2321  Other / Archival / Re: Complex password is the key to security on: March 05, 2022, 05:01:23 PM
Great explanation and chart. Most account hacking happens due to the use of typical passwords. This means we usually remember a few passwords which have been used on multiple sites. So in case of leak or hack data from a site, hackers gain access to other account's passwords. This is a very bad habit of humans. Also, remembering different passwords for each account is quite complicated, but we should write all the passwords on hard paper and secure them in a safe place. Otherwise, it's hard to maintain all the passwords.
2322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc price controlled by they might satsoshi on: March 05, 2022, 04:21:47 AM
Unrealistic thoughts IMO. No one can control Bitcoin price anyway even the creator. Because it's a decentralized cryptocurrency no one has control over it. Yea, but the price would influence by someone and the person should like Elon, I mean big whales and popular faces in crypto space. It doesn't mean they could control, influence & control wouldn't be the same. Likely someone knows who is Satoshi, but we don't know who is he/she. Satoshi strictly maintained his anonymity. So commenting on that is just nonsense.
2323  Economy / Economics / Re: What if Russia economy grows higher after the war on: March 03, 2022, 06:33:11 PM
Putin is mad, so we can't assume anything in advance. It's pretty sure Putin not gonna stop the war before he wins. Since any country including NATO isn't helping Ukraine, then it's not hard for Russian to grab the Ukraine. Two things would happen, Putin would combine Ukraine with Russia as a state, or he could accomplish his nominated president there. The more likely second option would be done. But I think sanctions would exist the same as now even they win. Not gonna change it very soon. Putin has to struggle to rebuild the economy with help of their friend country. There is something on his mind that we don't know exactly.
2324  Economy / Economics / Re: Decentralized assets might be the saving grace after the war on: March 03, 2022, 06:19:15 PM
The war wouldn't or shouldn't appreciate anyway. I don't think Russian citizens shouldn't worry about their crypto assets. Because any exchange shouldn't block citizens' funds anyway, otherwise it would break their own made policy. But yes, citizens should stay safe zone. Because Putin is quite aggressive, we don't know when he will take what decisions. Whether war or not, funds shouldn't be left on centralized exchange or wallet. Funds should be under the control of users, not controlled by exchange or wallet.
2325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Women and Cryptocurrency on: March 03, 2022, 02:53:11 PM
Wondering how they exactly assume that 30% of women will buy crypto. Before assuming that we have to know what is the percentage of women financially established and earning. And how they are familiar with cryptocurrency. I don't think it's an easy task to identify. Surveying 1031 women aren't enough to make sure interested buyers. Many country women still don't know about Bitcoin. I have seen a survey in my country only 5% of University students heard about Bitcoin. So now imagine how many percentages of women in my country know about Bitcoin. I think it would be less than 1% of total women. It's true day by day women's cryptocurrency users increasing. But the survey wasn't reasonable to me.
2326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is refusing to block Russian customer's crypto wallets. on: March 03, 2022, 02:40:33 PM
It's not only Binance, any exchange shouldn't block a user's account anyway. The fault isn't of Citizens, Binance would block government officers' accounts if they really want to do something. Any exchange would exclude a country if they want, but for that fund wouldn't be seized anyway. And excluding a country is harmful to the exchange, not for the users. There are a lot of cryptocurrency users and traders in Russia and a handsome revenue has been coming from there. So taking a strict decision means the exchange will lose the revenue from there. I don't think exchanges owners are soo stupid anyway. Rather than exchange owners could stand for Ukraine Citizens to help them like Binance.
2327  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Emotional Scam on: March 02, 2022, 05:14:28 PM
Yea, often I have been receiving DM on Telegram from wonderful women about cryptocurrency investment. They do not talk directly to invest. Their aim is first to introduce herself then slowly move to a relationship. Then she will ask if you are familiar with cryptocurrency. To be honest they targeted you from cryptocurrency communities like Telegram or any other similar platform. Eventually, a few greedy and emotional people fall into the trap. For me, once they ask whether I am familiar with cryptocurrency or not then I just block them. Because I am not gonna invest anyway, so don't want to waste my time there.

Anyway, thanks for sharing it with us. Other emotional users would take a lesson from here especially those who are weak for women.
2328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding or swing trading on: March 02, 2022, 02:29:59 PM
Listen, everyone wants to make money from trading, no one wants to lose anyway. So the swing trade was easier than everyone would move there. But it's not what you are thinking. Always not happen what we expect exactly in our life. Same as swing trade is risky as well. It's very important to know technical analysis to predict the chart movements for swing traders where holding is easier. Swing is almost day trading just a matter of time duration.
2329  Economy / Economics / Re: Can current sanctions Ruble inflation stop Russia? on: March 02, 2022, 01:21:39 PM
The sanctions won't make weak Russia quickly. I am pretty sure Putin knew very well the sanctions will come when he will begin the war. So I think he already thinks of some alternatives for that though we don't know what is that. Rubble value dropped because of more cash out and panic. Citizens need safety if the situation becomes more worst. That's the reason citizens withdraw Rubble from the Bank and ATM. Russia would create an alternative to SWIFT, he would create new things with his supportive countries or choose cryptocurrency. And I don't think exchanges will ban Russians from using them. They will lose revenue and users will be in fear. Because any country would be in this situation in near future. So banning citizens from trading wouldn't be helpful to prevent Putin. They have the capability of creating such exchanges.
2330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This Ukraine issue has me thinking a lot. In a crisis, how valuable is bitcoin? on: March 02, 2022, 01:02:39 PM
The advantage of legalizing Bitcoin would help using that during this situation like war or any other crisis. I know the big question would raise about the uses of the Internet. Keep in mind, once a day Internet will be fully controlled by satellite where you don't need to seek the network. Then Bitcoin use will be hassle-free. For now, we can use the Lightning channel for Bitcoin even without an Internet connection. But in this war, people realized the importance of cryptocurrency. Every payment channel would block except Bitcoin. So Bitcoin still would help move funds from anywhere.
2331  Other / Meta / Re: Does the forum not like us using TOR or privacy applications? on: March 01, 2022, 05:36:25 PM
This isn't a forum issue I think. Because once I visit some other site using Tor where need to fill captcha face same issue. So the problem with the privacy browsers is not to the forum. You may ignore the captcha as described above. I use special link for Tor to avoid annoying captcha. Just secure your link with captcha code to avoid brute force your password.
2332  Other / Meta / Re: freedom of speech is fine, but where is the limit? on: February 28, 2022, 12:08:57 PM
Freedom of speech doesn't mean we can threaten anyone. It has been added to the unofficial forum rules that some activities should avoid. This means that aren't included freedom of speech. Freedom doesn't mean we can make trouble for others. These feedbacks are nonsense, though it's not a direct death thread it indicates if he found then he would kill. I am not sure how the forum administration will treat it, but I think this feedback should be removed and disabled leaving feedback for that user. Otherwise, he will continue to abuse the feedback/trust system.
2333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Conditions of bounty campaigns these days on: February 28, 2022, 04:39:58 AM
To be honest nowadays good projects aren't running bounty campaigns here anymore. Because of cheating and spamming. Bounty means just copy-paste and spam over social media. Buy followers to increase stakes. And most of the projects were disappointed after running a bounty campaign. It's because then they realize how bounty hunters work. We know most of the project scamming hunters and investors. That's why I told very rarely legit projects choose Bitcointalk bounty lately. Time has changed, there are a lot of marketing options that we aren't aware of. Projects moving there to get a real Audience.
2334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New trading platform - IXFI on: February 28, 2022, 04:20:37 AM
No doubt OP is shilling IXFI. I never heard about this exchange nor am I interested in it. I am not a fan of using new centralized exchange anyway. There is a lot of well-reputed exchange to whom I have faith. I know a new exchange would be trusted and users may use it. But for me, I will not use it till they prove themselves trustworthy. That's how the new exchange proved at the beginning. It's just not a matter of a few greedy offers or trading fees. It's a matter of funds and trust. So don't shill a brand new exchange for money. Let them prove.
2335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Watch out for cryptocurrency QR code generators, they're almost all fake! on: February 28, 2022, 03:57:25 AM
I am not getting why we need to generate QR codes for cryptocurrency? I never use that nor do I need to use it. Because almost all wallets and exchanges are giving facilities of QR code. So no meaning search it on Google and generate a new one from there. On the other hand, popping up on Google search doesn't prove the legitimacy of a program or software. So don't use Google search for every and each need.
2336  Economy / Reputation / Re: User Woke Up from long period of activity send phishing link via PM. on: February 27, 2022, 01:47:15 PM
Seems the attacker forum status changed to archived status (Autoban). You did the right thing by reporting to admins. Most likely account farmers wake up to spread phishing links. Thanks for sharing it with the community.

By the way, seems OP needs 38 merits to move next rank. So I decided to help OP. Congratulations OP, you are now Hero Member.
2337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin, You'll Thank Me Later - Mexican Billionaire Says on: February 27, 2022, 04:08:52 AM
Good to see that, they are billionaire because their brain is sharper than us and they are well aware of what they are saying. Their thoughts are also billionaire thoughts, I appreciate it. The recent dump was just due to panic nothing more nor something negative for Bitcoin. It's true due to the Ukraine war global economy is quite shaky now. But for Bitcoin, it's just due to panic sales. He is right, Bitcoin would be gold for the modern world, and I think more than Gold though I never compare Bitcoin with Gold. So definitely who will follow him will say thanks later.
2338  Economy / Services / Re: I want to work on bounty spreadsheets. on: February 27, 2022, 04:01:13 AM
You should describe your previous experience on the thread to get a quick job. Because some spreadsheet editors think just counting the post is worth spreadsheet management and they never bother to click on the link whether it's correct or not. I have the experience they will tell me I work with many spreadsheets and then just count the report and update to the master sheet. So you just need to mention and prove where you have worked. If you worked with any managers they may support you here which would help you a lot. Hope you got my point.

I've done a lot of small things before.
This isn't right way to present your experience, should more professional.
2339  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does Huobi Global, KuCoin and Gate.io require KYC? on: February 27, 2022, 03:40:26 AM
I have used KuCoin just a few days back and they allow withdrawal without KYC. I had been trading for a few days there and withdraw funds from there. So you may try there, just try with small funds first to check if everything works fine.

On the other hand, if you have too many problems and are worried about them then you can check the forum currency exchange section. Likely you may need a bit higher compensation due to the escrow fee. Dealing without escrow is a high risk on the forum, keep it in mind.
2340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope Vs Realty of bitcoin on: February 26, 2022, 01:16:46 PM
Those who have bought at a high price and held for a long time are expecting a straight move which wouldn't happen ever. Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency because of its volatility. So that traders and holders could take advantage of the volatility. Which wouldn't happen ever that shouldn't be expected. If Bitcoin starts straight line then people would lose interest to take entry which will stop straight line automatically. Believe it or not, psychology is directly related to Bitcoin pump and dump. We can't read traders' minds, that's why price pump and dump will exist forever.
