Knicks might be in 4th rank but the 7th rank is just 2 wins away from them. Julius Randle is the key player to this Knicks team which is why they are on the safe spot. He had been scoring like crazy and stepped up his game. Then there is Rose for support and Quickley taking up a notch for every game he plays. Knicks has a bright future for this young players. he is a bigger version of Steph Curry, this guy has suddenly become a great 3 point shooting. On the win against the Hawks, he was shooting 6-8 from beyond the arc, if he can be consistent with that, I guess Knicks will be a big surprise in the playoffs. They've already pull a surprised already by having a winning streak that put them in the 4th spot in a highly contested Eastern conference. And the top 3 of Eastern conference is on a losing skid, that gives the Knicks the edge somewhat. Knicks vs Raptors on Sunday, this is going to be good, I do hope that Toronto will play their stars against the Knicks and no load management for Paskal Siakam. The NBA is at fault here, they should not created this "load management" because it's hard to control it to be honest. A team will certainly find ways to preserve their players to avoid injury, especially when they are already guaranteed with the playoff spot, I think they should review this as there's a lot of criticism about this, they are making NBA soft, missed the old days, sorry.
I agree to that, it's not the players that are soft in this modern era, infact players are most explosive, can shoot deep threes, and even have the 250+ pounds body that can move swiftly, agile and fast. But it's the NBA itself for changing so much in-game decisions from regular fouls down to technical fouls. I remember Timmy got teched while sitting at the sideline for laughing at a referee's decision. Back in the 90's you can't get tech taunting and shouting at your opponent after a poster. You can't really compare era's though, maybe what the NBA has done is to really help the players with all this load management, but it seems it has back fired on them. Players and fans are criticizing it. Now the control is more on the officiating, teams can challenge a call, etc. There's a lot of changes now and the NBA has really evolved, but there are pros and cons about it. I Thinks people now this day are easily get offended with a simple gesture, meaning they get easily agitated mentally, meaning they are not been expose to the harsh environment, that they don't realize its part of the game, people in the NBA before are more mentally tough when it comes to taunting, and physical, but yes we can't compare those before the 90's era, because of the rules that are being put to protect the players and the nba. |

@wiss19, I think Curry could still get an MVP once their team will quality in the playoffs, they don't need to win a championship or be in the NBA Finals as Giannis had the same scenario in the past but he still won the regular season MVP.
Curry is on an improve level now, he can score 30 points easily, I guess that's his average now (Correct me if I'm wrong), and the way I see it, he is so happy playing and basketball seems easy for him.
As I have said before, Curry is on a personal mission to win the scoring title this year. Bradley Beal is still leading though, but let's see after this week, if Curry's incredible streak continues, he can have overtaken Beal and won the scoring title. I wouldn't say that he is on an improve level, he is really on his prime right now, 33 years old and carrying his team on his shoulder. Golden state might make it in the playoffs with this kind of performance of curry but, is the team management realizing that they are shortening curry's playing time in the league? if he will take the load of the team he might just 2-3 years before retiring, if you have a precious player you have to manage his playing time for the good of the team and that player, there is no sense of letting him play with nothing to loose then will be eliminated in the first round, that's a bit careless for the management. |

Nuggets vs Grizzlies double overtime. What a game! That was indeed exciting. They just went back and forth with the lead. Jokic exhausted but still making great shots for the team. 47 points 16 rebounds. 45 minutes of game time. Facu did pretty well stopping Ja. Barton with big shots and Dozier locking the win with his 2 high pressure free throws. Great night for the Nuggets fan. That was worth every dollar for the ticket.  That was a thrilling game to watch and with 2 times OT like that, you can say how intense was the game was and at the end of the game Denver Nuggets gets the win which they likely deserved it especially when you see how Jokic handle the last minute of the game.  I wonder when the grizzlies will put star players around ja morant, the team already have some decent players, what they need is 2-star players I know it been a long time since Randolph and paul Gasol days where they played in the playoffs, its just a waste if you will not take advantage of the prime of this player he still young and will improve more. |

Yes, that's correct. But lately, he had been mostly a shooting guard although he can still handle the ball and make the play which had been Barton's job recently. Now Durant. Damn, this is really a rough year for NBA. Stars are falling down and not twinkling anymore.  Perhaps the management should think of a better way to stretch the rest period of these players. They made the game softer and now they are exhausting their players to make more money. I know they are trying to meet a deadline but if for the expense of losing more players then is it worth it? I don't see the worth aside from the fast roi for those franchise, but for the benefits of those stars this recent injuries not only by KD but players like LeBron, AD and Klay not benefiting the fans at all. Adjustments should take place if the NBA management still caring for the future of this league and the future of all the players. Else, we will see more and more Players who will suffer from this.. This match really upset many of my friend that bet on Jazz that time. Drummond miraculously show a very strong game which is sufficient to shutdown a strong team like Jazz. Actually I was surprised too that Lakers perform that well without there Aces. Ggwp to the betlords who bet on the underdog Lakers that time. Jazz is really playing like a proper team, they are really good, with everyone on the floor they are going to be a huge threat in the NBA for sure. However I feel like it is not the league for teams anymore, it is the league for superstars. I mean look at teams, with Nets having so many, Lakers having 2, Clippers having 2, Bucks having an amazing one, Nuggets have Jokic (and had Murray), it is really looking weird. Look at Suns, they "look" great right? Anyone even doubts that they won't win it this year? I mean it is obvious that they are not going to win it this year, and yet they won so many games. Which is why regular season matters but not as much as people imagine it is, obviously most of the time best team becomes the first team, but that is not required, I remember plenty of times Lebrons teams finished under first seed and still went to finals all the time. Jazz are underrated, but the moment they won an NBA Finals, that would make this team so special. If you remember the journey of the Warriors before, during the time of Curry, Thompson, Green and other role players, you would not think they are a superteam until they won a championship, so for the Jazz, I'll give them a chance to prove because they are playing with a great team work like the Warriors did during their glory days. They are so balance thats why they have great chances to win the championship this season but lets hope that they will have a healthy rooster up to the playoffs since if their stars and role player cannot have a major injury well chances are even more greater. For now we cannot compare them on early GSW since they didn't have any championship won together yet. The only thing that I'm concern about is that how they are going to face a team like the clippers, or the lakers in the playoffs, those teams are more experience in the playoffs both have Leonard George, James Davis, these teams are the team to beat, if they can adjust with this team in a seven-game series then they have a chance to be in the finals of either clippers or Brooklyn i think. |

Instead of watching compete the main candidates to the NBA Finals, we will be watching the reserves match. The NBA must seriously consider reducing the number of games played during the season.
This might be the worst season for the NBA as the whole league has been bothered by major injuries and Covid. Though the Lakers and Jazz had a great game tonight. Jazz was able to pull a 15-0 run against the Lakers in the 4th to survive until the overtime. They even had a 2 points advantage at the stretch. However, they lost in the OT. Schröder just lead this Laker team to a W. Another notable injury for KCP. I don't know whether that was just a muscle cramps or a more serious case. I agree with it not a good season for almost all the players, they got injured and the atmosphere is really different, it might be because players are unable to go out and practice properly, which is needed by their body, instead, they have been limited contact in the offseason, I hope that the virus will end and to be able to make players have a full practice and to do their old routines that I'm sure are removed since the pandemic. |

It's either others will embrace the challenge or melt under the spotlight again. Zion Williamson has been going off lately, averaging nearly 30 points per game and his fg% is off the charts. This kid is having a major breakout season and it seems like nobody is talking about it. I think next year his stats will be so good that he'll start entering the MVP discussion, then maybe people will starting putting some 'spect on his name.

I am a beginner who completely wasted the opportunity to be a useful user on the forum.
