yup, like ive been saying, slow and steady wins the race... we don't want to be another meme coin... if someone wants to mine and dump, thats their business since we can't control the miners. we aren't in this for the short term we are trying to set this up for the long term. if you are the type of person who just wants to 'mine the most profitable coin' and dump it, more power too you, but the people who do that are the people who sold doge at 30satoshi rather than making 10x that, i suspect the same will be said here Well, if we plan to be a long-term coin, then we can't sit on our laurels and hope for the coin to gain value. We need a game plan. If we sit around hoping the price will go up, people will lose interest and move on. |

people can't adopt MaxCoin, because they can't mine it. Price is falling.  Why can`t people mine it??  They can, but the difficulty is pretty high. The whole concept of this coin being ASIC proof has completely vanished due to the ability of massive parallelisation with the Kekak algorithm. Basically this coin belongs to the GPU farms. Doesn't make it any different than any other Scrypt coin. Kekak is a farce. |

The coin halved, so people have moved on to the next early opportunity. I expect after the next halving and subsequent price increase we'll see a lot more hash come back to the network. We're sort of in a transition period between the launch and the first halving. It may take another halving for the market to catch up. |

Well my main mining card died this week, so that makes my EBT somewhat relevant. Maybe it will eventually fund my replacement card.  what type of card did u burn for our sweets EBT's ? An R9 280x. I was solo mining EBT for 2-3 days. I then let the card rest a couple of hours. Tried mining another coin and it just died on the spot. Final nail in the coffin. Still, I'm happy with the EBT I got. I'll have to rely on my programming skills for a few weeks to recover my losses. Maybe I can make something useful. Warranty? Well, it's only a couple of months old. It's whether or not they consider that it still falls under warranty. Guess I'll find out when I return it. They can't PROVE the "cause of death" of your graphic card, so if there is no visual problem with it, they will change it under warranty. Well, I'll find out next week. Even If I do manage to get it replaced, I won't forget the generosity of the EBT community.  |

Don't get why the Mint client has such a hard time connecting. If Mint is going to go anywhere the devs really need to fix this issue. I've never known a client to be so slow to connect depsite having so many active nodes. Fix it please.

Alright, I hear you. Just thinking this coin won't blow up without a decent amount of holders, people who won't profit much from buying in at 2, rather than 1.
1 Satoshi is expecting too much. KittehCoin was pretty cheap before it took off, but it was a few Satoshis a coin for a long time. When Fckbankscoin takes off you'll wish you bought them in at 2/3 Satoshi. If the market isn't letting you have them for 1 Satoshi then it has a good reason. |

Warning not for the Noob like me. good luck with the coin.  my home connection is slow, i am downloading dependencies for windows build. it's taking ages. i compiled windows version. but can mine only with 1 thread )) when trying more threads wallet crash..  how much memory do you have on your machine? 1 thread = ~ 1GB 2 thresd = ~1.75 GB 3 threads = ~ 2.5 GB 4 threads = ~ 3.25 GB care to share the compiled windows version? +1 Please do. lol, i thought that PMC will not survive the dump this time. I think by now it has a good track record of survival  I mean, PMC overcame the doubt of alt community, lethal bug, several dumps... Also, http://coinmarketcap.com/all.html When did we get added to coinmarketcap? Great news. Someone needs to contact them though to inform them we're on cryptorush, and not freshmarket anymore. They've also flagged it as not mineable..which isn't strictly true. It's just that you can only mine the tx fees. |

Not profitable for miners anymore or what, I have a feeling (and looking at the 1 sat buy wall) that a lot of people are interested in this coin, but won't buy in any higher at the moment.
The problem is we need profit miners as well as loyal supporters to keep the coin going, so it's not good if there are no active sells. |

Of course. I'm going to get the card tested first, and confirm it is indeed dead. Then I'll try returning it to the retailer, if all else fails, then yeah, I'm without a card. A know a retailer that accepts bitcoin, so it wouldn't be difficult to show everyone the journey along the way to getting the new card. Kinda hoping it is busted. I'd love to take a hammer to it. |
