and move on.

I feel pity for Benfica, all those hard work against Ajax only to come and face Liverpool, I would have preferred Ajax against Liverpool than Benfica. I have always said that this konate reminds me of sakho, he's too rash, always moving into areas he isn't supposed to be and always hugging attackers, he's still young though and I believe that klopp will do wonders in him, he almost cost Liverpool to draw

Which opponent would have been much easier than Liverpool in the quarterfinals? The only one I can think would have been Villareal, but even the club has become difficult to play. In my opinion, Benfica is the weakest of all quarterfinalists, so it's a great success to have made it this far at all, especially to win against a team like Ajax a round before.
I think everyone expected Liverpool to beat Benfica mercilessly and they didn't disappoint. In fact, Liverpool should have beaten Benfica by more goals last night. Honestly, I think Benfica getting to the quarter finals is already a big feat. Literally, that’s the top 8 of the competition. Deep down I think they will be pleased with themselves because amongst the team at this stage of the competition they are literally the smallest in teams of financial capability. Manchester City were just a little better than Atletico, thanks to the brilliance of Foden and De Buryne.

You can never say never when it's comes to football. Rumour has it Sunday Oliseh wants to come back to manage the super eagles. I think he is good coach and a better player in his time but tbh he's not been coaching since 2018. Oliseh is not the best choice for the national team if you ask me. I think whoever should be given the coaching job should be based on credibility not sentiment. One if the reasons why the super eagles suck is because the management do not know football. Amaju Pinnick is just simply a politician, he doesn't have love for the game of football.

I was quite surprised by Arsenal's defeat, because yesterday I predicted that Arsenal would win this match to take 4th place in the standings. Indeed, Arsenal's chances are still there to reach 4th position, due to the difference in the matches they have, but if in the next match Arsenal also fail to win, they will be more difficult to take 4th position.

Arsenal's defeat against Crystal Palace caused the competition for the fourth place in the standings to be increasingly fierce, although Arsenal still had one game left but the pressure was starting to be felt by the London cannon.  Tottenham are very ambitious to appear again in the champions league continue to play well every week, Antonio Conte's troops will fight it out until the end.  In addition, Chelsea, who lost heavily at home, also greatly benefited from Arsenal's defeat, because if Arsenal won, Chelsea's position in third place was also threatened.

I think defeat will come once in a while. Arsenal has been in form  in the premier league for some time now, you cannot win every single game. I think Mikel Areteta and Arsenal have to get up and see how they perform well subsequently. They have top teams to play. About 8 games remaining before the end of the season, they still have Manchester United, Chelsea, Spurs to play, the match up is not looking good for Arsenal currently.

A hard win for city against atleteco with just one goal but it still enough for guardiola squad in my opinion, i don't think atleteco will cause so much problems for city in the second matche and they will score at least 1 goal because atleteco will not play defensively and tgey will try to score which will make the match more open and city players will find many spaces
In six years, Pep Guardiola has spent over a  billion pounds building the perfect team for Manchester City. It will be a disappointment if Manchester City fails to win the Champions league. He has quality players and all the resources at his disposal. Winning the premier league is not enough, Manchester City need to win the champions league.
2300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 05, 2022, 02:28:38 PM
Real Madrid are going to need five more wins and a draw in the worst case to be able to announce their championship in the La Liga. Because if Barcelona win their missing game, they will need this. Barcelona would fight for the championship as long as they have the chance for it mathematically. They have been on a very impressive run for too many weeks and this raises their self-confidence a lot for certain. I still don't think that Real Madrid will lose their championship chance though but it is still possible indeed.
I am quite optimistic that Real Madrid can win the La Liga trophy this season, Real Madrid will not let Barcelona take their place. Even after
Real Madrid was defeated by Barcelona, Real Madrid immediately got up and won against Celta. Real Madrid are an experienced team,
so they know how to win the competition with Barcelona in La Liga. I doubt Barcelona can win all the remaining games anyway, at least Barcelona
there is also the possibility of dropping points in some games. Moreover, Barcelona still have to play in the Europa League, this cannot make Barcelona
fully focus on La Liga. So most likely this season the La Liga trophy belongs to Real Madrid, but since it is theoretically possible for Barcelona
to catch up with Real Madrid's points, then we have to see until the end of the season to confirm the winner of the La Liga trophy.

I don't expect Barcelona to win the La Liga title because honestly the points difference is too big and I don't expect Barcelona to overcome that.

But, Barcelona will surely get closer to Real Madrid in terms of points. I think the main target of Barcelona right now is the Europa League Trophy and holding onto the position that they have in La Liga right now. And I don't expect Barcelona to go for the La Liga title because in that way they might also lose the Europa League Trophy too.

So, it's better for Barcelona to concentrate on the Europa League Trophy rather than chasing something which doesn't seem to be reachable at all. and I also do not expect Real Madrid to lose at such a point where Barcelona might have a chance to surpass them.
The mere thought of winning the La Liga title while you are 12 points behind the league leader at this point of the season with less than 10 games left can be termed as having false hope. No way is Barcelona ever going to win the league this season and if for any reason it miraculously happened, I am sure Ancelotti will not just be sacked but also banned from visiting Real Madrid in the future.
