2401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 27, 2020, 06:05:28 AM
LOL... India finally got a wicket. Virat Kohli was getting restless up there and had asked Mohammad Shami to bowl against Warner and Finch. Shami did his job and got Warner. Now the advantage for India is that they got two right-handed batsmen at the crease (Smith and Finch). And also, Smith takes a bit of time initially to settle in and this gives Kohli some breathing space to bring back Saini and Bumrah.

Yeah, Australia will score over 300 runs today. I hope they will be able to give more than 315 runs target.
If Pnadya is only included in the team as a batsman, then it is foolish decision for the Indian team management. Pandya is definitely a good finisher. But many better Batman than him is sitting on the bench. I thought Pandya was included in the team as an all-rounder.

I still believe that the inclusion of Pandya was a positive move. India needs someone who could score at a rate of 2 runs per ball during the final overs. Hardik suits that role better than anyone else. Theoretically, you can argue that Shubman Gill or Sanju Samson could have done a better job. But both these batsmen are more suitable for the top order, and they don't have much international experience.

For watching the match live online lots of option out there, Live Streaming Apps is like very affordable, however for Indian customers Hotstar VIP could be best solution. Free and premium soccer streaming sites, like on SonyLiv. Australia and India's ODI series are taking place on 27th of November means today so prepare and you can utilize VPN if necessary.

Nope. Hotstar is not covering this series. I believe they have a partnership with Star Sports. When Star Sports have the TV rights for a particular series, Hotstar will get the online streaming rights. But this series is being covered by SONY-TEN, who have their own streaming platform (SONY-LIV). I watched the IPL on Hotstar, and their coverage was good. Never tried SONY LIV, but I have heard that their quality is good as well.
2404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin after making new ATH? on: November 27, 2020, 04:40:04 AM
It is not going to be a smooth ride. I expect a lot of bumps and obstacles on way. Before reaching a new ATH, we are likely to witness several phases of correction, some of which may extend for a few weeks or even months. There will be a lot of panic selling as well, especially from the new users. Repeated bouts of price correction will make sure that only serious investors remain in the Bitcoin sector.
2405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 27, 2020, 04:26:59 AM
I partially agree with you. The main purpose of IPL is to provide funds for BCCI. And at the end of every ipl we see BCCI got an huge amount of revenue from ipl in an era. You said that new players are being sought in the Ranji Trophy. You are right. But whether those players are suitable for the national team is tested in IPL.  Because all the best players in the world play in IPL.

IPL is just like a mini-T20 World Cup, because you may find the best players from all over the world. And that's the reason why it may be logical to increase the overseas player limit to 5. It will remove the useless players such as Kedar Jadhav, and replace them with quality international players.

During IPL 2020, I noticed a large number of quality international players, who didn't got enough opportunities due to the 4-player limit. Some of them are Mitchell Santner, Imran Tahir, Sandeep Lamichhane, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Hardus Viljoen, Mitchell McClenaghan, Adam Zampa, Mohammad Nabi and Fabian Allen.
2406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 27, 2020, 04:19:13 AM
The bouncy pitch will certainly put some batsmen under pressure, but Australia will benefit more. The main reason for this is that they are used to playing on this type of pitch. Their bowlers are too experienced to bowl on this type of pitch. Although India has two trump cards, Burmah and Shami. Still, I don't think they can play better than the Australian bowlers

Why not? Both Bumrah and Shami are in excellent form, as seen from the IPL. On the other hand, the Australian bowlers (Cummins, Starc.etc) are not doing that great. I would say that right now the Indian bowlers have an advantage over their Australian counterparts. If they could settle in with the Australian conditions quickly, then the Australian batsmen will be in trouble.
2407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 27, 2020, 04:09:17 AM
India has arranged a squad very well. We all know the Australian pitch is more suitable for pace bowlers. They have 3 pacers in the squad. Although Saini is less experienced, I hope she will not disappoint us.
Can you tell me, where I can watch the match live online?

Depends on the country. If you are a resident of India, then you can watch the action live on JioTV (you need to have a JIO mobile connection). JioTV is 100% free and you can just login using the Jio mobile number (either prepaid or postpaid). A paid stream is available from Sony LIV as well (subscription will cost you ₹999 for 12 months). For the other countries, I am not sure who are holding the rights to stream the matches.
2408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your seed? on: November 27, 2020, 03:59:09 AM
Unlike most of the users here, I have stored my seed online. I know that there is always a risk of someone hacking in and stealing the seed, but I believe I have taken all the necessary precautions. Even if there is a chance, it is going to be extremely low (like 0.000001%). I am not very comfortable with writing down the seed on paper and physically storing it. IMO, it carries a greater risk.
2409  Economy / Economics / Re: In COVID-19 everyone needs motivation on: November 27, 2020, 03:49:59 AM
My motivation is to look for opportunities.  The modern world is changing.  The old leaves, the new appears.  The main changes are digitalization, virtual reality and genetic modification.  I want to be adequate to the new world.  I understand that I need to constantly learn.  Learn something new.  The world will never be the same, the Covid-19 pandemic is the border between the past and the future.  However, I look to the future with hope.

Digital technology got a big boost with all the lockdowns and other restrictions. Things are unlikely to go back to the old normal, even if the pandemic is contained within the next few months. Anyway, here in my place there is an old saying. It goes like this - every setback brings a new opportunity. And I feel that it is right. The pandemic situation has resulted in a lot of opportunities as well.
2410  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: November 27, 2020, 03:37:19 AM
There are tons of freelancing sites out there, where you can get payments for simple tasks such as captcha entry or manual data entry. The only problem is that the rates are extremely low. For example, if you fill out 1,000 captcha words, then you can expect to earn anywhere from $0.50 to $1.50 (try MegaTypers, ProTypers, 2Captcha.etc). But then, you always have the option of improving your skillset, if you want better rates.

It is natural that the pay will be too low because there are no skills needed to complete the job. Who can expect too high without having any skills? Even hoe laborers who only use muscles are paid low pay. But that's also good advice, thank you, friends. Maybe I will try it soon because I have very free time to try the site since my economic pandemic is very bad, but the cost of living still has to be paid.

Maybe you can try these sites for one or two days and decide whether it is worth working for them. I would never consider them, because the pay scale is too low. This is akin to slavery. I would never agree to work for such low wages. But then, if you are that desperate, there is nothing wrong in giving it a try. A better option would be to improve your skill set, so that you can qualify for better paying jobs.
2411  Economy / Economics / Re: Still confused why bitcoin is so bullish? on: November 27, 2020, 03:26:05 AM
Why should anyone get confused? Unlike the last time (2017), this time the reasons for the rally in exchange rates is known to all. On top of that, several top financial advisors have come up with their own predictions, claiming that Bitcoin would be priced in the $300,000-$400,000 range by the end of next year. So don't get confused.. because the bull run has just started.
2412  Economy / Economics / Re: Paypal bought up to 70% of all the newly mined bitcoin recently on: November 27, 2020, 03:16:30 AM
They probably have that intention to create their exchange as PayPal ever want to acquire crypto-firm.
PayPal is a good thing to support Bitcoin adoption although users can't withdraw their bitcoin at the moment, but who knows if they will have that feature someday if the company really create or buy a crypto exchange.

PayPal is having billions of $$$ in reserve funds available and they can easily acquire medium-level exchanges and other cryptocurrency ventures. My biggest fear is that they may try to acquire Binance or Blockchain.com, which may have a very negative impact on the users of these platforms. What will happen, if PayPal acquires Blockchain.com, and then asks all the users to update their KYC?
2413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 26, 2020, 06:01:36 PM
IPL is really created to find the young talents in India and we also have to accept that it changed the cricket era to the next level after the introduction of IPL but now IPL is now turning into more business than sports so we may see the increase in the overseas player limit but I don't think there will be an increase in the teams because they tried it in the past but it didn't worked.

Nope. IPL was not created to find young talent. We have various domestic tournaments, especially the Ranji Trophy to do that job. The main purpose of the IPL is to provide funds to the BCCI, so that they can develop the domestic cricket tournaments. IPL was always a business and will be so for the remainder of its lifespan. They are considering increasing the number of teams to 9, and a number of industry heavyweights (especially Adani and Goenka) are making their moves. Let's see whether the new team will be permitted from 2021 or not.
2414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 and its impact on gambling on: November 26, 2020, 04:46:35 PM
The results of elections in many countries raise a lot of questions. In my opinion, the use of outside observers, video surveillance cannot ensure control over elections and the day has come when people should think that in order to ensure greater transparency in elections, it is simply necessary to use blockchain technology. This is the only way for every voter to check if their vote was stolen.

Any attempt to do that would be painted as "voter suppression" and liberal Democrat mouthpieces such as CNN, CNBC and MSNBC would go ballistic. For Republicans, what they need to do is quite simple. Voter fraud is unlikely to give more than 0.1% to 0.5% advantage for the Democrats. So if they could make up for that, from a higher turnout among their supporters, then they can easily win the elections in swing states.
2415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To be Fair I think bitcoin will go highest highs and then will collapse on: November 26, 2020, 04:32:05 PM
Considering that it almost touches the ATH few days back but from there on if we look slowly it started falling only and today went below 17k and now around the same price it is trading. So if we see this sort of thing happened in 2017 as well when it kept on falling and if it further falls then it may drag even below 15k which means going from bad to worse which we do not want to see that happen.

I was expecting a major correction before the new ATH, so at least for me this is not very surprising. The basics are still strong, and this means that even if there is a temporary dip, the prices are going to rebound in a short while. My only advice would be not to indulge in panic selling. The rally has just started, and if you sell your coins now, then you may regret about it later.
2416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 26, 2020, 04:22:46 PM
If cricket is included then i would like the ICC to follow the FIFA rules where they have players that are young and three players above that age and since it is a global event you need to have the best representation possible to introduce the game to the larger audience and thereby create interest and if cricket is including i am sure many teams will give importance to cricket to win a medal.

I am pretty sure that it is not going to happen in my lifetime. There have been various delaying tactics from the ICC, to prevent the inclusion of cricket in the Olympics. The real problem is that the ICC is headed by money-minded businessmen such as Greg Barclay, who have no background of cricket. On the other hand, FIFA is headed by former international players, who always think about increasing the popularity of the game. Inclusion of cricket in Olympics would result in huge spike in popularity and government funding. But for now the ICC is not interested in those things.
2417  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will increase 20X in the next 5 years on: November 26, 2020, 04:12:18 PM
Why do these predictions seem more ridiculous every time?

No. Now the predictions are making more sense. If you want a really ridiculous prediction, then you can refer to the one made by John McAfee. He claimed that the exchange rates would hit $1 million by the end of 2020. But recent predictions by various individuals have been made after careful studies. One of them is the prediction made by Tom Fitzpatrick of CitiBank, who claim that Bitcoin prices can potentially climb to $318,000 per coin by December 2021. The one made by Dan Tapiero also makes a lot of sense.
2418  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Supreme Court Cuomo Religious Decision on: November 26, 2020, 12:30:01 PM
John Roberts, the Chief Justice, dissented and voted with the liberal members of the court.

I think by now we can safely consider John Roberts to be a liberal "torchbearer", in the league of Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor and (late) Ruth Bader Ginsburg. And this is also one of the reasons why the conservatives needs to be thankful to Donald Trump. In just four years, he managed to place three conservative justices in the SCOTUS. None of the recent Republican presidents managed to do that. Let's not forget the fact that one of the most liberal judges in the history of the SCOTUS (David Souter) was appointed by a Republican president. John Roberts, although not a die-hard liberal like Souter was also appointed by a Republican president.

But the liberal media would tell Americans that they should support the RINO wing of the GOP (John McCain, Bush Sr., Bush Jr,  Romney.etc) rather than supporting true conservatives such as Trump. John McCain managed 173 electoral votes in POTUS 2008. Romney got 206 four years later. Trump outperformed both of them (in 2016, as well as in 2020) despite the media going ballistic against him.
2419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance hits 65%, alts lagging behind on: November 26, 2020, 12:19:09 PM
This thread is already more than a year old, but the dominance hasn't change  Dominance:BTC 61.6% it goes down a small percentage but I expect this to go up when it hit another all time high, it could go up as high 70% or even higher now that Bitcoin is all set to go to the moon.

I am not sure. So many new coins have come to the market during the last 12-24 months and many of them are in the top-10 and top-20 lists. Examples are Chainlink, Polkadot and Wrapped Bitcoin. And when new coins enter the market, they will obviously poach in to the existing market cap of other coins. So I would naturally expect the Bitcoin dominance to go down.
2420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 26, 2020, 12:08:09 PM
And how do you or authorities propose the idea about spreading cricket without any fund? Inclusion in Olympic is one option and adding more teams in ICC tournament is another. Is ICC ready to take financial loss if one ICC tournament fails similar to 2007 world cup? Killing bilateral series and adding ICC tournament every year is not the right options. If it helps then they could pitch the idea of including U-19 or U-21 cricket teams in Olympic.

Obviously no one really expect cricket boards to field their full-strength sides, if cricket is ever included in the Olympics. I would prefer the format approved by FIFA for Olympics football tournament. They have a maximum age limit of 23 years (which has been extended to 24 for the Tokyo Olympics). This would mean that younger players will get the opportunity to showcase their skills, in front of large audiences. However, FIFA allows three over-age players in the playing XI for each team.
