The race for the first place this season might likely go on till the last day of the season. While Manchester City have been slacking in league's games lately, Liverpool on the other hand have been on fire picking vital points to close the gap between them. Their bet will be when they meet later, and the loser I think they will be left behind. Unless they can play a draw, it's likely the competition will get tougher. Coutinho is great but last thing we want is to add another addition to the bench. Also Coutinho is playing his role perfectly at Villa and Gerrard has heaped praises on couple of occassions so I think it is very likely that Villa might swoop him in triggering the buy option. I think Philippe Coutinho can be a great addition to the Arsenal squad, but for him to play effectively in the Arsenal team they will have to change the formation certainly. Because I don't think that the current formation fits him in the team perfectly. And if they are actually thinking about acquiring the player I think they will have to make some other changes in the squad. Otherwise, it might be just like the Coutinho we saw in Barcelona. The progress in Barcelona is incredible. Xavi has done a great job. Aubameyang has found himself, having his best period. Ferran Torres came to the club he was looking for. Arsenal is much stronger than Manchester United in terms of consistency and stability. They have a nice squad and the bonding between the players in the squad is very nice, their team performance is quite consistent due to the good bonding between the players. On the other hand, although Manchester United's squad is strong, the bond between the players is weak. So they can not consistently play well.
In terms of strength, I think they are actually balanced but what sets them apart is their performance and strategy. Arsenal appear solid with the strength of their current team and very far in contrast to what MU is doing now because indeed MU is now very chaotic in their cooperation and communication when they are on the field, now they don't seem to trust each other when they are in the middle of the field. so sometimes this makes it difficult for them to develop the game Man Utd squad comprised of individual talents without team work thus with individual style of play unlike Arsenal whose youngsters are talented as well as play like a team and very consistent in their performance in contrast with Man Utd erratic performance, Arsenal is undergoing some building up and transforming of team, once the team matured with signing of a quality and prolific striker Arsenal would be the team to beat in few more season to come, personally I think Man Utd need a complete overhauling and rebuilding of the squad if a new manager is appointed. |
