YaCoin successfully removed from my computer  Smiley

You've made similar posts about how you're either going to stop mining or have stopped or are removing it from your computer. nobody cares. stop posting.

Did anyone find a block the last hour ?

Just found 1. getting 1 every 3 hours
2303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 08, 2013, 09:56:11 PM
Up until an hour ago I was getting a lot of orphans. Now I get nothing. I miss my orphans  Grin

Still getting blocks here... looks like 7-12 per hour and a half or so on these Xeons?

Seems like a lot! I don't have a good connections (socks proxy) but that shouldn't stop me from getting orphans. What hash does QT report for your servers? Are you talking about one or mulitple? (7-12 per hour)

Using yacoind I compiled myself on ubuntu linux. No proxy.

7-12 blocks per hour on each server. I have a few running it.

The QT client really sucks balls. I don't get jack on it running on this i7. yacoind under linux is the way to go.

Also, the fact your running the fastest consumer CPU's on the planet, doesn't hurt either... Grin

I got 1 accepted but orphaned and 5 rejects.Too much to work and Im sleepy.I think Ill call it for the night.Maybe someone will figure it out till tomorrow

later edit 7 rejects already

This isn't a bright start for the future of YAC GPU mining.

Trying to use CGMiner??

Mining on cgminer (no block yet):

PS> Ty Taco for  suggestions.

BTW, if you're getting HW errors it probably means that the hashes aren't being confirmed by the CPU.  Double check that you implemented the code in scrypt.c correctly and that you are using a high enough thread concurrency (set your network target to something like diff 4 then try to submit there, they will all come up as rejected by the network but you can verify you wrote the code correctly if they are).

Pretty sure he's trying to use a GPU....Not many cpu's can hash like that

cj miner gave me 0 on every block. Update if you get accepts please.

Did you completely skip the op?

how can we tell what our hashrate is?

I feel like this has been asked before...

Even with the port forwarded on my router I can't seem to connect to more than 8 peers.

Oh and a shout out to those that send donated to me. Thanks!

May be a silly question, but is your Windows Firewall turned on?
2309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 08, 2013, 08:16:35 PM
People, if you are stuck at 8 connections, it's because you need to open the port on your router. This has been said, many, many times. If you look, someone even made a step by step tutorial, on how to do it. Knowledge is power...

Finally, after 3 hrs, I got another block
2311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 08, 2013, 07:41:11 PM
Just got another block, but it was only 49.57 YAC instead of 54.25 YAC this time. I guess the reward is going down?

Yes, that's the idea of this coin. Reward started at 100 I think.

Then it hits some sort of N++ event, at which point, difficulty will decrease, and block value will increase, if I understand correctly

So it's been 10 minutes that I have 7 transactions (main screen), 4 show up in the transactions tab. Anybody know what this means?  Huh
type listtransactions into the console

Mining with my 2600K and something like 10PC with an Core2Duo. Nothing in 1H  Angry

Well, those dual core procs barely count, just a waste of electicity lol

Did I tell that I was paying for electicity with them? Wink

I just mean, those 10 dual core procs are not combining with eachother, like in a mining pool, really, you just have 10, slow PC's, competeing against eachother, and the faster PC's out there....Atleast I think that's how it works....All 10 aren't combining their hashing power, are they?

You are right, but in something like 1 hours, I should have get something with one of them.

I'm running a phenom X6 1090T, overclocked to 4.2GHZ, watercooled, and my last block was over 2 hours ago.
2314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 08, 2013, 07:14:04 PM
Is there any sort of explorer for this to see who's hogging all the blocks? I was getting a few and now nothing for two hours.

me too
Is there a yacoin pool now?

I think the big problem with making a pool, is none of the current software is compatible...

I think we've hit a difficulty wall, gentlemen. Now it belongs to the rack-mounted servers. Was fun. without a pool, I don't see this coin going anywhere...

So, instead of getting raped by GPU farms, we are now getting raped by multi-CPU server farms Huh
2318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 08, 2013, 07:00:59 PM
When is this thing going to retarget it's diff?

Current diff is 0.01428140
2319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 08, 2013, 06:21:06 PM
you guys see any chance for yacoin to be accepted on bter, btc-e, etc in the near future? Cheesy
I first of all think this coin wil die if everyone keeps getting orphans all the time -__-
And if it goes to an exchange, it will dump 3/4 of value and then diff will be to high for most and then hop to other coin = YAC DEAD.

Coin will die, if we don't get some pools soon. Diff is getting up there
2320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 08, 2013, 06:09:42 PM
This coin appears to be a scam to me.  Been mining for hours on a decent CPU and nothing but Orphans

I would be willing to bet there is a GPU port and guys running it have most of the coins

I'd be willing to bet, you haven't read the entire thread, wherein lies the fix for your issue.
