Unfortunately from time to time we must make a call whether to keep a market or to remove it. I am afraid that there is not a single metric that we use but rather several factors that weigh in to this final decision. As much as we would like to keep the markets that we chose to list, it is inevitable that some will have to be removed at some point. I am afraid BBR is one of these on this occasion.
I am very sorry for the inconvenience but once a decision is made by Management on such matters it will ultimately not be reversed.

Most if not all active members frequent the slack channels. Efforts are ongoing Hello, I'm one of the main devs for Boolberry. My organization, Blockchain Development Company, is a proponent of all cryptonote technology. BBR was slated for delisting along with a number of other networks, and I think this neglects the growth and expectations of future growth of Boolberry and the volume it has brought to Poloniex and will bring. Before my organization took interest in Boolberry, there was no development on it for 2 years, and it traded here on Poloniex, at a total valuation of $50,000, with almost no volume. Now with my organization rekindling interest in this network and promoting software development and community growth, it had steady and growing valuation of ~4 million USD, and average daily volume near $150,000. Our communications happen primarily across two slack channels. So a quick glance at reddit or bitcointalk will not reveal the community growth. Recently, we've coordinated a shared twitter account, and this has grown from 69 followers to 125 followers in a week's time, before the delisting news. Given the distributed nature of communication, I write bi-weekly missives to update the community on what is being said, developed, and external factors affecting boolberry's network. These are posted on Bitcointalk, Reddit, the slack channels, and twitter. Boolberry is currently resource intensive because of the RAM requirements to load the blockchain. This is probably an issue for Poloniex right now. We are actively working on a database solution like Monero and Bytecoin have. These are based on the same technology and diverged in different ways. We actually have a LMBD implementation of Boolberry that syncs with the network right now. It uses little RAM, but we need your cooperation and patience for us to continue the viability of this project. My organization does require a liquid secondary market for Boolberry, to continue its participation. So please don't delist Boolberry, and for fun, please relist it as XBB, as this is part of our plan to make it more apparent that there is active development and a rekindled direction for Boolberry. I'm still waiting for your answer regarding the 20,000XBB donation I made to you. 1) Can you confirm you received it. 2) What is your current status regarding this project and when can we see the donations equals development materialize? I don't like donating to someone who doesn't have the decency to say thank you or update the community. A beggar on the street has enough decency to say thank you when you give them a few coins. The 20,000 I gave you is far from that. Nobody can get a straight answer out of you regarding anything related to this project. Every time this project moves into a growth cycle you show up to kill it instead of supporting it. Usually with promises of future development or fearporn warnings of viruses followed up by radio silence for 5 months a stretch. It's been two months since the last cycle and not a single update just useless posts about a ticker change. I have little doubts about your capability as a developer but your assumed role as steward of this project is becoming tarnished with your unprofessionalism. Fluffypony is the biggest pile of shit on these forums and arguably the worst project lead given he can't even code, yet XMR is within the top 5 market caps. Meanwhile Boolberry is struggling to stay in the top 50.. surrounded by shitcoins like AEON, IOcoin, Rubycoin, Syscoin and IOCoin. If you want to be a project lead, start acting like one and lead.
Second - i've got 20000BBR to @zoidberg address, thank you very much i appreciate it, but it won't change my plans at the moment, i still finishing other project, and plan is still the same.
offtop: Most of the people here have absolutely no idea how much efforts and time needs to build a good quality crupto-project.
Whatever you do in code, whatever you change - it always under the huge pressure of possible fatal error. One small stupid mistake can ruin whole project in minutes. Especially if you not cloning - if you build your own technology, if you do change a lot.
We doing a lot of stress tests on our network, cover most of the code with unit tests and still, it's very risky.
And i don't want to spend few hours or days on BBR, make wrong commit and fuck it up.
I made my point.

ABOUT CHANGING TOKEN NAME: I never initiated/accepted changing it from original BBR to anything else, this project will be developed by original name, whatever else is not related to this project.
I guess we don't need "BBR-classic" here at the moment

My pool is down. It was under constant attacks since last pump began. Somehow I got blacklisted by Spamhaus. I'm really sorry but I cannot fix it immediately. It is sad there are people in crypto lacking moral values. More troubling is that they operate its critical infrastructure.
Edit: Just fixed the problem. Pool works again.

I started to get personal messages from people who call themselfs "investors".
They writing that they invested hundreds of-thousands $ in project and really care about it, giving me strong advice to stop other projects and dedicate myself to BBR and so on.
For all those people i'll answer here: you invest not in the project, you invest in coins, which do not affect project funding much.
Just fyi: average salary for experienced developer is about 8-10k$/month, if you would dedicate just a tiny part of your "investment" into project funding you would get really strong improvements of BBR from development side.
But since you prefer to wait passively and write convincing message - then have patience and wait, i have things to be done in BBR in near future.

I was legitimately interested in this currency because it is one of the few CryptoNote based ones still in development. Then I read more about "1Blockologist" and I was turned off again. He seems like a scam artist, lots of big talk and little actual hard code to show for it. Easy commits mean nothing.

Has your opinion changed? Although I have in the past questioned the 1% developer mining share at times when you have not been active I share your concerns in this case. 1. Currently I consider the original GitHub repository to be official for reasons similar to yours 2. I don't like that 1blocklologist changed the Bitcointalk link on r/monero to the new moderated thread which contains links to the new GitHub 3. I dislike the BBR masternode plan 4. I dislike the plan to change the BBR ticker to XBR5. I dislike all the talk of Boolberry Positives: 1. It is nice to have interest from a new developer since you have not been active in a long time 2. Since you have not been active I like the proposal to remove the 1% developer mining reward (my mind could be changed if you started developing again) Ya, i changed my opinion, he started to insult me personally in chat, so i just ignore him. Hi CZ, thank you for your valuable input. Are you currently supporting 1blocklologist's and Block chain Development's vision for BBR in the future? Is there anything that they should be working on right now, to make the smoothest transition to a new development team? Thanks again for all of your great work!  At the moment i can say only that 1blocklologist didn't get my trust yet. He rejected to contribute to BBR repository with my code review, he did't show competence in BBR code base, he didn't do any improvements yet. For me it looks like a fake, so be careful. Zoidberg. |
