Is there a place to track the court hearings? I know someone posted an audio bit last time, however I believe there was suppose to be another hearing taking place a week or so back, is there any new info here?

If you want the information direct from the source the way to get it is to sign up for a Pacer account.  That is where all the documents and audio of the hearings get posted.  The main case number is 14-30725 in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California.

You can also some times find things on archive.org but you would have to wait for someone to get it out of pacer and put it there using recap.  https://archive.org/details/gov.uscourts.canb.522575

The latest status is that Hashfast has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and the next hearing is June 27th
242  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 08, 2014, 03:30:51 PM
Anyone know how to properly file objection to the limited service of notice order motion?
This is the court's website: http://www.canb.uscourts.gov/

Can I sent the objection by email, or only by postal mail?

Also, is anyone already in possession of the list of creditors, other than the 20 largest creditors, HashFast has to provide?
How can I make sure I will be on that list?

Thanks.

The full list of creditors is due 14 days from their ch. 11 filing, if they don't get an extension.

You might try phoning the court clerk on Monday to see about how to file an objection.  It would be good if you could post a standard letter for the affected folks.

We should suggest to the judge that a good compromise would be to only have to notify the other creditors via email.  That throws out any argument of added expense and we know they sent us all plenty of marketing email w/o a problem over the past 10 months so it shouldn't be an issue.

well to late i guess...web site says "sold out"

Searing

Yep...saw that...

When should be next batch available...? ...I could use some... Wink

We are expecting a shipment early this week and should have more ready to ship by this Tuesday.  Will update here and on the site when we are back in stock.

Edit: When we are back in stock the first 30 orders to use the coupon code "BITCOINTALK" will get 8% off any number of Gigampz boards at checkout.

Ordered one of these boards directly from Gigampz for $40 and picked up a power supply from an eBay seller for $17.
Order date was 5/30/2014.
Shipping was FAST!  It's been sitting on my "bench" (currently the dining room table) for a couple of days now.
Power supply arrived today, so I took the couple of minutes to plug it all in.

First observations - the Gigampz board looks nice!  Components don't have that sloppy mass produced look and the power socket fits snugly and evenly on the back of the power supply.  It is extremely EASY to use.  Plug it in, screw down the wires, add power, move jumper, done.

The HP power supply is much smaller than the two LED supplies I was using, about half the size.  So far the fans are also quieter.  We'll see how that goes as they day gets warmer.  So far with the S1 overclocked to 393.75, I'm seeing 453 Watts of draw.  The two LED supplies would draw 460 Watts at the lowest draw and were typically up around 472 Watts.

Now, I could have soldered the connectors on to the power supply myself and saved the $40 but sometimes you just want simple and easy.  Plus, if the power supply dies, it's just the cost of the supply, unplug the old, plug in the new.

Now, as a cost comparison, the price with the board and the power supply is the same as the two LED supplies but it is much more efficient and smaller.
Compare that to the cost of a decent ATX power supply and you're probably ahead of the game.

Nicely done!

Thanks! glad you're happy with the board, we work hard to make a top quality product.

There are two sworn affidavits filed with the bankruptcy court stating that he was trying to dispose of the company's assets in a shady manner
Digimex is the first, but what is the second?

Barber is/was (but maybe I'm wrong) the majority stockholder of the company. It's impossible to argue that he wasn't completely aware of whatever was happening.

see here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262052.msg7148695#msg7148695 I believe the second was from liquidbits itself where they stated the Hashfast's CFO told them that the company's accounting was in shambles and millions of dollars were unaccounted for.
246  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 07, 2014, 11:29:57 AM
Congrats on the deadline for their plan set at 4 months from now!
The only people whose interest lies in a delay are those that have pillaged money/bitcoins, and who want time to help cover their tracks.

What makes you think Simon isn't part of the group pillaging?  There are two sworn affidavits filed with the bankruptcy court stating that he was trying to dispose of the company's assets in a shady manner that would have benefited him personally and he was one of the founders and executives at the company from the beginning.  I think it would be naive to think that Simon isn't just as complicit in this mess as anyone else in a leadership position there.
247  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 06, 2014, 07:07:44 PM
Most of HF's customers have no idea about the bankruptcy at this point.  I've received no communication about it.
I have a hard time believing that the lawyer that answered the complaint to the AG's office billed more than $25,000 AND I am positive his firm would have taking a retainer up front before starting work.   AND they are on the list.
It is likely the Trustee will pick the committee that will vote in all the creditors' interests from this list (likely 5, 7 or 9 people) so it is important that these creditors actually have similar interests to you OR that the list is actually correct (remember HF puts the list together and they have had a lot of turnover so mistakes could have been made) and is not just a list full of "friendly" voters that are aligned with one camp.

The law firm that wrote the letter to the AG is also the same firm that was handling the federal lawsuit against them in CA and also handling the numerous arbitration hearings that were going on.  To me the most obviously troubling entity on that list is "Strategic Counsel Corp."  otherwise known as Adam Ettinger Hashfast's in house counsel whom Simon and Edward have known for a long time and I wouldn't be surprised to find he was an investor of some sort in the company.  I swear I saw him associated with them on that investing website angel.co as some kind of seed investor but now it just lists him as their lawyer.
248  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 04, 2014, 10:09:37 PM
We were expecting to see that yesterday but they seem to have failed to file anything of substance.

Par for the course from them unfortunately.
249  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 04, 2014, 02:51:34 PM
They were served the 13 of May, so this is the twenty-first day...
Is there any news about what will happen to HashFast LLC? Apart from the judge saying that he expected it to be putted into bankruptcy as well, I haven't seen anything written.

Okay, so they moved to convert to Chapter 11.  So at least that's finally completely settled.  They will go into Chapter 11.  But no plan yet.

They say they have over 1,000 people to notify in case - presumably mostly creditors - and are asking the judge to allow them not to notify everybody of everything. They want to limit notice to the court, the lawyers, the companies and people who are named in the suits that have been filed (the "creditors mailing matrix"), its 20 largest creditors, and various government agencies with an interest.  Just sayin'.  I'm pretty sure anything important will appear here.
I am not sure that means what you think it means.   Let me check.   I would assume they only want to make public the top 20 but everyone needs to be informed in these cases so they can exercise their rights to vote and appoint a committee to represent their interests.

Maybe I missed something but seems to me that the Delaware based Hashfast is notably missing from any mention in these documents.
250  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Gauging interest in server rack mining frames (for DIY silent mining racks) on: June 02, 2014, 01:32:05 PM
Realistically do you think you will be able to offer a more economical solution than just going on eBay and getting a standard half rack for $100-$200?
251  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 02, 2014, 11:25:18 AM
So when will this court be ended, when we know more? Please update me the next summary what is going on. I cant follow the tread..

Everyone is waiting on Hashfast to file their Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan with the court.  The deadline for that is sometime this week.  Depending on what the details of that are will dictate what happens next.  There will probably be several more weeks of this drama at minimum.

Great, i just got my magnifying glass (X2-X5)lamp (thanks to phillipma to point it-great lamp), soldering kit, multimeter, infrared temperature reader (mostly for S2). All ready to go-will hopefully have fun during the weekend. This is more permanent than pencil mod, so has to be done carefully.

Put POTs.

pots? i am not a gamer...

A POT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potentiometer) is a fancy name for an adjustable resistor.  If you've seen the threads about pencil modding the S1 to get it to run more efficiently this is basically the same idea though I imagine they are going to try and over clock instead.
253  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: May 30, 2014, 08:57:18 PM
I doubt customer liabilities are over $10 million, but I don't know how bad it is in total. I'm sure it's bad though.

I don't doubt it.  We know for a fact that Liquidbits alone is owed $6 Million.  The other customer creditors in that court room were owed at least a couple million between them and that's just the people who have seen fit to get a lawyer.

She was shown financials that put X value on assets and hadn't accounted for all the liabilities, because those were the numbers that existed at the time. The value of a chip over the last few months has a lot of room for debate. The value of a gigahash has plummeted rapidly. Very few rank and file people at the company had a grasp on the economics of mining. Hell, most people who are miners don't have a grasp on it. For the most part I would say top management and some of the core tech team does have a pretty good grasp on it. But they had a certain overestimation of how strong their lead was and what the company could really pull off with the cash from preorders.

So previously you indicated that you were sure this wasn't fraud and now you are saying that rank and file employees were shown phony numbers to get them to go out and make statements that the company was doing well.  That sure sounds like fraud to me.  In fact that sounds like exactly what Hashfast has been doing from day one lying their butts off and deceiving customers.

Apologies for the delays on this one guys, will likely be another 9 days or so before my review goes up. Teaser:

Wow, that is a really nice photo, excited for the review.
255  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio - Shipping from stock on: May 30, 2014, 02:41:39 PM
I need some information on the following problem:

You host your sp10s at a DC and get one free IP.

Is there a possibility to asign different ports to the units through the web interface or ssh?

This would allow you to control multiple units with only one IP-address (as IPv4 adresses are expensive/limited).

I know that usually the ports can be set through the router (or am i mistaken?).

You would probably want to get a router that does NAT and VPN then have your miners on a privately addressed network behind the NAT.  if you need to access them remotely you VPN into the private network.

Who is Sadikis?

He is Hashfast's bankruptcy lawyer
257  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (235 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: May 28, 2014, 01:34:20 AM
since will and terra are doing the full scamfast experience with the silence.

im rather curious to see if anyone brought enough shares in this scam venture to think about suing the crap outta licedrill

With as badly as this venture got screwed by Hashfast's late delivery and flaky product is there even any profit yet to pay dividends with?
258  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.422 BTC for 180GH/s on: May 27, 2014, 09:17:18 PM
the only restriction is I have to stay under 800 watts. I have to make them run quietly.   they do run pretty quiet .  I think I will order 2 more s-1's today or tomorrow

One of my S1s came with a broken fan, I replaced it with a push/pull pair of Corsair AF120 performance edition fans (30db) and I must say that that miner runs at the best hash rate 205.6 and the lowest temp - by 3-4 degress, and is by far the quietest - over the others. £25 for the pair. Bitmain promised to ship a replacement fan with my next order.

thanks.  If I see them on sale here I will grab some.

I have found that on my over clocking the gear has been pretty loud.

but on my under clocking  I have a corsair vortex and I have the stock fan.  the stock fan runs under 1500 rpm and it is quiet .

but testing new fans is cool with me.

I dont really get the underclocking stuff if I'm honest Phil, I need to max the income from these things before they become useless... Happy to be enlightened however...

If you're looking for inexpensive high quality power supplies for your S1 check out this thread.  You can get your power supply costs down to $35 or less per S1.

259  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Two Antminer S1 on One PSU on: May 27, 2014, 11:52:32 AM
I consider underclocking / undervolting my antminers. This should enable two antminers to run on one PSU. Problem is that my PSUs only have two PCI-E connectors.

May I use some of the other connectors? Can I cut off the end of the CPU connector and connect three of the yellow cables and three of the black cables to the corresponding slots on the miners?

You can get one of the DPS-800GBA 850 / 1000 Watt Server PSU's and a Brakout board for it for $67 shipped and then use regular size 14 AWG wire and easily power two ant S1's on any clock speed.

Check out this thread...

260  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Save 50% on PSU Costs w/ Gigampz: Breakout Board for DPS-800GBA Server PSU on: May 26, 2014, 10:42:17 PM
so   what does a pair of s-1's clocked to 393 freq  hashing at 400gh pull on a k-watt meter?    120 volt measurement please...  do you get 800 watts or do you get more like 840?

Very nice analysis of the PSU cots power usage trade offs, here are the measurements...

Using a Model P4400 Kil-a-Watt meter these are the numbers I get...
With no load on the circuit my kill-a-watt reads 122 volts.

Stock clocks; 2 Ants...
volts: 118.3
amps: 6.76
watts: 797

Over Clocked to 393.75; 2 Ants...
volts: 118.3
amps: 7.54
watts: 889

Over Clocked to 393.75; 1 Ant...
volts: 119
amps: 3.74
watts: 442  (about 4% more efficient than the dell you reference)

Overclock Settings...
"""
option 'freq_value'     '5f05'
option 'chip_freq'      '393.75'
option 'timeout'        '36'
"""

thanks for info
so it is close decision  if you want 6 s-1's

If you are looking for the lowest possible PSU costs per Ant you can skip the 6-pin cables which are pricey and just use a few simple lengths of size 14 AWG wire since the S1's all have screw terminals.  Also if you are willing to pay in BTC and ordering multiple items then email us at sales@gigampz.com and we can probably knock the price down a few more bucks as well to the point where the decision might be more clear cut.
