2321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's not a good rise, actually it's bad on: February 10, 2021, 07:10:19 PM
At least people are knowing about bitcoin because of Elon. Yeah, I know this is wrong in a way that Elon can cause influence in the market, but if he has good intention, then everything is okay over here.
Lets look at the bright side. Because of Elon more people are knowing about bitcoin. Those who are truly curious will start to learn about it and get to know how it works. And then there will be people who blindly joins and waits to see what happens next to make some quick profit. Now lets say, Elon says something bad about bitcoin and praises XRP (which you are worried about), then those who blindly followed him will sell everything, make a loss and jump to XRP. On other hand, those who studied and now knows the advantage of crypto currencies, they will stick to it. In the end, we get a positive result, more "educated" people in the market, while "sheeps" leave.
2322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people follow Elon Musk? on: February 10, 2021, 07:39:42 AM
Elon is an ambitious person. People like to follow those who  are ambitious. They know that anything a proven ambitious person says is going to affect how people look at things. Hence, most of the people are following Elon for their own benefit/profit. Like look at this. Elon changed his bio in twitter to #bitcoin. Those who has been following Elon knows he is up to something. So they started investing in bitcoin and other crypto currencies. And then after a week, baam! Tesla buys around $1.5 billion worth of bitcoin causing the price to reach a new all time high! Those people who invested early after looking at updates from Elon, already made some good amount of profits!
So in other words, people are interested in Elons work since they are interesting and also help them make profit.
2323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I messed up and feel terrible about it on: February 10, 2021, 07:31:18 AM
I messed up, big time. I don't think I've messed up that much in a long time.
I sold my almost last bit of Bitcoin I had, (about 0.03 BTC), during yesterday's new all-time high at approximately 37.000 Euros. It's definitely a small amount, close to nothing, especially when comparing to what you guys probably have, but I totally screwed up.
I did it thinking that the price would crash later on, then proceed to spend that money to buy more Bitcoin, but I don't see that happening. I should have kept my balance intact, 0.03 BTC would still be 0.03 BTC, now, in order to buy back I'd have to spend way more money than I would. I think that I might be panicking way too much for nothing, I mean it can't continue rising forever, but the thought of regret is eating me.
I guess you didn't sell at loss, right? You still made profit since you sold it during the last all time high. Then why are you regretting? No one knew that we would be seeing another all time within few weeks!
Don't regret. Just move on. Maybe start all over again? If you are scared of losing your initial investment, then just invest the profits you made in bitcoin or other well known currencies. You still have chance to make some good profit in the future!
2324  Economy / Economics / Re: All world banks need bitcoin now big solution on: February 09, 2021, 08:45:51 PM
Sorry, you are wrong. I doubt bitcoin will replace "wire transfer" or any of the banking system. What is going to replace those system is the blockchain technology, not the coins itself. Let me tell you one thing, blockchain and bitcoin isn't the same thing. It's the blockchain technology that bitcoin is powered on.
If they have no other choice but to use crypto currencies, then they will end up making their own centralized currencies. I doubt they will ever use bitcoin (unless the government starts to heavily and strictly regualate it!).
2325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ETH break it's ATH? on: February 09, 2021, 05:20:52 PM
Already did  Wink. Like people have been saying, ETH is quite undervalued. We can expect to see high price. The recent bitcoin boom is going to help ETH reach even higher. Just invest in ETH (and BTC) and keep holding. I am sure, you will be making very good profit in the long run.
We can expect to see the price cross $2,000 USD anytime soon. Maybe by the end of the month? Who knows, but it will go up!
2326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I sell or hold on my bitcoin? on: February 09, 2021, 05:15:38 PM
Depends on you. Do YOU want to sell? Have you reached your profit goal? Do you need the money now? Are you "afriad" that you might lose everything in the future? If yes, then sell. If no, then why even think about selling? Keep holding and you might make a fortune in the future!
I see no reason for anyone to sell now. As it becomes more mainstream, chances are the price will skyrocket even more in the future!
-snip-
There is also another reason. A promising stock just opened up. So should I sell my bitcoins and but the new stock that I'm interested in?

Then sell. But I doubt that "prosmising stock" is going to be more profitable than holding bitcoin.
2327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Can you still get rich from Crypto? on: February 09, 2021, 07:44:45 AM
You are still trying to promote your scam project? When are you going to stop? You were already exposed and people CAN see your trust rating. The scam accusation thread shows every proof of plagiarism, fake team and how shit the project is. Good luck trying to scam someone from here.
I would say this is one of the worst attempt by a scammer that I have ever seen. But sadly, there are some people who will still fall for it.
2328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is Opening The Pandora Box on: February 09, 2021, 07:31:18 AM
Why do you think he has opened the Pandora's box? I have seen many people like you in the social media being negative towards the decision of Elon and Tesla.
Tesla knows what they are into. It is not like they took the decision in a day or so. They know the benefits of it, and hence they invested in it. We should have all seen it coming when Elon changed his bio in twitter to #bitcoin.
At least now bigger companies are getting into bitcoin, this means more people will be aware of the advantages and usage of crypto currencies.
2329  Economy / Economics / Re: Im big fan of stable coins and this is what I think on: February 08, 2021, 06:40:46 PM
I don't think government will be using USDT or any other currently available stable coins. They highly likely will make their own stable currencies if they wish to go mainstream. Mined/minted and controlled by the central bank, giving the government full power while making good use of crypto currencies.
I think haven't heard about the horror stories linked to USDT. People say that your USDT can be frozen on your own wallet by tether. I have read about various wallets getting frozen. Even USDC wallets can be blacklisted. So, are you still a big fan?
2330  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Couple of Blockchain.info issues/questions on: February 06, 2021, 07:42:19 AM

Not that I recommend using the blockchain.com wallet, but I would like to clarify something here. Why would blockchain.com be the worst place to store your coins? It is obvious that the OP has had access to his BTC since 2013. As far as I know, it is not a custodial wallet and users have access to their private keys and/or seed phrases. Or have I got that wrong?

Did you read the reddit thread and visit the link inside it? -> https://honestproscons.com/unknown-blockchaincom-employee-is-stealing-customers-funds/
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7cz9pu/bitcoin_stolen_from_blockchaininfo_wallet_even/
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/d5fjsv/24_btc_hacked_from_blockchain_wallet25000_stolen/  More links inside the article.

People have been suspicious of them because they think they ARE involved in 'selective scamming'. It is not just blockchain.com, any web wallets are not secure and you are always vulnerable to hacks and scams. I wouldn't encourage anyone to use a web wallet.

In blockchain wallet, you have access to your seed phrase and you can easily derive the keys. But there is no guarantee that you are the only one who have access to the seed and private keys. We don't know whether the keys are stored in their server or not.
You shouldn't use a wallet in which a third party is involved.
Your login details are stored in their server. That's all they need to access your account.
2331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fees are sky high on: February 06, 2021, 07:23:25 AM
You can try sending your coins to an exchange with a lower fee and wait for hours/days for confirmation. Once it gets confirmed you can trade your bitcoins for BCH. Or maybe get some other coins that has very low transaction fee.
You can try using those transaction acceleration services (there are free tx acc. services, some people try to "sell" those. So be careful!), but I doubt that is going to work, but since it is going to cost you nothing, you can give it a go.
2332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Simplest Question: Where do I get bitcoins on: February 06, 2021, 07:02:08 AM
You have $500 in cash? Do P2P or OTC trading. There are some places where you can buy bitcoin from physical locations. You can try using a bitcoin ATM (insane fee. Just easier and faster). Or you can join an exchange. Connect your bank and fund your account. Buy bitcoin with it. There are also other sites that lets you buy bitcoin instantly with your credit card. But they have bad exchange rates and those fees are not worth paying (if you are buying high volume).
Or you can find someone over here and send them paypal or bank transfer and you can receive those coins from them. Make sure you use an escrow.
2333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Crash? on: February 05, 2021, 08:00:22 PM
Bitcoin has been around for quite some time, since 2009 to be exact - but it is only over the past few years that it has garnered the attention it deserves.

The media and critics are always quick to jump on any movement Bitcoin occurs, but can Bitcoin actually crash?

Take a look at this article, its summed up quite nicely: https://4king.com/can-bitcoin-crash/
You article concludes by saying that bitcoin can never crash, which isn't true. Yes, it can crash. What if a vulnerability has been found which can't be fixed? What if we find some algorithms or computing power where the chain can be easily manipulated? What if all the government of the world unite together and impose a ban on using bitcoin? What if they make using bitcoin illegal, hence you cannot use it to exchange goods? What if a technology better than blockchain and crypto currency is found making bitcoin obsolete? The price will crash. Though the chances of these happening is small, there still is a chance.
2334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: xrp pump on: February 05, 2021, 05:00:08 PM
Lol, that's a bullshit group. Let me tell you how this work. They make some random prediction (more like predictions that will happen/everyone knows about) and they come out to be true (because that was bound to happen). People start trusting them. They join their group. Now the top level managers of the group say that this "x" coins is about to skyrocket. They choose coins that has low volume and the ones they holding. They pump it a bit, and people sees that the price is going up. So the group members also start investing on it further pumping the price. Those top level managers now start dumping the coins slowly and starts taking profit. They tell their members that the price is about to be dumped. Those who act fast, makes profit, while most of them loses everything and leaves the group. Those idiots who made profit will start spreading words about them and get new people into the group. The admins pumps and dumps more while scamming those joining late. Those who made profit earlier will likely make a loss now and leave. Others that made profit will invite and the circle goes on. This is how those groups work. Don't join.
2335  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Couple of Blockchain.info issues/questions on: February 05, 2021, 04:45:09 PM
Blockchain.info/com would be the worst place to store your coins. Don't trust any of those web wallets. Don't use any wallets where you don't have access to your private keys. Don't use any wallets where others (staff or company) might have access to your private keys or any details associated to your wallet. Don't use any wallets where you have to be dependent on the availability of the service. What if you need to access your coins, but the server where your coins are stored is down?
Check the forum. You will see how bad they are and how people got screwed over using blockchain.com. Also recently found this on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/lcfwuh/theft_alert_unknown_blockchaincom_employee_is/
-snip-
As long as you keep your Bitcoin in Bitcoin in a non-custodial wallet, it is not in any way subject to the tax authorities?
As long as you don't convert your bitcoin to fiat, you don't owe any taxes (this is what happens in most of the countries). But laws differ from country to country. So know your own law. So countries will exempt you from paying taxes on capital gains if hold into your coins for certain period of time.
2336  Economy / Gambling / Re: looking for realistic dice site on: February 05, 2021, 06:55:10 AM
looking for realistic dice site
like the one in this pic
-snip-

stake had it but they stopped . i dont know why
-snip-
A realistic dice site? You are not looking for a site that is provably fair, legit and offers good service? That is weird. You do know that "looks" are not the only thing that defines a casino, right?
Anyway, the site you mention ended up being a scam. They stopped offering services without any notice and people lost everything they deposited on their site. If you are still looking for a dice with same graphical design and interface, lookup "Rocket Dice" on Bitstarz (another scam site). Play at your own risk over there. Chances are you will lose everything and get scammed by them. Too many scam reports on Bitstarz!

Why not try visiting pocketdice.io Wink and see where it lands you. You might like the dice over there.
2337  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal cryptocurrency trading volume beyond expectations on: February 05, 2021, 06:37:35 AM
Amazing statistics 📈 and great initiative by PayPal.
Great initiative? You mean paypal owning all the bitcoins, where as their users don't actually "own" the coins? How is that a great initiative? Their users pay for the coins, but it is paypal who keeps it. Users are not allowed to withdraw the coins (since they don't own it) or spend it anywhere (unless the merchant accepts paypal as payment). So how is this centralized totally controlled institution has taken a great step?
Elon is really going crazy about the bitcoin and crypto space. He has great plans ahead and I’m pretty sure PayPal is gonna be next big reason people will see bitcoins upsurge.
What does Elon has to do with paypal?
They will soon launch services like crypto cards, PayPal crypto ATM, and who knows a physical crypto bank which is decentralised. It’s Elon you know!! Anything is possible now.
Lol, you are expecting a financial institution like Paypal to create a "Decentralized" physical crypto bank? Keep dreaming. Again, what Elon? You do know that he has nothing to do with Paypal anymore.
2338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL ₿itcoin for Life, not for Lifetime. on: February 05, 2021, 06:23:16 AM
True. I would rather say HODL till you reach your goals. I have seen people who has been holding forever, not wanted to cash in their profit when they have already made enough. But when the price starts crashing, they start regretting. They miss their opportunity to sell high and then buy back when it is low. Though I wouldn't blame them. No one knows what is going to happen to the price next (hence setting a profit goal is the best thing to do!).
As I guess those who HODL for life are the ones who really don't care of the profits or don't need the money they have invested and can afford the loss if they face any.
2339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin do you trust the most? on: February 04, 2021, 06:04:02 PM
Hey guys,
I plan on selling some of my altcoins in the near future. Instead of converting it to fiat, I will rather convert it to BTC and stablecoins. I hear a lot of concerns regarding USDT, which is why I want to ask you guys what stablecoin you prefer to hold?

Thanks in advance.
It is totally okay to be concerned about USDT. I have heard your coins can get frozen anytime. So it is a risk not worth taking. Try some other stable coins that is "truly" decentralized. Maybe try one of those decentralized coins like TUSD or DAI (Do your own research. I don't know much about them and did no research. I have only heard that they are "good". You should trust your OWN opinion).
Why would you want to hold a stable coin though?
2340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do I still have a chance to get profit? on: February 04, 2021, 05:56:28 PM
-snip-
I hope Entry can indeed give me profit in the future, because I just only haven't sold Entry from all of my investment in ICO, so for now I only invest in Ethereum and Entry (although Entry doesn't have a price yet), because I have sold all my coin to buy Ethereum.
Since you are saying they are still active and constantly developing their project, then maybe you might be able to make some profit. Do they have an active community too? If they have, then high chance you will make some profit. But what is weird is that it has been almost 3 years and they still aren't listed on any exchange. And you can only exchange on their platform for now, but has no volume. This isn't a good sign. Maybe keep holding it and forget about it. I don't see any other option since you can't even exchange it.
