1661  Economy / Economics / Let's assume David chaum took the $180 million in 1999 on: February 01, 2022, 05:14:42 PM
David chaum the founder of the first crypto currency (Digicash) that stirred up lots of reactions way back 1999. After been offered $180 million on his inventory by Microsoft who had plans on installing it on every computer which he turned down even when he didn't have much funds to sponsor the project and didn't even know how to sell his digital currency to the world and when he went bankrupt the idea died. Let's assume Chaum sold his project to Microsoft would it have had similar impact Bitcoin has on the society today. Will the market capitalization be as high as Bitcoin or would it still have failed?. If it had made much progress would Bitcoin have taken the place of been addressed as an altcoin?
1662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who’s who in the gambling subforum? on: January 31, 2022, 08:20:48 PM
When it comes to gambling subforum there are a few users I love to get some points from because most times I use them in my bet prediction and most of the times I am lucky. Because gambling remains what it is there is no 100% guarantee so it doesn't come out profitable at all times but in few cases I get lucky with it. CLS63 is one of them
1663  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Continuously Loosing money in Trading!!!! on: January 31, 2022, 08:06:08 PM
Hello everyone,

I am doing Trading since last 3 to 4 years And in this journey i have seen many updowns(profit and losses), But recently from few weeks i am loosing  my money continuously with the same strategy  i have been using since last 2 years. I don't know what happened to me. So please anyone can guide me through this situation, it will be very helpful for me.

Thank you.
Many things might be responsible for your present losses and one of it could be over familiarity with your strategy. It could be you have understood your strategy to the point where you no longer need a second confirmation to take a trading decision and this could be deceptive atimes. It could also be yiu no longer spend good time on your analysis any more . The problem might not be from the analysis it could be from the analyer because the market behavior never chances it's the emotions of the trader that makes them feel their analysis is outdated
1664  Economy / Economics / Re: IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender on: January 31, 2022, 07:58:17 PM
Which ever way IMF are trying to secure both their interest and that of El Salvador. I just feel IMF are scared of losing out funds to crypto if the eventually lend El Salvador some loans in the future. Bitcoin as a legal tender will cause a strong deflation in price if Bitcoin falls further and would cause massive inflation if it takes the bull run. Crypto is too risky to rely ones economy on. If it must remain a legal tender then it shouldn't also serve as resource for national funds
1665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investment against inflation on: January 31, 2022, 07:46:57 PM
This is a nice motivation but for the restaurant to have survived on Bitcoin it meant the was patience in holding even when Bitcoin fell massively during the outbreak of the pandemic the patience to hold was there and since  the don't transact with crypto yet the found a way to invest their fiat into Bitcoin saving up for the inflation day which finally came and Bitcoin did the salvage. If I was to title this i will simply call it Bitcoin also saves

A woman who jumped to her death from a New York City high rise apartment building has been identified as former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst.

The 2019 pageant winner who had a ninth floor apartment in Manhattan’s 60-storey Orion Building was found dead in the street below on Sunday morning.

The 30-year-old was last seen on a terrace win the building’s 29th floor shortly after 7am, sources told The New York Post.

broken,” the company said in a statement.

“Cheslie was not just a vital part of our show. She was a beloved part of our Extra family and touched the entire staff. Our deepest condolences to all her family and friends.”

Just hours before her death, Kryst wrote on Instagram, “May this day bring you rest and peace.”

Investigators have not said why they believed she took her own life, according to the Post.
I just believe money and fame isn't just enough in our present society even the rich also cry. It would be nicer if we don't just sit back and assume people are doing fine because we feel they have the money to buy what ever they need I wish someone was able to talk her out of this. I can't still wrap my head around why this Pretty damsel will have to end her own life this way. [Rest in peace Former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst. It's too hard to say  I wish this wasn't true Cry Cry

I strongly buy into 4. And 8. 4 which states the best indicator that could be most reliable. Buying at support and selling at resistance is just a secure way to make good profit trading like wise 8 which advices on chasing missed trade it could be too dangerous and could also be a big market trap. Just the same way joining a moving train could cause damages so is the case trying to chase a trade. If you miss it let it go
1668  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be wiser than the market on: January 30, 2022, 07:04:06 AM
I sincerely envy people who know how to trade for their own money without leverage... The theme really works here - buy cheaper and sell more expensive.  But I constantly encounter people who buy more expensive and sell cheaper. Why and why ...? And it lasts a very long time until the funds are completely drained. ...Fear and greed rule this market. Only mentally inadequate people are engaged in trading alone. There are no geniuses in this market. The market eats everyone up sooner or later. It is good if relatives and friends with credit funds are not affected. Many people's children are paying for the simple moronism of the players.
To salvage the issue of buying high and selling low is just to hold for investors and have much funds for in your trading account for traders so you can trade with a very low lot size so that no matter how much the market goes against your trading analysis it will come back to offer some profit before it continues in the opposite direction. Account size most times matters alot in trading. With a large account size you can limit the risk by using a very low and reasonable lot size to trade.
1669  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How bitcoin has employed more African youths. on: January 30, 2022, 06:49:42 AM
. These problems made an average African youth to be inferior to his foreign mates. If the youth try to involve in international trade, they will pay high fees.  If they decide to save their money in their country’s weak currency, it will keep depreciating. An average African youth was financially vulnerable until bitcion brought liberty.
I will discuss how African youths earn a living from bitcoin.
Despite the under development and poor infrastructure Africans still have this hidden skills that echos across the world if brought to lime light. One of the limitations Africa face is lack of human empowerment but thanks to David chaum the founder of the first digital currency even though it failed but his innovation brought about the impact we feel today, thanks to Satoshi for Bitcoin we all benefit from today and other crpto currency founders who have made the
Opportunity open to the world and created a way of earning passively.

Quote
FREELANCING
Bitcoin has given Africans with skills the opportunity to earn by creating bitcoin related contents, bitcoin digital marketing, SEO and more.

BITCOIN MINING
Many African youths did not discover or involve in bitcoin mining at the early stage that it was more profitable. The youths are now joining mining pools with whatever hash power they have to make a living out of it.

BITCOIN INVESTMENT
The buy and hodl has enriched many Africans, especially these few years that bitcoin made some successive decent bull run.

BITCOIN TRADING
This is the most popular way Africans make money from bitcoin. Trading has empowered many African youths. But the risky nature of it like trading altcoins, future trades made trading very scary to newbies and they lose money. You need skills to win here.

BITCOIN PAYMENT GATEWAY
Now that many companies are accepting bitcion as payment for online services, Africans that can create payment gateways for companies or help people purchase things on amazon, are meeting ends from bitcoin.

EXCHANGES
The problem of buying bitcoin with fiat or selling bitcion to get fiat is solved in Africa by Africans and they make money from the exchange fees.

BITCOIN LENDING
Lending bitcion to people with some percentage interest is another opportunity that Africans earn from. Traders borrow from lenders, trade with it and make profit and it becomes a win-win situation for the lenders and traders.

BITCOINTALK SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN
Bitcointalk being a bitcoin forum created by Satoshi has given a few Africans the opportunity to earn bitcoin by promoting some companies in the forum.

Bitcoin has brought liberty to Africa.

Translation: Nigerian Local Board (pigin)

Of all available opportunities mining is more tudious and very demanding and due to power instability there would be limitations to Africans having a good mining pool. Other options can be easily achieved with a good knowledge about how they all work

To stay relevant in the crypto currency industry and to embrace it's innovated technology to its fullest studying consistently is just the way around. The concept of crypto is way too broad and it's opportunities are diverse so to make good funds reading should be more of a hubby and a lifestyle as well
1671  Economy / Economics / Re: What If? on: January 29, 2022, 10:11:32 AM
USD is a base currency in most currency pairs and across many nations USD is used to give value to most currencies  internationally and the base for currency conversion so definitely if Russia gets sanctioned again their currency will definitely devaluate should in case countries tries taking side with them to enable do business without USD the suffer similar devaluation because US remains the world power
1672  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade-in between the lines on: January 29, 2022, 10:03:09 AM
Either ways none is easy be it trading bot holding the only difference is trading losses is instantaneous while holding depends on the market direction. If it's bullish you are smiling if it's bearish faces twist. But having a good foundation on analysing the market and been deciplined enough to follow the trend can limit losses in both holding and trading.
1673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biden & BTC on: January 29, 2022, 09:58:23 AM
Personally I don’t see this as that big of an issue. First off I think this all is a bit of conjecture, so we don’t actually know what their plans are yet. Secondly there’s nothing wrong with some regulation and here’s the truth, if there’s no regulation like this then governments will ban cryptocurrency and it’ll be much more difficult to transact.
Regulations or no regulations it makes no difference. If the government chooses to ban crypto currency across the world believe you me decentralized exchange would take up the challah to build up a well secured transaction platform where coins would be transacted with ease and we'll securedly. Technology is actually advancing and there is no problem under the sun humans can't tackle with Blockchain and Artificial intelligence
1674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: True Value of BTC on: January 29, 2022, 09:50:43 AM
First of all Bitcoin doesn't have a global adoption it value relies on the constant supply and demand of this said digital asset meaning if by chance investors decides to dump Bitcoin completely it would result to a 100% useless commodity same thing is applicable to legal tenders if the citizens decides to abandon it, it losses its value completely

1676  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Diversifying Your Portfolio in Crypto on: January 28, 2022, 08:57:39 PM
Investing in Bitcoin with a little fund is like crawling your way to the top. If you must hold Bitcoin, to and make good returns then you should have massive capital to fund your way up. To curb this issues there are projects that has a promising end so its more wiser to do a portfolio diversification. Now different coins are built on different smart chain network so it's good enough to do enough research and make an investment ignoring if the dip along Bitcoin if it dips also remember most of this projects will also upsurge once the price inflates
1677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling In Crypto on: January 28, 2022, 08:50:01 PM
the most striking and most important difference is KYC, because many players do not want to reveal their identities and therefore using crypto is the right solution because it is anonymous.
Crypto casinos continue to grow and become popular because of the many advantages, especially identity security, convenience and also fast and cheap transactions that make people who are familiar with crypto switch to using crypto for betting, and many other advantages over casinos that use fiat.
Not all crypto gambling. It's only in Blockchain gambling platforms that you see a total KYC free gambling sites. I will buy into the fast and convience opportunity created with crypto gambling and to add to it it's more easier funding with larger amount and moving them back to your wallets without having the centralized financial institution interfering in how much moves between your gambling wallets and your non-custodial wallet
1678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 28, 2022, 08:42:20 PM
Zidane shouldn't border no more, with the current Manchester United squad ?
He'll end up being sacked without going half of the season, I think Ralhf Rangnick doing a perfect job at the moment, it's just that we get  hard luck's at winning in the final third.
Getting another midfielder is what I want to see in the remaining days of the transfer window.
They're just too dull to carry out such, a more quality midfielder that attacks and defends very good.
Signing in good midfielders mostly defensive and central midfielders is a good option for Manchester in the next transfer window for now we can possibly cope with Bruno Fernandes and lingard for the attacking role. Then Rangnick is actually doing his best but more is still expected of him because he has such a great squad and I will say one of the best teams he should make do of what he has a good team work is all Manchester need for a good performance
1679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 28, 2022, 08:27:31 PM
When it comes to Haaland and Dortmund, there is a big dilemma for Dortmund right now. They are trying their best to keep Haaland at the team this summer too. There were so many speculations about him in the last transfer window but none of the top clubs made an offer for him. But this time, Dortmund won't be that lucky. They are also aware of the fact that they will most probably lose him to a top club for a very cheap price like €75m thanks to his release clause. The thing I wonder about the most is that whether Dortmund will manage to sign a symbolic contract with Haaland at least for increasing his release clause much more than this.

Haaland has already publicly complained about the pressure from management, hence we can conclude that he is not ready to make concessions and has already decided everything for himself. Borussia Dortmund will lose a good player (in the summer) but in the end they will be well compensated according to the contract. It is clear that you always want to get even more, but in this case they will receive as much as planned and this can be considered a success.
I don't think Dortmund as a team is ready to lose Haaland by the summer I guess this should be the delay in the management decision to place him up for an offer. Either way he has to leave. But it would be difficult for Dortmund once the contract is signed because there is virtually no replacement at the moment. Other than. Dortmund management making a delay it's better the look up to signing up new player to fit in as replacement
1680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 28, 2022, 08:21:42 PM
Sevilla are continuing their determined behaviour in the La Liga for the title. They lost two points the last time but thankfully Real Madrid did the same too. I believe that Sevilla are much better than the last season now. They are completely focused on the La Liga title as it seems but they have a big rival ahead of them which is Real Madrid. The current gap is still four points and Sevilla will have to maintain a winning streak to have a chance for the title. But I still feel like Real Madrid will make it this year.
So far it's obvious the title is been sought for by Sevilla and Real Maldrid but it seems Maldrid is more prepared to lift up the trophy. Real Betis can only make attempts but I'm not too sure of their strength to contend for the title this season. Laliga has lost its competitiveness and it's becoming too boring to an extent. Sevilla needed a win to atleast take advantage of getting more closer to Maldrid but ended up in a draw with celta vigo
