2362  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: December 06, 2015, 03:38:38 PM
From reading this thread theres not very many people at all that have 1 bitcoin . Roll Eyes

but some people have more than ~100btc
i think they are would not say if he was to have it because it is very risky
yeah true they are silent now, now many people who have more than 1 btc, its easy to have 1 btc
i sure, most of the old members of this forum have 1 btc

it's normal that people with a high coin count won't speak openly about owning for example 100-200+ bitcoins. right now 1 bitcoin isn't worth a huge load, but what will the price of 1 bitcoin be in 2030? then people won't even dare to say that they have 1 bitcoin because it's worth a lot.

You are right.
May be at that time, people may be answering to the thread of "DO YOU HAVE 100 SATOSHI?"
I believe by 2030 one Satoshi may worth some $1 or more than that.

I see this thread as motivation to many new comers to make some bitcoin by aiming their first full bitcoin.

I am not sure if in 2030 one Satoshi may worth 1$ or more, that's just your guess mate, or it's just your hope may be. I don't think Bitcoin's price will going higher such way in the few next coming years, i think the price will stabilize at some fixed point

I think satoshi will be the equivalent of 1 dollar eventually, I mean it just feels natural that way, as if at the end of the day it will all come down to that. I think satoshi may have predicted it in a way that when Bitcoin is full mainstream and worldwide, the unit of value for the daily usage of Bitcoin will be 1 satoshi, which leads us to the 1 dollar equivalence.

if 1 satoshi is $1, then 1 bitcoin would be worth $100,000,000. that's even for a fantasy a bit over the top. a currently shitty faucet payout of 1000 sat would be worth a month salary for some people.  Lips sealed
2363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Encouraging people to adopt Bitcoin. on: December 06, 2015, 02:48:25 PM
Bitcoin couldn't function on the scale that western union does, at some point, the business would get fucked over by the large swings in price.

when bitcoin is getting accepted and wall street level traders step into it, then there won't be much volatility left. instead of now we see the price go up and down some times 10-20% per day, we will see 10-20% price swings, per year.

i think you need big guys prior, the global acceptance of bitcoin, you need to increase it's value, or the "average joe" will not enter the market massively

or you need to do it via acceptance of bitcoin, like amazon or akin services, that incentivate those "joe" with a discount at the beginning

the impact of amazon, alibaba and ebay when they accept bitcoin will be huge. this will most definitely help convince the average joe to step in. only..... large companies such as amazon won't step in as long as nothing happens to the block size. imagine what would happen if they do accept bitcoin. each block will be filled instantly at 1mb.

2366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family? on: December 06, 2015, 02:27:45 PM
I've managed to get two of my friends to buy bitcoins. They get it that in the long run they'll benefit from it. However Most people are a bit skeptical about bitcoins. I think the main reason for them to be skeptical is, that they haven't had much contact with bitcoins yet. However time will fix those people. When there's a lot of people speaking about something that is too good to be true. they'll start believing it.

have you explained them everything about trading or also how the people can benefit from using bitcoin instead of paypal, mastercard and so on? and that it also allows them to use it as a store of value and that they in fact own their money?
2367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much had you lost with bitcoin and before it?Did you won? on: December 05, 2015, 01:58:43 PM
i only do trading from time to time. buying low and selling high has made me a decent profit throughout 2015. you will need patience for this, and definitely not be greedy. i take profits not too early, but i also not wait till the last moment.
2368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which will be more adopted in long run: btc mobile payments or debit cards? on: December 05, 2015, 01:55:29 PM
I think btc mobile payments is already started to get adopted and even i uses it a lot. But there is lots of obstacle bitcoin has to cross to get more adaption on debit cards and bitcoin ATM.

mobile payments are the future in general. i do everything with my mobile, especially now stores are upgrading their hardware to allow contactless payments. the more physical stores accept bitcoin, the more adoption we will get for mobile bitcoin payments.
2369  Economy / Speculation / Re: You guys, are all fucked! on: December 05, 2015, 01:50:20 PM
Ive been waiting patiantly for this crash so i can buy some coins, Expected anytime soon?

don't wait for the price to go down. you could have bought at lower levels if you bought a few days back. now the price went over $380 and it will most likely go even higher the comming days. buy whatever amount you want, just make sure you don't end up buying at the peaks.
2370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stable Bitcoin Price on: December 05, 2015, 01:46:59 PM
it's very unlikely that a higher market cap will fully stabilize the bitcoin price. a higher market cap can make the price more stable, but that's all that's possible. there will always be large players that will and can manipulate bitcoin no matter how big the market cap is.
2371  Economy / Speculation / Re: Weekend target $320 on: December 05, 2015, 01:44:05 PM
I was saying we will break 400 by the end of the weekend, but im going to go even further and say we'll top the early Nov. High by next sat.

now around $371 and $400 next week is very possible. we will not go back to $320 and even up to the end of the year.

the price went even over $380 today. kwukduck and his "team" haven't seen that comming i guess. if the price is stabalizing above $400 then we have done an amazing job. it allows us to create a solid support line above $400.
2372  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-12-04] Ukraine’s Largest Bank Helps Integrate Bitcoin as a Payment on: December 04, 2015, 11:48:49 PM
"Essentially, buyers can pay in Bitcoin while merchants will receive the payment in Hryvnias (Ukraine’s national currency) or Euros."

That is quite similar to the service provided by Bitpay and Coinbase.

it might be similar to bitpay, but it's completely different because it's done by a large bank. there needs to be just 1 bank to take the lead with starting rolling out bitcoin payment options. i hope larger european and us banks will follow. that would be a massive milestone.
2373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: paypal or bitcoin? on: December 04, 2015, 11:41:58 PM
With Payapl there is always the chargeback risk, so i prefer to use Bitcoin for my deals

yes. that's what sucks the most about paypal. the buyer has the power to get his money back after buying something + he also have the product that he had bought, which is now pure theft after the charge back. the seller is the loser here unfortunately.
2374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank??? on: December 04, 2015, 11:37:46 PM
even if there would be a bitcoin related bank that was offering interest rates for storing coins at their bank, i would never do it. i don't like a third party to have full control over my coins. that's against the nature of why i joined bitcoin.
2375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About to buy my 1st Bitcoin on: December 04, 2015, 05:10:48 PM
that's nice. keep them secure offline and start reading properly about everything. that's the best possible way of learning everything. if you see the high potential of bitcoin, you won't even think about investing it in anything. you just want to hold it Smiley
2376  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have .00000001 bitcoin. Will I be a millionaire by 2046? on: December 04, 2015, 05:03:56 PM
I don't think so, I don't see this happening.

Unless you start earning more bitcoins, I don't think you'll be a millionaire by 2046

Hahhah maybe not, if some one is gonna be millionair it will be me Tongue I will just do 24/7 faucets.

And maybe some signature campaign. We will see.

all people with at least 1 satoshi will be millionaire then. and if you own at least 1 whole bitcoin, you will be the ultra new elite of rich people. great dream!
2377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Weekend target $320 on: December 04, 2015, 05:00:52 PM
well, $320 is not that unrealistic, i only think we are much more in the state of seeing the price go up instead of down. my weekend prediction will be in the range of $350-$370.
2378  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: December 04, 2015, 03:41:36 PM
If you're going for bitcoin, that's an investment itself if you're just going to let it sit there.

It's best to do that with bitcoin if you only have a few

Waht do you mean with few bitcoin less than 10 bitcoins? Because I have that I just invest.

I can make mij 10 BTC to 15 bitcoin.
there are still risks when investing 10 BTC. I suggest holding it instead or using those 10 to trade around for profit Grin

holding all the bitcoins that you have is the best option. the value of these coins will only grow throughout the years. and you don't have to do anything beside having your coins in your pc wallet.
2379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why trading btc will make you more money than altcoins? on: December 04, 2015, 03:38:40 PM
because altcoin are less risk, and the return some time is greater than bitcoin, if you buy very cheap, actually this is the reason, you can buy very cheap a very large amount, where with bitcoin you can not

altcoins less risk? i wouldn't say that when altcoins are constantly losing most of its value in less than a day. for people who like to gamble, altcoins are the place to be. for a normal investment with long term potential, bitcoin is the best possible investment. short term wise bitcoin might not be ideal, but long term nothing can beat bitcoin.
2380  Other / Archival / Re: should i save btc for future? on: December 04, 2015, 12:43:01 AM
lot's of people here are lacking common sense. people find longterm holding boring. that's why they are looking for quick bucks. they don't know that the longterm will give them more profit. they have $-$ in their eyes. that's it.

I guess you also know these days new companies gets a lot of bump to their shares in the beginning and dump later
So short term holders make good profit while long term holders lose up to nothing. I am not saying this rule applies to all but this is very common now
Bitcoin is same. Got bumped a lot to $1200 in 2013 i guess and then dumped to around $400 in matter of days

the price was dumped from over $1100 to around $400 because no one was willing to support the price beside people hoping for a rebound. the rise to over $1000 was not a legit rise since. mtgox was heavily manipulating the price. that was the main reason.
