I watched the video and I see nothing wrong with it. Agree. But the video was supposed to be about bitcoins. I heard 1 or 2 sentences about bitcoins. Most of the video was about silk road. It's like someone creating a video about EUR, but talking about a Tesco and forex market security issues instead.

Anonymously and securely... and useless. If there is court order to seize the domain name, it does not matter who is the official owner. On the other hand, in case of mybitcoin.com it was successful strategy.

It's not important if you have static or dynamic IP. You need to have direct access to other bitcoin nodes on port 8333, or try to use proxy settings from your browser.

I can't fund my credit card with it. You can. But as someone stated before, CC suck. But if you are really interested in doing so, it's possible to send your coins to bitcurex.com, buy a CC there and and charge it with your coins. And finally the taxes argument... you can't be serious, right?

So... I put the blockchain on ramdisk. It's a little faster, and it doesn't cripple the disk performance, but it's still not fast enough

Not much... the speed of local verification is slowing things down. Not the network. Workaround: put the blockchain on ramdisk until it's fully synced. I have never done that, but for some reason I feel strong urge to try it.

If 1 server goes down, you won't feel it. We can easily boot up more if needed be. When was the last time we heard something like that? Oh, yes... just before the GLBSE shutdown Just kidding. Keep dry...

> We're going to sell Uber devices capable of XXX exahashes per milisecond... - These claims are not real, I'm not going to believe until I see the exact specification. > Here it is, out device for poor wanna be miners will be powered by double USB 2 - These cannot be real. They don't even have the prototype, how could they know? > Here are some nice renders we have. Take a look... - The renders are fake, anyone can draw a cute pictures and put them on the internet... I'm not going to believe until I see real photos! > Well, here are photos of our products... - No, the pictures are shopped. I'm not going to believe until I see your device hashing on the video!
inb4: The video is fake! Hashrate is generated by massive GPU farm in top secret military base, and visitors in BFL facility were murdered and only their clones with altered memory were released... .. am I the only one who see something like this while reading any of the BFL threads? And sorry for off topic, I could not take it anymore.

I'm going to switch from Slush's pool to p2pool. Well, if bfl asics will be supported by p2pool sw.

1) No need for confirmation for such a small transaction. (Sure, trying to double spend while purchasing a snack would be fun for most geeks, but regular people are not considering this as much fun) 2) Let's assume he's using a full client with private keys stored on his device only. (Please don't advertise web wallets to newbs and tell your friends not to use an exchange like a wallet for all their money)

I got my Pi yesterday. 2 months since I ordered. However, I'm thinking of getting this http://cubieboard.org/ instead of 2nd rPi. More powerfull, incl. SATA port.

If Bitmit dies, the bit of me dies too. I am considering joining the bid party.
Tip for bitcoin business owners #1 : Save the messages like "Sorry, we're closing. Goodby and thanks for all the fish!" as a last possible choice. Selling the company is actually best way to do it without harming the customers and our small economy as well. Not even mentioning that after GLBSE closing, this message nearly caused me a heart attack. Now I'm going to kitchen, make myself some hot tea and try to calm down.

Slush's pool is the example of pool on which you are not going to mine anything. On Pay Per Last N Shares pools, the shares loose it's value over time. If you do not send any share in small time frame before the block was found, you will not get any reward.

0.00009822 on PPS pool But with hash rate so small, it can be 0.00000000 on some pools.

You can install the outdated rpm package to satisfy all dependencies (or just dissect the package and install them manually) and then use the latest version from bitcoin.org

The real question is, if we're in a simulation, are we simulated, too, or are we "jacked in" somehow? From now on I'm going to feel terrible for killing the processes . What if thew were self conscious?
