Hello, If anyone is interested in buying Dagger-Hashimoto hashing power to mine Ethereum even without having physical miners: we added beta support for Ethereum Dagger-Hashimoto algorithm to NiceHash. Since original Ethereum specification lacks full stratum support, we made a few minor patches to the Ethereum specification in order to be able to put support for Ethereum on NiceHash. The specifications are published here. Pools and mining software have to be patched in order to be compatible with the new specification. Currently there are no compatible public pools available, but we made a basic Ethereum pool which follows these specifications and other pools can be prepared according to these specifications. Full source code for the patched Ethereum pool can be found here. We also patched Genoils ethminer and full source code as well as beta windows binary can be downloaded here. MINING POOL OPERATORS BOUNTYSince we would like for pools to put support for NiceHash as soon as possible, we will pay 0.5 BTC to each of the first three Ethereum pools operators that will make their pools compatible with NiceHash rented hashing power. We don't see any performance gain in using your stratum implementation, there is a working implementation, so why change it ?
We had to alter the specification in order to make it compatible with our service ... it's not a big deal really, just few, but necessary patches. Nevertheless we'd like to offer support for stratum to our users using your service, do you have a reference implementation ?

Well, we did thank you for sgminer contribution: https://github.com/nicehash/sgminer/releases/tag/5.4.0 and yes, we contacted Decred team multiple times regarding stratum support, right from the beginning - even before Decred was even launched - but there was never any real interest expressed for the implementation. It's also the Decred users who would benefit if ccminer would have support for NiceHash stratum, but the decision is of course yours. Thanks anyway! |

Hello, If anyone is interested in renting Decred hashing power to mine Decred even without having physical miners: we added Decred algorithm to NiceHash. Since original Decred specification lacks stratum support, we made a few minor patches to the Decred specification in order to be able to put support for Decred on NiceHash. The specifications are published here. Pools and mining software have to be patched in order to be compatible with the new specification. If you are a buyer you can already submit orders by using suprnova pool on special port dcr.suprnova.cc:2255 as target pool. If you are a seller (miner) you'll have to use new version of miners. A new version of sgminer has already been released, whereas the maintainers of ccminer mining software should patch ccminer and provide new release with support for the modified specifications. Hey, you know what would be really cool? Knowing when my 0.0009 BTC worth of Ethereum will be actually paid out.
Maybe I'm just reading the FAQ wrong?
"Unexchanged amounts that are lower than 0.002 BTC, but still higher than 0.0001 BTC, are not processed regularly, but are included in dust cleaning process, issued once per week, usually every Sunday at 13:00 UTC."
And no, this is not unexchanged or immature Ethereum either. It's been like a month since it was.
It's not the value, it's the fact that it messes up my balance indicators. Either pay it out or get rid of it. I tried mining Ethereum on Nicehash as a test--the results of which have long since been determined.

Hi, Im new user trying solo.nicehash minning. I have a question: If I connect my antminers to solo.nicehash, but I dont buy a ticket lottery, the blocks founds with my antminer are lost?
Lottery tickets, bought at https://www.nicehash.com are not related to your mining with physical hardware. If you buy a ticket at https://www.nicehash.com you're essentially renting hashing power in the background - and this hashing power is directed to the Solo Pool ( https://solo.nicehash.com/). If you connect your AntMiners directly to https://solo.nicehash.com/, then you don't have to buy any Tickets (because you already have hashing power from your AntMiners).
