1501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 15, 2014, 09:39:10 PM
Big order on Poloniex, someone wants to buy 5540 PMC @ 0.00041 worth 2.2714 BTC  Shocked

A picture speaks a thousand words;

It's actually making me a little nervous now. PMC is really going up.
1502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: jamaican bobsled team didn't mention doge on: February 15, 2014, 09:35:55 PM
If they're too embarrassed to even tell people they received Dogecoin donations, how on earth is it ever going to go mainstream?  Undecided

Pretty lousy of them, I must say, however we don't know whether it was from not wishing to say, or because they were told not to mention it.

Slowing down the rate of KDC would solve the inflationary problem, but it would be a pain to fork it now.

LOL

Someone using the Trollcoin QT wallet as an example of being virus free for other coin launches is a top notch troll move

The troll is strong in that one.
1506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saying hello, and have a few questions on: February 15, 2014, 09:11:13 PM
Your story, laszlo, was one of the first I heard about Bitcoin. I still tell people about it. It just blows their minds.
1507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RE-ANN][FCK] ★FCKBANKSCOIN REBORN ★(New Devs and team) ★ on: February 15, 2014, 09:05:20 PM
there MIGHT be a few seconds of downtime for miners mining on pools, because we are upgrading to the newest version of fkcbanks client software
Everyone needs to update their wallets to the newest version before block 60,000, which is scheduled to hit in about 5 days from now.

I will be sending you and we will send you the link for the windows/github soon for the new version Smiley

Thanks for the heads up. Please keep us all updated.  Smiley

Looks like someone slightly misunderstood the concept of the Block Rewarder. Worth keeping an eye on this thread as things develop.  Smiley

Good reply, upvoted you. Smiley

Thank you. The thread is becoming a very interesting discussion. Anyone who likes the technical discussions on PMC vs Bitcoin should jump in.  Smiley

Cue the people wanting PMC as it becomes more and more valuable and harder to obtain.
1511  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tomatocage-What the hell? on: February 15, 2014, 07:22:56 PM
Then you'll have to clear it up with him. Explain the situation.
1512  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tomatocage-What the hell? on: February 15, 2014, 07:10:49 PM
Tomatocage is well known for leaving feedback if he strongly suspects someone of being a scammer.

However, of course this does in no way mean you are. It just means you would have to show that you aren't in order to get the negative trust removed. I feel for you if it was unjustly given, however Tomatocage normally does justify why he leaves negative trust, so there must be some reason he chose to leave it?

Some context would be useful.

As yet uncertain if these prices will hold, but Premine is certainly going to get noticed no matter what happens.

It could easily lead to an upward trend as people realise the potential of PMC.
1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 15, 2014, 07:05:24 PM
At this rate there is a very good chance we see $200,000 market cap today!!

I expected a rise, but this is a boom.  Cheesy

1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *Game on: February 15, 2014, 06:08:46 PM
I think the network hash rate is pretty normal, people are jumping in and out, nothing unusual. Also nothing to be worried about with POS taking over in less then 4 weaks, just initial distribution of the coin.
However there are simply some things that need attention and they need it right now.
First of all the wallet needs a fix, it should be made in a way to sync in fast with out any additional changes. After all if some one fresh wants to get some mintcoins and get on the train he for sure does not want to create conf files, read true 100 pages to find new noddes etc... people want it to be easy and fast and as many other coins are doing it, then i guess its nothing impossible. So this is the first thing that needs to be fixed ( atleast i think so ).
Second thing is the web page, we just really really need a new web page that looks proffesional. Again, fresh people look at that and make decisions bassed on that.
And the last thing is something that has been mentioned already a few times, its the communication between the dev's and the community. There are already a bunch of people that offered to create and manage the community, forums, giveaways, facebooks, tweeters etc. So if the dev's do not have enough man power to fix all, they should simply accept the help that is being offered and simply spend some of the pre mine for that. I am also sure that if needed additional coins can be collected from the community. I for one am ready to donate for anything that makes sence.

So, PLEASE PLEASE, DEV's. Take some of your time and address some of the issues that have been brought to this thread. People just wanna see that you are working and that you have a plan. You dont have to tell us everything but atleast what is in the near future.

MINT !

I would go a step further and say that fixing the wallet is critical to the coin's success. I am fed up of having to wait to connect, wait to send coins, and randomly get disconnected from the wallet for no reason. There is no reason we should be having these problems with the wallet, and they need to be addressed immediately.

I say this only because I see some potential in Mint, but not with the wallet like this.

+1

Also, if you think this is problematic now, just wait until PoS kicks in. In this state I expect a lot of orphans.
