121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme? on: January 22, 2018, 12:45:56 AM
I had arguments  with my friends  who are always  tagging  bitcoin with negativity. Today, we argued  and I educated them on bitcoin and Ponzi scheme.  To me Ponzi scheme  is when developers takes  money from new entrance to pay early birds, rinse and repeat until they raise enough and vanish. But bitcoin  is not like that.  Do you think I am right?

Oh boy, if bitcoin gets labeled a ponzi scheme (which is isn't) one could say many stocks are ponzi schemes...shit many could say life is a ponzi scheme, seems like it is getting harder and harder to build wealth (in America, UK, (add your country here))
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum? on: January 22, 2018, 12:38:44 AM
If Ethereum's supply is infinite, why does it enjoy a $112 billion+ market cap?

You really want to mention market caps in this environment...look at all the alt coins.

127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to invest in cryptos if you're old? on: January 11, 2018, 03:35:59 AM
What would you guys advise someone who is retired, living off pension and savings? Is it too late/risky to invest at that kind of age?
Do you guys think the elderly have a chance of jumping on the crypto train, or do you guys think it's too late for them to invest?

Tough call here...I would be very careful and stick to a strict budget using only money you can afford to lose.

Do you have any commodities or stock trading experience?

130  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I Be Scared Of Hackers If I Have Lot of BTC. on: January 11, 2018, 03:27:47 AM
The only way for you to lost your BTC is by phishing scams or the hackers stole your private key.

What kind of wallet do you use?
Web-based wallets are tend to be insecure due to how the private keys are stored on the cloud.

I'd suggest to get desktop wallet as you have more controls of your private key, just make sure your PC are clean from malware and junks.

If you're really serious about security you can get hardware based wallet like Trezor or paper wallet, that should be enough.

^ Great advice...and don't forget or lose your password(s).
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you choose to hold Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: January 11, 2018, 03:25:45 AM
The recent bitcoin price volatility is particularly large, but the price of eth has been very stable, you choose to buy eth or bitcoin?
 Tongue Tongue Tongue

Both but weighted in Bitcoin (70/30), also you should have some cash on the side to move in and out of the market (a little bit of day trading if you are bold enough)
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most possible Ethereum competitor? on: January 11, 2018, 03:23:14 AM
Damn good question and good answers - I would pick 3-4 and to invest in.

[snip]... Why is there no tracking data for ocean crossing flights in the southern hemisphere?

If the Earth were flat, shore based tracking systems would be able to track these flights using line of sight technologies. Given that they can't, due to the curvature of the Earth, you've basically just proven that the Earth is not flat.

Welcome back to reality.

That was a stone cold explanation...or should I say (because of this topic) a stone age cold explanation!
135  Other / Off-topic / Re: Making movie plans this weekend...should I see Justice League ? on: January 10, 2018, 09:56:45 PM
Justice League is unfortunately the worst movie of DC. Oh, maybe after the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Tongue

^This is what I heard ...I did not see it, but how they handled The Flash looked very interesting. I'll catch it on-demand or video...

140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How much longer will the 1080Ti be the king? on: December 23, 2017, 04:45:01 PM
and the vega56  is far more profitable with monero with 1800+ h

i think it s the best gpu for mining  price watt earnings
VEGA 56 is not profitable. Mining Ethereum VEGA shows very modest results. Price it twice what the RX 580 but the profitability of these cards 30 Mh/s and the profitability of VEGA 56 approximately 43 Mh/s. What is the benefit? Power consumption of VEGA 56 is also very high. I heard that they are beneficial to use in the extraction of zec but I can't say for sure.
Yes, Vega is very bad, hot and slow card. That is way it is nearly impossible to buy it )))))))))))))

Not profitable? LOL ... Who said anything about mining ETH with it? ... My six card rig with Vega 56's is doing just fine with XMR.  Power consumption at 180W per card.  Average H/S is 1900 per card.  Paid $525 USD for each card.  Six more on back order that I paid $550/card for.  I would love to buy more at that price, but you can't find them anywhere at the moment, unless you pay some dumbass on Amazon 1000USD for one.

Bad, hot, and slow? You just aren't in the know, dude.

Seems like VEGA's are hard to get...AMD is not known for producing volume...did you buy them the day they were released (to get them at that price)?
