2441  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: March 31, 2022, 02:20:16 PM
It's nothing too complicated really (unless you wanna go deep into the backend stuff, provably fair, chances, etc.) Most jargon you'd see in casino games are just jargon in the games themselves, such as in poker where there are different hands/card sets that you could get, the terminologies such as fold, all in, etc. I wouldn't suggest trying to learn all of them if you're not really into the game, just get yourself to learn a specific game you'd really want to learn and play.

And a friendly note, don't go too deep that you'd let yourself fall to addiction.
2442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What have been your crypto trading experience on: March 31, 2022, 01:10:10 PM
Pretty bad. I've lost more than I earned, and if you consider all the time I spent plus all the stress that was involved, it definitely was a bad experience for me. Honestly the only valuable experience I got here was that I suck at handling stuff in stressful situations and should probably avoid being in such situations next time. My strategy nowadays is just to DCA to save myself the trouble and pain of trading since all the stuff that you need to learn and handle is a tad too much for me.
2443  Economy / Economics / Re: When Will This War End? on: March 31, 2022, 08:48:38 AM
I don't think the end is in sight even with all the peace talks (that may or may not actually be going anywhere tbh) that are currently ongoing. Plus as we all saw, Sanctions did jack on trying to persuade Putin to stop the war, so unless he gets what he wants I don't think there's any stopping this man. It'd either develop into a full-on suppression of Russia by other countries, or Russia getting what they want either through force or through negotiations imo. I honestly would not be surprised if this become the jumpstart for more conflicts to happen.
2444  Economy / Economics / Re: Member Of The E.U. Parliament Says Crypto Transactions Shouldn’t Be Anonymous on: March 31, 2022, 05:32:03 AM
It can be an option if they want it to, I mean Centralized exchanges already exist and they already ask their users for KYC, I don't think there's a need to actually make it a mandatory sort of thing, heck even if they wanted to they really can't make it anyway. Plus removing that option to be anonymous pretty much removes a key factor to what makes crypto a good option for transactions. They might as well just have  said to remove that crypto bs out of the world.
2445  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your views on Crypto Trading Bots? Has Anyone tried it? on: March 31, 2022, 01:01:07 AM
Thanks for the above list.

Did you try any of the trading bots mentioned in the list?
I just want to know how it performs when there is a bearish market?
Pretty sure bots perform depending on how you set it up, so their reactions on a bearish market are always dependent on what you actually set them up to be. I've tried looking up stuff with gunbot, never really got to use it from what I recall since the setting up was a huge pain, but it looked pretty good from what I watched. Granted you'd have to get a pretty good understanding of the market so that you can set up the bot to work for you. Good luck finding what works for you though.
2446  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanction is the right option? on: March 30, 2022, 01:52:22 PM
Even if the sanctions are being sold as a way to try to stop this war, if we are being realistic there is nothing that will stop Putin to try to get what he wants out of this war, the sanctions are really meant to weaken Russia economically to the point they cannot engage in another campaign like this one anytime soon against another country, so this will buy time to those other countries to either join NATO and if not to at least buy US armament to protect themselves in the case of a future conflict with Russia.
The Sanctions were supposed to be a way for Putin to change his mind. Maybe a method to persuade him to back off or maybe give him a way out imo. But since Putin was pretty much sure that he was pushing with the war, the sanctions only served to actually hit the citizens of Russia instead of Putin, which lead to the damage not really hitting Putin that much. I guess they have to push out more stricter sanctions imo, one that would inevitably hit them for a long time to make Putin do a double take on what he's actually doing (which I really doubt, but hey, it wouldn't hurt to try).
2447  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Sites on: March 30, 2022, 08:03:31 AM
There is no privacy in cryptocurrencies - just read news. We just believe in it, and it is true while you have small sums of money. But if you have big money - your privacy ends very fast. The main advantage of cryptocurrencies - fast and partly anonymous transfers and exchanges. So i don`t think that the KYC is a problem, you share you private information every day, just don`t call it KYC.
There's no privacy if you don't use it properly. Read the news? Bro if you found out about wallets and whatnot in the news, then they clearly made a mistake already. What, do you think anonymous wallets would still be called anonymous if they were featured in the news? They aren't seen because they've done well in remaining unseen.

actually Gambling sites need not to find where their players live because in TOS they have clearly mentioning in which countries are not allowed to play(if there are some) because of the regulations of their government and their restrictions will be added.
and do not blame those site that banned their players who missed reading their rules and restrictions because it is our obligation being gambler to understand everything before depositing and before playing so you'll not facing any issue in your withdrawal .
Address is one way to confirm if you're KYC details match up with, let's say, your ID details and the like. Though I think an ID and some basic form details would be enough, not particularly sure whether address is really asked for sometimes.
2448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe it is to invest in cryptocurrency on: March 30, 2022, 12:31:30 AM
From what I got from your post, crypto won't be affected much by whatever issues that could arise from the Russian Ukraine issue right? On the title first though, it's safe if you consider how you're your own bank, that is unless you use centralized exchanges then well, you're pretty much ruining the idea and are only there for the investment part most likely. On the post itself though, it wouldn't bring any significant change imo, the biggest change would've already happened at the start really and seeing as it didn't really do anything, I don't think the Russia Ukraine issue would still affect the market.
2449  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Few Tips I learnt from trading that blew my account. on: March 29, 2022, 01:40:22 PM
Mine was stop trading, it ain't for you (in this case me) Grin. So I just went to DCA. When I tried trading I made a lot of mistakes, overextended my investments, made bad investments (which is natural even when you're already a veteran trader imo). The stress of losing money almost every day was quite heavy, couldn't really handle it even though I earned more compared to what I lost sometimes. It's like a permanent roller coaster of emotions, and well not that I'm saying that's bad or anything, it just doesn't mesh well with me.
2450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Gambling Site on: March 29, 2022, 08:26:44 AM
I don't think there's even a need to compare? They're two different types of casinos but they're still both gambling. It's kinda dumb to compare the two since one handles sports, and one handles games. On the topic of which to choose, Ofc since we're here, most of us would like to use crypto casinos/bookies since that makes it easier for most of us here with most of us handling crypto more than fiat most of the time. I myself am pretty used to using crypto to gamble nowadays.

Rather confusing post really since the startup was describing the comparison of crypto vs fiat casinos/bookies. Then it ended up comparing sports bookies vs casinos.
2451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender bias in gambling. on: March 28, 2022, 12:37:39 PM
It isn't anything new or weird, it's just the mindset that was naturally made over time in a community, in this case, yours. Ofc I strongly disagree with this, being a rare case does not mean that it does not conform with what is normal, since being normal in the first place is something very subjective. It's just a dumb perception that a person grew up with. I won't deny that it happens and that one shouldn't blame themselves for having such a realization but they should stray away from it as early as possible since bias is a very damaging thing to others. View the world with an open mind, it's going to help in the long term.
2452  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you prefer lots of promotions over better RTP? on: March 28, 2022, 06:55:07 AM
Latter ofc. The former is there to let the casino last longer since it attracts new customers, but if they were only attracted momentarily, then the original meaning of doing it is actually lost. They have to give benefits to players not just in the early stages, but also for the entire length of their stay in their casino. To simplify, marketing strategies are for the casino to profit whether it be short or long term (mostly short term imo). RTP on the other hand, only lets them benefit in the long term imo.

Now, what can we as gamblers do to get the casino operators to give more attention to the gambling experience?
Other than giving out suggestions, I don't think we can. They're probably thinking about a bunch of stuff as well so I won't judge them arbitrarily, but paying too much attention to promotions over what the users really want can be a red flag if done one too many times.
2453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which sports are you placing bets on? on: March 27, 2022, 12:58:45 PM
Mostly eSports nowadays. I used to do NBA but I haven't watched it in quite a few years now. I'm mostly playing eSports games now, more specifically Dota2 and Apex so I'm more interested in the pro scene of those games rather than other games nowadays. I do watch some football tourneys here and there but they're more for one or two-time entertainment every now and then. I don't specifically aim to look or study the sport scene of football anymore.

Besides, do you think gambler don't care which sport it is. I have seen gambler who don't have any fucking idea about cricket but he used to bet on cricket.
Hey, I didn't know Billiards was actually Billiards back then. I thought it was pool. Or maybe it was the other way around.
2454  Economy / Gambling / Re: SandboxCasino.io サンドボックス It's Simple: Fun and Fair. on: March 26, 2022, 02:11:07 PM
I also hope that sandbox NFT is something valuable and not a general NFT.
Most NFT's are valuable (though most of them only have said value early on) tbf, the rest are just rip offs or probably failed projects. What I hope for NFT's of casinos it that it has an effect on the games itself, whether it be additional bonuses, additional rewards, or whatever, (stuff that can affect the rewards, not the chances of winning themselves) so that it's tied to the casino and actually has utility towards the casino itself. I don't really need nor want an NFT that will just stand there tbh.
2455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Largest Slots Win in Washington State History on: March 26, 2022, 12:23:14 PM
Any more info especially about how much he spent before he hit the jackpot? $5 per spin in slot game is a huge amount for regular players. I guess he has a huge bankroll as well because I think someone need to have at least few tens grand to play with that $5 per spin. Or he was really luck player who spent few hundreds $$ only before he hit the jackpot. It is a rare case indeed but it may happen when he had the huge luck.
Judging from the article, he should be a rather frequent visitor of the casino. Plus, I don't think a person who has a girlfriend that says go play on a slots in a casino is someone who doesn't frequent it to the point where his gf knows and even encourages it. Probably lost a ton really, but I don't think it'd be enough to equal to the amount he won, that's an insane amount after all. Proably why a lot of gamblers like to gamble (and lose) really, you can turn around everything with one big win.
2456  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 26, 2022, 08:00:34 AM
~
Do you think UN, NATO and other group don't resort to a peace talk before imposing those multiple sanctions to Russia? Ukraine President even have a several peace talk with Putin during the war yet Russian force never stop on there aggression. So tell me, If Russia have unlimited support from other country, why they are now doing desperate move just to sell there oil on there allied country if they will really have that backup.
The war wouldn't have happened if sitting down and talking was actually effective. Maybe after the sanctions are in place, and they start talking again, then maybe, just maybe, highly unlikely though.

The boycott will not gonna directly impact normal Russian citizens because they don’t have directly benefiting on it. The government is the main target for this movement so that the tax from casino will gonna cut off for them. As long Russian government keeps generating funds from outside there country, They can fund this war as long as they want so this reasoning of yours seems very insensitive to the people of Ukraine too since they are experiencing right now the aggression of Russian government that you are defending.

This kind of movement is just temporary and not direct gonna hit Russian citizen.  Roll Eyes
It absolutely will. What, are business owners now part of the government? No, they're not, they're also Russian citizens. Taxes? So you're telling us to cut off literally income sources of families in Russia so that the government could stop earning from them? Might as well have asked us to boycott the entirety of Russia, cut them off literally from the world.
2457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess online? on: March 26, 2022, 04:57:11 AM
It's hard to prevent cheaters on online chess, at least on short run. But as far as I know, there aren't perfect crimes and sooner or later users using third party services to compete online are going to be busted and have their access to the platforms restricted (at least serious platforms).
Well in the first place cheaters are simply people who are actually testing the computational/processing ability of their program (most of the time anw). I mean, I certainly wouldn't waste time trying to run a program that's pretty intensive (since it tries to simulate most of the possible moves) to win an online match. For testing purposes, it may be possible, but I highly doubt people would do it for the money cause after all, if they were able to test something like that, they'd probably be better off doing something else to make money.

Plus in the first place, I don't think betting and chess go hand in hand? It's why most tourneys at the very least are done personally, or with hand cams and whatnot. Maybe betting as in sports betting, but that's about it imo.
2458  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: March 25, 2022, 11:53:36 PM
Pretty sure most bonuses are locked behind you need to deposit a minimum amount beforehand. OR you can spend the bonus first but withdrawal needs a minimum deposit amount. Those are usually the types of first signup bonuses that I know, so your instance was probably the first one? Or maybe their signup bonus was a time-limited thing or something (which is odd, but not impossible).

Now as for why, well, simply because they don't want to maybe? I mean, it might be because they don't need to attract them anymore, or they have other types of bonuses that they want to implement. Might be because of the latter really, it isn't that odd for casinos to have a bunch of bonuses depending on their games.
2459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Russia May Accept Bitcoin for Gas Exports, Lawmaker Says" on: March 25, 2022, 01:35:15 PM
As much as I want to say that Bitcoin is a medium, therefore not being blamed here for being used by Russia, it'd probably still be hit by some negative press early on. Still, I guess it opens up the idea to most people on how Bitcoin can be used for stuff like this. It isn't a positive towards what the price is in the early stages, but probably a good positive in terms of crypto adoption. I just hope governments don't do anything about it, I know it isn't going to do anything later on but it will affect the progress of adoption.
2460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto.com as Sponsor's for FIFA World Cup on: March 25, 2022, 08:22:00 AM
These kinds of news would end up being rather normal from now on imo. Just that, I don't actually think it's a publicity thing for crypto itself, more like for their site instead. Maybe 30% attention at most? Though I guess it's still a win-win either way, both the business aspect side and spreading attention for crypto side. I do hope this opens up more ideas for investments and whatnot for big events though. Their name is also an advertisement of sorts already tbh, it already gives you the idea that it's related to crypto since it's named after it.
