On the GetMonero.org website there are quite a few pages under the Knowledge Base tab still needing content. Could these be completed before anyone is recruited to translate? No point paying for translations twice, if you know what I mean.
I'll contribute 25 XMR to this translation fund too. Just PM me when payment is needed.

Will it be possible to produce view keys to reveal properties of just one particular transaction, or will view key's reveal all transactions relating to one Monero address?
I can envisage scenarios where there is a need to prove a payment took place, so maybe view keys for for single transactions would be useful.

A better question: why is litecoin better than monero?
isn't dash better than monero, they shares the same thing, but dash is a more suited name for a coin than monero can even dream about monero problem is its name really nothing else and litecoin isn't better than monero, people are more attached to it for emotional reasons... Uhm, that is simply not true. The technology behind monero is new and based on cryptonote, including a baseline anonymity feature. For example, you can't even know who has the most coins, or create a "rich-list". Moneros blockchain is not parsable. you know that dashcoin has the same algorithm as monero which is cryptonight, so they share the same ring signature and the same level of anonimity, but the difference is that dash ahs a vbetter name also monero wasn't the first that utilize cryptonight, it was bytecoin... Wow! So very wrong! Dash uses X11. They are very proud of inventing it. And Dash doesn't use ring sigs they use the masternode system, they also invented, for their anonymity. All cryptonote coins like monero can do anonymous transactions without the help of anyone else because of ring sigs. Dash users need the help of masternodes to mix their coins to do anonymous transactions. no it does not use x11 see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678232.0first line Algorithm: CryptoNightif there was another dashcoin in the past that was x11, then i'm not aware of it, and probably it vanished, or perhaps they changed the algo, i don't know what i know is that dash is using cryptonigh I think wires are getting crossed. Dashcoin [DSH] does use the CryptoNight algo, and was called Dashcoin from its beginning. However, there is also Dash [DASH]. i.e XCoin -> DarkCoin -> DASH. Darkcoin rebranded to DASH, which has confused some folks. It does use the X11 algo.

It's good to see development still happening. I'm looking forward to the iPhone wallet.

The bootstrap is very old. Any chance of an up to date one please?

I'm still mining. The diff is crazy low just now. Only wish I'd mined near the start with higher block reward. I'm looking forward to a GUI wallet. The only other respectable coin with a GUI using CryptoNote protocol (that I know of) is Boolberry, so it'll do wonders for this coin when it arrives. Nae pressure smooth is XDN considered 'not' respectable? PM'd

Anyone notice the emission curve for this coin?
Mining at 150 XDN per block, it will take another 177 years just to mine the same number of XDN mined in the first month...

Is it not true of CryptoNote coins, that if one person holds the vast majority of coins, the anonymity is broken?

guys my wallet doesn't syncing i tried the ways to make it syncing but unsuccess what should i do help me please.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=438150.msg11432607#msg11432607Put the downloaded bootstrap file into your C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Maxcoin\ directory. Open Maxcoin and wait a long while for it to sync from the bootstrap file. When you finally see the Maxcoin GUI it will be only a few weeks behind.

Maxcoin was pumped almost on a weekly basis when mcxnow was up. Anyway, I synced my wallet and uploaded the blockchain part of it for others who doesn't want to sync for days or run into issues: https://mega.co.nz/#!WIUHALIB!U5qKmU1bgEEEKoy6mpaYRm8WNV3uvdxWFUZE_kMr7co
It's not a single bootstrap as it would also be slow to check 977k blocks, it is simply the synced wallet uploaded (without peers/wallet/conf/etc). Did this come from Windows? If not, will it work on Windows anyhoo? I suspect I'm going to have to wait months to sync my Windows wallet.... It's taken me 2 weeks to get from 50 weeks behind to 48 weeks behind. Yes, windows. Worked a treat. Thank you

Ever since BitcoinWisdom delisted Cryptsy DRK (Dash), we fell way down in the alt list with hardly any volume. I'm so used to looking near the top, now I have to find it somewhere in the middle! So frustrating...
What is the story behind the delisting btw? Yes please do tell. Still have bitfinex for DRK/dash but not for cryptsy, even though cryptsy still there for other coins??? I feel like posting up a meme with a t-rex talking about volume and threats to bitcoin, but....... not today. perhaps one of the twitter guys may ask them whats up: https://twitter.com/BitcoinWisdomdont have twitter myself ..... If you type the URL yourself you can get to the Cryptsy page, but the graphs are messed up... https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/cryptsy/drkbtcSomething is broken

Sorry for posting in this thread but XMR holders are smart! I love XMR
However I also have some BBR I want to withdraw from Poloniex. They do not offer a web wallet and I am not sure how long it would take me to set up a paper wallet to withdraw to directly without downloading the GUI first to create one. Can anyone tell me if the official BBR GUI is safe from malware etc?
My malware software cant find a problem but Firefox warns me when I download it. Thanks for any advice!
Nobody can promise you that, other than scanning it, etc. If you want to be more safe you really have to compile it yourself. That might require more of a learning curve than you're prepared for. I get the same warning when I download BBR and AEON wallets. But if I scan them they are clean and I've had no issues with them. That's no guarantee, mind you!

I like making small cryptonote pools, so there's one running latest at aeonpool.mooo.com. Fee is 1%, of which half goes to the dev fund. Payouts are made in 0.5 aeon increments every 20 minutes, I might change it if needed. The wallet is currently refreshing. so first payments may be delayed for up to a couple hours. And now I'll be off to sleep, don't break it while I'm away MoneroMoo, I have a yam CPU miner and claymore GPU miner on the one PC with both mining on your pool. Individually they seem to work, but if both are working at the same time, after a short time one or other seems unable to connect to your pool and I have to restart it. Sometime it's the CPU miner, other times it's the GPU miner. Do you know if there's a reason for this? Thanks Bosco Have you tried another pool? I did try another pool for a while, but I was receiving way less AEON than I thought I should have. I'll stick with mooo.com

I think I do. There's a couple addresses that send bad hashes every so often, and the IP gets temporarily banned for a few minutes as a defense, this is probably yours. There are two AEON addresses from the same IP, behaving and then submitting bad hashes. The IP address ends in 143. I think the issue is one of heat, which makes the GPU miner generate faulty blocks. I've never used the GPU miner, but AFAIK you can decrease the intensity, or number of threads, or similar, to load it a bit less, so that it will not reach the threshold which causes it to develop faults. If that's not you with those two addresses on that IP, then I don't know. Nope, not my IP. And I'm mining to one address from both miners. No matter, I'll just create a scheduled task to restart the miners every 30 mins. They've been running for the last hour without hiccup, so restarting every 30 mins should be sufficient. It's definitely not heat - it never reaches above 57c (aftermarket cooler fitted). It seems to be an algorithm which doesn't push the GPU like some others. Thanks

Devs,
I hope the official wallet will have some way to name any particular wallet file that you have open. It'd be a nice feature to see in the GUI different names that you've given, even if the wallet files themselves are all called wallet.bin.
It's very annoying opening different wallet files in BitcoinQT and the only thing I see immediately different about them is the total - even this can be confusing if you have more than one wallet with similar totals.
Even better for the official wallet would be the ability to open and easily manage several wallet files at once.
I look forward to the finished product, whenever it comes. I'm sure it'll be awesome.
