Lets see who has the last laughs shall we?
2282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin movie, starring... Friedcat on: August 15, 2013, 03:56:56 PM
I'd grant the main roles to Max Kaiser & Bruce Wagner, as themselves.
2283  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TradeFortress VERY untrustworthy, owes me 10.15 BTC, possibly others. on: August 15, 2013, 03:35:10 PM
TFs scheme only worked because noobs were stupid enough to think they can "sell" trust.

This very board tells 'noobs' that TradeFortress is someone who can be trusted not to rip them off, because the default trust settings assigned to every new user give him something like a +17 trust rating.
So the lesson to 'noobs' is not to trust the trust system.

This was before the trust rating on the forum though.

I'd say the lesson is don't trust the default trust list. Dumbfruit is a TF sockpuppet btw, I recognize his style.

No they said don't trust people in the system you don't trust in reality.

TFs scheme only worked because noobs were stupid enough to think they can "sell" trust.

2. Are there any examples of ''troll messages''?

Anything which isn't in line with the bitcoin gospel is considered trolling. Gladly that isn't theymos's definition or I would not longer be here. Wink

Paying "back" implies he did take money in the first place, which he didn't.
2287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FBI is after bitcoin? Good! on: August 15, 2013, 12:47:47 PM
The comments in this thread kind of remind me of this

2288  Economy / Speculation / Re: Suggestion: price BTC in USD, not IOUs. on: August 15, 2013, 10:53:00 AM
Lets face it, this is all (still) the Dwolla Account Seizure which was underrated in terms of magnitude.

Gox depends on those funds and without them there simply isn't enough cash in their other accounts to pay people out.
2289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin.org a little scammy in... on: August 14, 2013, 09:35:26 PM
Doesn't surprise me.

What have we become when you can't even spam in your own thread.  Undecided
2291  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why MP is your God. on: August 14, 2013, 09:16:55 PM
Reminds me of Brave New World, fetuses exposed to alcohol is a central topic of the book.
2292  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have the ads a little less annoying? on: August 14, 2013, 08:13:12 PM
How did you opt out? Anyway, they are not that annoying. I have seen much worse.

You have to be Donator, VIP or Hero Member to do it. So you'd have to be around some time longer and you'll get the option.
Yeah there are worse things, and I am thankful I don't "have" to see them, but I would still be interested in what they have to offer if they weren't in my face constantly.

theymos once you give this attention, if moving the ads to the bottom at the page for everybody isn't what you like how about an option for the user to move them where we want them to be?

I managed to opt out when I was a hero member, and now that I got demoted, I still don't see ads! Hooray!

grats!

Has MP himself seen this reputation ruining thread started by his PR employee?

This thread made it to the Bitcoin media http://www.thebitcoinchannel.com/archives/20634 He must have seen it.

Do you get payed extra to post this thread?

Only if the indescript mucus filling all the crevices of the web (aka redditards) gets butthurt enough.

LOL

2295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peak Watch on: August 14, 2013, 07:35:49 PM
proudhon isn't chodpaba.

Anyway can we call this 'done' since we have bounced off 115 two times now?
2296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: August 14, 2013, 02:58:45 PM
You mean when i see someone who is so full of it, it reminds me of those 2 clowns?

From your perspective.
It looks like you miss them so much you are seeing them in other people.
2297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: August 14, 2013, 02:53:15 PM
OK, no panic sale yet. I must confess I have a craving for panic sales.
But what are those suckers trying to do, push the price towards 114 again?
The correct price right now is 110 - 111, so they have no chance, just losing money.
Once the ask sum rises, the down trend will resume IMO.

You are the new Rampion, aren't you?
My god...
When i thought it couldn't get worse.
Actually you are like a combination of Rampion and Blitz.

You are having a pavlovian reaction.
2298  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: August 14, 2013, 01:40:00 PM
The news didn't change fundamentals and the market made that clear by burning most of the idiots who sold off.

This idiot actually profited from this.
2299  Economy / Speculation / Re: A rally is inevitable on: August 14, 2013, 01:38:05 PM
Yes, in order to protect the income of my ASICs, I will step into exchanges and purchase a lot of bitcoins Cheesy

I do actually believe you.

yes, a miner is more likely to buy coins and spend them.  And more likely to encourage others to do so.

Sunk costs.

enforcing proper procedures.

Good luck with deciding what's proper for everyone else.

They have done so for longer than you are around, and I expect them to do it as long as people live in urbanized environments. The only thing to effectively fight bureaucracy is self-sufficiency.
