2301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch introduces restrictions on gambling-related links - deadline 17 Aug on: August 13, 2021, 06:11:05 AM
The rate of scam gambling sites keep increasing as the day goes by and I might not blame them much for their decisions. But prohibiting shared links or referral codes to sites that offer slots , roulette, or dice games will not cause any impact on crypto casinos because streamers has till 17th of August and certainly a new option will however emerge. It's a digital society and I see this as room for other hidden streaming sites to Emerge.
2302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best wallet for Crypto Sportbooks deposits/withdrawals? on: August 13, 2021, 05:47:08 AM
A non-custodial wallet will do just fine but haven't heard of Binance suspending account due to gambling activities. But if you feel insecure using exchanges then you go for a non-custodial wallet instead then save your self the stress of cross-checking your custodial wallet at regular interval due to fear of it been suspended. Take full charge of your coin and how you move them across gambling sites.
2303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 13, 2021, 05:35:46 AM
Since there is no odd for the game then it's going to be an oral prediction. Both had outstanding records and unique fighting skills. None is going to be the underdog and from my review on that statistics I see this game as a draw.casimero winning 30 games and losing 4, while Rigondeaux with 20 wins and 1 loss. Predicting the outcome from games like this isn't really an easy task. For me it's a draw.
2304  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin losing its purpose? on: August 12, 2021, 10:40:30 PM

I think many retail investors in the US are Robinhooder types that have a "Bitcoin go up - me buy!" mentality. They don't realize what the loss of utility from anonymous P2P transactions will mean for Bitcoin.

If Bitcoin is KYC, DeFi coins have no hope of replacing the traditional banking system and CBDCs are everywhere, why use Bitcoin at all? Governments will likely ban it in the future anyway. China and the US infrastructure bill have already set a precedent for banning mining and development in those countries.

KYC is done by exchanges since the operate based on certain rules governing their existence and would not want any factor to hinder their operations knowing fully well if the violate government orders on KYC verifications it might cost them their license to operate. This doesn't stop Bitcoin from maintaining it's anonymous nature. CDDCs even with their increasing nature can't cause a treat on Bitcoin it's the blueprint upon which other digital currency exist.
2305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions should never be traded. on: August 12, 2021, 10:25:55 PM
[quote author=Bitcoin9920 link=topic=5353935.msg57670356#msg5767035However, the market drops after you make your investment. When the market falls, you believe you are losing money and sell everything. When you watch the stock market rise, you invest. You will continue to be harmed in this manner. As a result, anytime you need to invest, put a tiny percentage of your portfolio into it. As a result, even if the market falls, you will still have your portfolio. Never trade based on your emotions. Calculate carefully before investing.
[/quote]
This is one of the best trading advice @op. Always hold if possible buy the dip the more and keep holding. for newbies its really not easy dealing with emotions it's always a gradual process which will certainly be overcomes over time. Crypto investment is not a kind of venture a newbie should take-up alone. The market structure keeps updating and as a newbie to the system you will encounter strange moves from various coins and tokens getting a mentor for me is preferred.
2306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody to help me? on: August 12, 2021, 10:15:22 PM
In our today society trust remains the underlying element that stands as a bridge to any long lasting transaction. I feel the normal trader who struggles to make profit should keep trying with the amount he can afford to lose. Even the pro-trader was once a normal trader it was his persistence that developed him into becoming a pro likewise the Norma trader all I will suggest is the normal trader gets a mentor instead who will guide him/her over a period of time until he feels confident enough to operate independently
2307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Super Cup 2021 on: August 12, 2021, 10:07:14 PM
Chelsea opening this season with UEFA Super Cup 2021 trophy and waiting what they can do for domestic league and champion league, can they keep on trophy and become the winner again in champion league twice like Real Madrid or not. Real Madrid the only one club success got champion league trophy and UEFA Super Cup third time and not any club can defeat it, we see how strong Chelsea keep touch in good performance in champion league.
Everything boils down to their performance. Judging based on the supercup trophy I will say they are a bit prepared for the session although a little more work has to be done based on the line-ups and substitutes. I was expecting a more professional game from Villarreal but all I got was a team who only managed to keep the game going. After the equalizing goal I was expecting more goals but it was too obvious Villarreal wasn't prepared for the trophy at all
2308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on the Paralympic Games? Ethical or not? on: August 12, 2021, 10:00:18 PM
So what do you guys and gals think..... ?
It's a man who wears a shoe that knows where it actually pinches him. If you spoke to some disabled athletes and from you responds the gave their consent then it's no longer an issue. Personally I will not feel comfortable placing a bet on their games because I wouldn't feel satisfied with it but if it's endosered by the athletes then I will go ahead knowing full well it wouldn't look in any way unlawful
2309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The intrinsic value debate. on: August 12, 2021, 09:51:54 PM
Classifying good as an commodity with intrinsic value because it has a legal backing and claiming Bitcoin isn't intrinsic sounds a bit baise.
Wikipedia
Quote
Intrinsic value is always something that an object has "in itself" or "for its own sake", and is an intrinsic property.
It's a clear indication that Bitcoin has value in it's self regardless of the fact it's been projected by it's investors. It's clear it has no legal backup but since the masses which make up a democratic government prefers it as a means of storing value then it automatically has intrinsic value.

The law of demand and supply is what makes a commodity intrinsic. Bitcoin lately has been on a high demand and it's making new highs increasing constantly in value. From what I see we are gradually coming into an era where the government no longer monitor the asset of it's citizens through regularised authorities since every one is gaining autonomy of his personal funds
2310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bit Civilization? on: August 12, 2021, 09:31:27 PM
Bit civilization in a nutshell is the adaption of the human race to the new era of digital advancement and technological era. It's really amazing how the human race got adapted so quick regardless of it's decentralized nature alongside the treats hovering around the crypto industry. The very first decentralized scheme that ever emerged before the Bitcoin got viral was Ponzi scheme which rendered a whole lot cashless a lot of persons likened this innovation to Ponzi scheme and as such feared to invest in it. Over the years bitcoin has actually proven to be a currency and with lots many investors
2311  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bots on: August 09, 2021, 07:01:07 PM
I can't advice anyone to trade using bots I'm not saying it doesn't profit in most cases but it's more like betting your money on a live casino which is in other words gambling. I prefer you learn, fund your account blow it up, get the experience then build on your strategy with that you are safer
2312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do poker and sports betting skills correlate? on: August 09, 2021, 06:54:04 PM
There are no correlations having the same set of users who won top 3 in sportsbooks.io participate in bitcointalk poker series, this might just be a coincidence having in mind both happen to be a game of luck even if a little physiological approach might be required for poker games and for sports an overall analysis on the players previous performances and even with all this analysis there is still no guarantee what so ever. It's just a coincidence
2313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain casino Vs Traditional casino on: August 09, 2021, 06:41:16 PM
The both operate almost alike I think the only difference is the availability of newer games just like dice, plinko and crash and with this some traditional casino still have them listed even though in a local setup but it's pretty much the same. Then the transperancy in blockchain casino should be another attractive side that would give it edge over traditional casinos.
2314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 09, 2021, 06:33:25 PM
My biggest fear is the guarantee of refunds of investment if prices drops or goes higher that is to say what ever goes on in the process lies strictly on my own risk. Looking at the second game crypto blades where there is no assurance of refunds then I will bluntly say it's not worth investing in.
2315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Effects of Greed in Gambling on: August 09, 2021, 06:24:20 PM
We have really discussed greed a couple of times on this very board and I know it's one topic that can't just be overemphasized because as gamblers we need to be reminded constantly about what greed does to high-profit seekers and how it enslaves the minds of people who forsake the fun of it and seek for passive income leading them slowly into addiction. I think this is just like a constant reminder

2317  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: August 08, 2021, 04:46:32 PM
The pandemic didn't introduce any new concept as such most of the ICT innovations that we feel came up due to the pandemic has always been there just that we were carried away by our normal day routine feeling so comfortable in the old way of solving problem neglecting the ICT sector. To me I will say the pandemic only enlightened people on the opportunities we have in the cuber world.
2318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will physical casinos accept crypto someday? on: August 08, 2021, 04:38:06 PM
I think someday they will but Bitcoin is just risky and volatile to be exact for physical casinos to completely latch into. Physical casinos are playing it smart not to depend only on crypto.
For physical casinos to accept crypto automatically means they have to create an exchange which might either be in paper format or digital but certainly an exchange has to be created for both fiat and crypto exchanges. I don't think it will really be convenient for physical casinos to accept crypto except it becomes legally approved by entire world as some nation's will likely sieze licences of operators who decide to accept crypto against the regulations of the state.
2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Weekly/monthly financial statements, which do you prefer? on: August 08, 2021, 04:08:43 PM
because i'm used to management then monthly financial statements sound more professional....for someone like me who rarely gambles then the monthly report is much better.  besides that i can also sort it out with my other expenses, so i can easily monitor that.
It's really not so easy as it sounds except you are highly deciplined. Early last month I made an estimated budget of how much I will stake for the month and to my greatest surprise I didn't know when I went back to my savings to gamble more although the amount I took wasn't much but going against my budget is really my emphasis
2320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake Turned 4 on: August 08, 2021, 04:00:17 PM
Happy anniversary to stake.com it's been a long time in business with lots of achievements. I haven't had experience using your services for gambling meaning I don't have any experience on how your customer care service functions but I think I will have to give it a try because I love to explore and also is an avenue to join the company in it's celebration. Congratulations once again
