1401  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Gold Leaving Bitcoin(The Digital Gold) Behind? on: May 07, 2020, 02:20:59 PM
Gold is up 14% in 2020 where it has been a horrible year for other markets like oil and metal industry like copper and aluminum, stocks, etc. And about Bitcoin, it is 4.1% down this year.

Bitcoin is now up 30% this year. What about Gold?  Oh gold is up 12% this year.  This post did not age that well did it? And not even one month passed from it.

A bit late but it is impossible to monitor all exchanges on time that adds Monero to their platforms, because they do it by them self. They get no endorsement by anyone to do it.  Anyway there si new excange addig Monero named Latoken from Russia.

1403  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. economy contracted sharply in the first quarter of 2020 on: May 06, 2020, 09:56:24 PM
Since the USA went on lockdown very late, I think that's the reason why their GDP fell that much. Before they impose lockdown, the virus was already spreading and they are being affected already. Travel ban and their tourism I think was already affected even before the lockdown. It makes it even worse for them because the government didn't make an early action about this problem. The virus began last year, no wonder why even without the lockdown it already affected the GDP of the US and its economy.

2nd quarter will even be harder for them. Not only the USA but for every country affected by the virus. 2nd quarter of the year yet there is still no vaccine available, it means the longer this lockdown will last, the more the economy will be affected badly.

Yes tourism also trade with China. China was locked down already in February. Also another thing. California that is by far biggest USA economy, had virus and businesses closed even before Europe in early March. Same as Washington state. So it sort of makes sense now.
1404  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: May 06, 2020, 08:59:09 PM
Its really be a long time in that case, i have read up the thread you have given which do actually had those valid points. After all these years? they didnt even have any progress on what they had
promised.

As i read back where they might have some updates this year and lets give them the chance to prove it out and if not then they might ask for another year.  Grin

Casino website is much different as it was in 2017. There are also a lot more games that back then. There were also other  updates like something with speed just recently.  Casino itself when compared to other web casinos gets high scores. It is normal to not change what is good.
But basing of on what they had raised back in ICO then there's should really be some updates or changes which shouldn't really took to long or do take up for years.
The site design is good and way better than others but people do really look for something new and investors of Bitdice do really expect something on what they
had invested.

There are planed more updates and new games. But my point was that if someone is keep saying that nothing was done at all, then some people will believe that. So I had to reply to that since that is not the case with BitDice website.
1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Diamond Backed Stablecoin on: May 06, 2020, 08:49:28 PM
Hello,
I present to you my project DigitalDiamond,
A diamond backed stablecoin. 1 digitalDiamond will be equal to the price of 1g of diamonds.
Currently in development phase and actively looking for sponsors/investors.

Please present your reviews and ideas about this project. Looking for
C-O-N-S-T-R-U-C-T-I-V-E   C-R-I-T-I-S-M.

Investors/sponsors will get return from the ICO, and will be featured on our website, and will be allowed to advertise their product.

Just two:
1. Diamonds are extremely bad investment. Cant compare with Gold or Silver.
2. Why would anyone buy a digital token and not a diamond? By haveing a token instead of real diamond he just risk that once he will claim the diamond you will say to him "Sorry we are out of diamonds."

2. Why would anyone buy a digital token and not gold?

Totally the same. It is just additional risk.  Blockchain is made to secure digital asset not a real life asset.  Real estate. Idiotic.  Someone will hack your wallet and steal your house token and then your house will be his?

What do you guys think about the collateral to other altcoins like dash or ether? When monero is something special why the price of most altcoins move at the same time?

Price of most altcoins move the same at the same time only until they dont move the same anymore.   If more people use a coin i have to reflect to the price. Such event happened in August 2016. Now transactions growth is more steady but at some point price will follow.
1408  Economy / Economics / Re: China will rule world as economy king after crisis end? on: May 05, 2020, 02:54:32 PM
China have predicted 1.2% GDP growth in 2020. But I am not sure how can they predict GDP in times like this when we have no ideas how will second covid-19 wave look like. Most countries GDP should decrease around 5% and those relying on tourism 10%.

China reported that its first quarter GDP contracted by 6.8%, what is about the same as it grew in Q4 2019. So right now are at same level as in October 2019.

1410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yoda X (YOD): a cryptocurrency that will change the world on: May 04, 2020, 04:25:57 PM
We all know that Money is a universal means of exchanging various goods and services among themselves, as well as a measure. The amount of money measures the value of a product or service, and the money measures the wages, or in different ways, the value of various specialists. Money can be paper, metal, virtual.

Aristotle wrote a definition of money in 300 BC. It had not changed until now.  https://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article10370.html   Would be a huge waste to start something without tributes known for millenniums.

1411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 04, 2020, 03:47:41 PM
Loving the dips on the btc ratio, feel it's got a legit chance of Monero challenging Btc in the future, to me Monero is digital cash.

It challenge it on a micro level from the last September. If it continue with this rate then very soonTM.

MONTHLY TRANSACTION COUNT
                 Monero   Bitcoin   Ratio
Apr 2020   365,875   8,702,021   4.20%
Mar 2020   303,291   8,904,203   3.41%
Feb 2020   231,953   9,439,548   2.46%
Jan 2020   257,942   9,612,337   2.68%
Dec 2019   216,720   9,430,057   2.30%
Nov 2019   212,716   9,243,776   2.30%
Oct 2019   179,114   9,892,853   1.81%
Sep 2019   159,225   9,798,992   1.62%

Also few days after Bitcoin halving Monero mining emission will go under 2%.  Smiley
1412  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price After 3rd Halving My Prediction on: May 04, 2020, 03:22:46 PM
*** First Halving ***
1Y before $2.50
Halving $12  (~5X)
Peak $1200  (~100X)

*** Second Halving ***
1Y before $280
Halving $650  (~2.5X)
Peak $19300  (~29X)

*** Third Halving ***
1Y before  ~$6500?
Halving ~$8,125  (~1.25X)
Peak ~$68,000  (~8.4X) near Dec 2021 ?

If next ATH will be only $68 I will be very disappointed.  That means that a 80% drop will bring price to sub $20k. Yes the 80% drop can last only few days but still. It is very low. Anything under $100k  will be bad.
1413  Economy / Speculation / Re: What inspired you to buy BTC? on: May 04, 2020, 01:24:04 PM
Well before a decade most of them were not interested to buy bitcoin I feel the only reason could be to stay away from scammers if I am not wrong. People thought they are making fool... And most of them said they may get cheat if some Invest in this coin etc, etc...Now how come the popularity increased and also there were lots of ups and downs in price.

When the value of BTC skyrocketed in 2017 it was the talk of the entire globe, Now guys kindly share me your thoughts what inspired you to buy BTC. Let's be honest to me I want to become rich Grin. What's your opinion.

I think I found somewhere on the internet some basic information's of Bitcoin. Money that you can mine. So I downloaded core wallet and start mining. Of course I had no ideas what I was doing and did not mined anything.  Found also some faucets and spend few hours doing them.  Next day I checked what I earned a day before and calculate it in USD and saw is a huge waste of time and energy.  So forgot about Bitcoin.  That had to be in late 2012 or early 2013.  I remember when i looked at price chart is looked like I am way late to buy some and get rich fast.

Then in Spring 2014 I looked at it again. Checked my wallet and when calculated how much there is and since price increased a lot I realised that those few hours doing faucets were a very high paid job. Tongue    So that was basically the tipping point for me to start reading more about Bitcoin. And after that it took short time to buy first Bitcoin.
1414  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. economy contracted sharply in the first quarter of 2020 on: May 04, 2020, 12:04:19 PM
I think you're overreacting. The drop in GDP is due to the closure of most shops, air transport and tourism.

Yes it is but in USA it only happened in few weeks of March. January and February were normal months.  I am not overeating. If few March weeks had such impact on GDP how will have April total lock down? And only god knows what will happen in May.
1415  Economy / Economics / The U.S. economy contracted sharply in the first quarter of 2020 on: May 03, 2020, 11:51:43 PM
The U.S. economy contracted at its fastest rate since the Great Recession.
GDP fell 4.8% in January to March, compared to the previous quarter.
Consumer spending fell sharply.

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/04/the-u-s-economy-contracted-sharply-in-the-first-quarter-of-2020

But I dont understand why so much. USA went in lockdown only at end of March.  Europe started around 10th March. USA was at least 10 days latter. How can GDP drop almost 5% when Jan and Feb were positive?  How can be the 2020 predictions for USA around 5%?  Q2 GDP drop will be catastrophic!!!
1416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Minecraft and cryptocurrencies on: May 03, 2020, 02:16:27 PM
Hey guys, what would you think of building a roleplay minecraft server on top of a Blockchain with a currency. It would be a roleplay server, where you can earn currency by working inside the game, or trading items, building stuff, would be the ingame currency. This currency in a future could be exchanged with bitcoin.

You cant build games on blockchain. Games have to run on a local database. Doing it on blockchain would be very expensive. What you can do it to have games asset on blockhain. All you need to do is to issue an asset on one of asset platforms. Counterparty, Etehreum, Waves, Bitshares, Tari, ... and link that asset to database of your game.  People then when register account also link a wallet to it and when they buy this tokens that represent an asset in game then game adds that asset to their ingame account.
1417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: applications of having two opposite position on one token (hedge mode) on: May 03, 2020, 01:01:26 PM
On Binance Futures in hedge mode, we can have two opposite positions (long and short). What's the point of using this feature while the net position is either long or short. For example if I hold a $1000-long and a $300-short and the price goes down, I will lose the same amount of money as I just hold one $700-long.
1000 - 300 = 700
Even if we want to open the second position (opposition position) as stop-limit in a specific point, it's the same as setting a stop loss and reducing (or totally closing) our position. That is again one position.

It is not there for people to use both. It is there for people to use either one. Or going long or going short.
1418  Economy / Economics / Re: BitMEX to restrict all Japanese users from its Platform on: May 03, 2020, 12:25:16 PM
According to newly passed Japan, Financial Instruments and Exchange and, Japan Payment Services Act amendments, the exchange has announced it will restrict Japan residents from new account registrations starting from April 30th, 2020, and forbid existing users to place an order from May 1st, 2020.

The amendment also stated that crypto businesses require to register with the regulatory agencies and comply with relevant provisions.

Japan was very progressive with crypto 5 years ago. Now it seems they are falling behind. They prohibit their citizens to be part of crypto revolution. Japanese people should react. Tell the government what kind of country they want to live in.

Kim Jong Un The North Korea president trending on twitter

I would say who is trending is his sister Kim Yo-jong. We had never heard this much about her as now. Way more as when she visited the opening of 2018 Winter Olympics in Seoul.

1420  Economy / Economics / Re: China’s second corona wave can it crush it’s economy? on: May 02, 2020, 01:31:55 PM
I saw GDP growth predictions yesterday and China had 1.2% growth fro 2020.  What is quite nice. Most countries will have 5% drop of GDP in 2020. Some countries that highly depend on tourism even 10%.  So I would not be so worried for China. But extremely worried for touristic countries. Even in 2021 people will be cautious with travelling.
