2361  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here into passive investing (of their time)? on: February 14, 2023, 07:27:26 PM
I think a lot of you have some missunderstading not only in what the OP say and want, but also because HOLDING ITS NOT A PASSIVE INCOME.

No, I have no misunderstanding. Someone who buys bitcoin at $20k and sells partially at $40k, $60, $100k etc gets passive income, as he just has to click.

perhaps the most unclear term here is "passive investment", rather "passive income" perhaps. I certainly wouldn't call bitcoin holdings "passive" whatever.
if someone buys a house for $100k and after a year sells it for $150k. is it a passive investment?
also, after that final click, maybe there is some fiat profit, but what about the further growth of bitcoin? and what if in a year you can no longer buy 1btc, but only 0.8btc? is it then a passive investment or a missed moment of conversion to fiat?
for something to be called passive income or investment, I think that some kind of profit would have to come periodically without affecting the initial investment. at least in theory.
2362  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Mjesečna Analiza za Hrvatsku Lokalnu Zajednicu (Bitcointalk Croatian) on: February 14, 2023, 12:57:58 PM

Takodje vise aktivnosti vodi ka podizanju forum ranka, full member bas nema mnogo ponuda.

Can you share some traffic statistics from your site? Daily visits and country/demography for example.

Also, if you can explain the price structure?
I am not sure that I understand the header/footer places as far as I can see, you currently do not have such fields defined on the page.
2364  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC Silver and Gold on: February 13, 2023, 11:11:36 PM
I was thinking about purchasing small amounts of silver.

But if I buy precious metals, I want them in bars that come inscribed with unique serial numbers. To make them easier to track and identify in case of theft.

Is it weird for many gold and silver products to arrive with a paper card with a serial number. Yet the coin or bar will have no serial number. In which case, there is no way to prove it was yours if it was stolen.

The way the precious metals industry does things, make it seem like their process is not ready for prime time.

the difference is when you buy a raw (bars) product or a final product that has additional value due to the way and quality of the final production. that is why an additional certificate is issued as a confirmation of the quality of the workmanship and the quality of the metal itself.
any jeweller can easily melt your bar and put his own serial number. I think I read somewhere on the forum that one user has prepared the equipment for this and occasionally buys precious metals and makes his own bars.
2365  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan or advice. Collateral. 500€ 10 days! on: February 13, 2023, 05:35:11 PM
Sorry about the confusion, im giving the 200 dollars, because i need 500€

now I'm confused too. You offering $200 to get 500€?
Do you really understand what collateral is and its purpose?

Quote
I just added the nft because its at least something also

it's not worth anything. and you are also aware of that, because you would surely have already sold them if you had any buyer for it.

you bought those domains (20days ago) without any idea what to do with them, you were only guided by the story of how someone sold something similar for 50-100k. I would advise you not to get carried away with easy money, and also don't expect a complete stranger to give you 500€.
also, you invested money lightly in buying a domain, without a plan of what to do with that investment, which only increases the risk that you will spend the borrowed 500e on wrong way. So advice is spend only what you have in your pocket.

Also these 2 other domains, and some creepy Al, posting mainly for the first web3 domain. Any ideas what i can make of them? Saw some have been sold for 50k 100k $ because they had 4 characters..
2366  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: freewallet.org stole my 3 years of working 2023 on: February 13, 2023, 03:27:53 PM
i understand , but please don't do right now , because as i said , i will go a long with them , and if they keep asking for more , i will expose them everywhere
hope one of my customers will understand me and help me

OP, is there any update in your case?
In our communication over Twitter, they ask me for your User ID or ticket number to look into the details. will you share it so I can continue to press them?
2367  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scamming on USDT TRC20 Network with Proofs on: February 13, 2023, 01:12:36 PM
Therefore, I don't understand the title "Scamming on USDT TRC20 Network with Proofs" where he alleges I scammed him but how is that possible?

you are right here because there are no evident elements of fraud. everything is the result exclusively of OP's mistake.
it's another matter if you really have access to that address, and whether you want to return that money, but even if you don't return the funds, it's not a scam.

if we were to assume that both of you are telling the truth, I would conclude that you are both victims of the same fraud. you ibuddy122505 should check your devices because it is evident that you installed a hacked or fake wallet application that gave you the wrong (hacker's) deposit address. if you really want to find out, try to repeat all the steps and see which deposit address you will get this time.
OP also, if it's true what ibuddy says, there is a high probability that you or your client are a victim of some malware or clipboard virus. here you can find one of the discussions on that topic
You can also check if you try to go through a repeat process, of course, this time without final sending.

it is certainly good advice for both of you to scan and check your computers and devices and take it as urgent. my advice is to start with a completely new operating system.
2368  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scamming on USDT TRC20 Network with Proofs on: February 12, 2023, 11:29:45 PM
Thank you showing right user, I'm waiting still maybe he donates that money or refund me.

you don't need to ask for a donation here, it's just a question of goodwill, whether he wants to return that money or not.
definitely remember that everything is your fault.

But if he used that address in one of his posts after you mistakenly sent the amount then he has access to that wallet, so check his post history and see if he posted the address after you sent the amount or even recently.

@ibuddy122505 claims that he created that address only because of the campaign signature, but since he was not accepted into the campaign, he deleted the wallet. however, even after that, there are outgoing transactions from that address, which means that he still did not delete it. the probability that someone hacked his wallet is very small because there are still funds there. Hacked wallets are always completely cleaned immediately.

also, the claim that the address was created because of the campaign signature on Nov. 30. '22. It cannot be correct, because the address has the first transaction on "2022-06-16 17:40:45 (Local) 241 days 7 hrs ago".

Dear community, please be careful in cooperation with this platform.
They did not refund the fee asked for listing.
The deadline for registration was 24. December 2022.
Support and Listing manager 2 months are just saying - wait please, wait please - standard words of liars

I am waiting 1 month for refund the fees already.

Welcome to the club. did you do any research on them at all before making any deal?
If you check the trust page of their representative account on this forum, you will probably know about their fraud way of business

2370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VIVO - Masternodes, ASIC-Resistant, Secure, High MN Rewards, Decentralized on: February 12, 2023, 10:30:00 PM
We are still here. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

I don't have any optimism that something could happen here.
if you expect something in return from the community here, you would have to introduce yourself and state some direction where you think you are going and what your steps are.
also, you have to give at least some reasons why anyone would invest in a coin that has been abandoned for years. Are there any guarantees that it won't happen again when two people get bored of it or switch to another coin?
How can be Vivo considered decentralized when they depend on one (two in the best case) person?
Listing on two anonymous exchanges does not mean anything. scripts for such exchanges cost $100-$200 and apart from high risk, they bring nothing.

maybe I still have a backup of the Vivo wallet from the Masternode period somewhere, but I think it's a dead coin.

About your posting here, don't post several posts in a row, you need to merge all your things in one post.  Wink
2371  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some important threads on: February 12, 2023, 10:01:14 PM
You did a great job, collected all these threads, and posted links... maybe in some cases that effort deserves merit, but in that case, they would only encourage others to periodically publish a collection of useful threads.

have you ever clicked on the "more" option? Try it https://bitcointalk.org/more.php you will see that there is already a sufficient collection of useful information about this forum

2372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VIVO - Masternodes, ASIC-Resistant, Secure, High MN Rewards, Decentralized on: February 11, 2023, 11:28:25 AM
More Vivo news coming, including a new exchange!

@everyone Major news! VIVO can now be traded on StakeCube!

This is just news from supporters, as far as I've seen on discord, no one from the Vivo team is involved in these changes. how much can all this really be without the support of the devs?
I have not heard of the Stakecube exchange until now, although the links that are posted are very slow or do not load at all. I would not trust an exchange that has CoinZilla ads next to charts. Vivo is dead and there is no point in reviving it.
2373  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recommendations for Good Esports Betting Sites? on: February 11, 2023, 12:12:59 AM
No no, I was just genuinely asking since I wanted to try out the industry again. We got burned with another project before when esports wasn't managed properly, so I don't plan to enter that industry as an operator again, but I would like to try out some part-time betting tests just to see how the industry grew Smiley

I am not a big fan of esports gaming, but as I occasionally visit Bitsler, I saw that it is quite current. They are certainly one of the reliable crypto casinos, you can see what it looks like with them.
note, they still don't have many country restrictions  Wink
2374  Other / Meta / Re: What cause the donation closure thread of Yahoo on: February 10, 2023, 11:17:54 PM
I never before saw moderators contacted someone to remove Bitcoin address from their topic, and this should not be done selectively like you are doing.

Why would you see it? It was done in private, but they usually don't get contacted at all. They either go straight in the trash without notification or the person gets a ban but I thought I'd do the nice thing and nicely ask him to remove it rather than trash the entire thing. It's really not done selectively. I think everyone should be treated the same and people shouldn't be begging for money here. I would urge people to report any begging threads and we'll probably stop a lot of scams from happening in the first place.

as far as I remember, initially, yahoo only noted that his address for potential donation was on his profile page. although maybe he posted it later in the discussion, I didn't recognize his thread as begging.
@hilariousandco Do I understand you correctly, that actually the critical point in donation threads, whether it is begging or not, is actually the existence of a donation address?

maybe it is necessary to completely ban any charity and donor actions or at least define it more precisely, and I agree with dkbit98, this yahoo case seems pretty selective.

For example, I saw the charity campaign [AUCTION LIST] Auction for ColdKey victims launched due to a scandalous theft to raise donations for victims of yogg's cold key scam.
They even run a signature campaign [OPEN] Charity Signature and Avatar Campaign - Auction for ColdKey victims to promote such action in helping to cover losses caused by fraud with donations.

what is the difference except that there have not yet published the address for receiving funds? can this be considered begging?

don't get me wrong, I understand their all ColdKey victim's pain due to the loss and I fully support that action, but compared to yahoo's health problems, it's a cat's cough.
2375  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Charity Auction - yahoo62278] Bitcoin Romania Card - 100 RON in BTC on: February 10, 2023, 12:33:27 PM
I was sent a pm by hilariousandco asking me to remove my donation addresses, I assume asking is against the rules and I do not want anyone getting into trouble for me.

Although I do not know what rules may be broken, I believe it's possible that only you broke those rules, not RickDeckard too, unless he was contacted as well by hilariousandco. I think he can do whatever he wants with the money earned -- which includes sending them to you, although you do not show anymore a visible address for donations... Does this make sense?

There were many charity auctions in the past and none was stopped (although some were scam) for breaking any rule... Furthermore, there are also two more similar auctions active right now - [Auction]CYPHER HODL-SATODIME CARD CUSTOM ARTWORKS-proceeds goto coldkey victims, ⏩⏩[AUCTION LIST] Auction for ColdKey victims of the apparent theft⏪⏪. This makes be believe that such auctions are following the rules.

It's up to RickDeckard in the end but I think he should wait to see if he is contacted for cancelling the auction prior simply cancelling it...
Fair enough, I was not told I was breaking rules just asked to remove addresses. I don't want to see anyone catch any hell over me is all.

what nonsense is this?
I have my BTC address on my profile page, am I doing something wrong?
if it's not a rule violation, it would be good to hear an explanation from mods of the exact reason for the request to remove the address.

I do not know what is the nature of the promotional campaign carried out by that wallet to get all this number of users[1][2][3], but they have a long history of closing accounts without explaining the real reasons. We can say that they are selective scammers. Once you deposit a large amount, they will try to take your money.

[2] FREEWallet.org is a SCAM

Unfortunately, you can add one more fresh case of stealing money by Freewallet. account locking under the AML excuse has now become a common method.

and they still insist , they need contract , which i don't have , i think as you guys say , i  will ask my followers to spam them on social media

https://imgur.com/Sho7KTY

Can you share a screenshot of the email where they ask for contract details (with the insane demand for the client's passport) for transactions from Binance even after you pass verification?

in the meantime, they answer on Twitter https://twitter.com/freewalletorg/status/1623933848924065792?s=20&t=y9Dku_PcewWecr7zG-tIAA

If a user sent all the documents then the Freewallet team is reviewing them. If not, then we inform our users what's missing and wait for their response. We wouldn't advise speculating on this matter.

a purely uniform answer, they seem pretty uninterested in solving this problem.
2379  Economy / Reputation / Re: [new topic] LoyceV's notification bot on: February 09, 2023, 06:33:39 PM
I don't like the idea to link my phone number to my forum ID, and you need a phone number to use telegram.

you only need your phone number during registration (for that you can use those disposable fakes from the internet). after registration, you can completely remove the phone number and it will be completely invisible to everyone who contacts you.
It's fine if you want to get notifications from more devices and you don't want to be logged on to the forum on all of them.

I'm just looking at this notification bot now, maybe it's just a matter of habit, but this draft design is a bit difficult for me.

i wish i did some search about this wallet before i use it , i really don't know what to do , know i am very disappointed and depressed , i'm afraid if i ask my followers to spam there soical media account then they have reasoin not to give me back my account

and some people , other scammers how follow me , (people how crack my developments and re-sell it) will take advantage of that

I asked them on Twitter about your case, and this is their first answer:
