2462  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: November 03, 2014, 01:58:34 PM
Well its obvious that they have reached a new level of incompetence, can't wait to see how they spin it and blame all of us for this happening.  You know, it never would have happened if we weren't so boisterous and pushy about getting our miners 8 months late.  You all should be ashamed of yourselves.
2463  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: XBTec Announce. New ASIC manufacturer. on: November 03, 2014, 03:26:15 AM
Seeing that they actually deliver product spam from XBTec is the least of my worries.

As for Black Arrow I would like to see a refund or, my miner delivered ($5k worth) or, the company shuttered. It's unacceptable that they remain in business after committing fraud on such a large scale.

One is supposedly accusing the other of theft, but doesn't seem all that concerned about it, really.

The other is supposedly being accused of theft, but doesn't seem all that concerned about it, really.

I find that more than a little strange on both ends of that equation.

This whole email list theft/sale seems really fishy to me.  Not sure what the answer is, but I find it a little to convenient that these "separate" companies are so close to each other geographically.  I am more of the belief that they are the same company and BA is the branch that attempts to create a chip and miners (miserably) and XBtec is the branch that uses other chips and makes miners.

Actually the more I think about it, BA claims theft, and that this company is just a few blocks away.  Forget the police, walk your ass over there and confront them BA, the fact that they didn't even do that is astounding and eye opening.

We win the bet tonight! That is something like another 5 game win streak.  Have about 5 bets to update on the spreadsheet, will get to it either tonight or tomorrow!
2465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Richardsguide.com sports betting Picks $25 a month +12.12 BTC on: October 31, 2014, 12:20:02 AM
Can you post a longer spreadsheet than one with less than 100 bets? I'm considering this but I want to see statistics.

I have only been keeping track for 2 months now.  I started keeping a rough track from last month until the beginning of this month, then decided to keep a more detailed one at the beginning of this month, but did not have enough information stored in the previous one to go back and update for the entire month.  So unfortunately, that is all of the statistical evidence I currently have at this time.  I can tell you though that for September I was up about 1.2 btc going into October.
Can you post the spreadsheet from September to October? Would be appriceated.

It is in a excel spreadsheet, if you would like to see it drop my a PM with your email and I can email it to you.  But note that it has basically no information on it besides what I bet and how much I won, and it isn't really the whole month, I will be happy to share it though if you send your email.

Absolutely its to sucker more people in, I would bet my bottom dollar that if some internal communications were shown, there would be many instances where they would be talking about no way of meeting their previous power consumption targets well before telling everyone, and I would continue to bet that this will be the same way.  How can a company with BA's track record blow away the power consumption targets of the likes of Bitfury, AsicMiner, Spondoolies, and Bitmain?  It just can't be done, they have trailed this entire time and there is no evidence to support that they will suddenly become huge players.  Oops, must watch myself, I could be being paid by the competition for a statement like that...
2469  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: October 28, 2014, 01:28:32 PM
Can Rockminer or Friedcat comment on what happens to the remaining hashrate that doesn't sell during the IPO?  Will it be used as self mining or reissued at a lower price?

If we can't sell out all of 5P,there are several ways to deal with the remaining hashrates :

1 Sell to big customers directly, some of customers who want to buy lots of hashrates are contacting with us.

2 Sell them with another IPO at HaveLock, such as AMHash2...

3 Sell them at our own website, like other cloud mining companies did.

4 Be always self mining.

I appreciate the reply Rockxie, that answers some questions, but I guess I was getting at what a few other people mentioned afterwards, namely, who currently owns the units?  Were they sold to Rockminer by AM?  Or are they just being franchised by RM, in which case, are normal franchising fees being paid on these units?  Is there some other arrangement besides the aforementioned?

Christian,

Thank you for the taking the time to contact us.

We understand your concerns in regards to the SCRYPT Fund.

First we would like to take this opportunity and let your know that Havelock Investments has worked closely with CryptX on several projects and their management team has always been transparent with us.

The CryptX team used to be very active on the forums as well until many forum members began a personal attack accusing them of many issues that were false in nature and at the end really came out of people working for the competition or just unhappy investors that did not see the return they were expecting. They currently provide updates via the HavelockInvestments.com update section of their funds.

The PETA and SCRYPT Funds are two funds that are tied very closely to the difficulty and price action of both Bitcoin and Litecoin.  As both the difficulty rose and the price / USD fell the Funds were impacted directly.

We have copied the CryptX team in this email and will await their response for your requests in regards to a Financial statement and invoices supporting their expenses.

Once again thank you for continued support,

So I got my answer. But honestly now I don't care anymore. Are they really adults? Crying because of some people being angry that they dismanaged the whole project? I understand everyone who is angry.

I never saw such a bad management than from CryptX. I wish you bankruptcy with our funds in your bag.

Cheers!

That response is actually quite funny. They got discouraged because of a few critics?  What did they expect?  They knew the nature of using the forums and there will always be people trying to out scams, and all they are doing is proving those people right.  Think how funny it would be if Microsoft or Apple got butt hurt because of critics and started doing what Cryptx did, out of business rather quickly.

And how is it that nothing is being done with the reinvestment funds?  There has been a few weeks here of relative small to no growth and if the funds would have purchased equipment a few weeks ago, we would all be seeing better dividends, instead they have been sitting doing nothing.  At least get them on bitfinex or bitvc to earn a little interest while we wait.

I cant believe this hast blown up yet.

A+ scam, would read again!

How is this a scam?  He is posting his picks for sports games, you don't have to follow them.  I am keeping an up to date spreadsheet of his picks for transparency sake, in fact, this is one of the most transparent threads on bitcointalk.  So if your going to troll without doing any research first, please take it elsewhere as it is only providing a good laugh here.
2473  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: October 24, 2014, 10:10:31 PM
To be Honest  I dont really care where they are from - I'm married to an estonian so location means nothing to me - There has been stirring in the  Press as one of the leaders of a political party did state he wouldn't want one living next door to  him.... Personally I would love it.... I'd could just pop round and make sure we get our refunds.

In truth you get good and bad everywhere in the world - Just in thi scase they are Romanian but the could easily be british,  French, etc etc

The police were more interested in him having a prior in Romania rather an being romania with it being part of the EU - Makes it eaiser for them.

I had a chat with Daniel this morning they actually bothered to ring me ( jumbley did ask them too ) I explained to him when i visited the police i gave them his details and his company - He todl me he was just a supplier of theres and is BA is not  his company - I had to explain that not many suppliers let other companies take payments for them and "help Out" at trade shows!

We'll see what happens I put everything in an email and he will speak to the managers - I'm not holding my breath. He said they had sorted out the problem with the psu's. but again i've been fed so many lies over the  last 10 months or so.

Police investigation of course stays open so we'll see where that takes us all.

So as soon as you open a police report they decide to open channels of communication with you, sounds like they are trying to cover their own asses.

I will check out the police report and add what I can.  Would also love for BA to open communication with me, should be interesting to talk about their lies.

Couple more suggestions...

On the mobile site, have an option to, "Go Back" as you go through the layers.  Example:  I click on soccer and then click on a league then click on a team but it is the wrong team.  Right now I would have to click on soccer again and then click on the league and the right team, but I would like a back button so I can just go back to the league I was already in and select the wrong team.

It would also be nice to be able to see my bet on the mobile version after going to "activity".  Right now you can only see the game and your stake with the odds, but I would like to be able to see the result that I picked as well.

Can optional email alerts be implemented where I can choose if I want an email everytime a bet is made with the bet information and/or when I win a bet?  There could also be other options as well.

Thanks, keep up the good work.

Looks like AMHash is trading on AM's goodwill, trustworthiness and popularity, which have clearly eroded. Seems like this venture will depend in large part on PR, which is AM's Achilles heel.  I just hope FC and Co. have learned some lessons from Gen 3, and have connected the dots between poor communication and low demand.

It's "co-sponsored by ASICMINER and ROCKMINER". Maybe rockxie will take care of PR.

Wonder who will be getting the profits from selling of the IPO as well as the profits from hosting and who will be left with the equipment once they go 7 days without a dividend?

Looks like roughly 2.5M USD being raised by the IPO, plus roughly 250K USD per month in electricity plus maintenance, and who knows what they will be worth by the time the asset is finished.

I support this movement and would even like to go a step further and have the blackarrow user and other known accounts banned from the forums.

I do understand that they have not violated any forum rules, but lets face it, they are on par with Butterfly Labs and are just some of the worst people to inhabit bitcoin.

Also, we can add trust spamming to their list of faults as you can see what they left under mine.  If they cannot back up the claim that I ordered an X-1 through them and that they refunded me (neither of which they can do), then it is an obvious abuse of the trust system.

Oh wait, is abuse of the trust system against forum rules?  I am unsure about this one, but they have done it with their trust post under my account.

As you can see though, it doesn't matter if you go 26-0, it takes one series of losses which occur every so often to put you bigtime in the hole. 3 coins in the hole = 4 months of profit at your rate. Not +EV in the long run. Need to rethink betting on these bad odds (genrally spreads of 10+ % house edge)

I think the spreadsheet is taken a little out of context as it shows a pretty limited range of bets in the fact that it only started tracking from the 4th of October.  I started following Rich's picks since the beginning of September on a different spreadsheet I had in excel just for my purposes, and if you take the cumulative wins from both spreadsheets, although still down, it is significantly less than what is shown.

Also, based on what is being made on average per month, it will not take 4 months to make up 3 bitcoins.  I am making about 1 btc every 15 days on average betting 100 mbtc each time.  By that math, it will take about a month to a month in a half to recoup losses.
2478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Richardsguide.com sports betting Picks $25 a month +12.12 BTC on: October 21, 2014, 04:59:02 PM
Not sure about SD but my thoughts are maybe event and date of the month?

I am not going to list the teams that are playing, I have what sport and the type of bet, honestly past that the teams don't really matter as long as you follow the system.

I thought about doing the individual date, but that doesn't really matter either as you aren't going to have totals by date and only by month.  Its no secret that Rich puts out 1-3 bets a day on average, so the individual days don't matter then.

Feel free to copy the spreadsheet and add your own columns, but it should be used for personal use only and should not be posted anywhere without my permission.  I also accept tips and if they are big enough can implement specific features for users, until then though, I will do what is quick and easy for me.

Also, I can bet for you and follow all of Rich's picks.  Details are on the spreadsheet and you will get your own tab and can watch your balance grow.
2479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Richardsguide.com sports betting Picks $25 a month +12.12 BTC on: October 21, 2014, 04:00:03 PM
Nice to see an attempt at independent tracking, i will watch the sheet, wish more details were provided good luck

What more details do you want?  Keep in mind that it is something I am doing free of charge and in my free time.

Could you explain what BFL'ing is as far as ethics?  I cannot find anything where BFL has been worse than BA and yet they still have an ethics rating.  Just some clarification here would be helpful.

I agree blackarrow is about as bad as it gets when it comes to ethics.

They have also announced that they are broke (aka bankrupt) and have had a large amount of coins stolen (apparently their security isn't great as they also apparently had their email list stolen). So that should also fit in somewhere.

Source?

It was a post on ecointalk, let me see if I can find where someone copied it about being broke.

About having coins stolen, they made a thread here talking about it and some changes they would like to see to the protocol.  Should be easy enough to find.
