241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its too late to invest in Bitcoin! on: February 23, 2018, 05:48:40 AM
With the high price of Bitcoin, I think its unwise to invest your money in bitcoin at this point in time. Maybe it's better to look for other Altcoins being offered in the Market. What do you think?
It never too late to invest in bitcoin. You have to be wise in decision making you  are a new member of bitcoin you  need to work hard so that you can earned more money that you can invest. You need to ask some expert to help you more in investing.
242  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this basically just another way to make money? on: February 22, 2018, 01:01:46 PM
My start with crypto/btc was that I invested a bit end of November last year. I had a few friends that told me about their small successes and how easy it was to just 'start'. It was indeed quite easy. I started to read and research into btc and every other relevant coin. Whitepapers, teams and such. Then I started to shift focus to the block chain, starting to get a grasp on what could be the future possibilities. I started to get real exited and invested some of my savings in a few projects with (to me) real potential. None of those projects appeared to be alive because of speculation only, mainly because they have a vision and actual plans.

So then I noticed that there are quite a few documentaries. I started to watch them all. A few from 2015, 2016 and 2017. I was disappointed to say the least. Everything was about bitcoin and the value/worth of bitcoin. It was about highs and lows, crashes and deceit. Only a few times the actual potential of the block chain was mentioned. Mostly it was about money.

Right now I am starting to feel like this is just a way to make money. Nothing more nothing less. You buy into btc or other coins and in no way are you really supporting the project, besides maybe adding to the order books at the exchanges with some minor effect until whales decided to take over. I sometimes have some sort of dishonest feeling, like the money I make through buying (and seldom) selling is somehow dirty as it comes from people that simply do less research, bail out or simply already had their take.

I started with high feelings of morality, being part of some new future where block chain would be the next internet. Right now it feels like a rat race where you have to grab as much money as possible before others take it before you or from you.

Not that I am ungrateful. I like many projects because of the team behind it that actually want to change the world. But if I look around me, it is mostly those that are in it to make money, a lot of money....and this money has to come from somewhere right (those that lose money)...

What is your take on this? Is this all a phase, part of how this game works?
This bitcoin can be say as one of the easiest way to earned money. Working hard in bitcoin can be worth it. Jobless people are now given a chance to work with bitcoin and earned more money. Now I am happy that I earned money and it is bery helpful for my family needs.
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: coinbase scam? on: February 22, 2018, 01:19:43 AM
I would like to share a trading experience on coinbase. I am a international student here in America who just opened a coinbase account with my driver license recently and have an USD wallet activated.
After I deposited $10k and made few trades it suddenly appears a SSN verification which I do not have. Now they locked my account from sell/buy and withdraw money from the wallet. I mean I understand all platforms would require a identity certification and I would be super willing to cooperate if they can do that BEFORE people buy in.
It gave me a false lead to let me think a driver license is good enough to trade on the platform because apparently they did not stop me from depositing money in and even let me traded few times.
I called customer service few times and uploaded every document I have in America and they tell me I need to wait for an unclear time period. They say they are not responsible for any loss during the time the account is limited and user must take their own risk in the market. As a very experienced trader I totally agree with that but the situation here is that the risk is created by the platform not from the market.
Once I start trading I have right to make choices either buy or sell but coinbase deprived that right from me. I called them since yesterday 2/20/2018 and watching price went down but can't do nothing. Of course if it was going up I can't sell either.
From my perspective, they are violating their own rules to let people put money in then start to use those rules to make your money stuck in there. If they need a SSN to make buy/sell&withdraw, they shouldn't let people get in at the first place if they don't have one.
It will never happened to be scam. You just need to  learned and study it first and do some reseach. As far as im using bitcoin it never happened to me like that incident. There are some people who tried to hack and scam  but for sure bitcoin is Not one of them.
244  Economy / Economics / Re: Where Will The Digital Economy Take Us? on: February 20, 2018, 05:10:48 AM
What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?
The digital economy happens in our country will soon be the best and gives advantages to all of us.  More robots and newest technologies are invented in the future. It made our country more reunited and can easily talk and communicate when it comes to business also.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are they afraid of bitcoin? on: February 20, 2018, 03:41:19 AM
Every student of the political economy who understands the style of the work of the technique of Blockchain and Bitcoin BTC will be absolutely sure that the next alternative to the classical system is the digital currencies, which by their characteristics (speed - privacy - lack of costs - decentralization of the system ...) The foundations of political economy in all its schools, from Aristotle and Ibn Khaldun to Marx, Adam Smith and Keynes and finally with Friedman. These scholars, who laid the foundations of economic thought through money supply, can control the economy of countries and their economic policy.
In my opinion, Noble In the economy of this great invention that will change humanity and will throw our lives upside down in so-called Internet value ..........

Some of the people are being afraid of using bitcoin. They think that it might be scam.  They also think that they will waste their time using this bitcoin .But they are all wrong because it gives lots of advantages when you used it.Like easy transactions and communication .Giving jobs to those people who are really need.

246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin loses its popularity ? on: February 19, 2018, 02:49:44 PM
Right now there are more coins available in the market which gives you more profit than bitcoin.
Bitcoin price is also not stable.
All these factors affect its popularity ??
What you think, still bitcoin is more popular ?
It never loses its popularity ,Bitcoin is more popular since lots of country are been using it .It helps more  and it gives profit to all the users thats why they are widely useful to those country . And dont evver think that it will loose its popularity because there are many user who are involved in the bitcoin.
247  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is useless on: February 17, 2018, 04:15:55 PM
I am amazed with number of people being fooled with BTC:

1. Transactions takes hours
2. Fees are high
3. Development team sucks, uncapable solve scalability issues for years
4. Its not anonymous, every solution to make it, failed so far
5. Its centralized: who is biggest hash power owner? Who is biggest miner hardware provider? Who owns most of bitcoins? What is % of Bitcoins in coldstorage and what in exchanges ( Ye Mt Gox )
6. There is 0 economics for BTC, it just tight to USD with liquidity providers, cut that and try to value pizza box with just BTC
7. Its not store of value, its not digital gold, and it will never be 100k USD. Because it has no value. It has value only for energy probiders, hardware manufactures and random phils.
8. Its not insured, If some crap happened to your BTC, its gone.
9. Bitcoin has a limited supply, but it does not help much. Bitcoin has a code that can be amended and its enough of small group of people to work together to support that. Question really is: do someone need that hassle? No really. Bitcoin has satoshis, that currently meaningless and just nice numbers after dot, but this a very well painless way to inflate any crypto currency and its up to liquidity providers. Again it falls to point #5 and #6. Added on 24/01/2018

Such crap will never be used in payments, noone wants to support Terrabytes or Petabytes of data.

Its funny to observe how uneducated shills trying to make casual office landline phone to look smart phone.

BTC is scam of the century, stay away.

UPDATE 12/02/2018:

As this forum full of bots, I will emphasize one question from the user:

Ok, for all of you that insist that Bitcoin is not useless, tell me!

What do you use Bitcoin for?

Please don't tell me what it could be used for or how other people might use it. I want to know how you use it. Also, please don't tell me about trading or hodling. Those are not uses.

Hope to get constructive answers.

UPDATE 11/02/2018:

One by one, it becomes recognizable that Bitcoin at this stage is very useless. DarkNet, is the one who started one, and the one who will make a dump: https://cointelegraph.com/news/is-darknet-done-with-bitcoin

This is a very worried signal

UPDATE 30/01/2018:

Bitcointalk, and many other crypto related forums are heavily manipulated by bots, the amount of useless posts and conversation is just crazy. Even look at this thread, so much messages about "it will make me reach", "it growing", "I am going to be wealthy" so much manipulation, only in ponzi game this possible. It proves just on how bitcoin is useless, because 90% of people just copy paste message from bots, even not knowing basic fundamentals.

UPDATE 29/01/2018:
Few points were made here that are unfair:

1. Bitcoin is a first one, its revolutionary and so on and so forth, wrong, Bitcoin is a client that is build on top of practices that were developed and test long time before Bitcoin e.g. Proof of Work, Hashcash, eCash, bit gold, Merkle Tree, Peer-to-Peer,Byzantine fault tolerance etc.

2. Bitcoin is still in development and it needs a time and so on and so forth, really? its a 10 years old technology. Its usage is very easy predictable, no rocket science here. Scailibility problems were addressed long time ago. But like in every corrupted government, Bitcoin has biased devs, greedy miners and exchanges driven by capitalists. Why to care about tech? When everyone is just become wealthy on nothing. This is why its scam and this is how it become useless, because everyone only cares about price, not utility on day-to-day basis. Typical ponzi game.

3. Bitcoin is store of value, fake as is. Everything that has Blockchain underneath is store of value, Bitcoin is neither exception nor unique here. And again it has no value, because there is no utility. Remove exchanges from equation, and tell me how much BTC will be worth 1 pizza?

UPDATE 24/01/2018:

Everyone is amazed of why I called it useless, well, recently Stripe dropped support for Bitcoin payments. This is the prove of Bitcoin being useless. Stripe was not the only one in recent months to do so. It should ring a bell.

UPDATE 23/01/2018:

useless, guys the fact that some of you become reach and wealthy does not make Bitcoin useful. You wealth does not come from values that are used in propaganda.

1. Why I am still here? I believe there are technologies that are better maintained and lead than BTC, I prefer put money in something that bring value, has use-case and been used.
2. LN is panacea! Well not, so far its more dream than reality, no doubt it will be delivered in one or other way, but it will not solve all problems and so far it has more questions than answers.
It is not useless , bitcoin for me is useful. Thats why I continue working with it . I am amaze how it helps me with my daily expenses. It never failed and the way it helps others too. It is widely important since people now a days are been stayed in computers and they used it in everyday life purposes like paying bills aand many more .
248  Economy / Economics / Re: Your bitcoin experience, how did it started? on: February 16, 2018, 01:55:12 PM
I started bitcoin just a little while. But I heard about it last august. At first I was not convinced and I didn't think that I would be interested on such a business. But this month my friend brought out a brand new laptop and he confirmed that it was from his bitcoin income. So I was finally conviced and I made up my mind. It's okay for me that I won't make money wuick but I believe that waiting and posting and posting eventually will help me earn money. Thank you and have a great day.
As I started working with the bitcoin , I honestly say that I thought it was just a scam or a company a job that doesnt be trusted. But with the help of cousins he assured to me that this bitcoin is safe and secured . Now I was working by last year and now I can say that I was thankful with the earnings I received everytime I work through bitcoin.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dangerous ? on: February 16, 2018, 10:53:28 AM
i want to ask what makes the bitcoin dangerous? to the point that many countries prohibit the use of bitcoin in their countries. I want to hear your opinion
It never been dangerous specially we are liable and we do it properly while we are using it. It isnk risk to all the user instead it gives oppurtunity and help to everyone. This is very helpful when a talk about financial needs of my family and relatives also .When it comes to transaction it is fast accomodating and easy access.
250  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you ever been scammed? on: February 15, 2018, 01:49:48 PM
Can you share this experience?

If you say yes, what the project was it? Why did you believe in this project?
At first I am scammed by someone who does not trusted , thats the first time ive been experiencing it. Its about my first time to work with bitcoin and iI was be able to trust everyone but its not good that way we need to research every companies we want to working with and thats the lesson I've learned that i dont to happened again.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin important on: February 13, 2018, 04:46:09 PM
In my opinion it's important because it allows money to become like air or the Ocean. Something that just naturally exists in our lives (without being owned by anyone) and allows us to value things in our world and store wealth.

I think in the future the value will not be determined by any government but by the world economy as a whole.

As far as im using this bitcoin I may say that it gives fulfilment and feeling happy every time I work through it. Im happy because I earned money . This part of my life now since im a person who working with the kids and it is another way of giving me an additional earnings. Moreover we can used it for investment and business purposes. And lastly we may see this biycoin as part of our future generation.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can actually buy a lot of things with Bitcoin on: February 13, 2018, 04:00:19 AM
Bitcoin is just a virtual currency, but it is used as real money to buy many things. There are many people who accept Bitcoin payments for items, including online stores and regular stores. Popular online stores accept Bitcoins including Newegg, Overstock, Microsoft, Dell and more.

In the United States, there are Reeds Jewelers, One Shot Hotels, Holiday Inn, and even pizza locations, restaurants and more. You can even use Bitcoin to buy addictive drugs, gambling, bullion, or even donate to charity. This is the reason why I like BTC.
It can buy money to those country accept bitcoin .like paying bills and buying through online market , we can choose restaurants and pay it with bitcoins.Soon it will become the future moneynationwide who accept bitcoin  in paying such things.
253  Economy / Economics / Re: We need to do something about all the scams on: February 12, 2018, 01:02:34 PM
Hey there,

I am a blockchain developer and most of my work consists in auditing Blockchain projects, criticising their use-case and proposing solutions and guidances.
What really kills me is the amount of scams and useless projects based on economic scarcity, fomo and proof of stupidity (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1ZYGuJXBQE)

The reasons why we have to fight scams are fairly simple:
- Scams attract regulators
- More scams attract more scammers
- People invest blindly but if given the change to understand a project based on a professional analysis I'm sure many will think twice between sending those guys money.
- You know what is worse than exit scams? Shell projects that never get finished or have no traffic because their use case is pure BS.

I propose listing all the ICO scams here that can't correctly justify their use case, presumably scams:

* EQUI https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2888110.0
The guys weren't able to justify the use of their token and don't answer to critics and questions. More importantly they provide a passive return on investment which fails the Howey test (http://consumer.findlaw.com/securities-law/what-is-the-howey-test.html). They use their public image in order to attract suckers. Based on their use of proceeds they reserve 30% in order to develop the platform. 30% of 72 million to develop a react website with a postgres database and link it to infura (i assume they didn't even think about that). Laughable at best.
To all scammer they need to report immedietly so that it wont happened again. Its not fair to Us that they are just getting money from Us who actually dont work for it. Sad to say scammers are spreading out . And as we liable to our own accout we need to be aware with someone .
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as payment system on: February 11, 2018, 03:28:41 PM
We all know that Bitcoin is one of the best ways to invest your money. However, we know that Satoshi wanted to change money as we know it rather than new investment model.

How do you think, will we be using bitcoin as payment system? Or it will stay as it is and this bubble blow up one day?  Undecided

And how do you see it's future?

It will never happen to bubble blow up or disappear our country nation wide continue to discover fast and easy transactions inorder to make our life be better. This payment of system is much better wgich we used bitcoin sending and paying bills through online .
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Really End World Poverty? on: February 11, 2018, 01:12:57 PM
Can bitcoin really do anything to solve world poverty problem? Brian Singer certainly think so. He thinks that Bitcoin can bring minimum everyday earning for people more swiftly than any other economy system.

Is it possible?

http://www.forbes.com/sites/steveforbes/2015/04/02/how-bitcoin-will-end-world-poverty/
Not so, But it lessen the poverty of all countries who prioritize this bitcoin. It gives lots of benefits to all the people  if all the government being legalize this to their country.  And I may say that rich people now a days are those who become part of bitcoin world.
256  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: February 10, 2018, 04:41:36 AM
I recently paid for some local tacos using Bitcoin. My friend who was unfamilar with Bitcoin thought it was strange, like I technically didn't pay for them or something. We got into discussing Bitcoin and one of the questions he asked me was:
"Why would you want Bitcoins instead of cash?". For a second I didn't know what to say; then I thought about it and here is what I came up with. Feel free to contribute to this.

1) More security (especially if you are careful).

2) Bitcoins are a potential investment, cash is not. Paper currency only really goes down in value, Bitcoins have a lot of potential to be worth more as time goes on.

3) Fast, worldwide transactions at your fingertips.

4) Similar to #3, but it's a universal currency. It's legal in most countries of the world and you don't need any kind of currency conversion to send money to people in a different country than your own.
I can say that it gives an advantages when you go through bitcoin. The reason why bitcoin is bitcoin will go through the point that it will increase its value faster unlike when you are holding a cash. Another thing is you can your money and it is more secured.
257  Economy / Economics / Re: buy high and sell low. or hold which one is it? on: February 10, 2018, 03:46:11 AM
after this major price correction. i want to see what are your ideas on this. lets say you bought bitcoin 2 years ago. you notice prices were high at 19,000$ should u sell or continue to hold? what are your thoughts after this huge correction?

it is probably too late to sell after holding since the 19000$ correction.
Be wise when you are going to buy and sell. It is wise decision if you choose to buy in a lower price then sell for a higher value.  You will never loss, since your doing the right. Holding is much better since want to earned a bigger value dont just go and go just think wisely.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want to Buy with Bitcoin? on: February 09, 2018, 02:03:07 PM
Reading a lot of New Year Resolutions, and I can understand many of you here have some resolutions that involve crypto and bitcoin. Maybe you want to earn a bitcoin, multiply your  bitcoins or become a crypto millionaire.

So here is one similar question that does not necessarily has to be achieved in this year.

What are the things you want to buy with bitcoin?
Whether its a House, your favorite car, a yacht, a jet or a ticket to Mars. Whatever you dream, list the things you want to buy with your bitcoins (crypto).

I will trade and invest and buy my new house and lot for future safety and security. I want also to have my own business. Which could help me.earning lots of money. And somehow save some of it so that I can used it for emergency purposes.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: February 09, 2018, 07:55:23 AM
Just imagine selling your $259,900 house for 43BTC and 2 Months in street.

and after just 2 months sell 43BTC for $498198.

Again buying the previous also you will be in profit of $472298.

would you try this technique.
Very risk when you sacrifice your own house by means of investing. You can try an alternative way to get some money for investing . Its very delicate  , you can try to borrow some moneg to your relatives instead .  If the case that I have lots of house I will try it but if I only have 1 , I will not do it.
260  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't worry, the market will not fall forever. on: February 09, 2018, 06:29:02 AM
The fall and collapse of the crypto-currency exchange rates do not scare investors in comparison with December 2017, but rather vice versa - new crypto funds are launched in the US and Europe. Offering the Swedish exchange Nasdaq Nordic exchange-traded note for bitcoin and ETH, Coinshares Group is launching two new funds: "Active" and "Large Cap" . The first offers a fairly aggressive strategy for investing in promising cryptocurrencies, the latter uses a more passive strategy and a wider basket of digital assets.
If you are in a position - hold.
If you have the finest money - buy in parts.
Everything goes to the fact that in May we are expected again the rally
Of course it will never stock to lesser amount. Soon it will raised into a higher value , Just wait let see how it increased dont get panic or think that it stay to that lower price be more positive and think that it is normal..
