Just a short question for you guys: Is there any working Mintcoin faucet? The only working one I found (CyanRainbow) is empty unfortunately. Thanks!

Looks like the CyanRainbow got refilled. If somebody wants to contact the coinok.pw faucet on twitter to reactivate then I can give it some funds (I don't have a twitter)

Yeah but it has crazy aggresive popup ads and shit every time you click. It's pretty intense.

Yeah - It wasn't that bad in the beginning, but holy crap! I had to close my damn browser (forcefully, through task manager - KILL!) to get rid of one of the pages it loaded!

OMG!!! Your computer is infected!!! Call Tech Support Now!!!

Really a turn-off for newbies  - Hell, a turn-off for me - probably won't be using it anymore.

Just use 'Adblock Plus' plugin on Firefox or Chrome and say goodbye to ads.

Some kind of an explorer would be pretty awesome. The guy that said Indiana Jones pretty much nailed it lol.

Yeh, I would love that too. Note that there is too much risk involved if you're adventurous type.
2306  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: May 07, 2014, 06:58:15 AM
bruce willis IRL is such a god damn prick. seems like his only concern in making films is $. doesn't care about anything else.

He seems to have run out of money in the recent 2-3 years, because he is making film after film nowadays.  Most of them are bad.  5 out of 10s at best.

Lol. I highly doubt he ran out of money, considering both that he is an A-list actor, and has done a lot of movies. I'm sure the real reason is because he is primarily an action actor, and as you get older you can do less and less action movies. So he is trying to do more films before he gets old.

Depends what he spends/or spent his money on. Many movie stars go crazy buying houses and cars all over the world then have a dry spell and realise they can't keep up the repayments or mortgages on them. Banks just throw money at you when you're famous, but I doubt or haven't heard of Bruce Willis being in money trouble.

Yep. Never heard of Bruce Willis.

But I heard a few such reports for Nicholas Cage. I guess that's why he is going on the movie-spree without being choosy for good scripts.

The OP is reading and posting in 'Hilarious China ban Bitcoin comic' thread.

I am glad he did not die from that coconut. Or maybe he is reading comics from his hospital bed.
2309  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: any. thoughts on bit solo mining pool on: May 07, 2014, 03:54:57 AM
I went through bitsolo.net FAQ. They say they have found ZERO Bitcoin blocks until now.
They're merge-mining Namecoin and have found ONE Namecoin block.

I want to see some comedy. Any advise?

Do you like comedy or humor?

Do you like Jim-Carrey-type comedy? Then I would suggest 'Dumb & Dumber'
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109686/

If you like humor, I would suggest 'The Gods Must Be Crazy' and its sequel

The only way to stop this clone-coin nonsense is if everyone would just stop mining new crap coins.

2313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (not a bitcoin fork) How-To on: May 06, 2014, 11:43:54 AM
OK, I successfully synchronized my blockchain and wallet for the first time and my wallet already has 4 incoming transactions, totalling 13102 BCN.

Is this normal?

I had asked for a few BCN in the giveaway thread, but I'm not sure if all transactions are from the giveaway. I also don't know how to check date/time of a transaction, so can't verify.
I have this also. One big outgoing transaction divided into many smaller incoming parts. Is this perhaps the result of the <mixin_count> option?

So essentially it is one transaction of 13102 BCN divided into many parts for anonymity? That's definitely possible.

You right, this is one  transaction!

Yep. I should have checked the transaction ID. They're all same for the 4 inputs. My bad!

And thanks for the donation Smiley

'Call to arms' (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563356) sent 5,000,000 BCN and 0.3 BTC from our funds to creating an open source pool - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=589533!

This was truly and highly needed! Cheers to everyone involved!

My brother was mining on my laptop bitcoin. I have a nividia 660M geforce gtx grapics card. He solo mined for 1 day and found a block. If I am correct a block is 25 bitcoin, and the market value of bitcoin is about 450.

So did my Brother hit the lottery in bitcoin  Shocked?

I would rather believe in the possibility of aliens kidnapping our cows and have sex with them to produce future generations of alien cows with 6 ears and 3 legs.
2318  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst Movies You Have Ever Watched on: May 06, 2014, 09:19:44 AM
Almost any/everything with Nicholas Cage  Undecided

I would agree, except the 'National Treasure' movies Smiley

Upgraded from wallet 1.4 to 1.9.1 and everything works fine. I previously tried using 1.8 but it threw some errors at me, so I kept on using 1.4

But with 1.9.1, everything seems to work fine and the wallet is generating POS coins.
2320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DESI] DesiCoin - Crypto India | New Exchange | Vote on Mintpal on: May 05, 2014, 08:39:59 PM
Worthwhile to note that this coin has more than 725 votes on swisscex, putting it around 10th place on the voting list. If the hash rate grows and the vote number continues to (I vote 3 times per hour when I am awake and don't forget about it) we might just help desicoin's cause out. Just wish the developer would speak about his plan of action.

When people are curious to get a new coin on an exchange to trade it for BTC, they are willingly/unwillingly stating the fact that the coin is a pump & dump.

If you were truly supportive of the coin, you would be more curious about the unique features a coin offers (which this coin has NONE) rather than getting it on an exchange to dump it.
