1341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you see? on: December 20, 2021, 08:53:14 PM
I think crypto winter is already upon us, no matter how BTC proofs to be stronger it always goes lower since last month, it's getting more harder to retrace old ATH even while institutions are adopting the coin, I believe that massive sell off will happen soon which will unlock the door for the bears
You are probably new to the crypto market. This is how it has always been. The price starts to rise, be stable for a while and then drops. The falling of the price is actually the correction phase. Happens when the price goes up very fast. And it doesn't always goes lower. Why just look at the last month price? How about going back few years and then compare the price? You will see that the price went up a lot. Zoom out the charts even more, and you will see that from few dollars, bitcoin now worth thousands of dollars. I doubt any massive sell out is going to happen anytime soon. The price is already down to $45k while it was above $60k few months ago. Invest now and maximize your profit.
1342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How good is staking coins? on: December 20, 2021, 08:03:08 PM
I'm sure there are many of you participating in staking coins I have a question for you guys, I have this friend who built doge coin mining farm to get some coins and stake them the question is how good is staking? How much are you making in staking every month? I'm not seeing people talking about their staking rewards but miners are..
Yeah, doge coin can be mined, but it cannot be staked because doge coin doesn't use Proof of stake. The network work runs under proof of work, where miners verify transactions and mine blocks. Are you sure your friend is "staking" those dogecoins? He probably is keep those dogecoins on some exchange and "staking" it over there. But that is actually not staking. He is just lending those exchange/platform his coins and they give them back a portion of the profit. It's risky. You can stake coins that using proof of stake consensus. You can try investing in ADA and join a pool. All your coins that you hold will be automatically staked (and you can still spend your coins) and you will receive rewards after each epoch. The current APY is 4.9%.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitstarz Need help getting my deposit back/credited on: December 18, 2021, 04:10:43 PM
What do they mean by your "wallet manager"?  They are probably saying that the issue is on your side, but if you have sent the funds to the right address then they should credit your account because we can see that the funds are there on the wallet address you have sent. As long as you have followed all the deposit instruction, I see no reason why they wouldn't want to credit your account. Ask them what they meant by contacting your wallet manager and where the actual issue is.
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Playing with dices on: December 18, 2021, 03:42:11 PM
Not sure what you are trying to sell here, but no scripts or strategies in the long run will help you make profit. The house has an edge and will always win. And your calculations are wrong. You will still be losing money even if you move your winnings to a "vault" and keep playing with your initial funds, because you will be losing from your initial funds and before your profit becomes equivalent to the initial deposit, you might end up losing your money. And since you found a "way" to have a maximum loss of 15 (lol), then just use that strategy yourself.
1345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should you sell ethereum and btc to buy Solana/SOL? on: December 18, 2021, 12:02:39 AM
If you have bitcoin, then keep holding it. Don't sell your bitcoin for any other altcoin. Bitcoin will give you good profit in the long run. If you can afford to invest in Solana, then use your money to invest in SOL, not by exchanging bitcoin. I would say the same for Ethereum. Hold your Ethereum. Don't spend any of it. Eth2.0 and sharding is very promising. When those upgrades rollout, the fee should significantly go down to a reasonable level. People would be hoarding ETH before the eth2.0 launches. That would cause the price to go up (make sure you do your own research).
1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fear is not Real. on: December 17, 2021, 11:55:27 PM
True, most people lose their investment because they end up FOMOing or falls for FUDs. They panic buy at the wrong time thinking that they are going to miss their opportunity. Its good they have finally invested (even though they FOMOed), but the worst part is that they start falling for those FUDs and ends up panic selling everything they have invested, hence making a huge loss.
If there are no more new entries BTCitcoin will become more stable.
This is wrong. We need more people to start using bitcoin. The more bitcoin is used, the more stable (less volatile) it will be in the future.
1347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fundamental goal of bitcoin on: December 17, 2021, 11:41:54 PM
I have see in my research in many place that fundamental goal of bitcoin is to replace traditional currencies.

I am asking what is the fundamental goal of bitcoin. Is it
  • to replace traditional currencies
  • to provide alternative to traditional currencies
  • to provide freedom to everyone on how to use money

If number one is truth. There means bitcoin is deserving the fight is getting from government. Because nobody will fold hand for another person to replace him.
But if number two and three is truth. There means Bitcoin not deserve the fight is getting from government.
Two and three somewhat stands true, and this is why the government is trying to regulate it. They don't want people to have full control over their own finances.
1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My coins percentage down on: December 17, 2021, 11:28:31 PM
Even though the entire cryptocurrency and none crypto assets on the stock market price are down currently but the level at which my various altcoins portfolio crashed backward baffles me, please can anyone explain for me how the altcoins market works.
Altcoin market works the same way as the bitcoin market, but is more volatile than bitcoin. What coins have you invested in? Since your altcoin portfolio crashed very badly, I am assuming you invested in some random altcoins. The top altcoins haven't gone down a lot during this crash (went down almost as same as bitcoin). Only shitcoins and memecoins take a huge hit during this kind of crashes. If you have invested in one of those coins, I would suggest you to cut your losses short and invest in well developed coins like bitcoin, ethereum or solana. If you think the coins you have invested in has good potential, then keep holding. If they are good they will rise in the long run.
1349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Is HODL the only strategy? on: December 17, 2021, 10:38:02 PM
You are right. You can't stake bitcoin and earn rewards. Platform that allows you to "stake" bitcoin isn't actually staking your coins. They are just using your coins to perform their operations and they give you a return. More like you are lending them your coins, and they give you back profit. It's risky. Once you give it to them, you are no longer the owner of the coins. If they lose everything, you lose everything. So holding is the only strategy to make profit in the long run. It is the safest option too because in the long run, you will be making profit. Trading is another option where you can take advantage of the volatility. But you have to be very active and the risk should also be considered.
1350  Economy / Economics / Re: Transforming skill to profit. on: December 17, 2021, 09:19:52 PM
The purpose of the discussion is for forum users who possess one form of skill or another and are making profit from it to share personal episodes of how they turned "Skill to Profit".

Most persons learning a new skill are often faced with the big question/challenge of turning their skill to profit. After acquiring a skill, truth is if there is no platform for you to practice and offer your services and also make profit, you may become less interested and efficient with the skill you learnt and it may soon be forgotten by you.

Please share personal episodes of how you, a skilled forum member has turned your skill to profit, so other forum members who are in between can benefit from your story.

This isn't true. There are lot of platforms to practice your skills and offer your services. You just aren't looking at the right place. You can also sell your skills on this forum and make "profit" from it. Head over to the marketplace and create a thread on the Service child board. Make sure you make a proper thread and show what you have to offer. You might eventually attract people to hire you. Or there are lots of other website where you perform online gigs and get paid. Google will help you find the appropriate platform.
1351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should i buy? on: December 17, 2021, 03:15:55 AM
Buy coins that are currently trending. Like one user said, go for metaverse tokens. Look for those that are being actively being developed with a huge community. You will be making some good profit in the short run. If the trend continues and metaverse becomes somewhat mainstream, then you will be making a good profit in the long run.
Other than that, look for coins that are currently in the top and invest in those. Keep holding them and you will be making some sweet profit. You can also stake most of the coins that are currently at the top. So while holding you will be enjoying some passive rewards. BTC, ETH, SOL, ADA, DOT and MATIC are some coins I would suggest (do your own research!).
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is better to invest your funds in if the alt season starts? on: December 17, 2021, 03:07:39 AM
Let's imagine for a second that the alt season began in early 2022. What to do and in which market segment to invest your funds? NFT P2E or DeFi, or is it better to invest in tokens of promising blockchains like NEAR AVAX MATIC DOT ATOM?
Currently NFT and P2E tokens are trending a lot. So yeah, they might be good investment, but the risk is high. In the short run, you might make some good profit. But in the long run, if the trend dies, you might end up losing everything.  And yeah, it is better to invest in other promising chains. MATIC, DOT and ATOM are all good projects that you might want to look into. SOL and ADA are also two other coins that might perform very well in the future. Don't forget to put most of your investment in bitcoin and ethereum. Those two are the safest options for you.
1353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tell one good reason why Satoshi should come back on: December 17, 2021, 01:56:10 AM
It is possible, that Satoshi is/are reading all these bitcointalk contributions ... and although some pepole want him/her/them to come back, nothing happened.
Tell one good reason why Satoshi should come back. (good reason = improvement of Bitcoin)
There is no reason for him to come back. Bitcoin is a decentralized currency. If he comes back, people are going to consider him as a central figure of bitcoin. Anything he does or says will have a huge influence in the bitcoin market. And lets not forget about the FUDs that are going to be spreading when he comes back. I am sure some people will start panic selling because they will think Satoshi might sell his coins. Bitcoin has been developing well for decades without Satoshi. Other than knowing who the creator is, I doubt anything good or new will happen when Satoshi returns.
1354  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is still in a downward trend, will it last long or temporarily? on: December 17, 2021, 12:55:50 AM
From early December until now the downward trend in bitcoin prices has continued. bitcoin price has not been able to rise significantly after touching the ATH level of $68,789 last November. Until now the price of bitcoin is still at the level of $ 47,000.

Will the current downward trend in Bitcoin price continue? or the current price correction as a move towards bullish to set another new ATH record in 2022.
Of course it is temporary. Downtrends aren't something new. The bearish market will eventually end and the price will start rising again. Look at the charts. Zoom out and see the price. You will notice how the price goes down for few months and then goes back up again. In the long run, the price will go up. Right now, no one can tell us if we will reach a new ATH in 2022 or not. It may happen or may not. Don't worry about the ATH. Since the price is low, keep investing as much as you can and keep holding them long term. You will be making some good profit.
1355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Scripts on: December 17, 2021, 12:30:03 AM
Hello guys, I just wanted to ask as newbie if that dice scripts are really worth it? If all are just scams or there are really some scripts that work? Thank you for information.
Not worth it. Don't buy any dice scripts. You won't know what's coded over there. You wouldn't know if the owner of the script ends up stealing everything from you. Remember, in the long run, your profit/loss will be the same no matter if you use a script or not. If someone says that they have a script that will give you guaranteed profit, then that guy is just lying or trying to scam you. If the scripts would be making him only profits, then why would he sell it to you? He could just use it and make all the profits.
1356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you like to trading with meme coins?? on: December 17, 2021, 12:26:26 AM
Those meme coins are very volatile. The drop and rise very fast. You could take advantage of those volatility to make some quick profit. but remember, with those quick profit, there is also a chance to lose everything very quickly. I mean the risk is very high. I would suggest you not to risk too much on meme coins, just a little that you can afford to lose. Invest rest on well known coins. They are less riskier to trade. If trading doesn't goes well, you can hold the coins that you are trading and in the long run, you will make some very good profit.
1357  Economy / Economics / Re: Tonga will probably be the next country to make Bitcoin legal tender on: December 16, 2021, 11:56:19 PM
Legal tender means people MUST pay with Bitcoin, and that I disagree. I agree with a simple law that states people can freely use Bitcoin as cash or whatever means of payment. People should be free to use what currency they want to use or reject, but that's only exists in an imaginary country... Well, I'd like to see what the law really said before making further comment.
No, it doesn't mean that they MUST pay with bitcoin. They also have fiat currency which is also a legal tender. So it means they can also pay with fiat money. But this means that they receiver must accept bitcoin or fiat money because both are legal tender. But I don't see any issue over here. There are many gateway payment processor that will instantly convert the bitcoin to receive to fiat currency of your choice. The fees are also very reasonable (all POS also have fees, but customers aren't charged by the sellers) and easy to setup. Good to see more countries wiling to turn bitcoin into a legal tender.
1358  Other / Archival / Re: Are Banks afraid of Crypto adoption? on: December 16, 2021, 09:09:45 PM
The banks are not afraid of crypto adoption but they are following the government regulations so they depend on government orders if they need to integrate their system. Once the government asks them to learn about crypto for more, they will use their resources to know what crypto is and integrate it into their system. Maybe the banks are now trying to integrate their system but they do not tell the public about that because they wait for the government's instruction.
They are not waiting for the "governments" order. They just don't want to touch crypto currencies right now because of various complicated reasons. There are already few banks that has integrated crypto currencies and are in testing phase. More banks will eventually adopt crypto currencies as they are fully aware that these currencies are the future. They know if they don't accept crypto currencies, they will eventually lose their power. So embracing crypto currencies is inevitable. But do we actually want them to adopt crypto currencies? Because banks and decentralization isn't a good match. If banks take over crypto currencies, decentralization will somewhat be lost.
1359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Bitcoin a donation to everyone on: December 16, 2021, 04:57:08 AM
If someone loses his private keys, he no longer has access to those coins. Those coins are lost coins. Again, if coins are sent to addresses that no one has access to the private keys, then those are also considered as lost bitcoins. And yep, it is kind of a donation to everyone because the supply is limited, lost coins reduces the circulating supply even further more, causing bitcoin to become even more scarce which eventually will cause the price to increase. So everyone holding bitcoin will benefit from the price rise.
1360  Economy / Economics / Re: Did you realize in real life how Bitcoin gave us financial freedom? on: December 16, 2021, 12:33:21 AM
Everyone knows how Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency and gives us financial freedom. I am wondering how did you realize that in real life that Bitcoin gave us financial freedom? This isn't a question, this is curiosity.

When I realized? And why? Let's describe it shortly.
A few days back I went to the bank to withdraw my deposit. That amount wasn't much big though, but the bank just asked me many questions. And surprisingly all were fucking questions. They asked me why do I need to withdraw and where will I spend. This happened first time with me since I was abroad for a long time. Then I realize how Bitcoin gave us financial freedom. No one is there asking me the question to spend my fund. How fucking centralized banking system even you have to encounter many questions during withdrawal your funds. They are asking questions like I am beger. This was my real file realization of how Bitcoin gives us financial freedom.

What about it, when did you realize in real life Bitcoin is giving us financial freedom?
I was never asked "many stupid" question whenever I tried to withdraw money from my bank (I rarely do that). If it was a small amount, then why not use an ATM to withdraw funds. No one would be asking you anything. It's normal for the banks to ask questions when trying to withdraw mid to large amount of funds. They usually do that to make sure you are not falling for some kind of financial trap. As far as I know, banks have saved my elderly people from falling for such scams where they are told to transfer large amount of funds to another account. And bitcoin doesn't give you financial freedom. It just eliminates any third party people or institution from controlling your funds.
