241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to prepare for long term HODL on: November 01, 2019, 11:28:20 PM
Note: This is not about how to identify good coins to HODL
This is about how you can be a good long term holder

1. You must have another source of income
Either in crypto space or outside crypto space you must have other source of income, there was a time when i used to rely on coins i hold for monthly income but most time they failed me because some altcoins takes more than a month to add value. You can learn trading or find a better job to get constant income for your daily needs.

2. Not all altcoins are good for long term holding
Some altcoins are too weak to have better value overtime, these coins only add value to price once in a blue moon,WHY?because the power of demand is too low and they have no working product,i belief that working product is what makes a coin have many more investors

3.HODL Only Altcoins With Real Use Case
There are different categories of coins with use cases, many use case are weak use case, for example using fashion  designer to back a token is a weak use case to me because it means you can only use the token to buy the designer wears and many will call this a real use case? no it wont do very well.
Make sure that the real use case of every altcoins you hold will be very reasonable, the products backing them up must be something that is different and will catch the eye of investors, the usefulness  must be outstanding .

4. Stay Updated Always
Opportunity comes but once as many know it,so always stay updated about crypto, read crypto news online and keep tracks on your altcoins so that you wont miss future updated or even token swaps, some altcoins i hold have already switched to MainNet and im glad i dont missed the opportunity, you can use blockfolio app to track your altcoins.

Altcoin season is what many are waiting for, even new projects are waiting for altcoin season to return before they get listed on exchanges,im sure of one thing and that is good things dont come easily, today is bitcoin turn to reign and one day altcoins will have its day as well.

You need to have a strong will in long term investments. If you cannot separate your emotions to the job, you will most likely not last in this industry. It is tough to stay in track when there are a lot of rumors running around an tries to discourage you. But it also important to keep in mind that not all investments will suceed though it will depend on how strong the coin is.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Creates Currency to Cancel-out Cryptocurrency on: November 01, 2019, 10:58:41 PM
China Creates Currency to Cancel-out Cryptocurrency
The Chinese government is on a mission to keep people dependent on government-controlled currency.
China’s government has now devised a cockamamie scheme where they will use their central bank and commercial banks to distribute a newly created digital fiat currency
in an attempt to trick citizens into believing that they have cryptocurrency all in hopes that the people will use the digital fiat instead of real cryptocurrency and stay government currency dependent.
The fiat digital currency will be totally centralized and the plan is to replace the current currency, the yuan,
with the new digital currency which right now is being referred to as Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). The digital currency will be issued to commercial banks via the central bank, and the commercial banks will, in turn, be able to distribute it to the people.

I think that China is most likely use the centralized coin exclusively to their own country. I also think that even though they compete in the market with that centralized coin, it will not dethrone the top ranking alts because many here still prefer decentralized coins and anonymity.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Create and Trade own crypto on: November 01, 2019, 10:27:55 PM

Hello Everyone,
I wanna create my own business and one of my colleague told me I can create my own crypto and make it tradable (it can help for fundraising).
Do you know if it's possible ? How Can I do it ? Anyone has a useful tutoriel for this ?
Thank you !

Unfortunately, it is not that simple to create you own cryptocurrency and trade it. You need to also to plan an interesting project and have good reputation in the industry. Then, you will need to also have the guts to face the challenges up ahead. Creating your own crypto is getting difficult because it is a tight competition and many did not survive the pressure.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: November 01, 2019, 05:12:49 PM
Aside from monetary incentives in crypto, I rarely come across discussions pertaining to why the average enthusiast in crypto is involved with crypto. While the answer may be pretty straightforward, there are some outliers.

Crypto means much more than just monetary incentives, it's essentially a technical revolution that has involved the masses, something you and I can be apart of. Ultimately, that's probably one of my greatest interests for blockchain and crypto. Another big intrigue for me is the evolution of blockchain tech in itself. I've been around for quite sometime and have witnessed the evolution of cryptos, businesses, behaviors and attitudes.

These 2 factors, along with several others, are the reasons I continue to be involved on a community and business level with crypto. It's become a hobby, passion and business for me.

I still do not understand what has gotten to me when I started doing bounties and getting interested and eventually trying the crypto trade industry. All I know is that cryptocurrency became a good source of income and has influenced me to take computer related courses in college. Crypto has been helping me ever since and I owe it all to the industry and to the people who supported me.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why would you sell an altcoin right at the very bottom on: November 01, 2019, 04:35:48 PM
It makes no logical sense to sell an altcoin right at the very bottom of a market cycle.  Look I know its very painful to see that altcoin you love some much cause you so much grief, and not to mention checking your altcoin account balance looks like a scene from a horror movie.  But I am here to tell you, to hold strong, keep the faith and ride this altcoin storm as we are about to hit a very sweet spot in the market cycle where altcoins will explode in value.  Almost every altcoin is extremely oversold when comparing it to previous altcoin ATH (all time highs) and not to mention when comparing it to the bitcoin rally of late.

ATTENTION: We are about to enter altcoin season right at the very bottom, there will be some explosive move coming....Please hold firm.

Much love to all altcoin holders (especially those that hold HST decision token)

Stay safe, and see you all at the very top of the next altcoin season.

Peace out Cheesy

I do not think that it is wise to hold a coin that has already becoming less and less usable in the market. Not all investment plans work so we must be prepared when we need to quit. Sometimes, the investment itself is unrealistic from the beginning due to the lack of extensive research about the project. But, it is also true that there are a few coins that manage to rise up again. Part of reason is that even the prices is not that high anymore as it used to be, there is still trading volume.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TAKE A BREAK! on: November 01, 2019, 04:03:06 PM
You have tried so hard investing in different ICO and IEO without any success, you have lost at every investment you made, it is time to take a break. You have participated in hundreds of bounty campaigns without anything to show for it, it is time to take a break. You have been a bounty manager for years now buy every campaign that you have managed has ended up a scam or shit, it is time for you to take a break. Though some may advise you to try harder but i put it to you take a break, you cannot live all your life trying harder. Maybe you need to enjoy the forum for some times making necessary research and reading through every quality post to learn necessary things. You can also try your hands on other things. Get things straight, no matter how hard we try, we cannot all succeed in the crypto sphere. As an investor, stop loss. As a bountyhunter save your time for something reasonable. As a bounty manager, i know your integrity is important to you.

          Take a break!

Taking a break from all the stress helps clear your mind to think of new strategies. Also, I rather take a break than break down because of the emotions that can caused by unwanted events in the market. It's not a difficult path yet we still need to continue if we really want to succeed in this industry. But plan your break wisely and do not over do it because you might missed something important.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest way to buy crypto? on: November 01, 2019, 03:31:15 PM
Hey! I want to know how to purchase crypto safe. I don't want hackers to steal my money, and I don't want exchanges to sell my personal data. And is it safe using non custodial exchanges like changelly and shapeshift. Please help!

Many platforms nowadays use KYC and some hates it because technically, you are not anonymous anymore. This is because someone else knows now that you have an use crypto even though they do not know the specifics. KYC is common for those who want to cash outbor convert their crypto to fiat and the fees can be high depends on the exchange and to the financial institution it will pass on.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The crypto hell: the exchangers manipulation. on: November 01, 2019, 01:20:02 PM
Hello there fellas,
I'm going to discuss something that keeps making me nervous. I'm that kind of a person who likes the decentralization, the privacy, the freedom and the equality in the financial world. It comes to my mind that these exchangers might someday be selfish, crypto is getting worthy and it will bring the eyes of the greedy peoples. Imagine that these exchangers grabs the trust of the peoples and then they start manipulating the market. The total volume in the exchangers is not stabe and peoples will never withdraw all their funds. Let's say that the amount of the holdings that an exchange have is 1000 btc, they could easily create sell walls of 1500 btc and peoples will buy because they trust these exchangers. What will happen then? Imagine that all the exchangers do this, what's your thoughts on this fact?.

Be wise in choosing which exchange you will use because some of them manipulate the prices to make some coins look good. Comparing the prices from different platforms help a lot to decide well. Big exchange platforms will least likely to attempt to manipulate the prices and trade volume because there are a lot of eyes and their reputation is at stake. Small and new ones however are difficult to determine or if they have hidden agenda, only experience can verify.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: be careful with projects that offer you great prizes, that is not a guarantee of on: November 01, 2019, 12:31:10 PM
yes the fact is like that, in this crypto industry there is no full guarantee for you. Even in traditional investment, nothing guarantees you profit. There will be no certainty in future income, and if a project claims their tokens will become more and more expensive over time, it is very likely that they are lying. Of course, that does not mean that they are wrong, however, ensuring that everyone in the inevitable benefit is not responsible, to say the least. If you see a project that claims that your profits will grow tenfold in just six months, it's far more likely to be a good old Ponzi scheme than it really is, as seen in BitConnect.
So, no matter how this promise actually looks, if you see that the project offers you sky-high profits for literally no effort, it probably means that they want to make that profit out of you.

If the deal is too good to be true, then it is normal to start doubting the legitimacy of the project. I always look forward on realistic promises of the project instead of the projects that always say that you can earn XXX times if you invest on them. It is important to understand that you can only earn a lot if you bought the coin in one of its lowest price and then a bull run happened for that coin. The chances are slim and even if the prices go up, it's not as much as you initially expected.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoin to invest excluding ETH on: October 31, 2019, 11:37:52 PM
Right now the market situation is not so much to make any predictions but can do some experiment at our own risk by investing into altcoin.

But if we have to try something different by investing into a new altcoin which has caliber to perform well rather than investing on a reputed altcoins like Ethereum.  Kindly suggest which would be the best altcoin to invest which is under $1.

Coins under $1 are seldom to grow unless there is a sudden changes in the market that favors it. The price is kind of low but then it must depend on the season. Study the trend and history of the coin but it is not guaranteed that you can point out the date with lowest price to buy. Personally, I will look out coins with good trading volume because even though the expected profit isn't that big, at least the coin is in more stable ranking. Try to find among the top 100 in the ranking of coins and filter it out by researching.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How NOT To Get Scammed on: October 31, 2019, 11:10:13 PM
I believe that every good lesson starts with a good story and on this note, I want to tell you about the experience I had that made me cautious of "Get rich quick" schemes online especially those pertaining to Cryptocurrencies.

I discovered Bitcoin in early 2013 and although I didn't take it seriously at first, I was earning little money from it doing tasks online (pay for view, faucets and such), I took it more as a hobby and never intended on selling the bitcoin, I just knew in my heart that it would do great so I wanted to accumulate as much as possible without having to spend my money buying it (this was before I got into mining), fast forward to 2015 when the money doubling schemes were everywhere, I kept seeing adverts online and even though I knew better, I decided to invest in one of them (Avabitcoin) with the coins I got from my early days of discovering bitcoin, Avabitcoin was a platform where you invest bitcoin and they supposedly invest it and return profits to you on a daily basis, I decided to take the risk and invested for the first day, got back my money plus 12% profit, and greed overtook me and I did kept doing it for 2 more weeks before they vanished with my funds. I kept going all in even when I had already doubled my money.

If you want to avoid getting scammed online, you just have to follow the following:
Greed: Greed has led a lot of people straight to rekt, like my story above would have told you, I couldn't resist the pull of greed even when I had doubled my funds.

HYIPs: When it looks too good to be true, then it's probably too good to be true, when you see any investments that promise high yield returns, please stay far away from them, when you see genuine projects that offers returns, most of their returns are so low, some of them are average of 10% per annum and it's a wonder that we see platforms offering 10% and above in a day and we gladly jump straight into rekt, like I said, if it sounds too good to be true, then it's too good to be true.

FOMO: If not for the hype that Avabitcoin generated, I would not have invested in it in 2015, learn how to DYOR and avoid what others have to say about projects they seem to support, infact your mindset should be that everybody is trying to rip you off so if you always look at every hyped project with that mindset, you would have a clearer picture of the project without the blindfold of FOMO.

Rushing: Avoid rushing into any investment because you heard it's paying others, one of the virtues of a Cryptocurrency investor is patience, Cryptocurrency investments are high risk investments and you have to treat it like gambling, never invest more than you can afford to lose, never go all in on any project no matter how good it looks.

If you have any similar experience, please kindly share it, it might help others (especially the newbies to avoid being scammed by shady projects out there.

Indeed, emotions and greed are the impulses that are difficult to control and can lead to unfortunate events. Personally, I believe that things can go more smoothly if we set realistic objectives at the beginning and stick with it as much as possible. It's take a lot not to be swayed by emotions but it can also be a great motivator to still work in this industry.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO and scammers on: October 31, 2019, 10:40:51 PM
Sometimes I see rules for staring "good" ICO and one of all paragraph - deanon of creators. But exist countries, in which crypticurrency has been banned and creators have a chance go to jail to 5+ years (examle, Ukraine (if project have a anonymous coin transfer/stablecoins)). If I dont write about myself, I am a scammer (thinked users of bitcointalk). If I write - Im will a convict. What to do?

Follow your country's laws no matter what or leave and migrate to another crypto-friendly country. If it is illegal in your country, do not attempt to hide in the shadows just to do your bidding because it does not worth the time you will spent in jail. It's frustrating but I also hope that someday, the reputation of crypto will be cleared and it will not be ban anymore by any form in any country.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading or Marketing/Promotion on: October 31, 2019, 06:33:07 PM
I must say a very big thank you to all forum members because I have learnt a lot from their different opinions however, am still not stable on the part I should actually stick to Trading I ask about most of the responds are discouraging about losing funds high risk and all the rest in Marketing aspect I find out that most of the IEO/ICO turned scam in most cases. The question is I really picked interest in Trading but my intention was to work as marketer/Promoter and get paid in the crypto industry but based on different opinions and some research I can't really tell which of the above will be suitable. I really need opinions here thanks.

You could do both like if you think that you can manage it together. If you like to be on the promotion side of the industry more, it will be good because there will be a lot of theoretical knowledge to be learn. Meanwhile in trading, the practical experience will be your teacher. If you are being discouraged by the news and current state of the maket in trades, it will be a sign that you are not yet ready for the risks and emotional baggage of trading. Better to stick on your comfort zone and decide tomorrow whether you will like to be a trader.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: October 31, 2019, 05:31:13 PM
There had come many ICOs in 2017 and a good number of STOs in 2018 and many IEOs in 2019 but hardly a few have made it to 'relatively better than others' list.
I wonder why haven't there come potential coins like ether. The only project that looked promising to me this year was bittorrent which was lauched on binance launchpad.
But even that is not going so well these days.

Is the world out of ideas or solutions?

There are a lot of good coins out there but very few survive the competition because the market is too tight for most of them. Investors also are having difficulty to trust the projects that even though has potential and realistic objectives, are being shadowed by larger coins in the ranks. Projects nowadays need to be unique not just good. To offer something new to the market is hard because most have already been done.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are to be blame for what happened to them on the internet on: October 31, 2019, 03:42:07 PM
When it comes to money people like trying out things the way they see fit, try first learn later is the rules of newbies and thats why they always get scammed easily, HYIP, Pyramid Scheme, as dangerous and alarming these two are people still join them till date, both crypto and internet is not the evil here, people are to be blame for what happened to them

From spam emails and phising links to clickbaits and fake promos, the internet is a chaotic collection of scams. It will the person's fault if he fell on the trap. He could blame the technology all he want, but it will never change the fact that he was easily be swayed by his greed and ignorance. Cryptocurrency is created as free market so expect that there will be good and bad people here and it is your own job and responsilibity to choose who will be trusted or not. It will be you who will experinence the concequences so be cautious with too-good-to-be-true deals.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Do We Still Have Legit Altcoin Bounties? on: October 30, 2019, 10:31:19 PM
A friend introduced me here with the aim if doing Marketing and promotion for ICO & IEO companies to earn some funds however, my research got me so much discouraged as I noticed most of the ICO projects I intend to work with as planned are scam. As a result of this incident I have spent all my time here earning nothing at the moment though I have picked interest on trading. It will be my pleasure if anyone can actually tell me the means or platform where I can get real and legit project to work with. I can work perfectly as Community Manager, Ambassador, Marketing and Promotion etc.

There is line between a failed project and a scam. It's not because the project "failed" or did not successfully made their goal and promises to their investors, the project is scam. Scam projects are the ones where the dev team and/or the owners have runaway with the money or planned to trick many people.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when a project fails you as abounty hunter or investor on: October 30, 2019, 10:04:59 PM
As an investor or bounty hunter, you have dedicated either your funds or time for a pjoject and it turns out to be a fail project, what next?

Many at times we have come across this situations and I see a lot of negative posts from different bodies about this projects, y? Because people are hurt and have lost precious time and capital.

I suggest that whenever this situations arise, rather than telling the whole world how you messed up, tell yourself never again and pick up your pieces, go back to the drawing board and never repeat 🔂 that same action that lead you to following and supporting a failed / scam project in the first place.

Beware guys!

Many had alrey given up in this industry. It is normal if one person will want to quit after experiencing a loss in a round. But I also hope that if someone wishes to take a break from everything here in cryoto industry, will come back once again in the future. I hope he will continue hid dream and passion. To be an investor, is difficult and tiring. Yet if you really love what you're doing, and it is not greed that drives you, you sure will succeed in the future.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Asia can be the biggest crypto market on: October 30, 2019, 04:54:38 PM
maybe more crypto investors from continental Europe and America. but actually Asia is the biggest market for crypto because it has the most populous countries like China, India and Indonesia. and more importantly, Asia also has fairly stable internet access at the moment, unlike Africa which is still having trouble getting to the internet. many business models that can be applied there, especially in the financial sector such as payment instruments. but why the reality isn't what I imagined. at present crypto is only a notion and there is no real use that can really be applied to crypto except investment.

many think it's all because of the Regulation, but I don't think so. Regulations can be changed and there are currently no regulations that actually prohibit crypto. so this is not the main reason.

then what do you think?

Most Asian countries are still in developing stage. Some manage to successfully urbabized its central community just like Singapore and Japan. Those countries observe proper behavior for its citizens. They are also advanced with tech and that included block chain technology. India and Indonesia have great potential in the crytomarket due to high manpower. Meanwhile, China made quite a news that she is about.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is IEO Profitable than ICO's? on: October 29, 2019, 11:58:41 PM
As you know IEO trend is growing but i feel IEO is profitable only for those who invested in token sale but who have purchased altcoin after launched they suffer loss majority of the investors ,as the BTT and some other altcoin examples of IEO.

The problem about ICO is that most of them are failed projects and are not listed in the exchange so you are stuck with the priceless coins in your wallet. IEO is not that more profitable than ICO, it is just that the coin is listed in the exchange. By doing so, even if the project does not meet its promise deal with the investors if earning a lot more than the capital, at least your coin will be not stuck around your cold computer forever. In IEO, you can minimize your losses faster than waiting for the exchange of the ICO.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: less interest of investors to buy ICO on: October 29, 2019, 11:28:24 PM
now i see how many days ico appears and the result is a kind of war between ico to attract investors.
whereas I see that pre-sales to the public, ico are hardly in accordance with their targets, even to touch soft caps, it's very difficult.

Do you think that mastah caused ico not to be expected?

ICO's reputation have plunged down because of scams and many failed projects. The market lost its hype because it's repeating all over again where the projects are getting public interest but lacks proper implementation of their goals and promise to the investors. The scams also did a number in the industry, causing negative trust to many good and legit projects as a whole.
