A little little bit disappointed we did not get to Game 7 but at the same time, really happy I took a bet, even if it was not so big, but you know sometimes you have to just put money to make things happen Wink

I also think Curry's 3-point shooting percentage will be one of the deciding factors here.  If Boston wanted to extend the series, they need to shut down any three points attempt by the Warriors.

34 points from Curry, as was thought possible! I do feel sorry for Jaylen who also got 34 points (which is actually more impressive since that is over one third of Celtic points total).

good choice, I didn't used to share my bet slips, but agree on winner tonight, and that tonight the season will end
Warriors chocked in first match, but it was that one quarter in all this final, that they played bad, all other matches were good, and one lose was expected

Curry is probably worth decision, but I haven't play on points so far, and would not start now either, do you know what are score-line odds for Curry tonight?

Sorry did not reply this in time but odds were not so good with that as he was/is on form. Finally won MVP also, and most of the talk from last week was about him deserving it whether or not Warriors win but this is now moot point Smiley
243  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin's historical correlation with traditional markets begins to weaken on: June 16, 2022, 12:08:43 PM
I wish this post was true,,, but today we are experiencing a really bad period so far especially because ETH is now below the 2017 ATH,,, and to be living in a time when you are holding ETH that was more valuable 5 years ago, that is something of a warning to BTC.

And yes ETH case is probably the merging news but Bitcoin also dropping is all pointing to stock market and inflation news effects. Tough week for everyone.

I believe it will not make a difference for the past and current Bull/Bear cycles for Bitcoin. It will be the same 4-year cycle repeating over and over and over until another breakthrough that's truly better replaces Bitcoin. If Bitcoin crashes below 2017's ATH, then it's only an illustration of the high volatility of the market during 2017.

The cycle will for sure continue,,, I believe in it but whether I do or not, it will happen. All markets move in cycles.

But how the cycle happens, the period in between, how high the ATH and how low the floor,,, all of this will be different.

We already saw how "small" the peak for Bitcoin was this cycle. We already see how bad the lows are for ETH this cycle (lower than the last ATH).

Anyway, as you said, this Bitcoin event is a reflection of high market volatility in 2017, but that was also a stock market correlation.

I think it is enough,,, so crazy that such an amount is not seen as enough. Everton have been spending a lot already and they now have a small problem that the wage bill is high and they need to perform plus the new stadium took on a lot more debt also,,, they need to find a way to break into Champions League football so they need every bit they can get. Stake hopes the same of course and this is part of the gamble Wink

What it actually does for crypto I cannot say,,, but it cannot be harmful Smiley
You have to remember, teams can have big debts, because they have big revenue, the amount of money Everton makes in a single year is astonishing, do not get me started on teams like City or LFC. Which means that, they could have 100 million debt today, pay only 20 million of that, and have 120 million next year because of overspending, and keep going like that (until they turn out to be like Barcelona eventually).

Not really. Everton and Newcastle suddenly went into debt because they have big and rich owners who had a lot of capital, not revenue. Do not get confused with the two. If you only base your borrowing on revenue, which is under 200 million for Everton,,, you could not borrow much, because revenue - expenses = net income and that is so little.

But with CAPITAL.

With the capital their owners had,,, they put it up as collateral to borrow money from banks and THEN buy new players or like Everton, build a new stadium. This was to GROW the revenue to pay off debts and investment and win prizes.

United did the same, their rich American owners even put up the club assets as collateral to borrow a lot of money. The revenue being big was a prize not the reason for borrowing.

Get out. Move on. Leave this guy.
The sad part is that I still see people taking a big leap of faith hoping that he's going to be the good guy. These people are hoping for nothing and they should have just leave him and accept that the money they've invested are gone forever.
It's hard to accept that fact from these investors especially if they've invest huge amount of their savings and they've trusted this con until he had shown his true self.

The sad part is not that people believe guys like him can be good. The sad part is that most of these people actually knew the risk and knew they were part of a bubble,,, and just wanted to get in and get out before it popped. I mean come on 20% APY on stablecoin,,, was that not a sign it was a ponzi?

I think I feel sorry for newbies but the truth is a lot of investors knew it was a gamble and got in thinking they could outsmart others. Unrealistic profit comes at expense of others. People must know this.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 16, 2022, 08:02:26 AM
I guess I got fooled too by Ferrari hyping it to be their year, and when I saw their new car I was very confident that they would win the title, but at this stage it looks difficult. Also I feel that Ferrari needs to to do a deep introspection as to why they keep losing, and implement drastic changes to arrest this losing pattern.

Exactly,,, but do not worry you are not the only one for sure. I do not really follow the sports but everyone who was alive in the past 20 years knows about Ferrari and just like in football,,, you always feel like the sleeping giant will one day wake up with a big sining.

But as football cautions us,,, not all talents are going to perform, if the backroom club does not also change their ways and win. This is perfectly the description of Ferrari right now.

I know the best outcome is Celtics to win so we have an exciting Game 7 but I think Curry will do this one big,,, again! I inserted a few other things for multibet, odds seemed too low Wink

But he will never do anything like this,,, if there is anything anyone can take as a lesson from history of altcoin scammers and of Do Kwon himself, it is that he is sticking around to make even more money from all the believers.

I already said before I do not feel sorry for Luna holders but if you guys are reading this,,, please stop the nightmare and stop enriching project devs. Get out and move on.
Yeah, he's not really going to do anything like this. He's made money out of people's mone so why pay the damages that he has done. Let the government of South Korea deal with him and charge everything that they have to charge against him.
Kwon have probably planned all of this, he made a hype by purchasing continously of bitcoin before the bear market and that sure made him fame but he's got a dark plan behind it.

Not 'not really',,, just never. He has already done this before. Why would he change his plans and be good all of a sudden when he has already made so much money, just like before?

I keep saying he has done it before, Luna is not his first scam, not even the first new scam. He did it exactly same in 2021, and again in 2022 with new project and now a third project (at least that we know about).

Get out. Move on. Leave this guy.
252  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: June 15, 2022, 08:17:53 AM
the stake is doing a lot for cryptocurrencies, but talking about the sponsorship of everton I would say that it could be another team that in the next season may be relegated, in my opinion the stake if it had managed to sponsor a team like aston villa would have made the best choice , because at least they would be guaranteed that they would not be at risk of sponsoring a team that would be at risk of being relegated. But going back to everton I hope that lampard manages to at least get everton not relegated, I doubt that everton will be able to occupy any prominent place in the next season. I say this because the newcastle, aston villa, tottenham, arsenal, manchester united, liverpool, city, chelsea west ham will take all the prominent places

'The Stake'? Wink

I know Everton were fighting relegation this season, but they were too good to drop, they had a few truly bad games but they made it out and I honestly cannot see them moving back into bottom three fight this season,,, seriously. Every team has a bad patch but it would be highly unlikely that the team fighting for top 4 two seasons ago has another run of bad luck.

Villa and Everton are equally not at risk, so not sure why you say it like this. You realize Everton only relegated TWO times in their history and the last time was 1950?

Villa relegated in 1987, and then in 2016 and stayed there until 2018. How long you watching EPL?
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 15, 2022, 06:44:08 AM
Max failed to finish 2 races this year, and he still has 34 points lead. He had only one race in monaco where he didn't finish first, in which he was third, and aside from that he always finished first on all races he saw the flag.

I am guessing that Ferrari should reconsider their strategy, not that they have zero chance to win it this year, but they definitely do not look that great anymore neither. Even with a better car, which it was for a while, they still failed to win, and that shows so much for them. Hell RBR even had a terrible pitstop to give them a chance, and yet they still failed. I am sorry but if you can't win in these circumstances, then maybe it is not meant to be.

It's cos Leclerc hasn't finished a couple of races himself.  One in Spain and the other just happened at Azerbaijan...

And it looks like Leclerc might really have a power unit change and he could get at least a 10 grid penalty.  The books have gotten a lot sharper.  Leclerc to get pole at quali is at 1.65 and Verstappen to win the race is at 1.75.

No value in this market imho.  Will the winning margin be more than 10 seconds?  That one is at 2.35.

I think a lot of people got fooled by Ferrari, and if I am not mistaken, last year also there was a lot of nostalgic sentimental news about Schumacher and then yeah, the promises, the talents, everything was supposed to combine well.

But the team/engineers just really let LeClerc down.

Not falling for winning margin +10 seconds. This is not Baku Wink
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: June 15, 2022, 06:08:19 AM
It depends on what you mean by 'responsible'. The man was fully responsible for his actions,,, unless a medical doctor diagnoses him as unable to make his own decisions, maybe a severe gambling addiction plus mental incapacity or something.

But the state also is responsible for negligence.

I remember at a casino I used to promote (I still play daily) withdrawals would take a long time, and you could play with the balance that was not yet withdrawed. People complained,,, they said the casino purposely left the balance there so the users could gamble it away.

I always felt both sides share responsibility. Casino for taking advantage of gambler bad habits and players for having bad discipline.
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io UEFA Nations League Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: June 15, 2022, 04:47:44 AM
England do not deserve their reputation. Italy do not deserve either.
Finalists of Europe.
Both the leagues I spend the most time on.

Shameful!!

Haha totally totally pure disbelief. France was 1.55 to win this game and come on, that was supposed to be amazing value because the French desperately needed to win and Croatia was supposed to be lucky in the previous win not playing at their full strength.

Unfortunately for me,,, I did not continue to bet on Croatia but I should have. Really disappointed I went the other way AGAIN for a favorite and lost.

I also had France to get a narrow win but I think that Croatia deserved the win,in the last two games they are turning back to their normal being,a great team and they can beat anyone now.Denmark I think is the head of the group and without a doubt will continue to be so until the end of the competition.

No one can say that Croatia is or was lucky, yesterday night they completely dominated the game and the score maybe could have been even better. Most probably they will make it to the Nations League finals which as far as I know are planned for 2023.

Oh no I did not say Croatia was lucky that last game against France, but perhaps the one before that, a few fine moments and they were in. On the other hand I would not see any group stage result as an indicator of finals performance.

So you say Denmark will be winning the group, but Croatia will make it to finals? Which one? Only group winners in League A go to the finals Wink

Isn't that enough though? I mean we are talking about something that Stake did, so it is definitely helping them out first, or at least "should" help them out. 10 million is not a small amount and I do not know if they will make 10 million back from this Everton deal, but I know that there are some whales who will lose a ton of money so it should be fine for them in the long run. Remember, this is the place where Drake plays too, so there could be some people losing millions anyway. Secondly, even if stake is getting the biggest share of the benefits, could we say that crypto gets none? I do not think so, this puts crypto to a whole new pedestal for sure.

257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: June 14, 2022, 09:11:36 AM
@leea-1334 It was the best UFC event ever I think and even Chael Sonnen a former fighter from Bad Guy Inc was saying that main event was the greatest he had ever seen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Plxs7RS86Og

Micheal Bisping was mentioning about how they were all great fights from start to finish:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRT5U61hyw4
Joanna retired from the UFC and at the end of the fight she laid her gloves down on the ring floor to show this as her last fight.
She has been fighting for the past 20 years. She must of started really young in her teens because she doesn't look that old.
But she was a character as you can see from those face-offs you posted the link too.
Here is the youtube video of all the post-fight interviews having the fighters answering questions about how they felt on how it all went down:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaePaBHIT38

As for the new light heavyweight champion Jiri, I liked his response to how he handled the fight and what happened in the ring for him to finish it very late like that:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n36KyxNnEA

Yes, it seemed like it turned out to be such a big event, funny that as I said maybe here or somewhere else my local news is not covering it much but after the fight, I saw most papers showed photos from the event.

I guess sometimes marketing fails to reach us here.

Joanna is so amazing half her life fighting but I do see the effects on her face and body, it must be such a torture despite looking like having a fit body. Not so much how old she looks I agree she looks pretty good but the facial injuries you can see.

Amazing days!

He came from Argentina in Sai Paulo on loan from Deportivo Maldonado, but the played in Europe before also on loan.
Calleri paid of very good for now.

Cool,,, really good to know so he has been in Europe already, it feels quite strange usually for a player from South America to go back there after already playing abroad, usually this only happens when you are about to retire or play out your golden days in the clubs where you grew up.

Anyway good win vs america MG, I would bet on them again, probably I would end up with better luck than international games like you.

@darxiaomi I did not know from your name you are Argentinian Smiley Which part if I can ask? Deportivo Maldonado sounds like one of the Russian oligarch teams Wink

user PL Guru (also known as jim carrey lol) was the only who predicted 1-0 Croatia... congrats 🤝

I just cannot believe it that I got both scores wrong yesterday.
Still can't believe Portugal did not manage to at least score one goal and get away with a draw.
I'm livid that France are losing
the magic of the Nations League. Pure disbelief  Wink

Deschamps is very lucky the WC is right around the corner and that everyone downplays the nations league, otherwise, they would've sacked him last month... Croatia though are looking great lately (except for the 0-3 to Austria, a glitch in the matrix, tbh), really hope they make it to the Nations League Finals

Haha totally totally pure disbelief. France was 1.55 to win this game and come on, that was supposed to be amazing value because the French desperately needed to win and Croatia was supposed to be lucky in the previous win not playing at their full strength.

I already said before I do not feel sorry for Luna holders but if you guys are reading this,,, please stop the nightmare and stop enriching project devs. Get out and move on.
Yes, it was done, Luna has turned to scam and even the devs will come up with another way to rebuild their reputation, yet it was ruined already and investors will never forget about it. In fact, they used to have forked but seems it never change the mindset of the people, it still dump and get worsen. I'd never know if there is someone who can afford to hold Luna, I guess everyone is moving out from this scam project.

It did not 'turn to scam' though. It was already a scam from the beginning (look up Do Kwon previous project before Luna). Exact same mechanism exact same depegging exact same exit.

So this Luna 2.0 is at least the third time he is scamming people,,, as I keep saying often. Shitcoins are shitcoins. They do not turn to scam,,, they are scams from the start just waiting to happen!
