If anyone has any Adams that aren't compromised or Joanne coins still intact I would be interested.

what would be your price for those uncompromised coins ?

I think that owners of the coins that want to sell should just auction them

I'd just like to point out when the user shipped me some silver it took exactly a month for me to receive it from the post mark date.

It could just be very slow

It could be suspicious at the least, maybe salty or jones could clear it up for us?

Hi,

Not sure why you think they have any insight to Liad's disappearance?

He was flaky on responding to me on 3 different potential sales where I finally gave up on trying to give him my BTC lol. (probably a good thing)

Shipping from anywhere in the world unless package is LOST or hung up in customs, should not take a month, unless it is coming by boat with a slow person walking it to your shipping address from the dock Smiley

Plus any tracking info would show that status.

If Liad's account was stolen or otherwise, why hasn't he made another account to say "Hey guys my account was compromised, dont deal with whoever, let me try to sort this out"?

Or reach out to another member via a dozen other channels?

At this point until any notice is provided, I think we can consider this an unsafe account to do business with.

Thanks!

Thats not true at least in my case with Liad. He sent it via the Israel Post? (or something like that) and the tracking on USPS.com says it is not available  for Israel and using the tracking number on the israel post website it only updated once to show that the package left the country.

The package I received wasnt opened by customs, so I dont understand how it could have gotten held up but it took a month which discouraged me from buying anything else from him.

I think it is insightful just because if you dont receive your package in two weeks does not mean that it was not sent.

I dont think a signed message of an address only a few months old does any good, maybe one from a year or so ago.

Maybe there is someone that as talked with liad on the phone, or can verify his identity with past conversations that are not saved anywhere
2447  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alitin Mint Adam Smith Coins compromised! on: March 07, 2017, 01:25:46 PM
This is strange.  I bought two coins.  The first one is an Adam Smith number 60/600.

https://blockchain.info/address/1QLQDk2KotPqqBjQQK9atEqmmmjBZySPwc

It was swept 2017-02-26 02:31:26, so I lost 2 BTC on that deal.

My second coin is a Joan of Arc number 17/600.  But when I went to check on it I found that it had never been funded!  Were we supposed to fund these ourselves? Check it out:

https://blockchain.info/address/1KzvorTcd6W497eYdk7Jc9U1YLNTF1A6LK

When I bought it I assumed it was funded.  I am sure I paid more than 1 BTC for the thing.  What is the deal with that?

Oh my.  So a second breach of trust now?  Im sorry for your loss really.  Is there anyone else who's 1btc coin was never funded?
I am very interested in this also.  Does anyone else have an unfunded coin?

BTW:  I would keep your unfunded coin intact and not sell it!  You have no reason to peal it and an intact unfunded coin is a good thing to have for a proof of claim.

ALSO:  You should also keep your swept coins!!!  We do not know what their procedure will be for getting your BTC back once they either catch the thief or start paying everyone back.  You may need the swept coin as proof of claim.

I think that is your own fault for not checking the balance of the coin. I also think it is impossible for alitin mint to refund all of its customers because these coins where sold what 3? years ago in 2014 and they are just saying they will to avoid more questions and so on

2450  Other / Archival / USPS/Post Office on: March 07, 2017, 10:25:27 AM
All lost items are supposed to be sold at govdeals.com but I have been faithfully checking there for a long time and I have never seen a crypto coin for sale, so it can only mean that "lost" crypto coins are really stolen.

So here is my question to you, I hosted a raffle, used escrow, and send my package out to germany, it got lost because the tracking stopped updating, should the escrow release the funds of everyone but the winner's btc to me? Because the losers where not going to receive anything, but it wouldnt be fair to charge the winner their raffle spots because they didnt receive the coin
2451  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] BitBills on: March 07, 2017, 10:14:27 AM
Yup. That is me. I had to break a casascius bearer bar to get back in…hence my long absence.

At any rate, I wouldn't do business with someone I couldn't verify out of band. Not with this sum.

What do you mean? They only address you posted was that of a bearer bar so you had to destroy the hologram to sign a message?
2452  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 10oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: March 07, 2017, 10:12:24 AM
So does the 10 OZ use the same hologram as the other ones?

Yes.  I think of the hologram like a fingerprint.

I don't understand how you draw that conclusion because every finger print is unique.

Are there any plans for a 25, 50, and 100 oz coin?

Exactly.  His holograms have certain security features that would be hard, if not impossible to replicate.  Making his holograms, his uniquely identifiable holograms.

EDIT:

Ah I see your point, I think it would be impossible to replicate his holograms without having the design file.

Are there any plans for a 25, 50, and 100 oz coin?

I actually inquired with my mint about doing larger rounds.  It isn't realistic.  The tooling would cost so much, I'd have to charge around $3,000 for each 25oz round.  We already have 50 & 100 seat coins, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to produce a 20oz/20seat silver piece of some kind.  I'll think more about that come December and see if there's a way to get something made while still managing to lower the cost per seat from the 10oz coins.

I think a 100 oz coin could have 1000 seats. I think you shouldn't be using a mint to produce a coin that large. I think pouring it into a mold would be a lot better
2453  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 10oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: March 07, 2017, 03:21:59 AM
That coin is a dinner plate compared to the 1oz and the 1oz could be it's hologram.  Very impressive and thanks for the photo Og!   Grin

So does the 10 OZ use the same hologram as the other ones?

When I ask about paper shipped proof, he replied:

"It's not the first deal I am doing here, I lost the paper probably, the only thing I had to give you is a tracking number."

Track id not change from Feb. 22, and its shipped from Israel Post to USA, but im from Europe.

2455  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Anacs Grading Service Request on: March 06, 2017, 07:06:29 PM
You guys are hijacking AT101ET's thread with these comments.

Since I'm being called out, I'll defend myself, but only to the point that it benefits AT101ET's decision making.

  • I can personally hand deliver your coins to the Post Office where ANACS post office box is located
  • I've already offered advice on how the parcel of coins can be best protected, insure for the long transit between the middle of the US to the UK and back - settling for the ANACS $100 insurance per physical crypto coin is unnecessarily risky
  • I can beat any other Escrow provider's value for price - I've already provided advice in how to approach this, pro bono, which demonstrates that I also care to ensure that the grading process best suits your interests (regardless of whether I'm the one handling the transaction)
  • Should you want to discuss further, the details of the arrangement (i.e., timing, payment, insurance, completion of submission form, ANACS additional services desired, proper packing for submission, and other logistics) are not to be discussed openly

For the rest of you, there's nothing casual about my offer to provide escrow services. It's a serious offer for people with serious needs. The editorial comments are just wasting people's time, they aren't constructive.

I'm just curious, but you have no trading history here, why do you think anyone would use you as an escrow for Casascius deals, potentially worth thousands of dollars?

Right, and this also makes little to no sense - habbear - are you going to pay for the extra insurance on all the postage to and from you for "Full value"? You clearly have no idea of what you are even offering, so my suggestion is to start over in Digital goods and start by escrowing some Amazon GC's or something. You seem to be casually inserting yourself into very high value trades and offering to act as escrow, which in my opinion, looks like you are desperate for any kind of trust here - IOTW, You may very well be well intentioned, but you are doing it wrong.   Roll Eyes

I'll use you as escrow if you are willing to send the coins value in btc to a trusted escrow such as minerjones or blazed and then I would send you the coin
2456  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alitin Mint Coin Breach on: March 06, 2017, 05:59:10 PM
OK, we can hope that they swept all the private keys they had, they did not have them all, and so the rest of the coins are safe.  Hope.
I don't think it really matters, people are cracking the cases, the market for Alitin coins is pretty much dead at this point.

I really like the design of them, I will buy a cracked/unfunded coin. Please PM me

I imagine blazed would be a good source for what you need.

I have used blazed before to do this and it's currently going well, lol. I think I should have my coins back in 2/3 weeks
2459  Other / Archival / Re: [SELLING] Bitcoin Mint "Nowhere to Hide" #2 on: March 06, 2017, 01:45:07 AM
Guess I will kick it off at 0.01BTC if it's #2.   Smiley

I remember when offers like that wouldn't even cover shipping.

I'm thinking about buying one of the other 8 that are made, I got this one hanging up and it looks so lonely lol

My offer doesn't include shipping and I definitely remember those times as well.  Is it the size of a normal piece of printer paper?

In the OP I state I'm offering free shipping in USA. Yes it's on a standard size piece of paper and lamented definitely spelt that wrong
