241  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] All Miners, Big and Small! on: May 18, 2015, 08:18:26 PM
I have some Blackarrow Bitfury boards.  Wanting to sell around 25 of them.  They do around 40Gh each at 1W-1.1W per GH.

Located near Charlotte NC.  looking to get $5 per card. PM if interested.

Also I will include the controller, cables, and standoffs to run these.  These boards have all good chips, no dead ones!

Received one monarch.  Running perfectly.  @Crazyates, I might get the other monarch from you in a few days.

Thanks!

Bought a Peppermining board from him a while back.  He sent me a new Corsair water cooling kit.  No problems, board is hashing away right now.

A miner that is also an air conditioner.  One that puts out cold air. Grin

IS this possible?

249  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S2 Underclock on: May 08, 2015, 01:17:24 AM
My understanding is that the S2 is fairly close to the maximum efficiency of the BM1380 ASIC.  Most likely there is not much more to be gained by underclocking.

1 watt per GH is about the best this chip can do.  Maybe .9 watt with some intensive tweaking of the voltages.  Would be very tedious for and S2.

The voltage's can't be altered however. THere is no option in the settings.

You have to "manually" tweak via pencil modding.  You add resistance to a feedback circuit in the regulator, hence lowering the voltage.  Would have to do this

40 times in the case of a S2.  With the S1, only 8 times.  This is why it would be tedious. Wink

Antminer S1 can be tuned down.  Comes real close to 1W/GH.  The mod can be done with a pencil and patience.

251  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Monarch firmware, will BFL release the source code? on: May 07, 2015, 03:20:07 PM
I have read through almost all of his posts.  It is my understanding that the firmware is "read locked" so it cannot be pulled from a working unit.

Maybe someone will post the studio project on Github so I can "tweak" it like I did my singles.  I would just like to have access to the voltages between

630mv and 690mv.
252  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Monarch firmware, will BFL release the source code? on: May 07, 2015, 04:58:21 AM
BFL is known for their helping with bitcoin community,..... ok i could not even make it any further without laughing.

I highly doubt BFL does anything to help the community.   I expect them to be dodging lawsuits for years to come.

Sadly, this I know.  Still I would like to see what these cards can do with just the right voltage/frequency combo.
253  Bitcoin / Hardware / Monarch firmware, will BFL release the source code? on: May 07, 2015, 04:09:43 AM
I would love to tweak the firmware for these cards.  Most of mine have 1.4.2.  One has 1.4.3.

First thing to do is remove that pesky voltage cap of 630mv! Seems these things prefer the voltage just a bit higher, maybe 650mv.

I fear that with all that is going on with that company we may never see it released.  Unless someone can pull it off of one. Wink

PM sent.  Do you still have the monarchs?

edit: Still no response in regard to the monarchs.  Are these still for sale?

OP, could you post some pictures of the power supplies?  Maybe a picture or two of the monarchs.  Interested in a couple of the power supplies if thy are

in good condition.

Thanks!

What brand are the 750W PSU's?  Corsair A series?

Received my Monarchs today.  All working perfectly. Smiley

Great transaction as usual.

Installed the new binary on one of my underclocked ants and now the discard rate is much higher.  Averages around 6% now.  With the previous binary (4.3.2)

it was around  .2%.  Is this normal?

Exact setting I am using:  [196.88  69 5f06] with latest firmware.

Thanks!
Discards do not matter.

Did you mean Rejects?
If so post the full set of relevant numbers:
Elasped, DiffA, DiffR

Rejects are actually very low.  Just curious about the discards.
