2341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 3 coming soon on: December 09, 2013, 10:17:47 PM
Now a simple question, what would you see in Bitcoin 3

For the love of god, change the name... We had plenty of problems with Scrypt Bitcoin. If you name it Bitcoin 3, the chances of me throwing a hissy fit are rather high.

looks beat to hell

Yup, which is why I'm not selling it for 3-4 BTC like pristine ones.

Can you provide more information?  This looks cool but where did it come from, how many are there?

It is a 2011 Error Casascius, the first run of physical Bitcoin coins produced by Casascius.

Here is a bit of additional information:

https://www.casascius.com/

http://casascius.uberbills.com/

http://casascius.uberbills.com/?address=1DtmMLhBQoiwUtdg18h7AFA4m57Vte3EGi

Just FYI, a good metal polish like Blue Magic would transform that coin on the face and around the edge, be careful around the hologram. Blue Magic also applies a thin, protective silicon finish to the metal. If it revitalized century-old bronze, a worn Casascius coin should be no problem.

I'm sure the tarnish could be removed easy enough, however I'm not going to do it myself, as that is generally frowned upon in coin collecting. When cleaning a coin, it removes mint lustre, which can damage the coin far more value wise than leaving the patina in tact. Whether that is the case for Casascius bitcoins, I don't know, but I'll let the buyer decide if they want to clean it or not.

BewareofDuck is my sister, and I am willing to stake my reputation on her business. For some extra reassurance, in case of a scam (which it isn't) I will refund any losses, so buy with confidence!

Just hit block 150k, I'll unsticky the thread in the morning.
2347  Economy / Goods / [WTS] 2011 1 BTC Error Casascius Coin 2.25BTC on: December 09, 2013, 07:36:40 AM
Hey guys, I've got a 2011, 1 BTC error Casascius coin for sale. If you want to own a piece of history, but don't want to pay 3-4+ BTC for a flawless one, this one is for you! While its not in bad condition, it does have a reasonable amount of tarnish on the front (lower left) for its age, and some scratches on the back holo. With the impending Casascius shutdown, I've got no idea what a coin in "circulated" condition will go for, so if you are interested in it, pm me or post an offer in the thread.

I will accept Bitcoins, mailed cash, or gold/silver

Any agreed upon price would include Priority Shipping with tracking, and Signature confirmation if you want it.

If anyone is interested, feel free to pm me.

I'm fine with escrow if you pay the fee.

2348  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAMMER] kslaughter on: December 08, 2013, 09:37:58 AM
oh god so many fucking cry babies around.. you need a bottle big boy?

Heh, I've notice VolcanicEruptor has been far from pleasant towards Mr.Slaughter in his allegations, however, businesses are supposed to be held a higher standard. You deal with your annoying customers, and make them eat their words with action. A business threatening to steal a customer's money, no matter how big of a pain in the ass the customer is not a good sign...

That being said, it could have been a mistaken post due to pent up frustration, however it is still worrisome.
2349  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bought bitcoins at 729 dollars on btc-e one hour ago but still didn't receive ! on: December 08, 2013, 09:33:19 AM
Hello, I bought 95 dollars worth of bitcoins about one hour ago at 729 but still did not receive anything. Will I receive the money or should I cancel the order and rebuy because bitcoins are now at 780 and going up.

It sounds like you placed your buy order at $729, but by the time you placed it, the price had already gone up, so its an unfulfiled order. On the front page, scroll down until you see this:

If you see your order in the, "Your Current Active Orders" tab, you can cancel it and get your money back.
2350  Other / Off-topic / Re: Guys, it's almost Christmas! on: December 08, 2013, 08:50:49 AM

There's so much joy and celebration.

What do you guys like about Christmas?

The best part about Christmas coming, is that it also means Festivus is coming  Grin
2351  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is everyone on ebay completely crazy? on: December 08, 2013, 08:01:39 AM
You also have to consider the risk involved with Ebay. People sell at a higher cost, to make up for stolen Bitcoins and hardware due to chargebacks.
2352  Other / Meta / Re: Can we get a poker sub-forum in gambling... on: December 08, 2013, 07:22:14 AM
Mayhaps a tad more general? Card Based Gambling games, and Table Based games in two different sections?

So Blackjack, Poker, etc in one section, and Roulettes and Dices in the other section? And then there would also need to be something for those that don't fit within those two categories.

It might neaten it up, but perhaps adding childboards to a childboard will cause more disorder than not.
2353  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BFL 60 GHS AND USB ASICMINER SELL on: December 08, 2013, 07:06:29 AM

2354  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Guns for sale! Black friday special: 1/2 price shipping! *Pictures here* on: December 08, 2013, 06:56:10 AM
Are the pricing tickers on these accurate? I'd be interested in a few of these, but some of your prices are over 200% markup. $600 for a tacticool 22lr that is $199 everywhere else, and $900+ for a 'new' (only some parts are new - and they're US made) Century npap AK47 that is $500 at every other major shop online.

Smart way is to sell at cost, for btc, and make your profit in btc's rise.

Actually BAC, the Bitcoin tickers have been acting a bit screwy since the forums started proxying images. For example, while you have your first gun marked at $1150 USD, the Bitcoin Ticker is showing it as like $1270. At this point until the gifs get sorted, the Bitcoin ticker tools are just a decent guideline. I noticed some of the things that I was selling started going wacky too.
2355  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BFL 60 GHS AND USB ASICMINER SELL on: December 08, 2013, 06:49:51 AM
no pasa nada

thepwnorbpwnd  you reading in the ad? bfl and usb asicminer not?
because there has photos sold everything else is read the other post

2356  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BFL 60 GHS AND USB ASICMINER SELL on: December 08, 2013, 06:36:34 AM
Quiero comprar sus ASICs pero, por que confiar tu? Si nos usamos escrow, tu no necesita confiarme, y no necesito confiar en ti. Lo hare pago por envio expresa.

tambien perdon mi espanol, soy un poco oxidado
2357  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BFL 60 GHS AND USB ASICMINER SELL on: December 08, 2013, 06:29:16 AM

2358  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BFL 60 GHS AND USB ASICMINER SELL on: December 08, 2013, 06:18:22 AM
Wait, so you are selling the BFL and the 100 Erupters for 3 BTC? If so, have anything else for sale to get us up to that 6 BTC where you will use escrow?
2359  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Any other Americans considering a claim against the FBI over SilkRoad? on: December 08, 2013, 05:16:48 AM
Actually, after thinking about it again, you may have a claim. I was just thinking about how I purchased some sunglasses, a fake rolex (as a gag gift) and a chainsaw off of the Silk Road, nothing illegal there. The argument that it is an illegal marketplace kind of reminds me of a flea market. You can find drugs and stolen goods at a flea market, however you don't have your money confiscated for shopping there, I guess unless you are partaking in knowingly buying stolen goods or drugs.

The question is, if you can prove you didn't use the SilkRoad for nefarious purposes, would you be able to get your coins back?

Why doesn't the Bitcoin Community have more lawyers?
2360  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: sell bitcoin miners on: December 08, 2013, 04:54:16 AM
I'd take the 50 USB miners for 1 BTC (You say 1.3 BTC and 0.02 BTC each) if you are willing to use escrow.

You are also welcome to ship to me first, as I have pretty decent trust, however I'll settle for escrow.
