2421  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How often do you change your indicators? on: December 27, 2021, 03:57:39 PM
When I started to trade, I began to try out and trade mostly out of multiple indicators. Like a lot and find different indicators that I feel suit my taste and made me think that it will be a successful setup or something. As time goes by and I experience a lot of different market volatility, it's better to stick with sound risk management and consistency. Because you couldn't get a 100% setup with anything in trading, the risk should be controlled, and it has been the best strategy ever since.
2422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Pi Coins on: December 27, 2021, 03:33:18 PM
With all the things that have happened over the years. From hearing it from crypto groups long before it has become mainstream and up to now, there's no specific progress. There are just some more people who will input their information and get their information mined and probably sold to the highest bidder.

The developers are the ones who profited and benefitted from it. I know their application has ads in it, and of course, when there are ads, there's money involved, and they are probably raking a lot of it for having millions of users press "Mine" every day.

It could only have value if people were buying. It's the market that dictates the price.
2423  Economy / Economics / Re: Corporations use inflation as an excuse to raise prices and fatten profits on: December 27, 2021, 03:23:19 PM
I think we need to accept that businesses/corporations wouldn't change anything if they are profiting from it. So if raising prices to enlarge their profit margins is the way for them to make more, you can bet that it would continue. So it's the behavior of the people in charge in the corporations are the culprit. I think that's why monopolies shouldn't stay in power for too long because they can have that power. Or if the monopoly practices the decentralization applications of any types, then it could set a standard towards the economy.

I think this is the reason why stocks are rising as well in price because the general trend that we have, if we based on historical data too that the reason for inflation is wanting to profit more by businesses and every other thing will follow.
2424  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 27, 2021, 03:12:25 PM
how the approval process went, where the funds from the fund will be spent? For example, everything you paid for, bought and then donated, how does the whole process go?
I guess you need to talk with cabalism, explain to him what is your idea and he approves funds for that? did you have to show him exactly how much it would cost, did you show him the bills for the things you bought, or did you work roughly and trust each other on the word?
It's basically how you explained it. It's more of what you can do or the idea of how you will do it then that's it.

And because today crwth distrusted Timelord2067 he says this is DT Trust abuse. Is that so? Because if so he is a total lunatic. I thought it was about the consumption of potent marijuana or hallucinogenic drugs, but now I doubt if it is not because he is not taking medication for schizophrenia or something like that.
I'm just really weirded out on the things he is saying that are not related to the topic at hand. When I posted my side here, he focused on the part where it's not related to the subject of this topic. I specifically posted there "Back to the main point" and still didn't focus on it immediately.
2425  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can you really predict Bitcoin at this time on: December 27, 2021, 09:10:48 AM
I like the idea from both sides whether the price can go up or not, it's still going to be an all-out war to which side will win. The most crucial aspect of prediction is that it will never be correct unless the price shows it. Anything can happen, whether it's in the long-term or short-term. But mostly, the winners would be in the long-term because it has gone up ever since the creation of BTC.

This is always going to be a gamble, and the critical part is the part where you know the risk you are taking towards the speculation you have.
2426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How do I calculate average entry price w/ lots of DCA & partial profit taking? on: December 27, 2021, 08:50:40 AM
Basically, averaging would be easy. You just need the total amount of trades and the actual values of your entries. Add all the values of the entry price and then divide the total amount number of trades. You will get the AEP or Average Entry Price.

Code:
AEP = Sum of entry prices/Total number of trades

It's not going to valuate on the oldest trade alone, it's going to take the entirety, as long as you are in the same pair.
2427  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 27, 2021, 02:24:45 AM
@crwth, Didn't you know what's going on with the charity fund, escrow contract wasn't in its way & if any corruption on going? Did you know anything? If yes, why didn't you alert the community about it? Don't you think you should share with the community about things that are not going accordingly? It's great that you have provided some documents which are real; to me it's real.
I don't know anything when it comes to decisions of the funds. All I'm focused on is the funds allocated to me and making sure that activities were done.

Okay, let's look at it this way:  (these receipts aren't on the spreadsheet posted just above BTW)
I don't think you have looked at the spreadsheet enough. It's there with a link.

Three scrunched up receipts from eleven months ago.  Two are hand written with no contact details and a vague letter "C" as if that's supposed to explain all.
A lot of businesses here in our country do it like that.

Then receipt 0367 in image three has the wording: This document is not valid for claim of input taxes."

Did it occur to you on reading (the tax disclaimer) that you might run into difficulties later on down the track if there were an audit of your expenditure?
Probably the business is non-VAT or something.

For the other 2 receipts: can you specify what it was for?
The second one is for the bags for the contents of the goods to be in for distribution. 2nd one is the lunch meal that we had before the distribution of the goods in different locations.

I'm curious: what's your opinion (now) on the way cabalism13 and bL4nkcode handled this?
I think it could've been handled better.

Seeing as crwth is keen to answer questions, here's one that's remained unanswered for a while:
How can you say it's unanswered? DireWolfM14 has contacted me with this long before and I did help him with what I could provide.
2428  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 25, 2021, 02:35:12 PM
Sorry if this is true but what this has to do with the proof you were supposed to post here?
The reason why I haven't been posting too much. If you were having symptoms, you need to at least isolate yourself for a couple of weeks, 14 days to be exact here. So of course my actions were limited and had to be verified again if I have covid etc.

The image is dated on 23rd December while this thread has been posted on 11th December. By the way, such images can be easily made up, faked or what's not?
TBH, this is not really the point of the post though. Why are you focusing on this?

You have provided some receipts, do they really prove anything? I really don't think so.
What else do you suggest?

I've been sitting on the fence here (very uncomfortable) and honestly can't figure out what crwth is accused of. There were pictures provided of activities that seemed legit. I don't think the original thread promised detailed receipts.
I believe this is where the charity should be improved upon if it were to continue.
2429  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 25, 2021, 01:47:56 PM
I think many of us in the thread expected something like this from you and the others but it's been a while.
I appreciate all your efforts in understanding and that's why I put the first part of what happened with me on to why I wasn't able to.

So you had a "PCR" test which is just another name for a "Covid test" that literally millions of people globally are taking each and every week.  According to the form, "the patient" requested it, not "a Doctor".
Good for those who get tested every time. I got tested because I got symptoms of suspected covid. Having fever, diarrhea, body pains is not a joke. This is to verify if you have covid, I consulted a doctor first and it was recommended as well, if you want to see the medical prescription, PM me. That's not the main point of the thread though.
2430  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 25, 2021, 11:58:01 AM
Sorry, it took quite a long time to post again here. Really had a hard time IRL because I got sick and needed to be isolated from my family and work. If you noticed, my posting rates are down because of this and what I’m going through personally, and I do hope you guys understand that to be part of a signature campaign like this is important to me because it helps with my personal expenses.

I know this shouldn’t be an excuse, but this is really what happened and it’s my fault for not posting and updating for a while and I hope that I’m making it up to you guys by posting here.

If you guys are interested in my tests, here it is. I could send the result if you are interested. Thankfully it’s now negative, good for the holidays.

Back to the main point

Here is a link for my expenses.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PupnusqpO1FJIWPztyX0SfdGYcCubIbF94e3jldW3Fo/edit?usp=sharing

This is a copy of the spreadsheet that was posted, and I just copied my part on it.
It’s going to be quite different from what is previously posted because I haven’t seen the receipt back then and I had to search the internet first for the prices of the items I included in the package.

The balance that I received and converted to PHP

For the receipts, I did manage to recover some. The thermal paper in supermarkets always has this tendency to fade right away.

You can see the breakdown in the spreadsheet.

You know, I was really trying to help because my intention for this is good and to be tied up and accused of different stuff feels so demotivating. It just made it feel even sadder and harder to defend if all they see is the negative ones and not praise the ones that have been done already.

You know the sad thing about this is that once you thought of somebody not logging in, it’s already a burned account or something but that’s not always the case. Thank you to those who have posted good stuff first and try to understand at first why it’s happening. It’s really what makes the community amazing, TBH.

I do hope to continue this and possibly with better guidance at the helm to prevent this situation again. Together as a community, we aim to be better and help a lot more people in the future.

Happy holidays to everyone.

2432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most speculative altcoin of the moment on: December 19, 2021, 11:21:12 AM
It does look intriguing to have to invest in the mainstream altcoins that we have now, especially the ones relating to the metaverse vision by almost everyone. I'm always bullish on the NFT games with tie-ups or related ones. It's incredible to see how much it could be viewed upon once it has risen to the occasion and prove that it's the right coin. As of now, the NFT game I'm looking forward to is Illuvium. ILV. Definitely not an advice.
2433  Other / Off-topic / Re: Thoughts on the Metaverse craze ( for concerts ) on: December 19, 2021, 08:19:19 AM
I think the idea is there entirely, it's just that the execution needs work but it's definitely progress IMO. It might not be the best thing yet but maybe will get there. I think the whole idea of the metaverse is good with all that's happening but it's going to be a challenge to make everyone like it because it's different when it comes to the real thing. It can improve for sure but it's a start.

I didn't know that it's already being offered like that though.
2434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun Is Retiring From Tron. on: December 18, 2021, 06:19:48 AM
I agree with what he wants that entirely relying on the U.S. market will lead you to more uncertainties that could negatively impact your life. I am curious about what he could do with his influence in the crypto market. It's no joke that he has a lot of things that have been done in the past, but I think it has helped crypto somehow.

For the growth of Tron, it would depend on who will lead it for sure.
2435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2earn games on: December 16, 2021, 01:03:59 PM
Play to earn games are quite new In a sense of what we have been doing over the past years with how games are being played. Previously, it is all about paying to play but now you play the earn because there are a lot of people not able to give money to play the game and find investors and they have the opportunity to invest in something that could profit and benefit with them in the long run.

The area is quite new so there are probably going to be a lot more games to be created and probably have better and more rewarding type of game.
2436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warning regarding Luckywins on: December 15, 2021, 04:05:27 AM
Upon looking upon the site. It does look legit, and it seems legit. Not just some made-up casino site that is preying for your money and never let you withdraw the balance kind. But I would never check if I couldn't read this the validity of a license of the online casino.

Is there some way that you could verify the validity of their license on your own? Maybe do it with various casinos that have those types of licenses as well?

I think this is where blockchain could come in and save the day with all the licensing issues and easily verifiable if there is.
2437  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it a crime? on: December 14, 2021, 11:54:44 PM
If you want to improve your grammar and the way you are going to post, I suggest using an app like Grammarly, and then you can post and see the needed replacements on the words or possibly punctuations that you need to add to have a good post in English. Even capitalization would be good. It has a plagiarism checker if you want to make sure you haven't copied anything all over the web.

That's not plagiarism if you are the one who created it and just let someone fix your grammar. But then again, if you have to pay, maybe you can use what I suggested above.
2438  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading platform on: December 14, 2021, 04:16:54 PM
I'm thinking of starting out as a day trader. I'm still scouring the internet about information and tips about it, then I'll practice with paper trading.
This would probably be a great idea to have a great feel on what you could do when you're trading. It will definitely be different if you use real money instead of "fake money" with trading because that's when the emotions would set and sink in.

One question I have is about popular platforms/exchanges. From what I know, day traders make about 100+ trades a day.

Won't taker/maker fees basically wipe out your already slim profits?
That would depend on your exchange and what order you are going to use. Usually, you can get rebates when you use limit orders compared to market orders. This varies on exchanges and it would basically be dependent on the time you are going to close your trades because that's what would determine your profit. It would be something that could be big or slim.

Why would you even close your position if it's not enough to cover your fees anyway?
2439  Economy / Gambling / Re: Comparison between bitsler and stake on: December 14, 2021, 04:04:16 PM
I have played with both of the sites, and I must say that they have their advantages and disadvantages. I think this is biased with what you are trying to do, but I guess it has merit when that happens to you. I'm just having a hard time understanding everything about the copying. I don't know what specific things you are talking about, OP. Like is it everything that Bitsler does is copied?

Why only Bitsler you are attacking? Other sites want to take and take, assuming you also think that other sites are like that? Did you lose a lot of money there?
2440  Economy / Economics / Re: Robert Kiyosaki expects a market crash and economic crisis - do you believe it? on: December 14, 2021, 09:49:18 AM
We had just come from a market crash last year, and I think to reach that point again can be quite inconclusive. It's not that it's not possible, but do you think the world can still take it? I'm curious about what could trigger it again. Is it going to be another pandemic or another typical problem that we humans must face?

I'm assuming he is enjoying the current market trend now if he could buy a lot of crypto at a low price.
