You can use the private keys in Viacoin Core to control your viacoins, but not any Clearingouse tokens This is what I wanted to know. Thanks for clarifying! |

Wow, thanks Sig! That really means a lot!  Hey David... Question about the cold staking. So we have 2 private keys running on 2 different computers as a joint account. But what if one of the keys was on one computer and the other private key was a joint account key with 2 keys on 2 separate computers. Wouldn't that make a joint account with a joint account and virtually create a system with the capabilities to hold a 'hot' cold wallet on 3 computer devices? Couldn't that make for an endless loop of security? As the 2nd key could keep splitting into 2 more keys? So if an exchange like bittrex wanted to stake the coins (on average they've held around 115 million Bays for 2 years - that's a lot coin minting power they are throwing away!), they could essentially have the cold wallet on 4 to 5 different devices, passphrase protected (with timed anti-keylogger security), and hidden in images? It would make it unhackable! They only way they could hack the system is if it's an inside job. Heck with this in mind they could even create a money back guarantee because they know it would have to be an inside job if it happened! Yeah essentially all accounts have 2 keys so you can set one on the main computer and the other on multiple servers. The whole theory behind cold staking is to allow staking without hacking. However anti-keylogger won't help since you need to unlock the wallet to stake Wow! It'll be a revolutionary invention for all the POS-lovers. |

How's going a CryptoBank development, dear Griffith?
hmm.. i believe i had posted something about that a while back... but idk where it is and i dont wanna make u dig for it so this about sums up what i said. Until an alternative to the traditional chain storage that is more disk oriented as opposed to RAM is created then the concept of cryptobank, while it does work, is infeasible with practical application. The amount of memory needed for each chain just stacks and it uses the same memory resources as running all the wallets individually on your computer. Most of my attempts to correct this problem did not work out as i had hoped. This is due to all chains being loaded and stored the same way and not being able to be condensed with each other since they have 0 to do with each other data wise. I had come to the conclusion to actually make it work, i would need to rewrite a lot of the chain storage, loading, and handling code myself. I never actually attempted this on the cryptobank project itself. although i am writing my own blockchain that is different from bitcoins in my spare time that addresses a lot of the issues i feel bitcoin has but also does other things. (basically how ETH made their own blockchain but it was different from bitcoins). so as for right now. it is on hold. i havent been working on it for the past few months. i had been thinking about revisiting it recently but i am also helping launch a different crypto-platform and was morely focusing on that right now Good.
