241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Several Factors That Can Affect Cryptocurrency Prices? on: May 05, 2020, 12:08:06 PM
as we know, that the price of cryptocurrency fluctuates, sometimes above and sometimes below and certainly not unexpectedly. on the one hand There are several aspects that can affect the price of cryptocurrency currencies.
and Some factors that can affect the price of crypto such as:

1. Supply and demand
The supply and demand of all types of electronic money will affect the price. Electronic currency has a lot of supply, but demand is less, prices cannot be raised. While electronic currencies have limited supply, it is expected to see prices that increase significantly

2. Utilities
Utility is one of the most important factors when searching for electronic currencies and making investment decisions. If electronic currency solves a problem, that is, it is very useful, but it is not reflected in its price, such money is still underestimated. This is a good indicator, even if it is undervalued, but once the market begins to realize the importance of such coins, chances are the price of electronic currencies will increase.

3. Psychology
Market Positive or negative market news can also be a factor in deciding whether the price of electronic money rises or not. The reason for this is that, depending on market news, the perception of the value of the coin can change.

4. Mining problems
Increasing mining difficulties mean that it is difficult to increase the supply of coins of this type, compared to increasing demand, which can cause the price movement of electronic currencies to rise. This factor requires that you have technical knowledge about the types of coins you want to invest because this can play an important role in future price movements.

I think these several factors affecting cryptocurrency prices are interwoven. In addition to what other respondents have mentioned, government policies is also a major factor.  Cryptocurrency have lost some ground and slow in adoption because of some policies of government of different countries against or not in total support of it.  If government of some countries give room or more rooms for the thriving of crypto, definitely the price is going to improve and vice versa.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi Network is gaining traction rapidly, is it really worth mining? on: May 04, 2020, 09:34:59 PM
The project Pi network has been growing its user base on a very rapid pace. is the project really worth mining?
over 3 million App downloads and over 100,000 users applying to run a node is not something which we can ignore..
https://www.cryptotapas.com/pi-network-app-ads-and-nodes/
What you think??
Your thoughts are appreciated.

I don't understand the kind of traction it's really gaining.  Some users have confirmed it that it's a waste of time.  I have even uninstalled the mining app on my phone having mined some amount.  I don't think it has any worthy prospect, just a hype.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockburn, A big Failure on: May 03, 2020, 12:21:50 PM
I've never seen a big failure project like blockburn this year so far, in 2019 when this project was released it was trading at a whopping 0.93$, and after bounty was over, without sending any token to any bounty hunter the value is now 0.00007$, this will be the first failure project I promoted this year, the use case is something that should work as per my research but the question is, what happened? Exit scam? Or team dumped?

This and some other projects were highly rated by the high ranking users of this platform.  It was said then that because of the integrity of the bounty mangers of this project, it is very legit.  Unfortunately, this happened.
Without paying any hunters, and the price become useless like this, definitely it must have been dumped by the team members themselves and probably few investors also.  This is very unfortunate.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all that glitters are gold on: May 03, 2020, 11:57:01 AM
Lol, I'm not surprised, even many high ranking members on this forum said blockburn is a very good project, it can 3x or more,  Grin Grin crypto is indeed a craze haven, I know that BM, she is so rude like you said, you ask too much question you will get the biggest insult of your life  Grin Cheesy

Exactly, many users on this platform rated these projects especially Blockburn very high along some others which I don't want to mention name.  This even gave some assurance considering the integrity of the BMs handling these projects. Unfortunately it turned out to be like this.  I have long discovered that IMO is more of a scam than true, I stopped participating as well as deleted their app.  I think scammers are just getting more professionals everyday.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Futures on: May 02, 2020, 02:35:13 PM
There are lots of cryptocurrencies and lots of coin but everyone can't make a future.  10 years ago bitcoin started their journey and they reached there goal!  But no other coin is  like them because they starts their journey for profit not to making them worldwide!

For every project with purpose and problems to solve will definitely make it in the future even if there are lots of challenges now, just a matter of time.  All projects that are after making some profits without developmental road maps will definitely ends in deadlock.  Cryptos such as BTC, ETH, XLM and some others definitely have good and reliable future.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Think before joining any campaign on: May 02, 2020, 09:59:40 AM
I came across AZBI network bounty few days back and I bookmark the page so I can join later and that will be my first bounty on this forum but I noticed a lie about the project, below is the link to the project

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5243303.0

It's said they are listed on the bounty thread but after going to the exchange where thy claimed to have listed (UNISWAP) I can't find any token called AZBI on the exchange platform, even the second listed exchange called Bamboorelay has no single volume at all.

To me this is a very poor bounty project, they used uniswap name to deceive those who are too quick or haste to make money, there is no demand for this token, it's a dead end, I'm glad I spend my time doing few digs if not I would have joined the campaign.

A good lesson learnt here

Eyah! Sorry about that buddy, probably it was new to you because you're a newbie, now you're learning.  That is just one out of thousands scam projects out there.  They help you waste your time, energy and other resources like money in case you succumbed to their gimmicks and invest.  Look well before you opt in for any bounty, because many of them are shit nowadays with nonsense promises.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good time to buy some alt? on: May 02, 2020, 09:18:36 AM
We are closing to the bitcoin halving event and the orice has already startes to act to the event as expected. We may now see a significant increase in BTC price as well. Is it a good time to invest some money on some altcoins, obviously on the top altcoins only.

Depending on the purpose or pattern of plan of investment whether for short or long term investment.  One can invest or buy some good alts at any time. But preferably it better to buy them when the market price is really  down, I mean red rather than buying when there is bull run or when the price is very high.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers in a top exchanges telegram groups on: May 01, 2020, 07:14:06 PM
This is for all newbies and those who don't know, please share among friends

Every single telegram channels or groups of crypto exchanges are tagged by scammers, be extremely careful

The moment you have a problem with an exchange you will instantly get messages from people claiming to be team of the exchange, you can get the following messages

1. How can we help you?
2. What problem are you facing on our exchange?

They will pretend to be the exchange help service and they will ask you to make deposit to get your issue resolved, honestly if you aren't familiar with scammers you can easily fall victim

Group channel of exchanges like binance, kucoin, Okex, huobi are full of scammers waiting for people that needs the team help to resolve an issue, be wise

This is very common not even on top exchanges telegram alone but also on the bounty telegrams.  I have received a lot of private messages from scammers claiming to be an admin from a particular project or the other, once I see them I block them immediately.  Recently a scammer messaged me and said he wanted to help me with the challenge I have with Bcnex exchange, I knew he was  a scammer when he asked me to transfer a particular quantity of BTC if I want my transaction to be resolved fast.  There are just whole lots of them.  However, if you look carefully their telegram usernames will have a minute difference from that of the real admins.  Newbies should be more careful.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cuba opens its own exchange on: May 01, 2020, 04:00:39 PM
Mario Mazzola, creator of the lightweight BTC wallet Qbita, launched Qbita Exchange, a peer-to-peer (P2P) Bitcoin exchange built in Cuba and Cuba alone., the first decentralized Bitcoin exchange in Cuba.

He said: I created Qbita Exchange because I always believe that here, in Cuba, BTC is a real need. Mazzola said that Qbita's development was entirely due to word of mouth: "We did not invest in advertising."
And in order for Cuba to keep pace with other regions of the world, the country needs many tools to buy, sell, use and store BTC easily and securely. “Qbita solves all these problems

Qbita developer is currently building a payment gateway for businesses that want to start accepting crypto. This initiative has not been implemented yet because e-commerce is still in its infancy in Cuba. However, money transferred from abroad is a different story. Mazzola said: “Qbita is the perfect platform to handle money transfer and I'm not saying that mathematics does it. If we compare Qbita with Western Union, a Cuban-American who sent US $ 100 from the United States to his wife in Holguin, she would receive about 95 CUC [Cuban peso conversion]. ”

Mazzola explained that if the transfer is made in BTC and the recipient sells it on arrival, he or she will see the net profit from the transaction, since BTC is sold at a high price in Cuba.
And while the whole world is going through tough times, Mazzola remains optimistic about the future of both Cuba and the cryptocurrency.

This is good news for Cuban traders.

This is a good news to hear for all of us and the Cubans.  Establishment of the new exchanges are welcoming idea, but they must be good, reliable and trustworthy for everyone to trade.  This could actually propel the interest of the Cubans more in their crypto adoption.  More good news to crypto industry.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH could reach $440 if bullish on: April 30, 2020, 11:19:52 AM
ETH is witnessing a massive pump this year and hopefully I wish it to continue, if the bulls continue to reach the next level resistance it may $440. However it is important to remember this is just an indicator,  I believe it has the capability to reach this value by the end of this year.
https://u.today/ethereum-eth-price-could-reach-440-if-bullish-momentum-persists-market-analyst-edward-moya?amp=1

Of course this is very much possible.  We know that ETH is a very good and reliable altcoin whose block chain technology is being used by different institutions.  Late 2017 we witnessed ETH reaching $1500. So it is also possible to reach that amount even much more than that if there is a bull run.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of lying project team on: April 30, 2020, 07:23:12 AM
I've seen few projects that decieved investors into thinking that they will list on binance or okex and Kucoin without these exchanges confirmation, my advice is once a project claim they are going top exchange do not hesitate to go to the top exchange social media, if the listing is legit the exchange will atleast say something about it. Wise up

Seriously I am not being surprised or deceived with these kind of blatant lies from project teams anymore, just because I have seen a whole lots of them with lots of vague promises.  I used to tell some of my friends, look, when promises are too much from a project, then one needs to be careful. Those are just strategies to lure people into investing in their scam projects.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: April 29, 2020, 08:26:34 AM
Seek for more crypto knowledge before investing in new projects, it's not always that easy to choose, as a newbie it's better to stick with old top altcoins on coinmarketcap, why? Because many newbie are in rush to make fast returns, if you are this type pls go for better top coins, 90% of new coins aren't serious at all, they are here to steal money from investors and give fake promises in return

Newbies are safer with top altcoins until they start learning how to choose wisely, do better diggings on new project to avoid scams

Cov-19 have been used to scam many newbies and even Corona virus coins are built too which have no real use cases

Play safe and be willing to learn

It is very true that, coins can be listed in the top 10 on exchange through some manipulations and get people deceived by investing in them.  I prefer choosing coins based on products and utility.  There are few altcoins that have really been established and they have stood the test of time several years such as ETH, XLM, XRP and some others. I think these newbies are safer investing in them than choosing based on the ranking on the exchanges.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free Storage for Coronavirus Research made by Storj on: April 29, 2020, 06:36:15 AM
I've just read an interesting information from cointelegraph telling that Storj has launched a program to provide free storage for organizations researching about Covid-19. I think it is good initiative from one of blockchain-based project. Let's see below the information.

The existence of the corona virus pandemic indeed makes many parties want to give their capacity and involvement to be useful and helpful in various aspects. Corona virus is already a global problem and affects many things. Various parties involved are trying their best to deal with this pandemic. One of them is Storj, a blockchain-based decentralized storage networks.

As reported by the Cointelegraph, Storj announces a specific program providing the free decentralized storage. This is used for the organizations that deal and research Covid-19.

1. Organizations that research about Coronavirus qualified for free 2TB cloud storage
Why this company chooses the organizations that research Covid19? The company states the reason. It qualifies for the 2TB of Storage. Storj has reported and announced a special program that offers online storage freelu for that organizations researching about Corona virus pandemic, especialy those that have contributions to fight agains globally this pandemic. The program offers free 1 terabyte cloud storage. Storj commits to provide up to 5 petabyte of the data and also storage regarding to research of Covid-19 totally. Additionally, they will also consider the resource requests for exceeding 1 terabyte.

2. The Crypto community is holding a demonstration for fighting against the Covid-19
Besides giving the donation for material and financial, the crypto community also unified to give their support to fight against the Covid-19. It is done by donating the computing resource for the distributed research organization platform of Folding@Home.

This is one of the contributions that Storj gives to help dealing with Covid-19. Many other parties also have done their support and contributions based on their field and skills.

Let's think about these.

- What do you think about the Free Storage made by Storj, will it be very helpful for organizations researching Covid-19?

- How about us? Basically, everyone has similar chance to give their contribution depending on what and who they are.
Just contribute even it is a very simple way, in daily life.

Stay safe, stay at home guys!!  Smiley

This is very nice idea and a welcome development from Storj.  Different establishments are trying their possible best in order to contain this deadly pandemic and the block chain industry is no exception.  At least this storage for quality research idea form Storj is different from some unscrupulous elements creating one project or the other in order to use the advantage to swindle people of their asset.  I will like to welcome more backings from crypto industries for quality research and development.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto success takes time on: April 29, 2020, 06:12:34 AM
People don't want to give projects some time to grow, they forget that coins like dash, litecoin, Xmr, Bitcoin etc have a rough start, I'm just saying crypto investment takes years, just because a project drop in value doesn't mean they won't grow better in future.

Projects don't just turn huge in a year, there will be lots of volatility and price loss, for long term hold be prepared, if you can't then go for top coins

Definitely.  Someone who is so greedy and desiring a quick big returns might not make it in crypto or even end up in big loss.  Every big business or establishment today took time to arrive at that appreciative level.  I have seen a friend that sold an airdrop for $700 and 4-5 months later, the same quantity of airdrop could have been sold for $7000. Everything needs time in life.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Binance beat Ethereum on: April 28, 2020, 05:41:09 AM
Binance coin was hit to Coinmarketcap around 25 Jul, 2017. At the time BNB was trading nearly $0.10 with 10 Mln USD market cap, trading at its own Exchange Binance. whereas at the same time Ethereum was trading around $225 per Eth, having more than 21 Bln USDT Marketcap. Later on Ethereum Blockchain was well in business and marke its all time high price $1368 per coin and its market was cap was above 132 bln usd. This time was early 2018 and all market was at its peak. People were expecting about Ethereum will soon overtake Bitcoin and this all was due to Ethereum Blockchain adoption for new ICOs launching with the help of smart contract of Ethereum Blockchain.

But this all was slowdown gradully due to fake ICOs. With all this happening entire market was in downtrend which is still continue. Where this was badly effect whole crypto market but Ethereum was also in correction and this was lead its value to the agin under $200.

Now here is the other story of Binance. In the same time Binance was in serious busniess and its addoption was over the Moon. So, Binance was in race of becoming World No.1 Exchacge by beating Bittrex and it done the job, the other side its Binance coin was making business day by day.

Binance management very smartly engaging its native coine into miltiple purpose and make it one of the best cryptocurrency in Bolckchain Industry.

We all well aware how last year Binace utlise its Exchange and develop their Binace coin market. Here i want to mention some core businesses operating by Binance Team.

  • Binance Exchange
  • Binance DEX
  • Binance Chain
  • Binance Fiat services
  • Binance Launchpad
  • Having giant partners

Binance acquire Trust Wallet, WazirX Indian Market.

Binance coin will make history buy using like these above mentioned features and many more.

I think someday BNB will beat ETH, What you Think Smiley

Anyway I can't categorically say it's not possible, almost nothing is impossible in life. But this is going to be a hard thing and might take a whole lots of time for BNB to beat ETH.  Ethereum has been well established and many financial institutions are building/leveraging on its smart contract technology.  It might be an almost impossible to task for BNB to beat ETH.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does success mean? on: April 27, 2020, 07:42:54 PM
Today you can see many topics and meassages that new projects do not succeed.
But what is success? If we measure success by today's standards, then for the majority it will mean listing on a large exchange and rising prices.
But is it success and success for whom? For those who just made money on this speculation? For a project that earned? For the exchange that earned? And where is blockchain and technology here?

In my understanding:
Success is the full realization by a project of its ideas and goals.
Success should be determined by the benefits that the project brings in itself and gives others, but not how much it costs, because these are just numbers.
Success and price should be determined by the value that the project gives the world, and not the amount of money poured into the project.

I hope that in the future there will be more such examples.

To me I think success start right away from the ICO or IEO.  What many people mean by saying that a particular project was not successful could probably been that, the project fail to realize minimum amount through ICO or IEO that will make the project's development to continue.  When this happen, if such project lack private investors or team funding, that will be the end of the goal and the idea of such project.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: May I buy Bitcoin & Ethereum now? Or I am late? on: April 27, 2020, 07:15:07 PM
I just read an article that bitcoin halving can make a big jump in Bitcoin and Ethereum price. They said Bitcoin can hit 10K USD, and for that, the author described 5 reasons! So, should I buy now or the price is already high? Which will be more beneficial, Ethereum or Bitcoin? Please help me out.

Thank you.

You cannot be too late to investing in crypto because price is not static, you can buy at any time and decide whether you want to make it short term or long time investment.  If you invest now, you never can tell, the price of BTC and ETH could be  $10,000 and $300, respectively in a couple of months.  You can invest now.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much have you earned in one year on: April 27, 2020, 07:01:10 PM
I imagined how most bounty participants and trader who are below the senior rank most especially those who do not know how to choose good/high rewarding projects if they would would have even made up to $1k in the past 1 year. How would they feel if they have nothing meaningful to withdraw at this pandemic period and just looking at their wallet helplessly. How much have you been able to cash out in the past one year.

Well, apart from the signature campaign, I believe there are also good campaigns someone can join like article writing and content creation if one finds a good bounty campaign.  Though I didn't earn up to $1k last year, but I was able to earn around $800, thanks to bounties like smartfund and dabanking.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Crypto Vs Corona Virus on: April 26, 2020, 11:50:59 AM
Today is a big celebration day of the Chinese New Year, but on the other hand China is being hit by an epidemic that is the corona virus. So the Chinese government recommends that Chinese citizens do not travel on holidays and they close some tourism facilities to the public.
Even in Japan reportedly there are some shops that do not allow tourists from China to not visit their stores.
From this incident, will this affect the economy of China, especially China and the global crypto world?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/global-markets-swoon-as-lethal-virus-in-china-spreads/2020/01/23/a2223898-3dff-11ea-8872-5df698785a4e_story.html

The fact is that, this has really had some negative effects on the crypto market in China.  There were total lock down in many parts and travellings were banned in order to contain the deadly virus.  However, now that China has almost won the battle again the virus totally, crypto market in China has really picked up in good shape and has started improving now.  I'm optimistic that the rest of the world will also be free totally from this deadly disease.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto giveaway scams and how to spot them on: April 26, 2020, 10:13:49 AM
A couple of weeks ago now, I was introduced to crypto give away on twitter by a friend.  I wasn't comfortable with it anyway probably because it was the game of luck.  No one was asked to deposit any amount of coin or USD to participate, it was based on random selection and luck.  These are give away, meaning it is free. Anything different from 'free' from organizer is a scam.
