1461  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: December 15, 2022, 08:59:31 AM
I would choose to work as a freelancer which is basically the best of both worlds. A self-employed lifestyle is the best way to earn money in this competitive world in my opinion though there are certain risks associated with it.

However, I feel that the pros of this particular lifestyle outweigh the cons which is why it's my recommended lifestyle overall.
Yours is pretty good. Being a freelancer, you can do whatever you want at your own manageable time. Also, you can work on your own pace without having a boss or a co employee that will intervene in your desired job. And when it comes to business, you can actually focus on your goal alone and create an action that you think will give you unlimited profits. Either way, I guess being a freelancer will most probably suit to those people who can excellently perform without supervision from other people.
1462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipping during live slot, or casino games. on: December 15, 2022, 08:18:13 AM
Though tipping is being done voluntarily and cultural, I usually do it when I get lucky and have good winnings. I believe that we're not forced to tip them but we can do it out of love. I once tipped a machine attendant before and he was really happy and wasn't able to hide his emotions knowing that his son is sick and he could use the tipped money for his medication. Sometimes, our simple act of kindness could mean a lot to others.

I have a similar opinion. I sometimes tip when I win, but it's not a rule that I follow or anything.
Tipping should always be a personal choice, not forced like it is sometimes in the US where a tip is added to your bill whether you like it or not.

I don't tip in online games, even with a live dealer. I don't really feel a connection with other people through an app. I come from a culture where 20 years ago most people did not hear about tipping, so I try to do it but I don't do it very often.
Personally, I do tipping too whenever I appreciate their good services, regardless if I’m in loss or in profits. As long as I felt love and happiness that time, the generous side of me eventually come out. But I do believe giving tips is not compulsory, it should be done with your own willingness and kind heart. Most particularly if that attendant has been very good to me everytime I bet, surely that person will always receive a reward.
1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you pass stakes proof of income verfiication? on: December 14, 2022, 09:52:34 PM
I am not a high roller so I guess I won't be included in this one.
But I am kind of curious about those who will need to fill this up. Will there really be a problem since there must be a source of where the money is coming from?
About the deposit from the other gambling site. This is something else, I think it can be explained as to why you are transferring it to them.
One good reason that I could think of is the lack of availability of the games you like on the old platform that you are using.
Showing proof of it might help. I mean, who doesn't like new customers?
High rollers have bigger amount of bankroll, so it’s a necessary thing for them to show their proof of income. But like me who is just a regular gambler, I don’t think I am obliged to that. Stakes only need proofs when there is huge amount concern. Other than that, we are free to gamble and withraw funds on a small basis. But if ever it will be compulsory in the future, I think I’m not willing to do that and completely disclose my privacy.
1464  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep your money off exchange, in this crisis moments hold Bitcoin for safety on: December 14, 2022, 09:15:45 PM
Recent events in the cryptocurrency market have forced a lot of cryptocurrency investors and traders to start moving their funds off-exchange most especially centralized exchanges.

There has been a lot of bank runoff with cryptocurrency and a lot of banks are under fed investigation on possible use of customers money to invest in cryptocurrency through centralized exchanges, and with the recent bankruptcy war and money laundering investigation against major exchanges.

It has become imperative to avoid exchanges.and the coins, convert all asset into Bitcoin, and transfer them to your own wallet with your wallet recovery phrase saved. Go on break till after Bitcoin halves in 2024 and if you must invest buy more bitcoin.

Friendly reminder not your key, not your coins!

As much as we want to hold our bitcoin safely and free from all hackers and scammers, then it’s a must that we should start avoiding centralized exchanges because they can’t be reliable in the long run. The previous events should have been our best reminders that centralized exchanges are still prone to hacking and scamming no matter how reputable they seem. That is why saving our funds with our own wallet is the best way not to fall for future scamming events within centralized exchanges.
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the smart choice not the entire crypto industry on: December 14, 2022, 08:56:32 PM
Bitcoin is supposed to be the main investment in cryptocurrency for every investors. It's advised to have a portfolio of 90% in btcs and only 10% or 5% in altcoins.

Altcoins aren't totally excluded because they also give access to interesting benefits for some investors, which they can't find on bitcoin, so they go for those altcoins as well and we can't say they are wrong for investing this way. Although they are more risky than bitcoin, the potential is still there, anyway.

It just need to be a calculated risk.
Bitcoin should always be the top crypto choice other than altcoins because we have seen and heard that bitcoin still dominates the rest of the crypto investments. Although it’s way more expensive than altcoins, but sometimes we also need to take some calculated risks so we can also be a lot more profitable than our regular income. Altcoins may also have some big potentials to be successful in the long run, but only few of them survive in the end. But with bitcoin, you know it will always be successful especially if you make it a long term investment.
1466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have Lucky Casino? on: December 14, 2022, 08:20:29 PM
I’m playing same set of games on different casino not just to get the bonuses of each casino but also to have a different mood of my mind set. It really helps me to calm down and focus whenever I’m losing big time on one casino. It also helps me to not chase my previous losses because I think about it as fresh start.

With this regular routine, I notice that I have a specific casino that I’m always winning despite I’m playing same game that I lose huge amount on the other casino. I do randomly change the sequence of my game on casino and keeps giving me same good result on my personal lucky casino. I highly believe that this luck of mine related on how I feel when playing on that casino. I’m expecting that I will be lucky so my mind is always optimistic whenever I’m playing on it.

Do you have this kind of casino?

Well, I think it’s a must for us to feel positivity and expect to become lucky when gambling since gambling is based mostly on pure luck and chances. So whatever you feel will also attract the same thing, like the law of gravity. However, on asking if I have one lucky casino, I would say no because in all sites that I have played, I encountered certain amount of losses. Although I also won sometimes, but mostly I have seen losses than profits. And I knew it even before since the house will make sure that they will always win.
1467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof Of Income Will This Pass on: December 14, 2022, 07:59:17 PM
Ok, suddenly the casino you're playing asks you for proof of income to be able to withdraw your winnings and to keep your account in good standing, your bankroll every month is $500 and you provide proof of salary that you are making $500 net every month, will they accept that proof will they accept that you are putting all your salary for gambling, will this violate the principle of gamble for fun, because you are working to gamble based on your proof income.
i think it doesn't matter. because the casino only wants the reputation of the player and the casino to remain good.
all I know when the casino asks for proof of your salary is just to prove that you really put in $ 500 of your job salary. because what the casino fears every time you put money into the casino with the same amount every time is afraid if the money is the result of money laundering or corruption.
so if the casino has received proof of your salary they will be fine.
Right. The casino needs your proof of income for verification only to prove that you are not making money out from any fraudulence. So if you are making just the right income you have in your bankroll, then it won’t matter all, you will still be allowed to gamble anytime you want. The casino after all is only concern for their own reputation, and maybe not yours lol.
1468  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: December 13, 2022, 09:55:20 PM
No one needs advice, or shares advice if they are really making money out of it. Just obey and listen the facts and traders are good to go. The basic thing that any trader needs to understand is that, don’t go for money. I mean don’t be greedy. No one can become millionaire overnight. Take calculated risk and trade the amount that you can afford to lose. It’s fine to at first lose, in order to understand the process. At last be confident and be cautious to the market.
I think when it comes to trading in a very unpredictable market, no one is considered expert or professional in the real sense. Everyone here acts as a pleb, trying to win over the market with no guaranteed results. That is why if you want to create good trades, never go with money. Avoid being greedy and never chase profits all the time. Just stay calm and focus on the market, and stick to bitcoin. And never lost your patience as it’s always the best key to succeed.
1469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why every casino got bad habits? on: December 13, 2022, 09:24:38 PM
There's no perfect business. Some users are complaining before even reading the TOS and not noticing that they are breaking it. I would say there will be no funds frozen or account banned if users had read the TOS carefully and if they are not abusing the casino. Not unless the accusation is true, there are cases that casinos do this to avoid paying their users. But trusted casinos stick to their TOS, and we must face that there are users who abuse casinos' promotions or even avoid KYC due to country restrictions and yet use VPN to gamble.
Yes, there’s no perfect business as well as perfect users or players. And even if casinos perform into almost in perfection, there will always be users who tend to become foolish and abusive, and abiding with the rules seems very hard for them. That is why we can’t blame casinos if they act being rude sometimes like delaying payouts so that those users will learn their lesson eventually, and start following the ToS in gambling.
1470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 10, 2022, 07:33:48 AM
I was wrong, I thought the hottest game will be Cleveland vs Sacramento, the really hot scorching game was in New Orleans.  Cheesy
Frustrations came out, CP3 looking for a fight, Alvarado being a pest to him might have something to do about all that emotion.
I think even the coaches got hot and said some bad things.
Anyway, the Nets didn't cover but I want to flex my parlay.  Cheesy

Hawks didn't win it, LOL.. It only give me a little excitement but they were careless in some positions, like grabbing the rebounds, such a bad bet. Anyway, moving forward, we still have games left but I'll put my last money on the Bucks on the road.
I don't know who to bet for on these two teams, I'll guess I'll stick with the player props. Good luck on that.

Very nice parlay, you choose the team well and got good odds. Honestly, I'm used to betting parlay but not betting on low odds like what you do, but you are so good with that so continue with what you are doing, allow me to congratulate you mate.

We have Dallas vs Bucks, Dallas still leading the game but you know when you are playing against the Bucks, you can never be complacent as they have the championship DNA and they can come back with a big run. Watching the game now and I'm enjoying it.

Dallas must be watching replay of their game and sure have seen a lot of mistakes done especially in the 4th quarter.
They could not blame it on Luka though because they should contribute to help their main man.

The rally of the Bucks begun when Luka was setting, I don't understand why Kidd waited for the Bucks to lead the game before putting him back .
1471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 10, 2022, 06:21:34 AM
By the way, don't forget to watch the games today.

We have Northport vs Ginebra ( do or die for NP)
SMB vs Converge ( do or die for Converge)

It's a must win for the underdog here, but honestly, I don't trust them winning against these two giants, maybe the best they can do is to make it a close game, because last time they were dominated completely.
1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 10, 2022, 05:44:24 AM
Big win by the Bucks, although Giannis was fouled out late in the 4th quarter but his teammates were able to do the unfinished job for him. Their defense is the key to the win, and Dallas lots of turnovers and miss FT's cost them this game. It was an entertaining game to watch overall, hopefully Dallas will learn more how to play better in clutch times.
1473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 09, 2022, 08:51:20 AM
We've seen those talkers in Inoues past opponents but it turns out that ending up on being a disaster.I do agree that Butler shouldnt really be that talkative right now.  Cheesy

Trashtalks are like a natural reaction for a fighter who acts tough but are really afraid of their opponent, as they are trying to get into their opponents head, hoping he'd get distracted and lost his concentration.
Some other trash talks are deliberate, to gain media attention and sell the fight, but in this case, I don't think it needs to sell as Inoue is now a rising boxing superstar that everyone loves to see.

That's not true, I know a good trash talker but a very good boxer. I'm sure you know Mayweather, he loves to trash-talk his opponent but he retires as an undefeated boxer. In the case of Butler, it's sure different because his record or achievement in boxing is not at par on Inoue's achievement, so he makes himself looks like a clown.
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 09, 2022, 08:26:51 AM
For those who are thinking that Bay Area Dragon will not be able to cover the high spread, I think you guys are wrong. 3rd quarter now and the score is 85-54, that's in favor of the Dragons, looks like it was really a mismatch game, no hope for the ROS to have a big comeback as they are not the Gin Kings, and they don't have the crowd to support them.

By the way, we have a similar handicap on the next game.

Magnolia is -14.5 against Phoenix, are we going to see the same outcome in the first game?
1475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: December 09, 2022, 06:12:44 AM
Right, but I do think that Canelo will take care of Bivol first, that's probably his primary target for next year after he healed his hand injuries.

On the other hand,   should not look forward for a Canelo fight, he has his hands full against Caleb Plant. Just focus on this task first and let his fist do the talking. If he wins then good, start talking a potential fight with Canelo and then see how it goes.
Both of them want to fight with Canelo, maybe each of them want to prove which want is deserved to fight with Canelo. Since Benavidez haven't fought Canelo, it will be interesting to see what the result would be. But Caleb Plant have fought with Canelo before, the result is really bad, Canelo won via TKO in the round 11. Plant can't resist Canelo's punch anymore at that's round and he just become punching bag, so I don't see any interest to see a rematch between Plant vs Canelo.

So David Benavidez has to win this fight for us to at least get excited about a possible fight with Canelo because a Canelo vs Plant 2 will never excite the fans. It's better if Canelo will have a rematch with Bivol if that would happen, so the outcome of this fight is very interesting, with that said, I'll be backing David Benavidez to win.

For us we want fresh face against Canelo, but if Plant win then we don't have any choice and so is Canelo for a second fight with Plant since he is the mandatory again.

So all of us, or at majority here wanted a Benavidez win so that we will see a young fighter up against Canelo and we will see if the power of David will finally crack the chin of Canelo (which I doubt).

But it could be a good sell for the fans .

68.8% voted for  David Benavidez to win by KO/TKO, so that's really something, we believe that Plant will lose this fight. I was surprised that only few voted for  David Benavidez to win via decision considering how tough plant is against Canelo, he might survive this 12 rounds and lose, that's my prediction.

As a fan, I like to see a new face against Canelo, that would be a little unpredictable although I still think Canelo will dominate.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 09, 2022, 05:23:45 AM
Close game between the Heat and the Clippers. Bam playing really well with 29 points already with half a quarter left to go. PG13 trying his best to keep the Clippers in the game. Ideally I would have expected Clippers to win but the Heat playing at home seems to have taken the edge.

And Butler taking over in the last 2-3 minutes of the game, scoring like 6 points in succession with the smaller Reggie Jackson guarding him in the post. And then he made sure with a big rebound in the other end against PG13.

So the Heat stop a 2 game losing skid, last game was worst when they lost against a low team, but this time, Jimmy make sure that they will get the win at home.

I do agree that PG13 do his best, and they almost win this game, but this miss some crucial shots down the stretch and Jimmy taking that opportunity.

Jimmy is good at crucial times, in short he is a clutch player (except what he did in the playoffs against Celtics). Big win for them, bounce back after some losing streak and now they are fresh again. LA Clippers on the other hand probably did their best, but it wasn't enough because they are undermanned and they still miss the most important player in the roster.
1477  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term Crypto winning strategies on: December 07, 2022, 09:59:49 PM
Dear All

There are two bodies in crypto, Traders, and investors. Today's topic is for investors. Specially very longterm investors. There are investing strategies for everyone. Share your ones.

Most common and sometimes I adhere

Collect BTC  at Deep Dips. (recently FTX collapsed)

Collect potential Alts Bear market.

so lets share your belives on strategies.
While others go for alts for long term investments, some are still smart enough to focus on bitcoin and just do DCA so they can always take advantage especially when the market is in deep bearish. That is the mindset of successful investors to keep on accumulating bitcoin at every price drop and once their efforts paid off, then they can start diversifying their investments with altcoins that are on top of the market list. These long term strategies have been proven effective and profitable for a lot of times.
1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 07, 2022, 09:45:18 PM
I would totally agree with you if you only talked about bitcoins and no other cryptocurrencies. However, if you said that altcoins are also suitable for long-term investment, I would disagree with your statement. Altcoins can also give us big profits, but they only last for a while or cannot sustain their growth. They are not like bitcoins that always recover from a drop. Many say that holding top altcoins will generate profits, but they still need to learn that, over time, the top altcoins will be replaced by newer altcoins.
Long-term investing is only true for bitcoin, not for altcoins.
Altcoins are just considered clones from bitcoin, so they can never survive for long term as clones are just good at the start but become obsolete later on. But with bitcoin, long term investing will prove its utility cases and will gain more users because of that. And that bitcoin long term investing will increase the chance to gain guaranteed profits especially when the market is already in bullish season.
1479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 07, 2022, 09:24:13 PM
Crimes can happen everywhere even in Churches there were crimes committed, safety should be our concern wherever we are and we can do this if we know how to be observant of places and people so we should all practice safety and be observant of anything suspicious
This is right especially if you enter a place that has a relation with money, the crime chance will increase too.

@OP although you can gamble using online casino and you think no one can know your location and house since you're not sharing your information except to the casino, you need to think there's a chance if the casino's security leaked and criminal know your location. You could be targeted by $5 wrench attack if you're a huge bettors. So make sure you're protect your privacy and know the risk first.
Well, I always believe that engaging in gambling whether it’s online or in physical casinos, have always their own risks. Because as long as money is involved, the chance to get hacked or being stolen is still of high rate.   So if one decides to gamble, then he should learn how to deal with its risks and how to always protect his funds from hackers or from those who plans to knock off your finances. One thing that gamblers should always be alert and mindful.
1480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are end-stage adopters going to be happy owning fractional amounts of bitcoin? on: December 07, 2022, 08:59:42 PM
Right now, most people who want to get into crypto during this bottom-phase of the market but are still hesitant to buy bitcoin because they are going to see 0.0xxxxxxx on their screen and be dissatisfied most likely. Again, this is the behavior of an individual who is uninformed, or misinformed.

I already sound like a broken record at this point, but this is exactly why I think the Bitcoin community should move to a smaller denominator(like sats or bits) by default. Lot's of people are getting tricked into shitty bitcoin alternatives such as XRP/NANO/BCH/BSV.
They did it because they have no idea on the consequences of their actions, instead they believe that shitcoins with cheaper prices can be as much as profitable like bitcoin. And that’s how those uniformed newbies or the so called highly greedy investors resort into shitcoins seeing it could be good alternative to bitcoin. However, while others are reluctant to bitcoin, some have become more obsessed to obtain bitcoin that they buy it from time to time without taking glances to shitcoins.
