2301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins Threats to Global Financial Stability? on: October 15, 2019, 07:25:10 PM
Stablecoins  Threats to Global Financial Stability?

It is more like opposite. Global instability is huge threat to all stable coins. If currencies hat back stable coins devalue so will value of stable coins devalue. If that currency get worth nothing so will stable coin be worth nothing.
2302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 15, 2019, 06:50:27 PM
SO?  all this shitty price action?  Maybe, just maybe, it might mean that I may have a chance still (some day somehow?) to buy back all of the 1,000 XMR that I actually once HELD, way back in the day when the damn things were fucking FIVE CENTS APIECE??

Y'all do me a solid, will ya?  Favor?  Just let me know WHEN is really the 'ahem' Right.Time 'ahem' to GET BACK IN!  lolz

When was Monero 25 cents?  It was in 2015. When Bitcoin was at bottom of last cycle. Where are we right now?   If you will wait a year there will be no more 25 cent Monero and you will ask same question where I buy $60 Monero.

Uf and we got a countdown until next protocol upgrade Smiley  https://community.xmr.to/xmr-countdown/
2303  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's future prospects on: October 15, 2019, 05:17:36 PM
What is the probability of a bitcoin collapse?

There was, is and will always be a chance for that. But that chance is smaller every day that pass. Ten years ago was huge. Eight years ago a bit smaller. Five years ago was not that huge anymore. Tomorrow and ten years from now will be less then right now.
2304  Economy / Economics / Re: [FLASH NEWS]: Cryptocurrency investment related will soon be ban on India on: October 15, 2019, 04:49:19 PM
Well! That's an old news! I don't know why Economic Times of India decided to post a story on that now, because the matter is currently under the trial of Supreme Court of India! Court hearing is still ongoing and the next hearing date is 25 September 2019. Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and India based crypto exchanges is defending the case against Reserve Bank of India in Supreme Court and nothing has been finalized yet. Stop creating panic!

Does anyone know how this went?  We all know that all courts will be against any banning of any kind of cryptocurrencies.  But it will be up to governments to follow those rulings or ignore them. In countries with more autocratic governments will be more ignorance and cryptocurreinces will get banned until government will change.  I believe India is close to that. More autocratic that many others.
2305  Economy / Economics / Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency? on: October 14, 2019, 08:41:03 PM
What do you think, how many people are ready to sell their goods or services on crypto? Let's say that we have service which help quick and easy to build online store and sell for cryptocurrency. What kind of reasons can motivate people to start a crypto business?

Stores and businesses will sell for crypto only if people will be wiling to buy with crypto. There has to be demand first. Problem is that no matter how simple is to use crypto people avoid using it.

2307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction 2020 – What to Expect? on: October 14, 2019, 07:11:45 PM
Bitcoin Price Prediction 2020 – What to Expect?

We can expect steady growth. Most of the time price will be between $10000 and $20000.  If financial crisis will hit us we will go back under $10000. If not, at end of the year we might go over $20000.
2308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coins should i buy? on: October 14, 2019, 06:39:43 PM
I have some altcoins from early 2017 and some BTC and ETH too. I am thinking about investing some more but don't really know what i should be looking into.

Below is my list of coins.

BTC, ETH, NEO, ADA, LSK, LTC, Stratis, Waves, ARK, SHIFT, Pivx, VTC, GRS, Powr, Tenx

When i bought in early 2017, Statis, Waves, Ark and ADA was popular, how are these coins today?

I am not interested in low market/very new coins.

Thanks!

Buy what you believe will b used 10 years form now and  Bitcoin will not implement. It is simple as that. If coin will not be used will be worth less then today. If Bitcoin will have same feature then Bitcoin will prevail and your coin will have 0.00001% market share.
2309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 14, 2019, 03:06:02 PM
I'm quite sad. Its like everyone abandoned us

Monero won't shine until the governments completely go nuts

I guess this is then very bad news. No going nuts. Monero will just move same as all other top10 coins Sad

She believes that when buying crypto with fiat you need KYC, so Bitcoin cant be used anonymously (unless you mined it or have old stacks) and she believes that everyone have right to privately use cash and Monero.

2310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: October 13, 2019, 08:24:34 PM
Love the ASIC friendliness idea, was against that dumb scheduled algo changes in XMR. Makes critical code patched like an old blanket.

Scheduled protocol upgrades in Monero were to add new anon features and the rest and not to change the mining algo. Algo was changed when was a fork, just because there was a chance to do it. Without so frequent forks that would not happen even once.  The changes of algo was not so drastic to drastically increase chances of bugs.

You guys forgot one thing, there cap is not really true because big amount of coins lost forever before re-listing on bittrex years ago.

Small example https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monero-classic/, the cap of that trash is 2x of AEON. Do you really believe it makes any sense at all?

No one claimed monero classic so its marketcap should be 10+ times smaller. But you are also saying AEON marketcap is smaller? How much?

My question to all is when we will expect first ASICs being build to mine AEON and how much after that will be for sale for everyone to buy?
2311  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat currencies on: October 13, 2019, 07:17:13 PM
And why the euro value is higher then usd but USA dollar is still dominant, do you think that usd will be replaced by euro?

LOL. Euro?  Before USD there was English pound, before English pound there were Netherland whatever they had, before Netherland whatever they had was Spanish whatever they had. Why you think this currencies were world reserve currencies? This is quite simple history question.

When USD will lose role of world reserve currency CNY will take it. When CNY lose world reserve currency status Indian whatever they have will take it.  Maybe just maybe Bitcoin will jump in not sure when.
2312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 13, 2019, 06:15:07 PM
Found this chart on reddit that suggest that the 2015 is already past. Jolly 2016 ahead.

I'm, not good at interpreting charts, can you explain this too me?

Wow, there is a lot going on here it seems like. I could be wrong but there are EMA and RSA in there? I am nowhere near expert enough to take a guess at these either.

@FEBO could you please share the link? I'm curious to know what this chart represents as well.

2313  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin up to $20,000 before 2020? on: October 13, 2019, 06:06:31 PM
  • There is a massive FOMO sentiment amongst crypto enthusiasts
There's no FOMO right now that I can see.  That only happens when the price is shooting up, not when it's stagnating--which is exactly what it's doing now, and it's stagnating after dropping a couple thousand dollars in value.  If and when bitcoin starts to climb to $20k, then we'll start seeing some real FOMO, and as I've said before that isn't necessarily a good thing.  That kind of fear leads to overinflated prices and potential bubbles.

He posted this before BAKKT release. At that time there was a FOMO what will happen after release. Now yes there is none. Yes there is a general mini FOMO about halving but that is it. We had super good Q2 and a correction in Q3.

I think the reason why the Bitcoin price wont go below $8,000, because of the "mini FOMO" that you mentioned as everyone is expecting the price will increase in huge figure on next year's halving.  It wont break the $8,600 barrier as well, because a lot of momentum sellers and traders are dumping btc, while other investors starts accumulating at $8,000 mark.

But we are more then a half year before halving and only 5% drop put us under $8000.  I believe sub $8000 is very possible. Sub $6000 are already much closer to impossible then possible.

2315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SC good to invest ? on: October 12, 2019, 07:25:53 PM
hi guys
do u think SC (Sia coin) good to invest at 20 sat ?
https://www.binance.com/en/trade/SC_BTC

One week latter at 28 sats.  That was nice 40% growth in only a week time.  It is obvious that you cant be added to Kraken every week, but still without developers doing good job over last 3 years this would not be possible.
2316  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the things you hate about Islam! on: October 12, 2019, 06:48:34 PM
I see lot of people here hates Islam for many reason and I would like to know each personals why they are hating, mention the reasons.

I am a Muslim but not a Jihad or extremist,I love my life since its become peaceful and no one has controlling me like what others think.

One particular thing I hate from Islam is Multiple marriages allowed because it was created for good intention but now its being misused.

LOL, none. But I would ask all religious people to keep your religion as your private matter.  If I am a skateboarder, I dont go and write a grafiti on school wall skate or die. I take my skateboard and go skate.
2317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news form North Korea on: October 12, 2019, 05:52:47 PM
North Korea has become very interested in creating its own cryptocurrency and has a sufficient level of competence to move forward with this plan, But that's not all. On Sept. 10, Cao de Benos tweeted that the North Korean authorities have allowed citizens to own cryptocurrencies, and local developers “are designing crypto wallets and other related apps right now.

I see there is a block chain conference in February next year.I guess best is to go there and see how they progressed. https://nkcryptocon.com/
2318  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 12, 2019, 03:39:22 PM
Ten years ago today, 5,050 btc were sold for $5.02 in the first market transaction for bitcoin.

Today, they'd be worth $42,171,792.50.

A rise of 838,078,685%.

LoL this is a Reach man  Roll Eyes

Him calling it most important is a bit silly. I believe buying pizza or anything else with Bitcoin was way more important.  Ha, I just checked the pizza day and 10th anniversary will be right around halving.
2319  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Erdogan Invades Syria on: October 11, 2019, 08:21:04 PM
He just started this invasion in order to strengthen the migrant waves and push pressure to Europe.

This is super dumb statement. Since for Syrians to reach Europe they need to cross Turkey. Why would he want more refugees? There is already huge number of Syrian refuges in Turkey. Most are in Jordan.  Plan and goals are different. Refugees are just what comes with wars in 20th and 21th century.
2320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What exactly decentralized mean? on: October 11, 2019, 04:35:40 PM
When we talk about decentralisation in Bitcoin and other crypto currencies, there we talk about few different things:
Main what is mention is mining decentralisation. Miners secure the network. Not decentralised network could mean that someone can cheat and that would make Bitcoin insecure.
Second part that is often mention is development decentralization. In beginning of 2009 when only Satoshi was developing, if something would happen to him, then Bitcoin would die. He was also able to make any change he liked back then. Now such things cant happen. They can is some small coins. Or tokens. For Etehreum tokens you already realised they are centralised. They are controlled by the one that made a smart contract. Tokens are much different then PoW cryptocurrencies.
Third part are exchanges/market. in 2013 and before when huge chunk of Bitcoins was exchanged on MtGox, Bitcoin market was centralised.  They were able to manipulate it easily. Today when there is more exchanges it is much harder.

If this 3 things are not decentralised, then that coin should not even be called cryptocurrency. I understand it takes time to achieve all that. But problem is that some coins dont have this even at end of the tunnel.
