2441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 19, 2022, 09:13:49 AM

33 years is not that old, as long as Tagoe has the skill, he can certainly match Garcia's speed and power. Unfortunately, since I don't see him had a big fight in the past, I cannot say that he has a good chance of beating Garcia, so I'm sure he will be a heavy underdog in this particular fight.

I also don't think age is big factor in this fight as 33 is still a good age for boxing. The real issue is that EMMANUEL TAGOE is quite and is having some mental haelth issues that can turn the table towards RYAN GARCIA. Also RYAN GARCIA is rated at number 5 by The Ring in 135 pounds category.

Being quiet doesn't mean he has a mental issue, maybe he just wants to do his talking in the ring that's why instead of talking a lot, he trains hard as he knows Ryan Garcia is a tough opponent and if he will win, it will be his ticket to bigger fights.
2442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 19, 2022, 08:22:08 AM
this being a boxing fight between seniors and juniors what I mean is there is quite a big age difference, Garcia is at a young age to fight, while Tagoe is at a mature age. This fight was organized by Boxing Promoter De la Hoya, Statistically Garcia has never lost, and Tagoe has only suffered 1 defeat. Garcia Delighted to tagoe for taking this match, Karean Garcia hasn't played in a long time since his last match with Campbell last year.
Tagoe's 33 years old while Garcia's 23 years old, there's a 10 years old gap between both of them... but to be honest 33 years old isn't the matter, actually that's a prime ages in boxing. He just lacking of popularity, it's hard to find his previous fight in youtube... mostly it's uploaded with bad resolutions. He have experience, he have speed and he can box, upset could be happen here. I just hope this isn't fixed match where Tagoe let Garcia will easily, I expect this will be close fight.

2443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 19, 2022, 08:01:58 AM
These two fighters boxing career is over IMO so i considered this coming fight an exhibition game and with the two out for a long time, i think a KO is a slim possibility but i still think that Brook is too much for Amir Khan.

You are right. The fight is almost their last few chances to make money lol.

Their Knock Out power might be faded now and all they will focus on is proper defense. Their stamina is also not the same as before. To be able to have a successful KO, it needs long and strong stamina.

There will be a clear winner here in a Decision mode.

Though the chances is high, that it may end up in decision mode but for other fans who loves seeing this two former champ to perform may change the directions of this fight, cheers from the outside of the ring may trigger both parties to be more aggressive, hopefully though, Roll Eyes but in terms of making money if the winner is interested to have another good offer it's needed to delight the fans Cool

The fact that they are given a chance to fight, I'm expecting that the winner will get a bigger fight, maybe not a championship fight but if they show an entertaining fight, then for sure their promoter will work on the next fight as they are assure that they can sell the fight, probably even better than this fight.
2444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will competitors overcome ETH due to ever-increasing gas fees? on: February 18, 2022, 09:01:33 PM
I think it is very difficult to beat Ethereum, it can be said that ethereum and the ERC-20 platform are the rulers in cryptocurrencies, for example USDT which has become the price standard with the largest transaction volume beat bitcoin.
If we talk about the usage of platform for other projects then other platforms found it easy to compete Ethereum because the problem appeared to ethereum was the high gas fees. If that was not happened to ethereum platform then it would be difficult for other platforms to compete it. Now binance, solana etc are accepted by people. But polygon is also an alternative of them which we can put in the support of ethereum. Along with that the developers of Ethereum are working to decrease the gas fees and then it will be difficult for all other projects to compete it.
But the question is when will it definitely take place? Because this has been the users' problem in the previous years and up to the present, and until now there are still no definite time when will developers can fix it. Yes, they have come up with rebranding which tends to make ethereum more useful from its users but the main problem which is to reduce the gas fees which is until now not given a good solution.
2445  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion on side jobs on: February 18, 2022, 08:11:52 PM
Side jobs is an indicator that you're main work isn't providing you enough money or that you're scared to take a leap on that side job even though it's your passion. Side job is a good way to make money, even though it might sound like I am against it, I highly respect the people who do this although I don't really like the idea that we have to rely on more jobs just to get by.
Side job is not just the job of another office along with your first office or place of work in physical but it can be any other source of income which you get. Suppose if you have your day job and after that you come home and do other marketing or vloging and earning money with that then you are dong side job so I do not think that anyone will not like side job.
It is also a support of someone in heir life and it is also the extra earning of a person in order to save for future or to buy any dream of their life.
Doesnt matter on what category would it be as long it could give out that kind of opportunity to make money or income then that what matter most because not all would really be having that
chance on having one neither some do have lack of skills or something which couldnt really be able to put up some investment and thats why better be thankful on whatever
on things you've been dealing.Doesnt matter if its labeled to be your main job or side job and as long it could give out some source of income then thats what counts.
The end point here is both are giving advantages and that is we are making an income from them. However, from my own understanding is that a main job usually takes most of your time like having an 8 hour day job. Even if we say the income you made is smaller than your side jobs, it will always remain as your main job as long as its getting the most of your time. And for side jobs, its always the things your doing aside from your main job that also adds income from your main job income.
2446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 18, 2022, 02:11:38 PM
^^ Previously, they have Drummond to relived Embiid and play as center and he was really effective. And now that he is gone, for sure they are going to play small just like the rest of the other teams in the NBA.

So it's a good win for them, although I have the Bucks on this one to win and cover the spread, it was really a close and very intense game and that is good enough for me even though I lost my bet.

That was a good bounce back by the Sixers, they lose to the Celtics in a big margin and now they beat the Bucks at home, I already smell a possible ECF between the two teams and I can see the Sixers have a great chance to beat the defending champion.
The game was extreme and Giannis really trying hard to take the win. He even tried to cheat last minute stealing the ball while it was not yet passed inbound. Grin Embiid was just too much for them, Portis and Ibaka cannot defend him and in the end they tried Giannis but even so not enough to stop him.
It's a close game and if ever they meet in Easter Conference Finals it will be a hell of a game and we might witness game 7.
I guess Embiid is feeling better now that the Simmons drama is over and Harden looks happy joining in the bench.

I hope not only on the bench but once he will start playing with the team. Embiid looks healthy and we can really see his real potential when he is healthy and does not have a problem with his knee, that was a good statement that they should be taken seriously as they are a real threat.
2447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 18, 2022, 01:33:52 PM
I go with the Wizards +3.5 with the Nets, the first quarter has just ended so this is a live betting for me.

This really would have been the easiest bet to tail for me last night, tbh, I literally would have out some on the ML too at over 2.5 Odds. I missed out on all games yesterday, because I couldn't stay up late. Congratulations on wins.

Now we've got the NBA All Star Events for the week long, who are your favourites ? I'm still looking at the options 😞

The ML was really enticing considering how the Nets have been struggling lately, they just won their last game because of a huge comeback but they are still not consistent yet, so their lose is not something we are surprise, they are still prone to losing in their games.
2448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 18, 2022, 10:50:06 AM
The championship is more boring if the 2 team fighting for championship is owned by same company like SMB vs Ginebra or TNT vs Meralco.  Roll Eyes
Rain or Shine as well or Magnolia Hot Shots. I think the local leagues are even fun to watch than them to be honest, like MPBL.

Exactly mate! If only Maharlika League is always televised on well known channel like GMA or atleast they have there own free channel. The MPBL should be the real PBA because the team is per region and the rostes is spread properly that makes the game balance. There's regional support too coming from fans unlike on PBA which only strong team has a strong fans like Ginebra. The cheer is very one sided and boring to watch if both team playing is not famous. I hope they will make MPBL style in the future so that can follow the same format of NBA which is per state team.

There's no such thing as a real PBA because PBA was the first major league in the Philippines before MPBL existed. Maybe overtime the popularity of PBA has drop because of the new leagues that are starting to get the attention of the fans and MPBL is surely on of them, so let's see how the PBA would react on the latest announcement that Alaska is leaving the league.

Oh, so sorry about your loss mate. A lot of scam out there looking so clean that you suspect nothing. This is a lesson for all, One thing is, always do due diligence before investing in any project. Ensure that the telegram group is lively and there's actually a buy and sell order.
Anyway, even with all our carefulness, one can only pray not to fall a victim of scam.
As i open the site of the project, i was somewhat amazed of how the developers designed it. From there, its already a plus factor. But if you do your due diligence and check if there is transparency of the project, you will start to create some doubts. Once you start to hesitate but still insist that the project may succeed, then start investing with a small amount so that if the project end up as a scam, you will never be totally in loss and disappointed. So maybe this experience will bring lessons for you and by next time, do not trust easily from those new and unestablished projects as most of them are scams.
2451  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear vs Bull : The Beauty Of Cryptocurrency on: February 18, 2022, 05:46:21 AM
The image below have made me realize that there's actually no loss of money in crypto currencies, be it in a bull market or bear market, what we often see as a loss during bear market is actually a minds trick
The loss is real in crypto, we cannot generalize people's capacity in crypto business. You can claim to have no loss for the experts, but it is a usual case for newbies/beginners. In this matter, we cannot deny there are many people who lost their money in crypto investment/trading. However, it is all about "knowledge". Once you have enough knowledge and experience, you can smaller the chance for the loss since you take advantage of the bullish and bearish cycle. But for newbies, are often influenced by rumors because of having lack of knowledge and experience.

Bull and bear market in crypto intended to create a win-win scenario, thus no losses but purely gains. That is, if you have the skills and strategies to use in making an edge from having both of them. But if you only consider that bull season simply makes you more profits because of increasing prices while bear season makes the prices down without making a good analysis in it, then you will never know how to make advantage of them. That is why knowledge is truly a power. And experience will also help you to understand the different market cycle.
2452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine Just Legalized Bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 05:18:06 AM
Whenever I see any news about Ukraine I expect to see news from Russia attacking this country, these days. But the intreating thing about this case is Russia is trying to legalize bitcoin and the news was officially out a few days ago but right now and just a few days after that we hear Ukraine doing the exact same thing which is a bit odd because these two countries are not that much friendly together. Or maybe Ukraine is doing this because they are expecting to have a war with Russia soon.
I think Russia and Ukraine legalizing bitcoin simply maybe they want to reduce their dependence on the dollar and they see the potential bitcoin. In history, Ukraine was once part of the Russian Soviet Union. No country wants war, if who wants the war to happen it's the US government.
"The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward." This belief is what makes Ukraine to legalize bitcoin knowing there is bigger potentials in it and since bitcoin creates more opportunities to make a country more developed and progressive. Also, the pressure that was built into Ukraine by Russia made their official currency dropped a significant amount, that made them think to adopt bitcoin. That way, bitcoin investors can help Ukraine to save it from its down economy. Source:https://interestingengineering.com/ukraine-bitcoin-law
2453  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin failed to fulfill the purpose it was created for ? on: February 17, 2022, 09:56:17 PM
it might interest you to know that bitcoin has actually fulfilled all of its purpose plus a lot of others too that the creator never anticipated.
And also, yes, bitcoin is totally free from government control, like the saying goes "people fear what they can't conquer, hate what they can't control", this is clearly the case with China's ban on cryptocurrencies, Chinese government hate the fact they can't control bitcoin and cryptocurrencies so they clearly see it as a threat to their financial system, hence, they ban it out of fear.
It is clear to me that people will always downplay bitcoin. I mean even in a situation where bitcoin "failed" to do what it suppose to do, it is 40k+ right now and made many people millionaires. It is so fair that, there are more than 21 millionaires in the world, meaning not every single millionaire will have 1 bitcoin, some of them will have to have less. So that should tell you the future of bitcoin as well.

I do not think that it has failed, but even in that thought we are still doing awesome in profit and adoption. So all these people who keep trying to find some mishap or mistake or failure in bitcoin will never end, they will keep on trying but they will never succeed at all.
There's always those negative critics on bitcoin even how profitable bitcoin is today. And for that, there's nothing we can do but to ignore them. However, if we deal on the real purpose of bitcoin, i guess making it as an alternative payment will only happen if the government will accept it as a currency. Just like El Salvador who was brave enough to accept bitcoin as a legal tender, and they're making benefits from it now. And bitcoin that should stay free from the government, i think with its present status, most of the countries have no control over bitcoin today and this maybe the reason why they don't want to accept it as a legal currency because they can't take full control on it.
2454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Bitcoin on: February 17, 2022, 08:05:05 PM
You are now in the right path OP as investing in bitcoin will always be a good opportunity to make your future brighter than ever.  In fact, owning 1 whole bitcoin is one of the wildest dreams of the people in the forum because its definitely an investment that may be risky but its potentially extremely profitable. So good luck on your bitcoin journey as you set yourself ready from all its roller coaster moves.

I do feel the same way of everyone here in crypto community, for me 1 bitcoin is very big and enough to say that I now already own a bitcoin though it may not enough to say that I'm rich now owning 1 bitcoin but this kind of number is quite enough to say that I made a great decision to have a great investment for me and my family that will be good for future purposes. I am still aiming for that number but I guess this will be a long journey for me but I wouldn't give up on this number, 1 bitcoin is big number!
I think the reason why we stay in crypto is to gain more profits and to acquire more coins like completing the whole portion for bitcoin, because that way creates more assurance that you'll never be living poorly as long as you know how to grow your bitcoin. But for OP, you already have an edge by owning bitcoin so you should never take it for granted even if its price suddenly falls because it will always regain its value overtime. Invest more so you will also have the chance to own potential altcoins as well.

Japan’s borders could be set to reopen in March after being closed to tourists for two years.
The tight restrictions are set to expire on 28 February. And, though they could be extended again, the government is reportedly inclined to let them end.
Source: https://www.euronews.com/travel/2022/02/16/japan-s-travel-restrict

Found this article while I was searching for some updates about this fight. Seems that they're getting ready to welcome tourists again soon and hopefully we can get some updates about this fight too.

Great news, this is the information where we can think that the fight will happen this year. We've been talking about this fight since it's a unification fight, and now that they have lifted up the restriction, there's no reason that this fight will not happen.
2456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 17, 2022, 02:45:37 PM
The winning streak of the Bolts is now over, it was ended by the Northport in a good win as they beat the Bolts in a wide Margin.
Final score was 98-109, and Bollick is the leader of the local players.

Now, the only undefeated team in the PBA is only Magnolia.

That means they are not really unbeatable, Northport has some talents also and they match the Meralco Bolts very well. They have Sumang who also had some great contributions to the team including the ankle or Knee breaker to the import of Meralco.

No team is unbeatable in the PBA, even in the NBA or any kind of sports as upset does happen. This is not a big upset though as the NP is also a decent team, their improvement this season on their lineup is a big thing, and Bollick is healthy so expect that they'll give their opponent a problem, and they beat Meralco who are one of the hottest team in the PBA.
2457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 17, 2022, 02:22:44 PM
I haven't really been in the loop of boxxing fights regarding professional boxxers like Kell Brook so this might be a little bit naive of me to ask, however I still feel the need to ask as I am a bit curious: Why does everyone keep saying that Kell Brook is going for Amir Khan's chin in the fight and if he does not, it would be a waste?

Did Khan have a chin injury or is that just somehow Kell Brook's special move? To go for the opponents chin?

Seems like a typical practice in boxxing anyhow, so is there any need to say anything much about it?

Check Youtube and use the keyword Amir Khan all losses and you'll find out why he is called glass chin most of his losses are coming from punch in the chin, the Canelo fight is very popular because it only took one punch in the chin to knock Khan out and it's a very worrying knock out because he was out in the middle of the air with his head banging in the floor of the ring.

Yeah, he was great until his weakness was exposed. His boxing skills are good but he doesn't have a strong chin so every time he makes a mistake, there's a chance that he will be knocked out, and probably that's the reason why he is the underdog in this fight.
2458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a safe haven for criminals on: February 16, 2022, 09:44:16 PM
It's great that criminals can't hide behind the network of decentralized computers. It's comforting to see that cyber criminals are getting caught and thrown inside prison. The cyber criminals must understand that they can't run forever and enforcement agencies have tools to track them down.

I would recommend to read this article to get better insight on how DOJ had tracked them down.
This is a really good way to prove it to critics who keeps lying about Bitcoin that everything that they have been saying is totally a lie. Some critics has always been saying that Bitcoin is being used by scammers, because it makes them anonymous and that they won’t be caught, and they’re always using this as an excuse as a way for them to push for the ban of Bitcoin. So, I believe that with news like this that it is crystal clear now that Bitcoin cannot be a tool for such thing. So, those of them carrying such news can now know that all they have been saying all this while is totally wrong.
If those people who made critics against bitcoin know exactly that there is more transparency in bitcoin compared to fiat, then will never stick to their own belief that bitcoin is very useful for criminals. In fact, there are more cases in fiat compared to bitcoin about money laundering and fraudulence, and most of them end up unresolved. But with bitcoin, no matter how good you are in scamming, this decentralized but transparent system will never make you succeed in the long run as you will still be traced and identified after series of investigations.
2459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you regret when you miss selling at ATH followed by a correction on: February 16, 2022, 09:17:31 PM
~
It's not that easy of a mindset, OP if you even care. For newbies, the usual term "FOMO" becomes common to them when it comes to those situation. Whatever ROI that they had missed due to another ATH caused them to panic to immediately buy because why not right? It keeps them thinking that there will be another ATH. Don't believe me? It came from my experience when I was still starting in crypto and it was a truly horrendous experience.

Good thing I wasn't fully committed yet to crypto that time.
For newbies the situation really becomes very worst some time because they often invest in scam coins with in the rush to get the profit. They often do these regrets and they often miss. But with time they learn to remain calm and do not rush and they then watch everything first then learn and after that take decision.
I guess not just in crypto, but in all types of investments, we often create wrong decisions at first but as we go on, we learn to understand why did it happen and becomes more calm and watchful on the market. Yes, the given situation will really make us to feel regrets because we miss a good chance to sell, but does regretting helps us in another way? I guess no. So we should change our mindset and just be contented on whatever profits we have at the moment and just sell.  Crypto is unpredictable so there is no guarantee that we can make more profits in the next days to come, especially if the market suddenly crash. So as much as possible, sell when we see good opportunity to make profits, as long term hodling is not always profitable in the long run.
2460  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: February 15, 2022, 08:42:39 PM
It's best to always take the profit of the coin which is been held if the person don't feel like to sell the coin to rebuy another. But it's not still advisable to hold a particular coin for a very long time expecially coins that are not too reliable. If one should decide to hodl coin for a long it should be a coin that their is assurance its a future coin.
We should not forget to take profit at times especially if our coins are increasing, thats the purpose why we are investing, to gain from our investment. But sometimes people are greedy to earn more, even the price are high enough they are aiming for much higher price. Well there's nothing wrong with that especially if you dont need the money yet, but isn't it more wise to enjoy some of your profit? Anyway we have different strategies and certainly know what is best.
Hodling is an investment strategy that prevents you from losing from those short term volatility so you preferred for long term hodling. But is this really a wise investment strategy? For some, yes, especially if they are hodling most likely bitcoin. But for others, no, as there are more profits if you can manage by selling at the peak and buy back again when the market is bearish. Profits will be compounded little by little and before you realize it, you have owned already a lot of bitcoin out of single bitcoin that you managed to buy and sell.
