2441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7th September 2021 Bitcoin becomes legal tender first in history on: September 08, 2021, 01:20:39 AM
This is an excellent step for everyone. They may not have the power like the significant countries that run the world, but it's a start. I think making it legal and somehow making noise in the world is going to attract some people. I did see a post about it from Bloomberg business on Instagram.

It's incredible seeing 21k likes on this. Maybe they are already involved in the crypto space or exploring now.
2442  Economy / Economics / Re: China cracking down innovation on: September 07, 2021, 02:04:51 PM
Maybe they are doing that because of the cheapest way to buy so much more than the actual price, and it's not bad for them. Maybe specific groups of people have planned it and are manipulating it to get the best price.

I think the reason why the Chinese have so much influence is because of how many they are. Think about it, almost everyone knows someone who is Chinese, and if they see that person be an influencer or something, they would follow their decision and dump BTC if that's the case here.

Maybe they are so used to it already that they have managed all these years, and it didn't affect their economy with that.
2443  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin fall need a reason? on: September 07, 2021, 01:10:56 PM
Was this topic made to click for on the site?

Anyway, in the short-term, yes, but not in the long-term one. It's always better to look at the bigger picture, especially if you believe in the part where you can conquer negativity and remain. Imagine those people stuck here because they believe in the project and the years that have passed; it bared fruit.

If the noobs plan to remain, they will learn for sure.
2444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fall cheaply for Fudders on: September 07, 2021, 01:33:26 AM
I think the most significant cause of this is becoming human, essentially. Most people are driven by the thought of having FOMO in anything, knowing that seeing some news about it would affect their judgment. It's not wrong, but you will always be involved, like thinking about making the right decision by HODLing or something. We can't blame the person for following what news is being heard and spread. It's probably their reaction, and they didn't believe in the project long-term.

The best thing, IMO, is to HODL what you want and believe in the project.
2445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the stupidest thing you have bought for BTC in the past ? on: September 06, 2021, 02:00:25 AM
It's always something that I would never forget—buying a good backpack for $120, IIRC. I mean, at the time, it was something that I wanted, so I was happy. It was 0.04 BTC back then, so right now, every time I look at that bag, it's like, why???

I think it serves as a reminder for everyone that we do things because we want to be rewarded, and at that time, it was a good decision because we made it happen already. We cannot do anything else anymore, Just accept it.

We don't need to ponder much on the past.
2446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Metaverse x Gambling on: September 05, 2021, 02:12:07 PM
I think the concept of money is not going to be changed whenever or wherever we are since it's always going to be why some people are doing it. I think the play-to-earn type of thing is always going to be lucrative and with all the people trying to do something to make their lives better whether it's in gambling or playing games, it's just the same overall.

What interests me in that project is the "delegation" type of project. It seems new to me or is it quite old already?
2447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Ethereum reach 10k? on: September 05, 2021, 08:48:56 AM
Imagine it with BTC. Maybe you thought of it first not reaching $10k when it was $4k and then look at it now. Reaching $60k and currently at $48k~$50k range. I think the technical terms that you should consider is the one with how much money should be in the space to reach that kind of price. I think if you reach the valuation of BTC in ETH, that could reach the $10k mark.
2448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My ledger got hacked on: September 04, 2021, 06:30:21 PM
One thing that I thought about when I read this is that Ledger has the paper to write your seeds on to, why did you even bother to put it in an online storage? The probability of guessing some random seed phrase that has balance is nearly impossible. If it was that easy, cryptocurrencies should be no longer existing because it's flawed but it's not. So it's still here.

Probably make amends with yourself and accept the loss. You can't do anything about it anymore. Anyway, did you see the transactions that had happened in your wallet? That it really left the address etc?

2450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is this even safe? on: September 03, 2021, 03:42:41 AM
Maybe you can try to have wifi controlled power switch that controls all the power in your mining rigs. Have a CCTV so you can see what is happening on the farm and then if something happens, just turn it off remotely. I'm not sure if anyone has done this but maybe it's something to ponder upon. I use it for some electronics like the charging of e-bike and stuff. Maybe it can be applied towards this as well. They are very useful.
2451  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Give me some investment advice on: September 03, 2021, 03:29:25 AM
You should seek financial advisers for your inquiry. I feel like every member here will just share their opinion on how you would handle it but can't give concrete advice on what you can do with your money.

With your idea, it's great that you should allocate different portions of your portfolio to different markets. If I understood correctly this would be your approach
  • USDT-BTC Perp - Futures
  • BTC-ALTS - Spot Market
  • USDT-BTC - Spot Market

Those are going to be your pairs, right? I think that would be great especially if you trade it continuously. Are you planning to use tools like Gunbot to maximize your opportunities?

Anyway, for your question on how I allocate. Mostly it's allocated more in futures than spot. 60% futures, 20% Spot market, and 20% HODL. This is my approach.
2452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] ETH Gas Prices on: September 02, 2021, 02:30:42 PM
Since the technology is quite new in a sense compared to other modes of payment, there is still more to do with the current updates especially when it is becoming even more mainstream now. There's no doubt about it and having that kind of opportunity to have L2's that come along with it is not bad as well. We all know the problems that can occur like what OP has included in the post, but still, we are discovering something that is saving our current financial worries.

I'm worried about the Gas fees a lot and checking the Ethereum Average Gas Limit Chart it's at a steady pace of increasing. It's getting harder and harder to use ETH.
2453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the last quarter of 2021, prepare for the profit coming. on: September 02, 2021, 01:59:54 PM
The time is so fast that we didn't notice that it's already near Q4. I think that's where you are pertaining to. With this in mind, a lot of people can get more money from different sources, whether it's from their day jobs and bonuses, for sure it could lead to some increased money flow towards crypto.

I agree with you that you can still profit from the projects. I'm just thinking about BTC and ETH. I imagine people who bought at $3k and seeing $50k now with BTC have sold it at such a low price feel. It's just pretty weird for them but I guess it's best to have that belief in a project that you will HODL for the long run.

The best strategy is to buy continuously and average down your bought price.
2454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: xxxxxYou think which will be the new NFT series? on: September 02, 2021, 09:04:23 AM
I think the best NFT that are going to be hyped and highly valued are nouns. The idea is excellent, and producing daily NFT forever is making the market scarce and somehow having them is an elite status if you have those kinds of NFT. It's not going to be easy to obtain something like this, but the pooling of funds is being done now, IIRC.
2455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we do what China did to gaming with gambling? on: September 01, 2021, 03:45:31 PM
I don't think that business owners will agree to that, knowing that they will have fewer players and less playing time. It's not going to be gone entirely, but the chances are that they rely on people who are always playing and not those who just go on it to try and have fun. I think having mandatory breaks on the actual game would be more helpful than taking breaks because some don't care about it. If it's a mandatory one, maybe it could reduce the addicted people and increase rage in people. Perhaps it can be a  choice for the players.
2456  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: P2P Crypto Trading - Which Platform Do You Use & Why? on: September 01, 2021, 02:14:19 PM
I'm always using the Binance P2P because it's a safe approach towards converting your assets towards what you want, whether you are buying crypto with fiat or vice-versa. I'm using it mainly because it's one of the most convenient ways to do actual trading. I mean, in Binance, you could easily buy a variety of coins available in the exchange and probably HODL it there. Making sure that you can afford to lose it since you know that anything can happen, whether it's getting hacked or something.

Most people would probably stay away from it since it involves KYC, but if you think it outweighs the trouble, why not?
2457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] Cryptocurrency Spoofing/Wash Selling on: August 31, 2021, 04:10:11 PM
This term is new to me, and I didn't know that whales are using it. It's exciting to me that you were able to show us this. I like your topic here.

Anyway, this is not something applicable to liquid pairs like USD-BTC or something of the like. I don't think it would be fast to cancel orders right away because many bots are probably being used in that specific exchange as well.

Are there arrests done in different markets already? Probably they get away with crypto exchanges.
2458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Difference Between Farming & Staking? on: August 31, 2021, 11:50:02 AM
I always have thought of it as the same, so I did a quick Google on this to find out the differences in general. We are comparing Yield Farming to Staking.

- Yield farming or liquidity mining, you temporarily lend crypto assets in a permissionless way.
- Staking is you lock up assets and act as a node, and there you confirm blocks in the blockchain.

Yield farming has higher risks but has bigger APY, while Staking has lower APY and has lock time.

I guess that's where you can compare the two. For a better investment, it depends on the money you are going to use. Is it going to be set aside and not needed right away? Or something that you need to liquidate right away? I think that's the better question.

2459  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might be ready to pump similar to December 2020 on: August 31, 2021, 03:55:36 AM
This is what I'm confused with, with this type of analysis. It's a trend line showing almost 30-45 degrees pointed upward, and it's already concluded as the same. I'm just not convinced right away, and this is not to offend you, OP. I'm just curious how it's considered with just that line.

Anyway, based on the pictures you posted, it looks comparable, but the previous price action from 2021 is different from the last action price from December 2020. So I guess we have to wait out what happens before December 2021, and then the chances of it being the same from 2020 will be determined whether it will go higher or lower. We will see it soon.
2460  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Friend borrowed 4 digits money from me, saying wait until BTC rises on: August 31, 2021, 02:16:44 AM
First of all, you took the risk of lending him your money. If you know him, you should've taken care of how much you will lend him without any risk for yourself and how much it can affect your lifestyle. Hopefully, this doesn't affect you much

If he ever traded on the account, you should've been updated on the progress because you are the one who funded the operation that he has. I think you should be the one handling the trading account to make sure he cannot just use your funds with that. It's going to be hard to validate if you don't hold or control the account used. In this way, you can verify all the trades there and see if they are used correctly. He cannot hide anything from you with that.

I think you should ask him for verification of the balance. Depending on where he is holding it, you should still be updated on it. I hope you find a way to be okay with it. Sometimes, money is what destroys friendships.
