I lost about ~20 BTC here  why XMR is down!!!!!! There are not enough buyers to sustain a price of say 0.008 at the moment. 24k XMR is being mined every day, at 0.008 that's 192 btc. Surely it's not all dumped on the market but it's certainly contributing to downward pressure along with people who bought higher that are now selling in panic. Nothing surprising about this, every large price increase tends to overshoot and come back down. Hopefully you still got a decent amount of BTC, buying range 0.002-0.004 is decent (buy more the lower it goes). In fact previous increase when XMR was added to poloniex took us to 0.008 and down to about 0.0017 before it turned up again. I think we're staying above 0.002 this time though. My target was .0045 as the bottom, but I'm thinking .0035-.0038 now. Anything in .002 is just to cheap. |

I have a question. It is said all over the thread that the dev is open and transparent with the premine address. We can all see the coins in the premine account. What does this really mean? Does it not just mean that we will then also just clearly see if the premine goes to 0 and dev disappears? That is all that we will see with the current method of "openness". The correct way to be open with a premine is to store it in escrow with a trusted third party like Bittrex.
Am I right or am I making a mistake somewhere?
Dev is doing it right. Whenever he is using premine he posts is and says what it was used for . Premine is going to the community and is being used correctly |

I can make a TOR stick in about 2 hours myself .. what is wrong with people This wasn't meant to offend anyone or even other development teams. I am just amazed at people's reaction to various projects. They don't seem to match the magnitude of the projects in question I don't think any real developer would take any offence to that statement at all... but then again - very few alts actually have even one real developer involved. The problem is that at least 80% of those involved in crypto (at least the alts, but probably BTC as well) even understands the blockchain at a basic level. All they understand is a 'game' where they can make money appear out of thin air via speculation and mining/dumping. That's why buzzword features generally carry more weight (at least temporarily) than actual milestone developments that will ultimately move crypto-currencies ahead as a whole - and individual currencies as a property within that whole. All they care about is whatever is being pumped at the moment so that they can realize speculative profits right now. In a year or two however, I think 99% of these coins will have disappeared (including LTC most likely). In reality the coin that actually can be used as a replacement for fiat by many people in various areas will be the only thing that matters - not whether it has some cobbled together anonymity features or an animated gif or whatever... Unfortunately, between here and there is a ton of volatility and FUD. I believed BlackCoin had what it took from the beginning... and things are only looking better and better as time goes on. Once all the suckers have blown through their 'free money' by losing it on scam after scam... they will either disappear forever - or will only invest in coins like BC/BTC and simply hold (or use) those rather than jumping from one to the next in hopes of turning a sack of crap into a pile of gold. Reason why people do not invest in Blackcoin is that they already lost to much trying to invest in this coin, if you look in the history of the chart you will see that there was only a down movement at blackcoin. Some blame Blankhand Group or IconicExpert and some blame the Blackcoin team it self for manipulating the price to much. The real problem is that Blackcoin is so full by fud and misinformation so people throw their Bitcoin's else where. One thing i can say for sure that the transparency is to low on this coin and Blackcoin can always just decide when they get any volume or not. People are not stupid and learn when they lost on the Pump and Dumps on Blackcoin. I think you nailed it perfectly. I managed to get out at 50k which wasn't bad considering I got in at the low low of this almost. Played a bit after that, but I won't touch this coin anymore...along with Cinni . Both are manipulated to much and honestly there are other better coins out there atm. I feel bad for the guy that spent 90 btc on this coin a few weeks ago. |

To make mining this coin profitable what kind of hash rate do you need to have, seem hard to mine...
Yes it is crazy tough to mine. More hashrate the better, of course. I think a gigahash would work, tho. That's a lot of 290x's |

I really wanted to like this coin. I still love the name, but I just can't get past all the premine. It's way to much and once we hit any major exchange I fear the possibility of a dev dump.
I mined this hard for 24 hours and I will be dumping it the first chance I get .
Honestly the way this was launched was a bit sloppy as well.. It might of well been ninja launched (which it sorta was anyways)
I recommend everyone be careful.
Edit: when I first saw the announcement of this coin there was a tiny premine , but right before launch is when everything changed.
sorry you are incorrect premine was never stated until launch hit. premine is for development sorry again if you feel there is something wrong but we are working. there is news coming up. Premine is always listed on the announcement, not 5 minutes before launch. Why don't you go ahead and make the premine address public? |
