2441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / A way to send multiple altcoin payments? on: January 26, 2014, 01:22:17 PM
Is there a web service that allows you to send multiple altcoin payments?

I'm sure I saw one mentioned a couple of weeks ago but can't find the link now.

I basically need a method of sending out automated altcoin payments at regular intervals. If there is a web service I can write a script to do it.

there is no way to send an extra PMC to any adress mining a block ?

I think if you want to do this then set tx fee to 1 PMC instead of the default 0.01?

I'm attempting to mine it now but not sure hw much difference 1 BE will make

That won't really work. We'd just get a very small number of blocks with a decent reward. We need lots of regular transactions around 0.01 being sent on a regular basis. If I had a way to automate sending tx fees every x amount of seconds, I could literally pay the entire mining network for a week.

alright, obviously this coin is soo overpriced right now, As a non-miner i have seen this happen over and over and over again and thankfully i always profited from this strategy. What happens is the early miners don't sell for low prices like they used to and overprice it in the early stages of the coin, the coin always tanks when released to public.

Once this coin is up on major exchanges like bter and cryptsy it's gonna get dumped really hard, the price will tank very low that's when i'm gonna buy in, wait a few days and watch my coins go 10x their value. This is a good coin don't get me wrong but i've seen the exact scenario with hyped coins play out every single time at a 100% accuracy. And so far using this strategy is always profited.

The days where coins were like 10 satoshi in their early days and buyers made a killing buy buying early are long gone, Miners are the kings now and i know how to play their game  Smiley

LOL he must be on some good drugs.  Just saw his previous posts and makes a habit of doing this.  Looks like he does it when he wants to buy.  Good sign.

Yep. The sharks are circling. No way am I selling until it reaches 0.001 BTC per KDC. Strong hand here.

I will also donate to anyone else who supports the network right now. I would need proof that you're on the network and that you've been hashing long enough to help move some blocks, but I am willing to give PMC to those that can point their hashpower at PMC.

Call it compensation for the low block rewards.

I need someone to keep an eye on the network hashrate and report when it increases so we can verify this. My wallet doesn't show the network hashrate, but I know some wallets do.

These are all issues that can be addressed in the wallet next week.

This coin is in uncharted territory here, but the dev is working hard and I have faith that he will deliver. The best thing to do is to let him know when there's an issue, so we can make this coin work.  Smiley

You can not force anyone to send coins. Enforcing higher default fee makes no difference if one is hoarding. But you are missing
my point here, there is already a problem of almost no one mining! I use 1.65 GHashes and out of 4 last blocks I mined 3 of them!
I have mined the last block at this point in time, got 0.02 PMC from tx fees ohhh let me buy a yacht or something ...

Isn't this happening to any coins which have a limited number one day? If everyone stops mining at that point then then even BTC will be dead one day because fees per block will never be as high as coin rewards per block.

Well theoretically, but only if the difficulty was static, which it isn't. Even on my meagre 333mhash/sec eruptor right now, as long as at least 1 person is on the network, eventually the difficulty will readjust and the network will move again. That's really an extreme example, but the difficulty readjust for this coin isn't so high that when it climbs it will get stuck, so that won't happen.
2447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine! - 100% Premine / 100% Distribution - Mining TX fees only on: January 26, 2014, 12:29:38 PM
Well, I hate to say it, but maybe the only way to get some movement at this point is if the hoarders do what they do best and dump their coins. Let other people buy them up cheap, and see what happens.

I can't force people to give their coins. You're absolutely right. All I can do is distribute what I have, and hope it has an effect. Right now there are indeed too many hoarders, and perhaps the only way to address that is to let hoarders do what they do best, and dump their coins.

I will personally buy up PMC cheaply and distribute it if I have to. My problem here isn't the coin's design, it's the method of distribution.

I have over 2k coins right now I need to distribute. How on earth can I do that? Manually is impractical at this point.

By the way, the difficulty will re-adjust, so the hashrate issue is temporary until it recalculates.

I'll put my eruptor back on this now. I can add a gigahash to the network tomorrow.

How can I use my PMC to get more people mining on the network until the new wallet is released? I can hand out bounties, but I don't know a provable way of knowing if miners will stick to mining on the network.
2449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine! - 100% Premine / 100% Distribution - Mining TX fees only on: January 26, 2014, 12:15:15 PM
I need re-captcha private/public api keys for the faucet, I can't be bothered signing up with those snoopy google bastards. If anyone can PM me the api keys I'll send 100 PMC to your address for your troubles.

https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create

What use of a faucet or anything else if almost no one is mining the coin? As far as I can see, block time increased to over 10
minutes, with one block taking almost 30 minutes to be mined. You morons really think people will waste hashpower for 0 coins
and 0 fees? Once you realise who is who and why in a crypotcoin pyramid, only then you might start working on actualy useful
stuff for this altcoin. Someone mentioned earlier to not bother with faucet but send some PMC to all miners by using addresses
of already mined blocks. There is no need for CAPTCHA (can be solved by BOTs) or any similar shits, just stimulate miners. They
are alpha and omega here. No mining means no coins move. All you morons who are hoarding should rethink your stupid actions.

193kycTAf45mS3CBH6b8whgBmhC6d7GfpY

Us "morons" know that the dev is releasing an updated wallet next week which will resolve the TX fee issues, but if you'd read the thread, you'd know that.

Of course, the other hoarders are the real "morons". I would appreciate you differentiate us morons from those morons, as they are morons.

The only issue right now is hoarders. The dev is working hard on development, and as stated yesterday, he isn't posting right now as he's hard at working getting the new wallet ready, and he's being bombarded with messages as it is.

The issues you bring up are valid, and as has been said in the thread, are being addressed. We're all aware of the issues, and they're all going to be resolved.

Edit: 50 PMC coming your way. As a big holder I am trying my best to distribute my coins, but I need easier ways of doing so. A faucet is a good start, but the TX fee issue is indeed an important one to keep transactions and the coin moving forward.
2450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DVD Authoring Software = Better Scrypt Hashrate? on: January 26, 2014, 11:56:12 AM
Just to verify this wasn't a fluke, I've ran it again, and I'm getting the same results.

For the record I'm using DVDstyler. Which is free to use. Just be sure to uncheck the boxes during installation to avoid the crapware if you want to try this for yourself. When I'm doing media conversions however my hashrate drops, so there must be something about DVD authoring which is boosting efficiency somehow, but I have no idea what.

Are there not other Captcha code snippets out there you can use? I think I even followed a tutorial and wrote one in PHP last year.
2452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / DVD Authoring Software = Better Scrypt Hashrate? on: January 26, 2014, 11:44:47 AM
I was just authoring a DVD from a video file, and while it was running, I noticed my hashrate actually increased in CGminer by 40Khash.

Is it possible the software has some sort of hardware acceleration that can speed up Scrypt mining? I don't quite understand why it went up as the authoring software uses CPU, not GPU, but usually anything I use that is CPU intensive causes my hashrate to go down, but this actually caused it to go up.

Anyone else experienced this?

I can post the results if anyone would be interested. I'm not sure if it's a misreading in CGminer, but it seemed to be mining away as normal.

Anyone who thinks this is going to tank on a big exchange has lost it. If it was going to tank it would tank now, not when it hits a big exchange.

People are spreading FUD and trying to scare you into dumping your coins now so they can buy them up cheap. Make your own mind up. Just think; what is in it for this person by telling me this?

If you haven't seen that person in this thread before, then they probably aren't someone who has any, or many KDC. Think about it. They'd want you to sell cheap so they can buy in. Nobody would profit by telling you the price is going to go down. So why tell you? Think about it.

Be smart people. You've seen how much people have been spending on KDC. Do you think someone who has 3 or 4 BTC to spend on KDC got that money by making bad risks? There's a lot of BTC in Klondike Coin right now, and now you'll see all the sharks come out to try and scare you into selling cheap so they can buy as much of your coins as they can and sell them for a tidy profit.

Don't believe everything you hear. Even what I say. You have to think for yourself if you want to make it big.

agreed as well but this is not a coin issue, nor adopters ... Just retard hoarders.

Like every cryptocurrency out there. We're kidding ourselves if we think Premine will be any different. The difference is Premine lives or dies by generosity, so if the coin fails, it will be the hoarders' fault.
2457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine! - 100% Premine / 100% Distribution - Mining TX fees only on: January 26, 2014, 11:07:44 AM
Yeap, demand is everything. But when I see such posts https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=427519.msg4746593#msg4746593 I become sick.

Yeah, it is a little sad, but at the same time I'm not surprised by it. This is a currency after all, and if people want to sell it, is that so bad? I mean, if people sell it, than the person buying it has already set the bar for their purchase, and would want to sell it for higher than they bought it. It will give Premine more value.

I do think it's a bit disingenuous to be selling Premine that you're been asking for that you say you will be giving away before you've even started giving it away, but it is a free country, and people can do what they like. Let everyone decide who they give their Premine to. I know who I will be, and who I won't be giving mine to.
2458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine! - 100% Premine / 100% Distribution - Mining TX fees only on: January 26, 2014, 11:01:33 AM
It hasn't reached an exchange yet, I don't think anyone can predict what's going to happen when it does. If people want to sell them cheap, that's up to them. If other people think they're valuable, then they'll pick them up cheap, and when they're harder to come by the price will go back up.

It would be no different than if this were an IPO and the dev sold all the coins from the start. It doesn't matter if people sell them. What matters is if people want them, and if you keep giving them away, people will.
2459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT] Klondike Coin, Join the Goldrush!★Kimotos Gravity★ [Exchange] on: January 26, 2014, 10:45:47 AM
Sounds like someone wants cheap coins now, to me.

Can't say I agree with your observations at all. I'm not going to be panic selling my KDC and find myself a loser when it jumps on Cryptsy. It'll take more than that to scare me into selling.

Marinecoin isn't worth thinking about. They're simply trying to increase their hashpower by getting altcoin miners to pledge a percentage of theirs to them. It won't work. Miners don't think like that.
