It's tough, isn't it, to have a kick ass gaming system when you know that card could me making you some coin.
So what "compromises" have you made to have a decent gaming system, or maybe you decided to stop gaming :0

https://www.harborfreight.com/100-watt-solar-panel-kit-63585.html-100 watt solar panel gives you plenty of clean, quiet energy - no fuel required -Amorphous silicon solar cells for maximum output in both bright and cloudy conditions -Lightweight, weatherproof construction - easy to set up and maintain -Blocking diode prevents panels from discharging your battery at night -Charge controller protects your battery from overcharge or discharge -Comes with mounting hardware, 12V Light Kit, battery terminal clamps and universal DC power adapter -USB port for charging smartphones and tablets Looks a little cheap...so 100 watts for about $160 USB (using the 20% off coupons). Wondering if anyone is using these panels? I'll check out the other thread as well.

Has anyone used the other two? Which one should I go for?

There is a good choise: Add2PSU. Don't use cheaper knock offs. You don't want to cheap out on power supply components (PSU, Cables, connectors, etc.)
The importance of using 2PSU adapter with relay is evident: When main PSU switchs off - the secondary switchs off too But the price is too high: 13 USD for 24 pin connector, molex connector and simple relay. Look at Aliexpress. It's only one important parameter of the relay: turn-on delay With shipping, it is a bit pricey, but protecting our equipment is important as well. Any alternatives out there, I need about 10?

"cannot claim manufacturer warranty if i don't have invoice" Laws very from country to country, I'm not familiar with the laws in your country, BUT some manufacturers will say things that are not legal...check with the laws of your country/state and make sure what they are saying is true to the law. Did you use a credit card to buy the card? How did you buy the non-working card? Also there are some video's online about diagnosing and fixing cards, but that is a long shot. Zotac's warranty policy seems ridiculous and probably not legal in many countries, especially EU countries. https://www.zotac.com/in/page/product-warranty-policyOP where are you from? I am from Europe - Croatia. Basicaly i have 10 Zotac cards that i bought from a store and i have invoice. But found some guy that can get also cheap Zotac cards, same model, but like 20% cheaper. Downside is, he doesn't give an invoice. So was thinking either to change labels (but i guess it's to risky) or if something goes wrong with GPU, claim factory warranty. I contacted Zotac via live chat, i told i am from Europe, croatia and asked can i claim warranty if i dont have invoice. Guy said no xD How did you pay the guy? I don't know if your country has consumer protection laws, even without an invoice, if you paid with a Visa card you might have some protection. I've read Zotac's warranty information. At this point I would RMA the thing without the invoice...just follow the online instructions...and send it back. They have a 2 year warranty, if the item was not made more than 2 years ago, logic would dictate that it is less than 2 years old and would fall in the warranty period. Or call and talk to a supervisor, tell them the production line of the card is not older than 2 years, you lost the paper work, etc...maybe let him/her know you are part of a BIG online community that is following the outcome of this (and hoping for good results).

THERE ARE FOUR CATS !!! (okay maybe 5) This thread is becoming a bit like torture, like Picard in "Chain of Command" https://youtu.be/wjKQQpPVifY

Add2PSU, i have 6 of those. Also, I would avoid the cheap knock-offs and get the real thing - http://www.add2psu.com/ Better safe than sorry I don't have one yet, but I love it, are you guys using the basic version or the timer delay version ?

470 with 8gb vs 570 with 4gb?
Which would you choose?
470 with 8 gb for sure. Got few of them.. ( Sapphire ), flashed and all are still working great (knock knock on the wood). The best card in my opinion for mining is still RX 480 8gb (red devil). Before the DAG increase it did 30 mh/s on ETH, with this DAG it's still doing 27,6.. On other coins with lower DAG it does 30-31 mh/s with 90W from the wall. What about dual mining? Does the 5xx series pull ahead?

Greetings!
Is it possible to swap GPU-s for warranty?
Let me explain.
I have 10 Zotac GPU-s and i have bill for them. If i bought 1 more Zotac GPU without bill/invoice (they wont approve my warranty if something fu*ks as they require if you to have invoice) and that one malfunctions, can i switch serial number labels from a GPU that i legit bought in a store, put it on that malfunctioning GPU without a bill and return them that GPU that didnt had invoice, so they take my warranty on that GPU.
Some guy is selling cheap GPU-s without invoice but in case something goes wrong i would like to be able to claim warranty somehow. They are legit GPU-s ofc, unopened and such, but he doesnt give me bill as he gets them from somewhere and doesnt pay taxes for it.
Cheers!
Isn't there a manufacturer's warranty ? Maybe you don't have to go to the seller...I would try to do an RMA with the manufacturer...usually these things have at least a 1 year warranty (the serial number should be tied to a manufactured date). Also, few people do this, but if you bought it with a Visa card that might have extended your warranty to 2 years OR there might be buyer protection against non-working electronics (through visa, but I'm sure they don't make it easy to get a refund). Keep us updated

All my rigs are shut down. Water level is breeching 30% up driveway. It's not looking good.............7 more days of rain. All detention ponds and bayou are breached. Only thing we can do is pray. Only 1 life jacket in the house, who gets it? L3 or 1080TI?
Sounds bad...can you move everything upstairs (not to run, just to protect it)?

Things have changed a lot in a few months, any changes in what you are mining or did you sell you old GPUs?

Also seems that "Keccak" is a real winner on my GTX-1080 machines --they have been sticking to it pretty much all day since the update to Nice Hash enabling it.
Alot of people seem to have avoided the standard 1080 like the plague... but I've been pretty satisfied with mine.
so your go to machine is the T5500 hopefully getting the 875 or 750w factory power supplies from dell, using sata to 6+2 pin connectors and risers and 1060s, 1070s, or 1080s correct? This setup looks awesome I just have a question about the power did you install a power distribution unit kit or all separate receptacles by my calculations if each rig is pulling 600 watts you could put 4 on a 20a breaker or 5 on a 30 to give some headroom? I have a couple rigs setup using the 1200 evga platinum and looking at new housing for the other RX cards I have and these look like good ideas I have used a few of the Dell T5500s -- dollar for dollar they are an awesome value. The ones I am using are all 4x GTX-1060 so I use 2x factory 6-pin + a CPU Power to dual PCI-Express power adapter. They also have the 875-watt PSU. My actual go-to is the HP Z400 -- although I have to change the PSU I actually prefer the internal layout (more open). As for the power -- I am running 8x 20-amp circuits at the moment. I have each system tuned to be 500-550 watts. I am trying to keep it down to 3 per 20-amp circuit for plenty of headroom. EDIT: Read about the fans. What's the temp in the room and do you feel you have adequate cooling? What part of the world do you live?

Can anyone point me in the right direction? So far, everything I've read so far is beyond me.
Thx in advance
Do you want to turn an existing system into a mining rig? Or do you want to build one from scratch? Do you have a budget / how much do you have to invest ? Tell us about the current computer system and also what your future plans/dreams (if any) with mining are. Look the best thing you can do is jump in, the best way to learn is to start; for example, if you have a decent gaming card in your current system, you can download nicehash and start mining tonight (you will need a bitcoin wallet address, many ways to get that)
