Im a bit confused about the merit rules. Are they allowed to be traded? Also, why can you say that a post didn't deserve X merit? Is it not in the right of the giver to choose?
Those are all honest questions so, please dont feel as though im attacking you.
They are not allowed to be sold, it is extremely frowned upon to trade merit and as you can see everyone found trading merit is getting tagged. |

Are you fucking serious ? That's me . I gave a few merits to my wife the minute I heard about this whole system .I didn't even understand the whole concept at the time ,I just did it . And yes ,my wife's handle is "mister k" .No reason for me to explain to you why her handle is "mister" ,it's a long story and none of your business . Check her email if you're that paranoid : "theknittinggirl..." The others I received from french guys who like the work I do in the French version topic of airdrops . Some guys here give 50 merits to their buddies ,I gave a few to my wife ,what's the big fucking deal ? The merit doesnt make the activity requirement nil because the activity is based upon time, not just posts. Once a month or 2 go by there will be more and more merit floating around because the sources will be giving it out to those who are making good logical thoughtout posts

Seriously, the jealousy and butthurt vibe is near overwhelming. They can do what they like with their merit points, and it's not like legendaries need any of that anyway. Me, I could care less if I get merit points. It's a status symbol as far as rank goes if you're at the maximum already. Yikes... is it just me or does the merit system seem like it might worsen the account-farming problem even further.
I don't see myself randomly meriting posts, even if they are helpful. So account farmers would have a much easier time gaining merit on their accounts than regular users... False. Account farming is more difficult. You would have to trickle down merit from your larger accounts (and for that matter you need quite a significant amount to rank up). And because it is public, the abuse can be tracked down and the accounts will be negged. this is true, account farming is more difficult due to new merit requirement for ranking up new accounts don't generate merits, even current higher rank's merits will be used up fast in no time there is no way for account farmer to do it easily unless he has several high level rank accounts actively posting and receiving merits and the available merits are scarce and possibly getting rarer because a few things such as: - trickle down effect in sMerit points - only a few select unknown merit sources with limited merits to spread around - the generousity of merit sources to spread it around - decaying (implemented yet?) merit points unused by some users note: Happy Birthday actmyname, if today's really your birthday as shown on your profile   He just turned 15!!! Happy birthday! In a year, there will be a ton of people with thousands of merit points its just getting there |
