2321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin up to $20,000 before 2020? on: October 11, 2019, 03:20:02 PM
  • There is a massive FOMO sentiment amongst crypto enthusiasts
There's no FOMO right now that I can see.  That only happens when the price is shooting up, not when it's stagnating--which is exactly what it's doing now, and it's stagnating after dropping a couple thousand dollars in value.  If and when bitcoin starts to climb to $20k, then we'll start seeing some real FOMO, and as I've said before that isn't necessarily a good thing.  That kind of fear leads to overinflated prices and potential bubbles.

He posted this before BAKKT release. At that time there was a FOMO what will happen after release. Now yes there is none. Yes there is a general mini FOMO about halving but that is it. We had super good Q2 and a correction in Q3.
2322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MONERO - $2500 on: October 11, 2019, 02:32:45 PM

Right now only coin that is at least a bit used and adopted is Bitcoin. None of the other is used much. Monero have clear use case and when/"if" people will start start using it that will cause great demand. No matter how much markets will be open to buy Monero. With atomic swaps that exchanging should be quite simple.  Monero stock to flow ratio is higher then Bitcoins and in a year time will be also higher then stock to flow ratio of Gold. But that means nothing. Because Gold exist 10000 years and is fully adopted. Monero exist 5 and Bitcoin 10 years, so they  have most adoption ahead of it. So is not wise to expect much from its stock to flow ratio.
It's a so unstable situation with an undefinable result. What about a currency that was stable but is history now? Italian lira, franc, escudo, gulden, something else - where are those currency? Simply under the law because of the Euro. We can see the same for Monero and other privacy. And it scares me. Gold and silver have a long history of becoming. That's why they left along. But privacy crypto can become illegal in the same way.

Cryptocurency can become illegal at some places. But that will not stop them. If people will find it useful they will use it. Bitcoin was illegal and still is at some countries but people still use it.  Bitcoin and Monero are not only unstoppable by anyone but also no one can prevent someone use it. Everyone can use it. If you are 150 cm tall or 220 cm. If you have white hair or black hair. Everyone.

At the end only people will chose what they will use. So far I see no one is building houses with glass walls and everyone close door when using public restroom. Companies do not show their competition how big salary they give or hw much they pay their suppliers. People, companies and governments do care about privacy.
2323  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market after Q3 and at the start of Q4 on: October 11, 2019, 01:57:18 PM
I found this chart on the net and added last quarter to it. We can see how strong Q2 was. And correction was needed.

2325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 10, 2019, 06:31:07 PM
By the way, might be just a random thing, but Monero mentioned first among cryptocoins on fasttech.com
Thinking about ordering something there. Actually already made an order about a year ago, but afair was using xmr.to.
Wanna use direct Monero payment this time.

Well I think they went from up down and then left again up to down, so Bitcoin is actually ahead of Monero and all cards and paypal is ahead of all crypto.

ETF decision (drum roll) REJECT rule change     Cry   https://www.sec.gov/rules/sro/nysearca.htm

Also, that 95% can't be separated from the real 5% in a reliable way that prevents the fake/unregulated/manipulated exchanges from affecting the price of the real exchanges.

What could not be done yesterday can be done tomorrow.   I see a lot of efforts by many to find real volume. But most exchanges of course dont want to participate in it since higher volume makes them more appealing to attract the real traders.
2327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MONERO - $2500 on: October 10, 2019, 05:04:20 PM
Official capital is resisting privacy. However, this market will sooner or later give the necessary value to confidentiality-based coins. This is my opinion because it would be an alternative to the current economy.

True. I wouldn't doubt the fact that XMr will be one of the best actual "cryptocurrencies" in terms of people's real use of it, and its practicality and scalability.

But with people's fear that XMR will get delisted as a matter of time from big time exchanges due to regulation changes, and the perennial concern over government's stance over anonymous coins in general, it is extremely hard for hype or FOMO to ever really kick off. Couple that with the fact that XMR's community has been historical quite rational and unencouraging of hype, we'll likely never see much volatility.

Unless BTC sees an extremely large bull run (which seems unlikely at the moment), I doubt that XMR will see any formidable price hike. Vice versa, I don't see any reason that its value should come crashing down even with all the additional restrictions on exchanges with trading it. It's fulfilling its role as a currency a lot better than most other cryptos, but it's just not going to be a good speculative coin.

Right now only coin that is at least a bit used and adopted is Bitcoin. None of the other is used much. Monero have clear use case and when/"if" people will start start using it that will cause great demand. No matter how much markets will be open to buy Monero. 2328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins With an Actual Working Product on: October 10, 2019, 04:33:52 PM
its very hard to value what a product is..
ZCash has a product - the ZKP is the product - the privacy. their product is being deployed on others chains even on Ethereum

ZCash dont have a product a privacy. ZCash is digital money. So as Bitcoin, Monero, BCH BSV and 10000 others. That is their product. Finished product and for so many money is only real block chain use case, because only money is worth to afford the costs that block chain brings over database.
2329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Worthy to invest in Grin on: October 10, 2019, 04:08:19 PM
Grin is a new coin and I have heard a lot about it. Bitcointalk forum admin has started to accept grin as a payment method. Is it worthy to invest in grin now? The current price is $4.50 or something like that. What do you think? Will it increase or decrease more?

26th January when you posted this price of Grin was $10 now is $2,5. Did this answered your question well?

And half year latter $1,32. I guess price decrease is slowly slowing down. 1 Grin is now 16k sat.  I believe when sub 10k it might be worth to start looking into Grin. Still a risky and very long term investment. But the developers team is working well.

It still has a relatively low market cap though. Personally, I'm waiting for the price to come down below $1 and I'll pick some up. I mined a few back when it first came out, but I haven't invested anything in it. It all depends on what they end up doing with the project. Right now, it's remarkably average in my opinion. They're not really doing anything to get any attention since it first came out. There is a lot of room to grow in the marketcap, but they're going to have to do something to draw some attention.

They are developing a coin not draw an attention. And they do it right way and successfully. That is all that matters long term. Drawing attention matters little.
2330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Percentage commission cryptocurrency on: October 09, 2019, 12:40:13 AM
I`m looking for cryptocurrency with percentage transaction comission. Example: using bitcoin, I have to pay fixed amount of satoshi, no matter I transfer 0.0001btc or 100btc. But is there a cryptocurrency, with which I have to pay 0.01 coins to transfer 10 coins and 1 coin to transfer 1000 (comission 0.1%)?

You pay transaction by size in bytes. If you send more coins your transaction usually have a bit bigger size. But of course it dont have a correlation with value you sent.
2331  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: October 08, 2019, 11:50:24 PM
FYI, according to this article, https://100casinos.top/fastest-dice-game-provider/. Bitdice is the fastest online dice game website, testament that Bitdice is one of the top notch dice game on there. And probably this is one reason why whales and ordinary players love to play with Bitdice because of this experience.

Nice find. It is first with a nice advantage.  I guess for those that love to play Dice, Bitdice is definitely the place to try.

Your favorite Youtube channels about finance and economics?

I watch Keiser Report https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQmW1ZcPKiAZ2ZP_3naA1kA/videos  He is a bit crazy so you have to not take it totally serious, but it is still nice to watch.
2334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's future prospects on: October 08, 2019, 07:12:58 PM
Like if someone finds a way to print 20+ more millions of bitcoins which is highly unlikely if you ask me because code is solid.
Inflation bugs will be forked out very quickly, so for me that has never been an issue im too afraid of. The more critical the bugs are, the faster they are being worked on, especially within Bitcoin's ecosystem.

I would worry more about extra inflation when it comes to privacy coins. As we speak XMR might have a bug exploited where millions of it were printed. The more you do to obfuscate the origin of a coin, the harder it is to detect.

Bitcoin had inflation bug, Monero never had one.  You can easily audit the Monero supply: https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/11548/how-does-monero-protect-users-from-inflation-bugs-if-the-blockchain-cant-be-aud

All Monero code is open source. And all code was audited several times by audit companies. You can see reports of RandomX audits here: https://ostif.org/four-audits-of-randomx-for-monero-and-arweave-have-been-completed-results/   and you can see reports of Buletproofs audits by Kudelski here: https://ostif.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/KudelskiBulletproofsFinal.pdf    I know Buletproofs were audited by 4 diferent companies.

This audits cost a lot of money. Beside organisation. Monero is doing it right way. Bugs are always possible and can also happen in Monero. But I am sure there are 99.99% other blockchains that will bug and even inflation bug happen then in Monero.
2335  Economy / Economics / Re: World Global Economy 2019 and future. on: October 08, 2019, 05:40:27 PM
..., im waiting for critics now!

You are very optimistic. All what you wrote is fine if you think of the rest of 2019 or start of next year, but if we look at whole next year and 2021, then you are very optimistic. There is high chance we will see a total crash in next two years. I would give to that more then 50% chances. And that crisis will be global. Even Africa will be part of it.
2336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MONERO - $2500 on: October 07, 2019, 08:26:37 PM
2,5 k is too much mate, i think 800$ is very posible if the market will go into a bull run

Even 800 bucks for a privacy coin is too much. Maybe on a bull market, when BTC will moon, altcoins will follow, but to be realistic there is no space for privacy coins in the future, if we would ever reach the mass adoption.

I totally disagree that there is no place for opaque ledger cryptocurrencies. I believe, the marketshare will be way over 50%.
With so many companies and startups doing blockchain analysis and the constant progress that they make. With most exchanges doing KYC and with decentralised exchanges still being hard to use and avoided by users. With all that, people, companies and governments will realise how important are cryptocurrencies with opaque ledger whose transactions cant be linked. Capitalism is a comparative environment. You lose a lot when your competition knows everything about your transactions.
2337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am late. Is it okay if I just pray? on: October 07, 2019, 07:03:49 PM
I feel I'm really really late to the adoption.

Really I'm not any joking. I'm trying to trade, but it's way too hard to make any profit.

You are not late and dont trade. Trading is gambling. You will better do in regular casino, since they give you free food and drinks there. Just read and learn. Buy and earn. Yes Bitcoin is money so you can earn it.
2338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 07, 2019, 06:35:42 PM
I feel like we are back in winter during the fall. Smiley

The night is darkest right before the dawn.  Price did not decrease much if at all, but the 2017 is now so far away that is not that memory about it is fading. So people are losing hope. People like more the bear markets with hope then the sideways without hope.
2339  Economy / Economics / Re: First Country to have comprehensive regulations for crypto token economy on: October 07, 2019, 06:11:40 PM
Blockchain companies moving to Liechtenstein will prove that accepting crypto to their country would provide more opportunities to participate in the crypto community and would also give more influence to their countries itself.

Having regulations is not good for companies. It is good for customers. Regulations are there to protect customers. For companies is best if there is zero regulations and they can experiment whatever and however they want.

With all that people, companies and governments will realise how important are cryptocurencies with opaque ledger whose transactions cant be linked. Solely this will increase use of Monero and increased use will rise Monero price way over $10000.
