1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: December 20, 2022, 02:37:11 AM
You are talking shit honestly, gambling is the last hope of a man? If you are really that desperate and taking up some suicidal movement and decision then you would really be coming up with this idea but eventually you are really that making situations gets more worst.

If you looked at reality, that's the situation of other people, relying on gambling as their last hope. That's even the reason why people suffer financial crises because they think by gambling, they will able to make more money in the process which turned out bad.

As the result, they ended up broke and now part of those become a victim because of gambling.
The thing is that's actually a pretty narrow point of view imo. Maybe in the most extreme cases, it can be applicable, e.g. you have a debt and you'd die the next day if not paid (though a person alive is worth more than a person dead, but it's just a sample scenario anw), then gambling it and taking a last jump can be an applicable option, but that's a really extreme and rare case. It's just escapism imo, there are ways to live, just that it's all too difficult (and probably takes too much time, but that's part of it after all) so most choose an easy (but extreme) choice.
During yesterday's pandemic, the ones that benefited the most were online casinos because they could survive. They can work from home and still supervise the casino because casino employees cannot leave the house. But offline casinos may be the ones that can't benefit because they can't operate for some time. When something shakes up the business world, all businesses will feel the effects, but some areas of business are less affected and may still be able to run their business even in a state of survival.
You can actually call it survival of the fittest but with a more modern theme. Though tbf all businesses are like that, in this case it became much more obviously apparent since the enemy wasn't other businesses, but rather a 3rd party aka the pandemic.
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slow down if you want to recover your losses on: December 20, 2022, 01:14:47 AM
Tbf, I've never actively tried to "recover" losses in cases of gambling. If it's lost, then well, it's lost, done and over. I'd rather prioritize having fun, no matter how simple or dumb the game is (or my actions are), though it's understandable if some want to actually recoup (though honestly, I'd rather you go into trading in that case instead of gambling).

After a big loss I just usually stop and go find some healing activity. It can be some reading, (usually immersive ones), sleeping, or exercising. I don't try to go back to gambling itself since, well, emotions get the best of me (and maybe for others as well). OP is pretty careful with that though since he can handle that slow recoup by playing rather often even after a big loss.
1503  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Shall we create a small chat room to communicate? on: December 19, 2022, 11:15:50 AM
Not really no, don't really want to associate some of my personal accounts with this one, and can't be bothered to create a new one solely for the use of a chatroom of this forums' users. Not to mention if it was just a price discussion or something, Wall observer is there, and finding a small group would probably be a lot better. There are also a lot of outside groups out there, they aren't exactly any different from one you propose to make. We also had a discord server iirc made back then, I don't think it ever got that big (or active) though.
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: December 18, 2022, 12:29:20 PM
I'd just say a personal favorite of mine, biased by me using it as one of the first (if not the first) crypto casinos I have, since a lot of users have sent general lists which include the majority of what I play in. Anyway, the casino is Freebitco.in, I actually used it in the past due to them having a faucet, but then pretty much ended up using those up for their dice game. Pretty simple-ish, but hey, it was pretty addicting back then, never really went back after using recent new casinos, but nothing beats that simple method of gambling back then that I had my first with.
1505  Economy / Economics / Re: Have Satoshi dream failed? on: December 18, 2022, 05:52:31 AM
Satoshi's dream was done and over the moment Bitcoin was released and the people started using it. Whatever happens after that is basically the fault of the user themselves since they adopted the system Satoshi made, to another system (whether it be for ease of access or whatever). It was solely the fault of us, the users, to use Bitcoin that gave away its features of pseudo-anonymity and freedom. Besides, it's not like the centralized system is the only system out there left, the core, which is p2p, still exists if one really wants to look and use it.
1506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are we ever going to see this on gambling platforms some day. on: December 18, 2022, 02:51:00 AM

This is valid.

Casinos that will setup a PvP version of betting, there's a lot of work to be done. One can setup as what darkangel said or we can easily call it a bot.

It happens in most games and when there's money involved, many are too desperate to do that. There are tournaments that are covered by some bookies and that's the only thing that they rely on listing.
And that's also why imo it should stay as tournaments. Just the fact that games have a hundred bunch of loopholes that would require a lot of testing and checking if it was actually a "legit" play or not is enough to say how PVP betting would never work on skill-based games. If you were familiar with the Minecraft speedrunner scene, you can see an example where one dude who dominated the leaderboards was recently found out to be cheating, in what, after like a few years or so. It's not your usual games, but it's enough to show how games can and will have those loopholes that players will take advantage of.

Heck, even MMOs have a bunch of bots farming just to sell gold to in-game players, what more when betting is introduced.
1507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AI answer to how can bitcoin price drop to 0$ on: December 17, 2022, 11:59:10 AM
It's not wrong, but it doesn't exactly bring out anything new as well imo. Afaik the AI that chatbots use is just a collection of information, compare it to like them having their own internal library and choosing answers based on it, paraphrasing it so that it sounds like it thinks on its own. Honestly just testing it by asking what the result between two teams' match is enough to show how it doesn't exactly have any capability to create its own answers. It just looks for the most general and possible answer available.
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge Binance outflows - should we be concerned? on: December 17, 2022, 11:21:04 AM
Not really no. Afaik it should be just people pulling their funds out and putting them in their hardware wallets, which should've been something that has been done already in the past, but with the FTX drama I guess people got the wake-up call they needed. I don't believe it'd cause an effect similar to FTX, unless, maybe, Binance closes down or something, but even then it should be a temporary thing, just like with the FTX thing. There might be more though since afaik there's also some news about Binance being investigated iirc? Most likely just speculation though and nothing is guaranteed as of yet.
1509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's behind Donald Trump's issuing NFTs ? on: December 17, 2022, 03:44:50 AM
For fun? Idk this seems just like a rich man playing with things he can play with. Maybe he's playing his cards so that NFT bros stand with him for reelections (which won't happen, unless they were already standing there in the first place) or something similar. I honestly wouldn't even consider buying NFTs, not just his, but any type really unless you want it as a collection of sorts. There are also some side benefits with his Lottery-esque system, but I honestly would not buy it just for that. Maybe as a resell to earn money, which is what most would probably do.
1510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are we ever going to see this on gambling platforms some day. on: December 17, 2022, 01:42:47 AM
Isn't this more like a tournament? I've said this a few times before but I would not consider this as gambling nor should it be included in a casino site, a separate one would do, preferably one managed by the game devs or the publishers themselves (with proper guidance ofc, since it has money involved). But then again, I don't think it's possible due to limitations such as internet connection, and matching itself (I reckon finding someone betting a dollar would be rather easy to find but say $10k? Who knows if someone even wants to match that). They'd probably much rather play on real tournaments, sponsored by big names and maybe even the devs themselves.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There Any Crypto Casino With An In-built Mini Crypto Exchange? on: December 16, 2022, 07:09:33 AM
I don't think they'd ever bother for the most part really. Most casinos would probably do (or have done) is let us view it in terms of a specific currency (local ones or USD most often), and that should work since they still technically think that the money involved would be the same in general, whether it was converted from Bitcoin to say, XRP or any other coin. There's also the legal side of things that they probably don't want to touch. I never really took the time to find one or check if the casinos I play at have it, and there are a bunch of answers from others already anw.

Plus, you want to avoid fees but I don't think you'd be able to avoid those regardless if you use a built-in exchange from their casino or through your usual method, they might even ask for more imo.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Better Ways To Manage Energy Consumption For Casino Centers. on: December 16, 2022, 04:38:16 AM
I don't think we even have to bother with this as users or customers of a casino...? I mean if you were asking for opinions as a casino owner then maybe, but I don't think that's what you're doing. And even then, I'm pretty sure the planning team behind a casino would provide far better answers than some random dude on the internet (though it does have it's merits, you have to look for an accurate one in the first place so ask the guaranteed professional imo instead).

And casinos themselves probably have plans for this, or at least the minimum amount for electricity costs would be put under the guaranteed sales that casinos have. Not to mention that I don't think big ones are going to scrimp towards electricity usage when they actually use it to light up literally the entire building to make it appealing, both inside and outside.
1513  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kryptosino Avoid!!! on: December 16, 2022, 01:12:32 AM
Seeing as it's more like OP themselves did the application for all the legal stuff, I assume we ain't seeing any articles about this at least until whatever legal custody publishes their reports about it then? And OP is adamant about not sharing the evidence he found (and probably submitted) to us so I'd say we'd at most be getting more info about this by the end of the month.

As for the casino itself, I tried looking over their AML policies but I keep getting redirected to their error 404 page, if anyone can share if they also experience the same thing then I'd say there's something wrong on their side or they're changing it themselves. BTCGosu briefly described it though as
Quote
The AML policy here is extensive, and the privacy one is decent.
but seeing what op claims, I guess until I read it myself I can't say much about it.
1514  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 15, 2022, 08:58:30 AM
I mean anyone can if they were earning $3k per month. Sadly not everyone has such solid numbers on their monthly payroll, and it also depends (both expenses and salaries) on where you actually live. It's a case-by-case basis, but I reckon most aren't actually able to actively save up constantly, maybe every now and then as a possibility only. I myself am DCA'ing but the amount can be pretty random, I even skip a month or two if needed if I was pretty tight on my budget.
1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just how bad is the bear market right now? on: December 15, 2022, 03:09:50 AM
In comparison to other bull markets? I mean back then we've had an instance BTC of going up to $17k and then down below to $3-4k, pretty sure we're in a much better state compared to then if only comparing the ratio. I reckon it looks big because the peak of the current market was also pretty high. The FTX issue may have brought down the market a bit, but pretty sure those would only affect the market in the short term, as long as people ain't dumb with their coins again. I'd say nothing was as bad as late 2018, or early 2019. Yet anyway.

This is in consideration of Bitcoin though, which in general is followed by altcoins afaik.
1516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is your local game includes in online casino ? on: December 15, 2022, 02:11:39 AM
I don't think said game is applicable, if this is the same game on my mind it should be possible to technically win the game by counting, even if the difficulty is ramped up since you're against a player, counting would still heavily influence the game, and that leads to describe it as a skill-based game instead of a luck based one. It can be fun as a small part of a big festival, as a temporary one, but in a permanent case like in casinos? I don't think it's going to fit.

In our country this is called "sungka", since this is pvp and mostly 2v2 it would be hard to attract users/players to play the game just like what poker us struggling with in the online scene. I have to admit I'm getting old that I played this a decade ago I guess, I use to play this during my childhood and it's a great game to pass the time. I think it's good to be in a casino but as I've said it will be difficult to attract players.
If this is the same game I'm thinking, it should be rather similar (if not exactly the same) as the game OP is talking about. It was a rather fun past time as a child indeed but I think the game isn't rather well-known even back then, afaik only a few of my childhood friends even knew about it.
1517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipping during live slot, or casino games. on: December 14, 2022, 03:23:49 PM
Never had the habit of tipping others, even in other scenarios and not just in gambling so I doubt I'd actually do it if I'm ever put in such a situation.
Do you think it is necessary to give tips or it is just a tradition that is required?
I'd honestly say it isn't a necessary thing for gamblers to do, in a completely neutral view there's no reason as to why you should, it's just a matter of your goodwill I guess, not that not doing it doesn't mean you don't have any, nor does it mean that the experience was bad or anything. Especially in gambling, I reckon most would be more willing to spend money on the gamble itself, unless maybe they won big or something. Also never saw how tipping would be a tradition, at the very least it hasn't been one in my case.
1518  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance lots of FUD on: December 14, 2022, 06:26:35 AM
I don't think there's anything wrong with people withdrawing their funds from Binance, it's something that should've been done much earlier on imo, FTX just painted it in a bolder color. I reckon as long as Binance is pretty honest with what it does and the funds are obviously used to what they're supposed to be used for (and not for), they should be fine in the long term. That is unless someone finds some solid evidence of something wrong, like in the case of FTX, then you can probably expect a big impact on the scene, considering how big Binance is as an exchange.
1519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why every casino got bad habits? on: December 14, 2022, 02:10:06 AM
If you have a look at the scam accusation section, you will find that no casino has a good reputation there. Each and every casino which has their ANN thread here, has at least one complaint against them; sometimes confiscated funds, delayed withdrawal, not paying the winning, freezing account etc. Why this is the principal of all the casinos? Why they can't operate without having any issues? They always do this shit; who knows what has been done with people who don't know how to deal with such a casino. Can you show me a thread that never had any reputation issues on this forum?
Because not all issues stem from simply the casino being uncooperative. Some issues stem from misunderstandings, or even users intentionally slandering casinos for mistakes that they made themselves, but hid it in a way that if seen, the casino would seem to be the one at fault and not them.

I believe businesses of all sorts and types have complaints and problems around them, and I honestly don't really mind, as long as said problems were actually discussed and answered by the business themselves. I'm more willing to go to a casino that actively fixes mistakes/complaints about them than a casino that has a seemingly perfect 5/5 rating, especially in this day and age where you can buy reviews.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: turned gambler after investing in BTC or investor turned gambler? on: December 13, 2022, 07:27:21 AM
Uhh OP I think the options are the same?

>Turned gambler after investing ("after")
>Investor then turned a gambler

Anyhow to answer, I was originally a gambler already before even sinking into investing in crypto, tried doing some gambles as well when I was investing but went pretty badly so I just went for DCA's a few months back.

She began to worry since her son is on the computer all the time and might gamble upon learning the BTC can be gambled.
I wouldn't think of connecting gambling to BTC really. If the said son was investing in BTC then that in itself should be a time and money sinker imo, and would probably give him enough stress that I wouldn't really consider doing anything else. I'm just baffled how a simple convo of a son using the computer all day turned into BTC and then gambling. Your average gamer joe just probably plays Dota 2/Cs:go or some variant of those really.
